I recently made a salon change and I am so happy I did! From the start with sharing my hair as it is and my hair goals to my initial visit, Olivia was able to to get me there in 2 sessions. She's an absolute genius and an amazing colorist who truly listens!!! Alexis has the hands of an angel and gave the best haircut I have ever had in my life! I have been stopped multiple times with strangers taking pictures of my hair in the last couple of weeks. 20/10 recommend!

Wonderful morning at the spa. Enjoyed the steam shower and sauna while waiting for my massage. The locker kept my items safe while I enjoyed the amenities. The robes were so comfy & Plenty of towels available. The “waiting room” was peaceful. I did find myself at a loss about what to do with my empty water bottles (maybe a recycle box/sign/place would be helpful.). Massage was fantastic, and shower after had products I needed to renter the real world. What a treat!!

Sara is amazing with color! My hair is really difficult to get “cool” (ashy) tones to come thru but she’s somehow able to do it! If she’d be open to the idea, I think Z Salon should ask her to teach this technique to other colorists because I know I’m not the only one who’s looking for talented colorists to be able to perform this service!

I like my hair but they are very pricey. When getting hair highlights it would be nice to just relax instead of having to fold foils for the stylist. As much as we pay customers should not be asked to fold foils in my opinion.

I brought my daughter for a haircut with Mahlah, and had a wonderful experience. The salon is clean and welcoming . Appointments are easy to make, we love Aveda products and are always offered the products used during the visit for purchase, but not pressured to buy them. Mahlah is talented, friendly, and makes great suggestions. She has cut my hair as well and I felt great about my hair when I left my appointment. I’ve been a Z salon client for years, and the quality has always been consistently high.

Had an amazing spa day! So relaxing and rejuvenating. Enjoyed a facial and an awesome body scrub. The service was wonderful, and they made my first spa experience a great one! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was so peaceful and it was able to settle in really quick. The relaxation room, dry sauna, and steam room were all wonderful bonuses to the spa services. This was my first time trying out the Z spa and salon. We moved to the Louisville area about three years ago from Cincinnati Ohio and for the last three years I have continued to drive back To Cincinnati to get my haircut. With gas prices being so crazy and friends buying me a gift card I decided to try out the Z salon. From start to finish my experience was wonderful. I was immediately greeted at the front door when I arrived. The girl who checked me in was very sweet and offered me a beverage. Shay was great! The scalp massage was very relaxing. He did offer me a hand massage but I declined. My haircut looks great. My husband even noticed how good my hair looked without being prompted. When I was finished I made another appointment and an appointment for my daughter who is in town from college. This salon did not miss a beat. Everyone was extremely friendly. I will be back and can not recommend them enough.

I would give them 4.5 stars if I could do a half. They did a good job but it took much longer than I expected. I'm happy with the results and next time I will be sure to have 2.5- 3 hours for a cut and highlight.

I just started back at Z Salon. I called to talk to the colorist after my color settled over the weekend. I left a message and never received a call back. For what I spent having it colored I felt like someone could have returned my call. Lindsay did my color the first 2 times. I absolutely loved how she did my color. I was unable to book with Lindsay so I went to another colorist after being told that my hair would be the same color as when Lindsay did it, but brighter and it would become less light. Just a little disappointed. I will only book with Lindsay for my color. She is excellent and really listened to want I wanted.

The receptionist went & grabbed a stylist and she washed my hair and helped me pick out new products for my hair. She was very knowledgeable about the products and really helped me and cared. Just got my hair cut by Brandon and it was probably the best salon experience of my life (and best haircut!!). It was the first time I’d been to this salon so he started by giving me a rundown of what we would do- consultation, shampoo with hand and scalp massage (!!), then the usual haircut things. I typically feel a bit rushed and uncomfortable when stylists ask what I want because I don’t get my hair cut very often and feel like I’m just saying ignorant things. Brandon not only made me feel at ease and didn’t judge my many inches of split ends and dead stuff at all, he went out of his way to ask me questions and point out specific features of my face that I should highlight. He made me feel beautiful before he even did anything with my hair! That set the tone for what was just a wonderful experience. I didn’t know going in that hand massages were part of the deal and I made a comment to him about that probably not being his favorite part of his job (considering he went to school for hair!) and he responded that he actually really did enjoy it because he loves to take care of people. Such a genuinely sweet and kind response! The rest of the time we were either talking about our dogs, our families, or he was answering all my silly hair care questions with patience and expertise. When I paid, I was shocked at how reasonable it was so I’m actually a little nervous to post this review because I’m sure Brandon’s price will go up as he gets good feedback BUT… that’s as it should be because it really was a fantastic experience and haircut. Thank you, Brandon!

