I have been seeing Colleen for about a year now for bang trim/undercut trim/long haircuts. Yesterday I got a perm done by Colleen. She is a perfectionist through and through and you see it in her end products. My hair has volume and a soft curl. It’s just what I needed to give new life to my hair. I also see Cherry for a little color on my bangs and, like Colleen, she always brings creativity and expertise. So many good things about my hair team in Colleen and Cherry. Bishops is my go-to salon!

Cherry does great work. She did two different styles for me. For each I just showed her a photo and she was able to cut my hair exactly as I hoped. The employees are very friendly and it is a positive atmosphere. I was also particularly impressed by the sidewalk conditions. Despite a winter storm a mere two days before my appointment, I was able to stroll in safely and with confidence. All of this despite wearing Crocs!

Overall my experience was pretty positive. I had my coarse dark black asian hair dyed blonde because I wanted to do something for my birthday month. Danny was great. He had over 25+ years of experience as a hair stylist. So I knew I was in great hands. He really knew how to take that dark black hair and send it over to the other side of the rainbow(turning me to blonde). I would definitely recommend Danny as well as Heidi. They are both great hair colorists. I just couldn't believe how different I looked once when I went blonde. Just the vibrancy of the hair color. I would definitely come back.

My daughter wanted new bangs and the lady that worked on it (I believe her name was Annie) really did such a great job. She was conscious of going very slow with my 12 year old and worked with all her emotions around the her new bangs. They had a lovely time and my daughter felt so respected and loved up on. I always get a great cut with Bishops. Their stylists have experience and that is what I expect not, hope to get. I don't see a big turnover in staff so I know who's cutting my hair and what to expect. Yes, I think Bishops prices are a few $$$ more but you can't glue my hair back so it's quality and experience I'm getting and I am OK with that. I highly recommend Bishops.

It was my first time visiting and I had Skyler do my hair. Skyler was so warm, welcoming, and friendly - I enjoyed talking with her and she made me feel like my comfort and confidence with my hair was her highest priority. I booked my 2nd appointment with her to do some fun color before my birthday in December. I can't wait! The place was also very clean, smelled great, and the other stylists were warm and welcoming too. Most importantly, Skyler helped guide me to understanding how best to take care of my hair! This place is amazing! Absolutely love the salon, had my first cut and color and eye wax today with Cherry and my husband was with Sky. They nailed our color spot on as a first time customer and even after meeting us and seeing our style, recommended the best stylist for who could do the best for us. Incredible honesty and customer care to do that and to top it off the salon is so welcoming snd accepting! LGBTQ+ supportive and inclusive. Felt like I had been going there forever - the staff, even people not taking care of us and other customers were just social and enjoyable. This wasn’t just a hair cut, this was a beauty experience! Absolutely will be back, immediately booked follow up appointments! Can’t wait to return! The space is beautiful, comfortable, and service is 5 stars and above!

Sky has been an absolute miracle worker for me!!! I have been to sooooo many places and different stylists and she is seriously the first one that actually LISTENED to what I wanted, and how styling/doing my hair fits in to MY routine instead of telling me to use 4 different products, train my hair, towel dry, blow dry, apply product, dry again.... blah blah blah! She has completely hit it out of the park!! I'm so happy with not only the cut but the little tips she's given me on care and styling. I used to be SOOO frustrated every morning trying to jump through all these hoops others told me to do. Now I use ONE product, takes 5 minutes max, and I'm so happy with the look, it has seriously changed my morning vibe COMPLETELY!! 10/10 could not recommend more!!

I knew I wanted to get my hair cut here when I saw the pictures on their google link. I got a super short pixie cut with a line design. I wanted someone good with clippers as I like my hair very neat/crisp looking. The lady Bailey who did my hair did a phenomenal job with my hair texture which is fine & curly. Being biracial I tend to lean toward black beauty shops just for the sake of not being disappointed with the styling technique that is used. This shop has a great atmosphere and my stylist did a great job with my curly hair, very nice smelling hair products too. Highly recommend for color and a look that stands out! All the stylists sounded knowledgeable & Very professional.

Rei has cut my hair for a bit now. When my 10-year-old son shared he wanted to dye his hair pink, I knew they'd be a great fit! They have great technical experience and his hair looks amazing. In addition, they were super supportive of his quiet nature. I don't take for granted someone who doesn't bat an eyelash at his gender non-conforming color choice, and am so glad for their presence at our neighborhood shop.

I loooooove this place!! It was my first time there and I have to say that it was very inviting to start. The most clean I’ve seen any shop, let alone a barbershop. Really cool orange vibes !! I then was greeted by Anna M who was wonderful !!! As a trans woman just starting my transition I considered this to be my first gender affirming haircut, along with my first eyebrow wax. Anna made me feel so comfortable with everything !! I expect to be gendered incorrectly or atleast judged everywhere I go. She knew immediately that I wanted a very feminine haircut and I did not feel at judged. She made sure I was safe and had no allergies to anything which made me feel very taken care of. I also thought it was really nice that the haircut prices aren’t gendered !! All around just a great experience with Anna I hope she know she made me feel so pretty that i was holding back tears !!! Would recommend bishops and Anna to all my friends and family !

I hadnʻt had a haircut in three years and was a bit apprehensive since I hadnʻt seen a hair stylist in MN yet but took a shot after seeing Skyʻs work on IG. I loved how Sky was super transparent with me and walked me through the process of my haircut. She didnʻt chop my hair off right away just in case I changed my mind. We took it slow until I found the right length for me (chest level). She then taught me how to style it and I left feeling very satisfied. Absolutely work with Sky if you get the chance to! Great place with friendly and cool stylists! Glad to have them in the neighborhood! They are much more affordable than a trendy salon, but they do so much more than your average barber shop. They can color and style your hair, and they even do brow waxing. This establishment is also very queer-friendly!

From the moment I walked up to the door, the experience was awesome!!! Some of the staff where on the front sidewalk playing a bean bag toss game and they immediately asked if we wanted to play (they didn’t even know that we were there for an appointment yet). My husband and I are a mixed race couple, which can be hard sometimes to know how people are going to be with you, however, we felt beyond welcomed!!! I found a Bishops business card (at another neighborhood store) offering a free hair cut so I decided to check it out. Wow!! Very impressive!! Ilyana was my stylist and I will say that I left with the best hair cut I’ve had in years!! She took the time to listen and she gave great advice! We also ended up buying some great products thanks to her recommendation!! I will not only be back but I can’t wait to tell people about my experience and encourage them to check Bishops out as well!

Cannot recommend Cherry's work enough. Very clean, professional, and lovely. EDIT: I had asked for a balayage color that would grow out and still look good with no work. It has now been almost a year and my hair still (and always has) looked amazing!! It faded out to a lovely golden colored highlight. It looks natural and beautiful... The more I think about it, the more in awe I am with how good Cherry was. Truly at artist at work. Tiny sections that fade out beautifully... I think I'm in love with this place :)
