OMG KAAAAIT!!!! Genius. As a natural blonde, my hair has darkened over the years to a drab color. Kait lightened up my color by hand painting baylage-style (my first time ever dyeing my hair, she knew I was nervous and took the best care of me through the process!) and I feel instantly 10 years younger! Give the woman a raise, damnit! :)

***Update to original post: While I still had a good experience while actually at this salon, I was so disappointed with how my nails held up that I do feel I need to share my experience. My nails were great the first day, absolutely beautiful, but after I showered the following night, all of the white on my nails yellowed. I didn’t use any harsh chemicals or hair coloring or anything besides basic soap and shampoo that should have caused yellowing. I’ve had white gel nails many times and have never once seen them yellow. They usually hold up perfectly for nearly two weeks. During my appointment, the UV light was not staying on well between coats, and I do wonder if improper setting between coats was part of the issue. I left for vacation in Florida two days after getting my nails done, and by the time I arrived there, my nails were all discolored, cracking, yellowed and the paint on my thumb had peeled fully off. All I had done is sit in the car and drive…. It was quite disappointing having such disastrous looking nails all of vacation when that was the only reason I had gotten them done. So while I still feel that Aya did a beautiful job painting them, obviously something about the product or process failed horribly here. Original review (5 stars): Just got a gel mani pedi from Aya and I’m in love with it. So beautiful! Would highly recommend.

Olivia was not only a sweetheart, but she gave me the best haircut and color I've had in years, if not ever. My hair hasn't looked or felt so good since I can remember. And it smells SO GOOD! Let me start by saying the people were super nice. Unfortunately, the cut and balayage were both…off. Maybe they had a bad day. For the cut, I wanted choppy layers, but it ended up looking like a bob on top of long hair. As for the balayage, my hair was over-bleached and the pattern looked unnatural. Instead of a gradual, sectioned look, it was like full foils with a clear demarcated line about 2 inches from my scalp. Like old school highlights that were growing out. I know my hair is thick so she tried a new technique, but…yikes. I went elsewhere to get it fixed. Kind of sucks because I had long dark virgin hair that I hadn’t dyed in 15 years. In response to the owner: this account is my nickname - I came in on Feb 2, 2022. I did ask a few weeks later to get the color fixed but was told I’d have to pay full price again. At this point (October 2022) I’m letting the dye grow out, and have had multiple haircuts to remove the overbleached ends.

Let me just start off by saying Jenny was AMAZING! I felt very comfortable with her and had a great conversation while getting my hair done. I walked in not exactly sure what I wanted but Jenny took the time to explain the process and make sure my opinion was included. She fixed my hair until it was perfect. It turn out beautiful and better than I expected. I will definitely come back for a touch up or haircut. The vibe there was really relaxing, clean and comfortable! All of the staff was super friendly with every customer. Overall I really recommend this place, I am a satisfied customer.

I have enjoyed two thoughtful haircuts here by Jessica Skilar, the owner. I enjoyed the total experience. I felt welcome and at home in the space and with the staff. Jessica really listened to my needs and wants for my hair (low maintenance, work with the body of my hair) and she created empowering looks for me both times. I like that they use Intelligent Nutrients products and value eco-friendly practices and supporting local artisans. They have beautiful jewelry and art for sale, i case you ever want to pop-in for a gift. I also like that they contribute to building community by hosting events like gallery openings. I always had a beverage and a nice conversation going, and I never felt pressure into buying anything. The online scheduling system is great and has text reminders.

OMG I love this place! Sam was amazing to work with, I came in hot having any idea how I wanted to color my hair aside from some general suggestions of what I liked. After a quick consult with Jessica, (who didn’t perform any services on my hair but was wonderful!) we were off to the races. My hair turned out BEAUTIFUL! Sam recommended products based on what would meet my needs as well that I look forward to using (house made dry shampoo?? Hello!)! I will gladly be going back soon!!

My wife loves this place for color and cuts. The kiddos got great cuts here as well. I tried it out as it is closer than my normal stylist. I was disappointed that I was given a learning cut without my knowledge. I was not satisfied as I got home so I called and they got me in right away with another more seasoned stylist. I will be going back to my old stylist since she has been cutting my hair for the last decade, but my wife and kids will continue to be patrons.

