Gold is the perfect word to describe this salon. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Sarah for a while now and she nails every single style from the classics to the adventurous! She’s also very transgender friendly and was nice enough to teach me how to shave my new facial hair. Whatever you walk into this salon for, prepare to walk out feeling like gold.

Angi is the best hairstylist I’ve ever been to! She was recommended to me from many folks, and I recommend her to anyone I can. She gives me exactly the cut and style I am looking for, no matter what my mood is, and she offers excellent hair advice and conversation.

I have curly hair and cannot express enough how difficult it is to find a stylist who cuts curly hair well--Sarah is the best cut i've had since i was in my 20s and at that time found a very expensive pro (who eventually retired). Sarah is equal to or better! I had been trying to grow my curly hair long for several years, after it was fried and broken off by overdone and bad foiling. I found Sarah who "righted the ship" and is the MASTER. My hair is the longest it's been I think ever in my life, at a time when (at 52 yrs old) people love to say it may never grow long again. I bounced from stylist to stylist for a few years, never getting my hair to even touch my shoulders. Now it's nearly past the blades. :) I can't recommend Saran and Salon Gold enough, she's my hair GURU!

Sarah is awesome! I came in with a few pics and she helped analyze the haircuts and what would be the best fit for me and my lifestyle. I have gotten a million compliments and I love it too! It’s fun and flirty, and looks good the moment I wake up! What, what? Talk about low maintenance! Beyond the haircut, the atmosphere is super comfortable, and Sarah is hilarious and super fun to talk to.

Sarah is a fantastic stylist. I was a little late cause I couldn't find the salon but they were super understanding. They are funny and talkative in a way that makes you feel like you've been buddies for a while. I'm writing this review because I happened to notice that a lot of my coworkers and friends have commented on how much they like my haircut. This wasn't the case when I went to typical chain haircutting places. My hairstyle is nothing too fancy, a men's haircut, but Sarah's attention to detail is what really makes a difference. She just knows how to make you look good.

Great, safe space and even better stylist! I've been to see Sarah twice- both times have been since salons reopened after closing for covid. Her salon is clean and she takes many precautions to make sure everyone is safe. The building is really cool and has been quiet both times I've visited. I love having freshly colored and cut hair but I hate sitting there for 2+ hours to do it! Sarah makes the time fly- she is so personable. She is also a great listener and makes sure she understands what you want for your hair. I've gotten exactly what I wanted both times! Highly recommend!

Salon Gold has been my preferred salon for years. Sarah’s expertise and care is a cut above the rest (pardon the pun), AND her pandemic response and procedures are better than any business I’ve frequented. Her location feels safe (underground with great ventilation and 1:1 service), and her hours are flexible. I’ve visited salons with more stylists, but this level of service and personalization is rare and greatly appreciated. Boom early, book often and keep this local gem the fixture of the neighborhood!

I found Sara/salon gold when I first moved to the city in 2018 and I’m so glad I did, in other cities I’ve had to bounce around until I finally found someone that’s just good enough, but right off the bat she totally got what I was wanting, she understands when I’m in my ‘I need to do something different’ phase or just keeps my haircut in check. She got me loving bangs again! Need I say more?? Highly recommend her!

Salon Gold is a fantastic spot in a great location in NE Minneapolis. Sarah is my stylist and I've been seeing her for going on 6 years. She is kind, intelligent, and super creative. I see her every 4 weeks and let her do whatever she wants with my hair, and it's always a win. The salon has a comfortable atmosphere, coffee and drinks, and it's always fun to stop at R. Taco or Brasa after to make a day of it.
