I saw a few reviews that they did wonders for cuts for curly hair. I walked in not knowing what I wanted to do, but my hair was long and hadn't been cut well in a long time. I just wanted something manageable that I could wash, air dry and go without much fuss. She immediately knew my hair, and what was needed, and then blew me away! Also gave me a great product to keep it looking like I just left the salon. I will definitely be going back and letting others know!

Great hair stylists. Took us last min and did a wonderful job on my son and nephew. Super helpful lady gave me advice on doing my other nephews hair myself thus saving me money. I loved that she didn't try to sell me something I could do myself. Not many honest business people out there any more. Their website had a different price than in shop but they honored the cheaper price which I appreciated very much. Glad I finally checked them out after driving by for so many years. Definitely will go back.

I've been going to Hilda's for 15 years. Every time I'm in, they ask about my kids (the ones that used to hang out in carseats while I got my haircut), and our lives. Every time, I get to hear about some amazing part of their story. Good stuff, plus my hair looks great!

Hilda is amazing! When you tell her what you're looking for, she nods and immediately says "Got it!" and then proceeds to give you what you want and then some -- and extremely quickly. (For me, this was face-framing blended layers on curly/wavy hair while keeping the length.) All while engaging in enthusiastic conversation the whole time. And her prices are stunningly affordable. Absolutely wonderrful experience!

Speedy yet deliberate service. I never know how to say what I want going to get a cut. I also wait 4-6 months between cuts, which speaks to my laziness. Hilda pulls out some pics of styles I'm after, able to recall what I had the last time I came in back in early summer. It was early morning and my head was swirling with private thoughts, so I was glad that my voluntary silence didn't prompt conversation. Though I know Hilda to be a strong conversationalist when prompted, which is worth stating. A clean cut in under half an hour- can't beat Hilda's for her competence, speed, and convenience.

No need to look elsewhere Hildas is amazing!!! She color corrected my hair, has helped me understand what kind of curly hair I have and how to take care of it, always lovely conversations about everything and anything. Knows how to cut my hair for my type and average $35. The experience, the cut, and quality is well worth it! Oh and the balayage she did for me, FANTASTIC!!! Support small business and your community! Can you find cheaper places, absolutely but I've learned the hard way they will not do your hair justice. Hildas is the way to go! 10/10 will go again for my next trim.

Made sure she knew what I wanted. I wanted an extreme change and she was ready to do it (not all stylists in my experience are). The haircut was beautifully executed. The look I wanted. Covid safety measures helped me feel very safe. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

I've been to a few places around town but won't go anywhere else now. When I decided to chop all my hair off, I was going to Fantastic Sam's because of how cheap it was because how hard could it be to trim a pixie cut, right? Apparently it's not as easy as I thought. I went to Hilda's for the first time because it was extremely close, has great hours, great reviews, and was almost the same price as Fantastic Sam's... Oh and I need someone to fix the mess. Hilda asked what I was looking for and actually listened, didn't even have to show her a picture she knew what I was going for. She works quickly but not sloppily, I've only been there a couple of times but have been super happy with the cut each time and will continue to come in until one of us moves!

The. Best. Haircut. Ever! I have very fine, very thin hair. I've been to some very posh salons seeking help to no avail. Without an appointment I walked right into this adorable hair salon (not posh, not pretentious) and without all the potions, fluff and fuss, Mai instantly knew how to cut and style my hair very simply for the results I've always been seeking. Wow! Without all the product upsell of the usual salon experience, Mai showed me how to style and care for my hair using everyday products and easy techniques. This is by far the best help I've gotten for my hair styling issues and for the time and money saved going to Hilda's Hair Hut it seemed fitting to tip the difference I didn't spend at a silly posh salon. Great haircut! I was surprised at the end when I was charged more than her quote . I don't feel the extra 10 was worth the wash .I have short hair .She did a good job and will return without the wash. It's not about the money just don't like surprises .

Very sweet employees and the other customers are happy to have a chat with you. They have dogs sometimes too which I love (they are secure and not within the store but you can see them in the backyard). A lady next to me was getting a perm and the hairdresser was very kind when I asked a few questions about how perms work. Very great place and great people.

Hilda is great. I ask for a buzz and she says "do you know what we call a buzz?" When I say yes she tells me she'll go short and see what I think. Every time I say that's a nice cut! Can I get a buzz? And she says OK in that way that person does when they think you'll regret it. I never do.
