very comfortable, completely cool environment. the ladies are funny and welcoming. the waiting area is unbelievably packed with everything from hair needs to housing goods. the yoga room is huge and ambient. can't wait to be a regular!

I've gone here for years. Chill, laid back salon with years of experience. Cannot say enough nice things about the staff. They are professional and take the time to get to know you. They will tell you if there is a better alternative to your idea. I would give more than five stars if I could.

I love the hair stylists at Hot Heads! I go here regularly for my hair cuts and highlights, but this specific review was for my wedding experience. I had my bridal party, makeup artist, and brunch all at this location. There was so much space for us to spread out, have a large spread of food and drinks, and room to hang out (they have a yoga space in the back). The place is beautiful! They accommodated everything I asked for! Janis is very knowledgeable and helped me with my flower crown- hot gluing it last minute, and she added extra hair styling in last minute for one in my group! Amy is my go-to. She made sure I had what I wanted and looked so beautiful. Highly recommend this place for any wedding!

Hot Heads is fantastic! Especially since they moved to their new building a few doors down. Aaron has been my stylist for several years and he has done amazing work with my hair from cuts, to coloring and highlights. I had some really bad experiences with highlights in the past and finding a stylist who listened to what I was looking for until I found Aaron. I have a lot of hair too, but he's always up for the challenge and offers suggestions for better manageability and knows what colors work best with my hair. Plus, the salon is just a really fun & happening place. It's cozier than the old place and you feel welcomed by all the stylists. You can tell they really care about each other, they care about their clients and are really a fun group to be around! Customer service is exceptional in that you feel part of the group with lots of laughing and joking to go around. I would feel comfortable going to any of the stylists if Aaron wasn't available, but Aaron knows his art and knows what I like. I've seen the result from each stylist, and they know their stuff! You can't go wrong either way. And they have stellar hair products, not just the usual cookie cutter products you see at other salons. Need a unique gift for a friend, step next-door to find some pretty eclectic items, like cigarette smoke and beer soap, handcrafted jewelry & soaps, beard butter, paint by numbers along with stylish vintage and modern clothing. Highly recommend!!

I had to find a new stylist after 15 years and I was very uncertain with how this was going to turn out especially because of my upcoming trip to Las Vegas. I went in for a highlight and cut and Aaron was my stylist. He is professional, thorough, fun and made me feel super comfortable. My hair turned out just as I wanted it and even more! The place is clean, upbeat, just an all around cool vibe. I am definitely going back to Aaron! I would recommend this Salon and Aaron to all my Family and Friends in a heartbeat!

I had to switch hair stylists 2 years ago due to the unfortunate death of my previous stylist. And Aaron at Hot Headz, was right there where I needed him to be during the transition. He's so personable, caring, and absolutely tuned into my needs. We immediately became instant confidants, and in the two years that I've been seeing him, I've never been disappointed in what he's offered to me. Aaron is a true super star, and I look forward to years of service from him. He not only attends to my current needs, but also provides a plethora of knowledge about the beauty world that I can take advantage of. If you wanna know what the best brand for fake lashes is, and how to use them in real life, he's your guy. Same goes for advice on nails, make up, other hair styling techniques, and the list goes on. I'm never disappointed, except when I realize that our appointment time is ending. He always, frankly, gives a sh!+ about what his client's need. I'll always be looking forward to our next styling adventure. :-)

Great salon! Super cute salon in a great part of town. I have curly thick chair and am currently growing it out from a pixie cut. Valentina always does a great job. This has been the most graceful grow out I have ever had! Everyone there is so nice and friendly. Highly recommend!

I love this place, and recommend it all the time. If you are looking for color, especially a 'color splash' with a fun accent color, I recommend Amy - I get compliments on my hair almost every day. And I get the cut I ask for, with suggestions on how to make it work better for me, instead of the cut that the stylist is used to doing (that always looks the same). The prices are better than the mall salons, and the quality is much better.

Great salon for all ages and styles. I have wanted the latest colors for my hair purple, unicorn, oil slick or peacock. They can do it all here. I love my stylist and her ability to explain what will work and what won't. I can't wait till my next transformation.

Love, love, LOVE my haircut! Came here on a total whim and I highly recommend Hot Heads! Cheaper than almost every professional salon in the area and the quality and experience are outstanding. I was in desperate need of a cut and got exactly what I was looking for. I will be back for sure - probably for some fun color and a trim. Go get your hair did here!!!

I've been a customer of Hot Heads since it opened, and have known Janis Casey personally since she worked at Cloud Nine. I have also driven back to Milwaukee, from Springfield, IL, just to get my hair cut by Janis over the last 8+ years. Here's my bottom line. Everyone is entitled to their opinion about the style, care and job someone who cuts their hair uses, that's fine. But the abrasive and verbally abusive comments by the previous reviewer are completely uncalled for. In my 20+ years of having Janis style my hair, I have only ever received 1 haircut I wasn't truly happy with. That in and of itself should tell you all you need to know. The prices, attention to detail and professionalism far outweigh the cost. Go, have your hair styled and decide for yourself!!!

I've been going to Hot Heads longer than I can remember. I've had cuts and colors, updos and highlights, you name it, with every stylist there. They keep my red tresses gorgeous and at a reasonable price. I really can't understand these other nasty reviewers, however, I do know that unhappy people are WAY more likely to complain publicly than happy people are to praise. I'd bet that for every name-caller writing negatively there are TEN of us super-satisfied Hot Heads evangelists out there being quiet.

I always get a great cut when I go to hot heads, and superb service. The interior of the salon is charming and chic. It is apparent that everyone who works there puts a lot of effort into keeping it a friendly, top notch environment while maintaining an on-point aesthetic.
