Salon Rouge is the best! My amazing stylist, Sadie, and the rest of the staff are warm, welcoming, and so cool. I'm always greeted by little Birdie (the most adorable chihuahua) and offered something to drink and a place to hang my coat, etc. The atmosphere is stylish, chic, charming, and comfortable. It's like going over to a friend's house. The stylists are amazing at what they do. I am always very happy when I leave and always excited to show off my new hair. This is the only salon I will go to as long as I live in the twin cities. They always have those lifesaver mints for when you leave too-yum! I absolutely love this place and everyone here.

Just had my hair done by Matthew and it’s gorgeous!! I’m so thankful I trusted the reviews and took a leap of faith on a Groupon. I’ve been trying to find someone I really like for my hair for ages and I’ll definitely be back. The salon is also really fun/cute, all of the employees were friendly and wearing masks. It felt really clean and safe in this crazy COVID world. Highly recommend Salon Rouge and from what I saw you can’t go wrong with any stylists but big shout out to Matt!

Always a great experience. Friendly staff, beautiful setting, quick appointment scheduling, and reasonable prices, all for a great haircut from experienced hairdressers. They have products for sale and will make recommendations if asked or tell you what they use but you never feel like they are pushing a product. I highly recommend this location.

I had such a great haircut and partial foil! Matthew was my stylist—he was so great at understanding my desired look and really took the time to hear what i was going for. The space is very cozy, intimate and welcoming. I definitely Recommend Salon Rouge and especially Matthew!!

I cannot remember the stylists name but she was lovely. They fit me in for a cut & blow dry last minute and she did a great job. I will be going back and I would 100% recommend!

I used a Groupon to try the place out and I wasn't the least bit disappointed! I had Sadie who gave me a trim and a red baylage. She really listened to what I was asking for and I could tell she tried hard to achieve it! The semi permanent didn't stay very well, but on very short notice she got me in to fix it for FREE right before Christmas no less! Super happy I went to her! If only she was a little closer :( if you're downtown definitely go to Sadie!!

I just used a Groupon to have my hair cut and foiled at Salon Rouge. My stylist was Jean. She was excellent! She understood what I wanted and was able to style my fine hair very well. She explained what type of cut worked best with my hair. Although it was not what I initially wanted, it was what I needed. The coloring was very well done, too. Jean was friendly, polite, and very professional. I now have found a stylist who meets my needs and I will be back!

Jeffrey is pleasant and helpful in scheduling. He always warmly greets clientele. I have never had better color in my hair--the product and care are both outstanding. I went to Aveda salons before, and will never go back. Richard and Alecia are the attentive, mind-reading stylists. Great ambiance, fantastic personnel and results that always bring compliments. What more could you want?

I love how Sadie cuts my hair! No one cuts layers, bangs, and fringe like she does. Seriously, I feel so fancy after she gets done with my hair...this time I had to go buy lipstick I felt so good!

I found her to be warm, personable, attentive and highly skilled in hair coloring. Also, I thought the salon itself was beautiful and a very enjoyable place to hang in while getting beautified. :)

I've disliked my hair my whole life--it's fine, limp, kindof mousy. I thought I needed a blunt cut to increase the volume and that bangs were out because my hair was too thin. But Richard totally transformed the way my hair looks. It's layered with bangs and I don't need to do anything with it if I don't want to. And Richard and Jeffrey are two of nicest people I know. And the shop itself is a bit over the top with this amazing diorama that's different every time I go in. And then there's the new dog... it's not the cheapest place in town but I don't think I've ever had better value. The products are really worth it too--these guys know what's good.

My first time going here and I loved it. Normally I go to Ulta and that’s out and this is my new place. Customer service is good, everyone’s friendly, Matthew does an awesome job at doing hair. It’s clean and very beautiful. I love the old look to places and this one has it.

I have obnoxiously thick hair. My #stylist gave me a great #cut & #advice/#recommendations. Kind of hidden in downtown #MPLS (look for the awning), but they use/carry excellent hair #products. I highly recommend trying them out!

Nice decor. Located in a basement level but feels like you could be in a garden. High quality fixtures and appliances. Cute little puppy hangs out here.