MN NAF is a place that is obviously well cared for in every detail. I've been getting cut and color for years from Jessica and I totally trust her skill and understanding of what I want. She will give you a cut that works with your hair. Her covid precautions are exemplary. Masks and sanitizing have been routine since the start of this pandemic. Clients and stylists are required to be vaccinated. I saw Sam, a level 1 stylist on my last visit. My hair color is beautiful and Jessica was nearby to offer tips. At one point, I had considered going to a salon near my work in Eagan because I was short on cash. What was I thinking? For the same price, I had professional service with the added bonus of spending couple of hours in a relaxing environment. Sam is super nice and her work is quality. I could have fallen asleep while she was putting foils in my hair.

Tallulah was awesome! I hadn't gotten my hair cut in 7 years. I had an idea of what I wanted, but it was pretty vague. Tallulah listened, gave suggestions and explained what she was thinking in a way I could understand. I love how my hair turned out! Now I know what I want! She was so cool! No judgment about how long and nasty my hair had gotten. She also gave me suggestions about how to better maintain my long hair moving forward, and what works best for donating it. I will definitely be going back to see Tallulah again. Everyone there was so nice, and the place is incredibly clean!

Literally THE best salon experience I have ever had. They were so incredibly kind and I got exactly what I wanted done. It even resembles the reference photo to a T. I had an appointment with Tallulah, and she is seriously the greatest stylist I've ever seen in my whole life. I drove 45 minutes with my husband to come to this Salon. They require proof of vaccine and a mask. This was very important to me. So, we drove here. Soooooooooooo worth it. The energy in the Salon was very casual & laid back. You feel right at home. I met all of the staff. They all work together and have each other’s backs. I love it. Very friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming. I had some yummy tea. My husband got his hair cut by Tallulah who did a really great job. Usually his hair doesn’t look this good after a salon visit. He will be going back. I saw Sam. Sam was very friendly, polite, fun, funny, smart, easy to talk too, kind & professional. A really good person. Really good at doing hair. She took the time to figure out what color I wanted in my hair. I had my roots touched up. She spent the entire time making sure I was taken care of and happy. She was so fun to talk too. She told me she loves to wax - she did a great job on my eyebrows. My hair turned out really REALLY good and so pretty. The perfect shade to match. I am very very happy & I will be back in 4 weeks for another retouch! Also, I bought some reasonably priced product. Very knowledgeable on how to help my dry hair.

I've been visiting this salon quite frequently and it's quickly become one of my favorites. I thought I was pretty good at taking care of my afro until one of the stylists Violet showed me how wrong I was after one of my first appointments with her. She showed me some awesome hair products which If violet never showed I would have never knew existed for my kind of hair. I'm rather introverted and quite picky about who I let braid my hair but Violet always does my hair the way I like it and even puts up with my sassy comments. There are many great stylists here as well but I usually always book with Violet because like I said I’m picky and she always does the job I like (:

I have been box dying my hair for 7+ years, I was worried my hair wouldn’t be salvageable. Sam lifted, put lowlights in and finished off with a hair cut that I was super nervous about but she was able restore my hair and make it healthy again while making it look amazing. Jessica gives excellent judgement free service. Typically anyone who does hair, even when they are being nice, also can’t comprehend my lifestyle and try to nudge me to change. Or I can feel them cringe when I put on a bike helmet over all their work. I bike commute year round, I am a coach and personal trainer, my hair works around that lifestyle, not the other way around. Jessica has been providing me with excellent hair cuts for two years (since I cut off 12” and then grew it back out) always being super considerate of my lifestyle. Which means better cuts that look great without styling.

MN NAF rules. The salon itself is cool, and the folks there seem really nice. They’re doing everything way right in terms of COVID-19 precautions. They took my temp, had me sanitize my mitts, and even offered me a disposable mask to prevent mine from turning into a hair ball. I was very comfortable. Violet scrubbed up the mop on my head and gave me a really sharp hair cut. She also used a couple of Cult & King products on my hair that I ended up buying because they felt so great. The Cult & King Tonik rips. Plus, cults are just kinda rad, and being a king seems pretty tight. Anyway, I’m really glad this was where I landed for my first professional haircut since the olden times. Not having to bust out the hedge trimmer and a mixing bowl for another dystopian haircut made this trip to the outworld worth every last penny. According to my aunts, and the lady I always see at ALDI, I look V E R Y handsome. So... Thanks, Violet!
