I got my haircut here and Kimberlee did a phenomenal job. She was very patient and deliberate. Had a fun and friendly conversation too! The prices are reasonable and they follow a good social distancing and covid protocol. Your temperature is checked when you walk through the door.

New to town, I booked an appointment with Kimberlee for a haircut that adjusted the style and grow out of my long pixie and was delighted with the results. Three weeks later and I’m still in love with it, plus I went back to have her do my color. What she suggested was a little more edgey than I’d done in a while, but she did such a fantastic job. Every time I wash and style it I stop and think how much I love it — something I’ve never done with any other stylist. I wish I could take her with me to every city I live in! Prices are reasonable, service is impeccable, style, cut, and color were perfect and Kimberlee is the sweetest and most adorable person ever.

I have gotten my nails, waxing, haircut and hair products from Lux Salon for over 8 years. Erin is the owner and is personable and has created a warm and welcoming woman owner salon in a great area of Mid City called Bayou St. John. You can book online easily or call and make an appointment. They have good hours for people who work long hours and do not fit in the conventional 9-5 appointment spot. The staff is friendly and easy to talk with and there is always a sense of calmness when you enter their salon. It is a true neighborhood business where you greet others by their first names and feel as though you have known them for a long time. The location is walkable, bike friendly and easy to get there from the Canal streetcar or Esplanade bus. There is a wine and and coffee store on either side so for a special event you can have a toast while getting your nails or hair done. You won't leave there without booking your next appointment, I promise.

Lux is a fantastic salon and spa! The atmosphere is clean, cool, and relaxing without being pretentious. Abby is a stylist extraordinaire - I receive compliments on my cut and color almost every day. I can't recommend Lux enough.

It's such a pleasure to have a pedicure at Lux. You get a great pedicure by friendly, attentive professionals in a beautifully renovated salon. It's filled with locals, and you're always running into someone you know. Lux also sells great gifts from local artists, as well as hair and skin care products. If you like a salon with a neighborhood-feel, where they know you, and you're more than just the next customer waiting in line for a pedicure, Lux is the place for you. We're so fortunate to have Lux in our neighborhood!

Lux is cute, fun, and everyone there is super friendly. Remy has been doing my hair for years and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair! I'm so glad she's at Lux now, it's such a fun place to be.
