I don't write a lot of reviews, but I just love this place. I have been trying to find the right salon for a few years and I think this is the one I'll stick with for a long-while. The products, the front desk staff, and of course the stylists are just incredible. At my first appointment, Althya asked me about my hair routine and current issues I was having (even though I was there to get a color treatment) and actually came up with a plan to treat my dry scalp. And for the first time in SO many years, it actually worked! I also highly recommend Althya for any hair painting - she's just fantastic.

I had a fabulous experience at Coupe Rokei! A very chic, clean, relaxing atmosphere, and a friendly, helpful staff. I initially went in to get my hair styled a certain way, but after a little consultation, my stylist Odie Lewis had me convinced that I would be happier with something else. She was super honest with me, and had a lot of good information about helpful hair tips and things I can do for my ultra-fine-no-volume hair! I really, really appreciated it! The cut she gave me is the best cut I've ever had, and I'm only sad I didn't go in sooner! Odie was so cute and fun to chat with and an obviously very talented stylist. My experience was pretty pricey, ( > $250 with product) but I felt pampered and attended-to, which is always important to me in a salon, (especially at that price) and again, the cut was so great! I loved my experience at Coupe Rokei and can't wait to go back in for a touch-up!

I was excited about getting my hair cut at a fancy salon with Ann, as I was looking for something new and hoping for expert advice on what would look good. Unfortunately what I got was an incredibly boring chopped bob with zero layers or texture which turns into an award triangle with my thick hair. It's also short enough to mean I will need to wait some time before getting it cut again (elsewhere). Major bummer.

The atmosphere at coupe rokei was amazing! I felt so taken care of and supported during my entire appointment. (And I applaud all their efforts and precautions to keep both the customers and staff safe during Covid.) I came in not knowing what I wanted to do with my hair, but Collin was great in helping me figure out exactly what I wanted and much more. It’s clear the stylists love what they do, and do an amazing job of sharing that passion. 10/10 will be back :)

I've been going to this salon for almost 10 years and have always had a great experience. Everyone who works here seems genuinely happy to be there, and the space is very clean. They make you feel fancy with a warm towel and tea while you wait for you appointment. +1 for Cori Kelly's hair chopping skills.

He didn’t give me an hard sells on product, didn’t try to talk me into anything unnecessary, and made the entire experience effortless. Out of all the salons in Seattle, choose this one. This is hands-down the most talented group of colorists and stylists around. I have naturally curly hair and Rory (co-owner) has been cutting my hair for years and Im so grateful I found her - she took my shaggy-do to an incredible head of curls!! A really incredibly talented person - any curly-hair client in need of a great cut would not go wrong with Rory cutting your hair. Mickel and Sarah both are incredible colorists who both pay attention to your color goals and work with you and apply their talent and skill to achieve the right look and color you are looking for - again, you could not go wrong with either artist. The entire staff at the salon is a great group of folks. The best in customer service.

Coupe Rokei is easily the best salon I've ever used. Over more than 10 years, I've never received a service that was less than perfect. The atmosphere is the perfect blend of funky/elegant, hip yet unpretentious, urban yet warm. The stylists and even the front desk staff stay for years and years and seem happy in their work. My stylist took lots of trainings and was always up on the latest products and techniques. The salon often takes part in or even instigates projects benefiting the community, too. I don't know how they do it, but the water temperature is always right, the towels are fresh and warm, and the scalp massages during the shampoo make one weak in the knees. Last but not least, you get to grab a palmful of those exquisite chocolate mint candies as you breeze out the door to bask in the admiring glances of strangers!

Coupe Rokei is a great salon in the heart of downtownnw Seattle. I have been going there for over twenty years - the service is excellent. My secret weapon: Kenny Paige! If you have curly hair, wavy hair, or any hair - he is so talented, and will figure out your issues. Always a pleasure to work with him.

I have been getting my hair cut (and colored, for a few years before I gave in to the gray!) for 13+ years! I wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and my lovely stylist, Sonja, is a very important person in my life. Not only is Sonja exceptionally skilled in haircuts and color, she has an amazing ability to read her clients to see what they are feeling and needing at any given time, and she knows then what she can do to move their hair right into the vision they have in their heads! Sonja has taken me from growing out my "brillo pad" hair that came back after chemo, to styling and coloring it as I turned gray, to helping me transition when I decided to give in to the gray and embrace it. Every time I feel I need a change, she graciously looks at the magazine photos I bring in, helping me to see what might work (and gently telling what might not), until we arrive at something that always makes me smile as I walk out the door. We talk about all sorts of things and I know she is a kindred spirit. Thank you, Sonja and Coupe Rokei. Here's to at least 13 more years!

I've been wanting to grow out my dark chocolate dyed locks, covid kind of forced me into revealing the beginnings of a cooler brown mixed with a bit of the greying. I needed a major update. Althya, a top colorist here, set me up right. She foiled me in such a manner that she barely touched my roots, but it blends seamlessly with my hair, I have an updated look, my hair is not fried but luscious, and we made a plan to continue. She took me from deep chocolate to a more beachy, lighter shade of brown that has all my clients and friends gushing. I cannot believe how happy I am!! I look more like I just got back from an amazing vacation than someone who is 9 months into a pandemic. I glow!!! Chef's kiss to Althya!!

Ask for Althya! I have been a regular customer of Althya's for a few years and I am there every six weeks for a bleach, color and trim. The front desk staff are SO accommodating when it comes to scheduling and meeting your needs. This is truly a full service salon where you are offered tea, a smock, a hot towel and amazing service by expert stylists.
