**update** Lisa Marie is STILL the best, and has moved on to Paper Salon in Minneapolis, and I shall be following her expertise there! I trust Lisa Marie implicitly with my hair. My balayage is perfect each and every time - amazing blend, balance, tone, plus it grows out so naturally. She always listens to what I want, even when what I say sometimes is "i want food colors, like caramel, and honey!!"and does her best professional interpretation of that. My hair is never fried, and she actually cuts what she says she's going to cut. Sending everyone I know to Lisa Marie, and you should see her too!! (Now at Paper Salon)

Due to an illness, I wasn't able to see my regular stylist last night so I started calling other places and was lucky enough to get in with Lisa Marie tonight. My hair is fine, thin and somewhat damaged. I was feeling a little down, but her very kind demeanor changed all that. She did an amazing job and now my hair looks fuller, healthier and I couldn't be more thrilled with the blonde color. I don't know how she did it, but I feel very grateful for the miracle she performed on my hair and for her very compassionate attitude towards me. Thank you, Lisa Marie and I can't wait to see what you do with the cut next week!! :)

I had nothing but a great experience at The Hair District! Leah Greer was my stylist, and she was amazing, super sweet and resourceful! I got a vintage hair updo for a friend's wedding, and before Leah got into her work, she made recommendations based on the weather, indoor or outdoor setting and, of course, the outfit. I danced all night, and my hair did not move a bit! Most importantly, she ensured my hair was secured and not in pain by pins poking my head. I’m from NJ, but I would love to go back to the saloon when I’m visiting Minneapolis again! Thank you, Leah, for giving me the best experience!

I had a massage from Caroline and it was one of the best I've ever had. She has magic hands! The salon is very lovely and calming. They are running a special for 60 minutes for $65 for first time clients. Highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

Lisa Marie is a master stylist and colorist- and specializes in making sure her clients feel beautiful when they leave her chair! She did a beautiful blonde balayage on my hair and I absolutely love how my hair looks and how I feel with the new style. Not only is her work stunning- but she is a true joy to talk to and be with during the entirety of your service. Highly recommend getting into Lisa Marie’s chair as soon as you can- you won’t regret it!

Renae did my hair for a rehearsal dinner and wedding reception in under an hour each session (go with dirty hair it’ll hold longer)! She improved on photos I brought and was so fun to spend time with. I wish Minneapolis were a little closer; having her do my hair would be worth a couple hours drive.

I’ve been going to this salon now for over 3 years & I always come out loving my new haircut! My stylist, Leah Greer is an absolute gem. She is so friendly & sweet. Her attention to detail is fabulous & she’s quite the conversationalist! Leah makes me feel comfortable & always seems to achieve the look I’m going for, which can be tough given my curly locks. The salon itself has really taken the extra care, time, and steps to make this a safe experience and environment for Covid times. Upon entering, all patrons & staff must be wearing masks, sign a waiver & have their temperature checked. They are only booking at 50% capacity so it’s nice to be spread out. There are also dividers at the hair washing station, where the chairs are wiped down & sanitized after ever customer. I was really impressed with all the precautions they are taking. Not to mention, they have remodeled the inside making it look and feel very fancy/chic. As someone who makes minimal trips out, the Uptown Hair District is doing it right! In fact, their best feature may just be the free underground heated parking garage! Which we all know, during winter is a huge bonus! Don’t hesitate, check this place out if you are due for haircut!

She uses the best products, is always up on the latest in techniques, creates an amazing relaxing and magical experience and has kept my skin looking 10-15 years younger! Sara Albert-Greene is a phenomenal colorist and cut stylist. I love, love my hair everytime she touches it. Compliments galore from my friends and coworkers. She makes me look and feel younger! Squeeze onto her schedule if you can. She's so worth it!

I love coming here. I am sure all the hairstylists are wonderful, but I personally see Leah and she does wonders to my hair. It goes beyond just the cut. If I tell her about a hair care problem I'm having, she gives me recommendations to help resolve it. She's so helpful when I know I want it short, but not so short where I can't put it up or do other styles besides down. I definitely recommend her, and the place in general, since all the staff is so nice, and based on what I've seen also do amzing work with hair.

Curtis is the most famous hair stylist that I know in Minnesota, this guy did work with a lot of celebrity. Always did an incredible job on my hair for the last 22 years. I never showed him a picture of what I wanted (and have been dreaming of for quite a while) he walked me through getting the perfect combo... he then became a scientist and NAILED IT!! I just moved to the area and was searching for a stylist I could trust and a stylist who knows what they are doing and I found Curtis! Awesome salon. Glad I found a home for my hair needs. Call him ahead of time because he is booked a month ahead. Great man

Leah Greer has been doing my hair for over 8 years and those years are comprised of a wide variety of hair styles and lengths; tends to be longer for when I grow a beard and shorted for when I only have the goatee. She gives her honest opinion if I have a couple of things I've thought of trying and she even suggests things when she feels like trying something new with my hair. She's also given advice with trimming my beard and keeping clean edges. I've heard from other hair stylists, unsolicited, that Leah has done a fantastic job. I have always left The Uptown Hair District feeling confident in the way my hair looks. I highly recommend Leah Greer

She is so knowledgeable and was very honest with me on what I wanted/didn't want. I will definately be going back to her.

Wow!! If you want to feel safe and comfortable getting a service in these weird times, this is the place! Hair District Uptown has gone above and beyond to ensure a safe yet relaxing experience. Stylists are all spaced out, masks worn at all times by guests and all employees, hand sanitizer as soon as you walk in the door, partitions between dryers and sinks, only 2-3 ppl allowed to wait in the lobby at a time. All of this amazing preparation and care does not take away from a pleasant and relaxing experience. Thank you!

Men if you are looking for a great hairstyle you need to make an appointment with Angela K at the Uptown Hair District. She has always done a phenomenal job on my hair and even cleans up my brows too. If it's an esthetician you are looking for, ask for Michelle she does a great job, almost painless :) and is such a sweetheart. Her prices are some of the best anywhere! Wonderful service all around at the District!

I've gone to Uptown Hair District's Karen G. and Niki H. at several locations for over 20 years--long before they came to Uptown Hair District. Both are fantastic people, total professionals and great at what they do. The salon has a positive urban vibe and a pleasant atmosphere. While I can't attest to the caliber of the work of the other professionals on site, I have noted that many of the staff have remained intact through the months and years. I recommend Karen and Niki, and encourage you to check out the place for yourself.

Heather has been coloring and highlighting my hair for over 10 years. I followed her to The Uptown Hair District from a salon that is much closer to my house. I have long hair that is very fragile. She adds tint and highlights perfectly and my hair is always very healthy! She knows hair very well! I will follow her wherever she goes as long as she stays in the Twin Cities area.

a lot of great specialists here. I recommend Louis for any hair needs. Though, I don’t get my nails done here. its around $30 and ive had people who arent the best do it. I would go just for hair needs

How lucky the Hair District is to have added Christina Selmer to their staff! She is now at there Burnsville location. I have been going to Christina for my hair care needs for 12 years. I was lucky enough to get an appt with her at that time when my regular hair dresser was not available. I never went back. She listens to me and gives me exactly what I want. She not only does great hair cuts, but gives you amazing color and styles. I sometimes bring in photos of styles to copy. She is able to copy them exactly. I always leave feeling like a rock star!
