Nilo does a great job. He listens so he can give you the haircut you want, and performs skillfully. He's a good conversationalist, so not only is the haircut good, but it's an enjoyable experience. It's clean and moderately priced. Nilo knows a lot about hair and will make recommendations for reseeding hair and building up texture.

The owner was super friendly. Got the haircut that I wanted. I was a bit hesitant because not every barber can handle thick Asian hair but he did very well. Bonus: You could discuss whatever with him; the dude’s pretty knowledgeable. 100% going back there.

Nilo the owner is attentive and extremely knowledgeable. He will customize your hair cut and take the extra time to finish and define it. I am a former hair stylist and haven't had a formal cut in a salon for 10 years. This guy is the real deal and does exceptional work. I have fine hair and wanted an updated pixie cut and Nilo delivered. Overall great experience :)

I've been going to Nilo for about 3 years now, he's the best! He gives great advice on what kind of cut I should get but he also is great at giving exactly what you asked for. These guys are very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and I really enjoy coming to their salon!

Neven is a great stylist, he listens to what you want and is precise and takes his time with you. I walk out of there looking and feeling like a million bucks! Neven is the only one allowed to touch my hair, he does magic with hair and is definitely worth about an hour drive to get my hair done. Everyone there is super friendly and welcoming every time I've been there over the years.

Nilo is a master at colors, cuts and style. Conversation with him always makes the time go by quickly with many laughs thrown in. I highly recommend you try Nilo. Ok, I'm partial because Nilo has done 99.9% of my hair care needs. Nevin though is just as good, just as a fun to talk to and, and this is the best part...he has the touch to work with children on the Autistic Spectrum. Well done Nevin, well done.

I have just recently become a client of Belle and I seriously couldn't be more pleased with not only her cutting skills, but also her coloring skills. My 4 year old son has seen Nevin for a haircut and he too did a great job. I'm very happy to have found this gem of a place and I enjoy now getting to the Brady street area more often.

I was debating if I should leave a review and how many stars I should put. First haircut I got here was absolutely gorgeous. Loved every single bit of it. Second time, oh well... The waay too short bangs is probably my fault, I should have been more articulate and should have insisted on showing the hairdresser the pictires I had. So ok, I am not complaining about the bangs. Unfortunately when I came home and looked at the cut I realized that one side of my head had visibly more layers than the other. That's the reason I am writing the review. I think it could be done better if I had more control over the process and insisted on showing me the back and the sides of my head once the cut was done. The hairdresser I used did not do it both the times I was to the salon. The stylist also did not offer to wash my hair both times which os kinda unusual to me. P.S: I am not calling anybody names, not disclosing the name of the stylist and not being rude. If you chose to reply (which I really dont need you too), please keep it in mind.

i walked into the salon and i was very welcomed by the staff wood floor art on the walls all different kind of art. very clean place everybody was so friendly to me and make me feel like i was the only one in there. I will be coming back to this place and my hair cut was amazing and the color so shiny and bright love it. everybody should come to this place book with Neven, Nilo, Bell

I was reluctant to pay more for a haircut than I would at one of the big chains, but I'm glad I finally took the leap. Not only does Nevin (and MKE Shears staff as a whole) do a fantastic job, he's incredibly friendly. I'm not sure I can get my hair cut anywhere else now.

Serendipitously, I started going to Nilo after an unfortunate event with one of his colleagues (prior to Nilo opening his own spot) 15+ years ago. I couldn't have been more fortunate. Granted, those 15+ years have been off and on (due to my relocation - each time I've been back, I made sure to get a fresh cut. Being back in Milwaukee, I am once again a client of Nilo's.) While his specialty is color, my (men's cuts) have been nothing short of spectacular! Nilo is accommodating, personable, understanding, able to provide a unique insight/perspective for d@mn near ANY situation, and is overall incredible at what he does. Whether you need a men, women, or anything else cut or color, GO HERE!
