I had a decent experience overall. Unfortunately, my balayage was not uniform (i.e. half of my hair is much brighter and blonder than the other half), and I received an uneven haircut. For the price, I am somewhat disappointed with my hair.

Easily one of the best salons in Minneapolis. 4 AWARD WINNING national artists for L'Anza work here with one being the global creative director. The hair culture here is DEEP!! Whether it's an A-line bob, future primitave, vivid color, or avant garde... They can deliver.

I have been coming to Evolution for several years now and seeing Alex for my hair cuts and colors is the absolute best! Alex does a fantastic job. I am in love with my hair every time I leave and the cut+color are so good they require less personal maintenance which I love!! I once tried a different salon closer to my home and could definitely tell a difference in the quality of work. Also, you will just love working with Alex. He is fun, kind and so personable. He listens to what you want and is such a hair pro that you will feel phenomenal when you leave. I would recommend Alex to anyone, go see him at Evolution!

I had the best experience getting my hair done a few days ago! I had my hair colored by Julia and she was amazing! I recently had gone somewhere else and was unhappy with the result, she was recommended to me, and she gave me exactly what I wanted! The atmosphere in this salon is very modern and perfect for the younger, laid back crowd. The staff were all so kind, and fun to be around!

She is very well educated and listens to what you're looking for and makes suggestions of which are amazing. She completely transformed my hair in the most amazing way. If you're new to the area or simply looking for a new salon, Evolution is your place. Margo comes highly recommended!

Great stylists, front desk staff and haircuts! However, they don't tell you when they raise your prices and do so by 30% after your first year. Something to keep in mind if you're looking to find a place to stay with. You can always change to a cheaper stylists at Evolution though or a different salon.

I had the most amazing experience at Evolution. I am very new to the Minneapolis area and was in need/search of a new hair stylists. After lots of research and review reading I chose to go to Evolution, and I am so happy I did. Mike did my hair and it is the best haircut I have ever gotten! Not only did he welcome me so warmly, but he listened to exactly what I had in mind for my hair and then gave his own professional advice on what we could do to my hair to get the most out of it. I've never had a stylist give such good recommendations while staying true to what I wanted. This coming from a person who has had over 10 hair stylists, Evolution will be my permanent hair salon.

Elegant, luxurious, and welcoming salon with great energy and modern decor! Great natural lighting as well. There are many talented, trendy stylists (especially Hayley!) who are kind and fun. The office manager, Bre, is so wonderful at making people feel comfortable and appreciated. Love this place!

Julia cut my hair. Like.. all of them. I don't think she missed a single one. A+ job. Also. Easy to talk to. If you usually don't like talking to hair stylists, she's your gal. Made me feel at ease. 10/10 would get my hairs did again.

I have lived in MN for 7 years, and have changed hairdressers/colorists at least 10 times because of inconsistent, bland, or blasé service. I know there is a lot of hair talent in Minnesota, but I didn't see it or experience until I was recommended to visit Evolution and specifically to see Catlin. WOW! I have been getting my hair done at Evolution now for the past 4-5 months and I haven't been happier with my hair in, like, ever! The salon has a gorgeous atmosphere. The products are top-notch. And while I've only seen Catlin for my hair, I can tell that everyone who works there is a very accomplished and talented stylist/colorist. At any given time, the salon is always comfortably full, and everyone is always looking fabulous when they leave from their service. While it is a little more expensive than some of the salons I've been to, it is well worth the extra expense.

Michael has been my stylist for over 10 years. While I no longer live in Minneapolis, he is my go-to for special occasions and a treat when I am in town. After living in multiple cities, he is by far the best stylist I've met. The price you pay for your service is a steal for the high caliber talent, spectacular service and chic ambiance of Evolution. No where else can you find stylists fully committed to their craft that will make you look and feel absolutely gorgeous. I am envious of all those who have access to this unicorn salon on a regular basis. Best.Salon.Ever.

Catlin has been my stylist for years. I live in Ohio now and plan my schedule to be in Mpls for Catlin to give me a cut and work with my "halo extensions." Catlin was a miracle worker when I suffered extreme hair loss and again when it all started growing back. Her ability to blend a head of fine baby hairs mixed in with normal thick hair was a feat of genius. A couple times she has been booked and I was in a pinch - got a cut with Marc and he did me right, too! PS: Catlin is pronounced Cat-lin, not Kate-lynn.
