Bianca made me feel at ease. She's easy to talk with. She makes you comfortable in het chair. When I first walked into the business I didn't know what I wanted but I explained where I was going and she suggested and I Loved my hair ❤️. So did my son and husband 😁. First time customer but definitely not my last. Bianca did an amazing job with my knotless box braids. It only took her 3.5 hours for medium waist length braids. My head didn’t feel tight at all. She was so nice and the Slidell salon was immaculate. No messiness between stylists or drama. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a salon.

I went to Mya twice and both times she did a phenomenal job. The first set of twists I had was the Havana twists. They were so pretty and they are my favorite. They were extremely neat. My experience at NolaBraider was awesome! This was my second time getting my hair braided by Mya, and she did an amazing job!! You will not be disappointed! The braiding time is very fast, so you won’t be in the chair for long. Also, the braids are painless and neat!!! I absolutely loved my experience here and my braids are always perfect. Deanca has been braiding my hair for 4 years now. She is on time and prepared, does neat & clean parts, and she can braid pretty quickly. I’m always in and out and under four hours and I have long natural hair down to my waist so that says a lot. She always gets the job done beautifully and in a timely fashion. Her light hearted spirit is always a plus as well, her good energy adds to the service.

I made an appointment with Amber. The salon looks nice all the girls were busy getting hands on. Morgan keeps people laughing it's a nice atmosphere. It was my first time and the only dislike I had was that I felt my hair was not washed properly. I didn't mentioned anything to Amber because it was my first time and I wanted to see how they worked and if I liked it but that's just me. The hair style looked nice but didn't last long. My hair was washed and pincurled. I like the fact that they go by appointments so you won't have to sit there for hours waiting. I'll be going back though they do really nice braids.

Her knowledge and expertise allowed me to get the best results and I love my hair every month I go to get my crochet styles done . I accidentally bought the wrong hair before my appointment, and Deanca took time to help me exchange it for the right hair (hair store conveniently next door) and I saved money. NolaBraider is My favorite and only place I get my hair done in Nola! I’ve been going here for almost three years and have never left with a hair style I didn’t LOVE! Every time i know my natural hair will be taken care of- minimal heat will be applied, and I will leave feeling beautiful! Being able to schedule my appointment in advance is perfect for my busy work schedule and i know my stylist will be ready for me upon arrival. I highly recommend and the IG page is a great way to pick a new style or stylist. Apt can book up quickly sometimes (that’s what happens when you do consistent quality work) so def book in advance if you can.

My gosh, this is my first time reviewing a business. Let me start off by saying so far, the braids look great. If that’s all you’re looking for, go here! A lot of product is used to slick hair down so if your hair is not very resistant to build-up, that might be a problem. What really disappointed me was the service. The stylist was certainly the least friendly I’ve ever encountered. (I won’t say her name because I honestly wish no harm against her personal success). She did not speak at all except to say to move my head like twice (or to other stylists). She actually rescheduled this appointment which I gladly agreed to. No apologies, no thank you, nothing. Also nothing when I completed the payment. Just “got it.” I know people can have a lot going on so I never expect people to be bubbly and overly talkative. But there is a level of professionalism that is nice when you’re paying a certain amount of money. I started to think I did something wrong, and it made me very uncomfortable. I wanted to go back for future appointments, but may have to look elsewhere. I wish them the best.

Before last November, I hadn't been since they were at their previous location, but my experience back then was also excellent, so when the time came, I knew who to look for. Now, I've been back for my third time, and it's becoming a habit. Their current location is awesome, and the stylists are extremely friendly and charismatic. Full head of medium box braids took 4 hours max each time. My only suggestion is for the Schedulicity app to show scheduling by time rather having to select a stylist first, but that's an app issue. Nolabraider is flawless!

So after a somewhat horrible experience from a different loctitian, I decided to come here after searching through their IG page. I looked at reviews and told myself “I need Ms. Dwana to do my hair; she’s got the experience and she’s loc’d.” A perfect combination. I was nervous about being unable to secure an appt until a later date, but I texted her and she took me in two hours later. The shop is right next to McHardy’s and any New Orleanian knows that’s where you can find some good chicken. It was clean with several TVs for your entertainment. My previous starter locs were frizzy and unappealing. When Ms. Dwana did them…maaaaaan! The care this lady took into doing my hair from washing to two-strand twisting was amazing! She didn’t rush, asked me why I wanted to start and what I was looking for, very knowledgeable about how I should take care of them, answered any questions I had, told me about her own loc journey, and even gave me some reading material on natural hair. She put on some music while I read which made the time go by. When she finished, my hair was LAID! The ends were curly, the parts were clean, and my hair looked moisturized. I am so much more excited to start my loc journey now that I found her and even happier that I didn’t settle on how frumpy my hair looked before. Ms. Dwana, if you’re reading this, I WILL be back. This is one black business that I am happy to support!!!

My daughter's box braids remained neat the entire 6 weeks my daughter had them and it was so easy to comb her hair out after. I received tons of compliments on my passion twists. In addition to doing a great job, Sparkle was a joy as well. She was very friendly and made sure to make us as comfortable as possible, even joking with my daughter about Tik Tok. What can I say, this is a family operation, family orientated, I always feel welcomed, Amber is so hard working but also will accommodate you, I appreciate that because being a full time driver it’s hard to get away from work. Amber will fit me in or find a stylist to help me and ALL the stylists are just as professional, kind and can pretty much make miracles happen they are all very talented! I’ve seen Amber create styles for people with alopecia, and hair loss it touches me because people who suffer from hair loss due to various reasons can be embarrassed and Amber will always make you feel and have you looking like a million bucks! Any style I show Amber she accomplishes or she will refer me to a stylist who can slay. Her salon is always clean and sterile, Amber is a stickler for cleanliness I appreciate that especially with the current pandemic going on. The thing I respect most about Amber though is her as a business woman AND a mother (she has three daughters who frequent the salon) Amber’s daughters are so respectful they address every client, they bring mom lunch, they keep up with all the current styles and techniques they always share ideas and styles. The way her daughters carry themselves is so professional and kind it speaks volumes to the type of person Amber is and that speaks on Amber’s integrity as a business woman! I just recently moved to new orleans and finding a good, consistent hair braider has been difficult, until i found Amber and her team. Everything about them was so proffessional. Their website where you can book appointments was so clear and concise and shows they actually have a passion for what they do and they arent just trying to get money as fast as they can. I went in to get feed in braids and they actually blew out my hair which most people dont do anymore. The hairstylist that did my hair was a little late so she added extra intricate designs to my hair for no extra cost which was really amazing. The enviroment was friendly, happy, all the clients in the salon and the srylists were conversating and having a ball enjoying getting there hair done like the way its supposed to be. And Cee (my braider) gave me scalp spray and a massage for a little flaking i had. She actually took care of my hair rather than just slapping braids in.
