I have thick, somewhat frizzy Asian hair, and Aiko was able to thin it out and give me a clean, neat trim with texturized ends that should grow out very well in time for my June wedding. Before the cut, she gave good advice and input based on my hair texture. She then washed my hair, which was extremely relaxing. Once she got the scissors out, she cut most of it wet, dried it, then cut some more once mostly dry, and she did some more detailing at the end. She asked for input before taking off the cape. Aiko is very meticulous and only cuts as much as you want. I asked for an inch off, and she really did only cut an inch off. I have been to other places where the cuts are “done” in 10 minutes and are kind of choppy and sloppy, but Aiko truly took her time with me! She also just has a great personality and made me feel welcome. I will come back!

I completely trust my hair to her. Aiko has been cutting hair for our entire family for years now. She's very good with the kids (both under 10 years old): patient and quick. No bowl cut here (unless you wanted one). She's a great listener and always willing to try something new or offering suggestions. Her new space is awesome where she has her own room with a hairwashing station in the space! Very clean and parking offered.

Aiko is professional on every level but most profoundly makes everyone feel comfortable sitting on her chair! And I love her new place as it's very private, cozy and best of all, you don't need to worry about other clients of another stylist when you want to be yourself and relax. Highly recommend her business for anyone who want a stylish hairdo!

Nobody cuts thick, course, straight hair as perfectly as Aiko! For 38 years of my life, I endured haircuts ranging from terrible to good. But when I first moved to Seattle in 2008, Aiko gave me the best haircut of my life! I’ve followed her from salon to salon in the Seattle area. When she moved out of state for a couple of years, I did too! There was no reason to stay in Washington so I thought I could deal with getting regular haircuts. We returned to the PNW a couple years and about 18 haircuts later and so did Aiko! Especially during the pandemic, Aiko has given me a sense of normalcy with the fantastic haircuts and service she provides. Thanks, Aiko!
