I had a wonderful experience getting my dreads started and my hair cut to its naturalness on June 8, 2016, Mrs. Jo is very knowledgable about natural hair and she is in fact a professional who loves her life and what she does for a living and she had a lot of suggestions about managing my now natural hair from being relaxed many many many years. I will be returning to her to maintain my dreads. Thank you Mrs. Jo. And One must check out the wonderful art work and the beautifully made jewelries if you are into it.

LISTEN UP!!!! If you want locks or already have locks and want them to grow then you need to go see Ms. Jo at the All Natural Hair Shop. When I started growing my locks they were stunted and would not grow pass my shoulders. After I found Ms. Jo and her magic hands not only did she make my locks grow like wildfire but she turned my locks into "bungalocks" and now they are 2/3 's the way down back almost to my butt!! This lady is literally magical when it comes to natural hair. Before I met her I had several different people try to get my hair to grow. They all FAILED miserably. I don't know what she did but my hair started growing and is healthy and shiny and I'm complemented everywhere I go and by people that I least expect it from. Like I said she has "magic hands". Since I have been going to her I have learned more about hair than I ever knew. I only let 2 people touch my head that being myself and Ms. Jo. In addition to that you could not find a person more "REAL" or personable than Ms. Jo. I see her twice a month and trust me I am always looking forward to going to get my hair done because I always have a good time when I go over there. It's the best money I spend all month. Take it from me if you want your hair to grow, go see Ms. Jo!!!!

I was excited based on the reviews here, but I have to say that I'm not impressed with her professionalism. I called to see what haircut services she offers and to schedule an appointment. I started off by saying that I have natural hair and needed a trim. Aside from her loud talking on the phone (don't think she knew her own volume) and her rude tone towards me, it took her several attempts to understand what I wanted because she kept asking "What kind of hair do you have?.... What kind of natural?... Are you natural natural? etc." In the middle of this quick 3-min. call, she started laughing at what sounded like the tv blaring in the background and then yelling at someone else in her shop. It finally took me saying "afro" for her to get what I meant. She then made some bitter remark about how other people don't know what natural means and that she was just checking. Needless to say, if she doesn't seem to value my knowledge of what I want for my hair or my time when I'm on the phone, she won't value them if I'm in her chair. I'm sure she knows her stuff, I'm just not willing to take the chance with my hair. Won't be coming here.

My LOCs were birthed at All Natural Hair. I am and have been a loyal customer since October 2004. Sista Joe has been and is a professional and knowledgeable loctician. She's always dependable. And, honors her own Shop hours. There have been times when she's stayed in the shop for long hours. I know. All her customers leave the shop looking like stars. I haven't been to any other shops, xcept for that time during Katrina. I always get compliments on my LOCs. Thank you Sista Joe.