I LOVE ❤️ that feature because most salons normally will let a new stylist blow out your hair after the color and shampoo (if you are not getting a cut). With that being said, when OTHER salons do that I never ever have gotten anyone who styles my hair the way I wear. On top of that OTHER salons make you pay for the blow out / style service!!!! *** Did I mention that they don’t take tips! I was shocked!! I have never been to any salon that said to me at check out. As matter of fact some salons put pressure on clients when you check out on how much are you tipping. ****Got me a new salon and colorist after trying out several other salons in Jefferson County, Kentucky!! I have been to Z Salon & Spa twice for a massage. Both times, it was the best massage experience I ever had and I felt great for days after. The only reason I’m giving a 3 star review is because it’s very, very difficult to get an appointment for a massage. I called two weeks ago (in June) and the soonest they had was at the end of September, but they said they can put me on the wait list. I went ahead and scheduled for September and agreed to be on the wait list. I asked if the wait list was long and she said “yes, it’s very long, but we will text you with openings and you can call back if you want that spot.” Twice I got a text message with openings and both times I called back immediately and was on hold for a very long time. The recording says what your spot is in line for callers. The first time, I ended up choosing the “call back” option and I never got a call back. The second time, I stayed on hold the entire time and when they picked up, I just asked if the spots were still available because I just received a text . She said they were already taken and that the texts they send are a mass text to everyone on the wait list. I asked for the next available spot (my September spot was cancelled due to a schedule conflict) and they said I would have to wait until January, but again they would put me on the wait list. That’s five months to wait. The odds of getting in are comparable to the odds of being the winning caller on a radio contest. Very slim. I’m disappointed because they do give amazing massages. It just shouldn’t be this difficult to get in.

I saw Whitley for color and Che for cut and style. Whitley was great! I’m partially Deaf and she made sure that I could communicate with her prior to and during the color service. I’m always very, very uncomfortable in salons because everyone is talking and laughing around me and I can’t participate lol-but she put me totally at ease and was very nice. I gave her pictures of what I wanted-I wanted to go from my Virgin natural ash brown to blonde with natural highlights with some of my natural brown showing for dimension. She gave me a different picture amd said it might look closer to that and I loved it-it was very blonde and dimensional and natural looking. I agreed. Afterwards, the color just looked like my natural ash brown with some blonde-ish/grayish highlights. it honestly didn’t look like either of the pics, but I didn’t realize how different it was until I started getting comments from people about my gray hair. On my next touch up visit a few months later, I went to a different salon which is the one I usually go to and they blended the highlights in for me and added more color, along with a shadow root it looked great, much blonder and just like the picture she gave me (which is what I showed this stylist.) Maybe it just takes more than one visit, but I didn’t know that. They did originally look very streaky to the point that many people commented on it OFTEN between my appointments and I grew tired of the comments. People also kept asking me if I dyed my hair gray or got gray highlights and were surprised when I said it should be blonde. My MIL and my aunt said it looked horrible more than once, so yeah. Che-oh my gosh he was awesome!!! He knew exactly what I wanted and the cut was PERFECT. He answered all of my (probably) silly questions and made me feel comfortable. The cut and style was probably the best I’ve ever had in my life-it made me that happy. My fine hair was all the way down my back and flat and lifeless-I got a long lob and it looks so full and healthy! I have VOLUME for the first time in my life!! He did such a good job! The pricing was reasonable and I was impressed with everything for my first visit here. I felt so much better when I walked out of that salon than I did when I walked in. I actually felt happy and I haven’t in a very long time-and I want to thank both of you for that. Thank you so much!

Anastasia worked me in at the last minute after a difficult week for me. Earlier in the week My youngest daughter had been in critical care in the hospital for several days and my mother had passed away. Needless to say it was a hard moment for my family and I. My daughter was able to be released from the hospital at noon the day before my beloved mother’s funeral and I called to see if Anastasia could fit me in for a a style to have one less thing to manage. Within minutes Zsalon had worked everything out and given me two times to choose from. Anastasia was so compassionate and loving and took extra care to style my hair in such a way that she knew it would hold up beautifully for the funeral the next day. And she was right, the products she used and the amount of curl she put in worked out perfectly. I know the way our hair looks is not life and death, but in that moment it took a burden off of me so I could try to be a little more lovely in honor of my Moms life, a life well lived, and care for my recovering daughter. So thank you for caring for me, so I could care for my family. To me, you all are very very essential.

My hairstylist, Leah, was awesome , and the check out staff was great. The only negative, and reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was my arrival. Nobody had told me when I made appt by phone or when appts were confirmed via text and email, that I had to stay in car and wait to be called. This is my first hair appt but have had multiple facials before COVID. So I came in spa door and a guy ran up to me very agitated and confrontational. I told him I had a 3:15 appt with Leah and he went and checked. Seemed very upset and never apologized. I went to car and finally they called me at 3:30. When I walked in they said my appt was cancelled. Then they said ..no, it’s ok, Leah will take me. From then on all was well. But I felt like the start was anything but welcoming and I certainly didn’t feel like a pampered customer. I’m still coming back but will not if I have another “feel bad” experience.

I called very last minute to get my 78 year old mother in for a color and cut and they weren't sure if they could do either but as it turned out they were able to at least fit her in for the color. I was thrilled and they called me later that day to say they could do the cut too! On a Saturday no less! My mother has a few health issues and we travel with her breathing treatments. Hopefully they will start to offer this when people book their appointments, but if they don't make sure to ask.

The last time I was at Z Spa was in early August. I have been going to Paisley for quite some time, and in August, I received a hair cut that I am STILL in love with. My next appointment was scheduled for October, but the day of the appointment, Paisley was out sick, which -no big deal, I was totally okay with rescheduling, until I found out that appointments were booked up until after Christmas. I was told that I would be put on the "wait list" and to be considered top priority because it was not my fault that the appointment was cancelled. That was all fine. Unfortunately, I have still not received a call. I feel like trying to be fit into the schedule has always been frustrating. My haircut that I love so much is grown out, and in desperate need of a shape up. I have always loved Z, and referred people there any chance I got, but I think I have met my limit on the scheduling conflicts. I just called a different, also well regarded salon to schedule an appointment, and they were able to fit me in as early as tomorrow.

The Zspa is literally amazing with scheduling any and all appointments. Everyone complaining on here must be the type of person that throws a temper tantrum anytime everything in life does not go their exact way. I have made several day of appointments here with no issues. 10/10 recommend, all of these negative comments regarding scheduling are not the salons fault because you are not on it with following up or are not 100% committed to scheduling an appointment.

I love the hand massage but everyone I send there gets basicly the same hair style. I think they have a formulated technique perhaps? It's great for consistency or replicating something out of a magazine which is perfect for most people. It's not ideal if you need something unique or edgy though. They also have a no tipping policy if you prefer it.

Great place for guys to get their haircut too! I switched from those quick cut places about a year ago. I love the pampering I get and The stylist have great knowledge to help me figure out what cut works best for me. Well worth the little bit extra it costs.

Staff was very friendly, my color was great, BUT my reverse diagonal cut was crooked in the back and also the length in the front! For over $200! for a cut and color you'd think they could check your hair for precision. Won't be going back!

I recently had a "custom" massage. While it wasn't a bad a massage I wouldn't go back to due the price and what seemed like a lack of experience . My particular therapist seemed nervous and unsure of what I was requesting. All I wanted was a full body massage focusing on my upper back with medium pressure. What I got was a very light touch mediocre massage. Like I said it was by no means a bad massage just not worth all the pomp and circumstance that went into it for $70.
