The Edge Salon did my hair and make up for my wedding, along with 5 others. They did a great job on both hair and makeup and were fun to spend the day with. Scooter Ray (makeup artist) is a true artist and finds a way to enhance your features without being overpowering. Morgan (hair stylist) interpreted my vision for my updo perfectly but made something unique. I felt like they listened and then improved on what I wanted. They were kind, warm, and funny! The 3 stars comes in with scheduling. I was originally scheduled for 10:30 to be done by 3. They asked to move it up to 9 because they needed more time. It became clear that I was moved up because the team needed to go to a conference. As such, everyone (including myself) were done by 1 PM and they left. We were all stuck sitting trying not to mess up our hair and make-up or leave the room for 2+ hours. We didn't have lipstick for touch ups, etc. So, the fun experience ended up ending in a boring, anxiety inducing 2 hours of nothing (and the morning started quite early for no reason). Knowing how big a wedding day is, I was disappointed in the last minute change that affected the tenor and tone of the whole day. That being said, the stylist themselves were talented and great. Just be wary of scheduling issues if you are doing a wedding party.

Wonderful place. Morgan did my hair today and she was amazing! Super sweet and helped me go out of my comfort zone with curtain bangs and layers. I absolutely love it, I'm definitely coming back!

Dee is super knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. I never leave unhappy with my hair. I learn something about the products or how to better take care of my hair everytime I go see her.

I've gone to The Edge off and on since high school but I am not someone who stays on top of getting their hair cut regularly- it's actually an anxiety-provoking experience! But I went to get my hair trimmed and conditioned on Tuesday with a groupon my mom gave me and it was well worth it! Khristi did a great job trimming my super-long hair and getting a good deep conditioning in. It's still super-soft days later! She also put in a serum and recommended one so I am going to try that as well. Khristi did a fantastic job of not being scissor-happy and just taking off what needed to come off. I'm just seeing how long it can get at this point...and I really do need to stay on top of the trims. I will be going back to see Khristi on a regular basis now because she's made me feel totally comfortable in not feeling like I'm going to walk out of somewhere bald-headed someday! Lol. Not to mention The Edge is close to my house- a definite plus. Loving how healthy my hair looks and feels again.

After a slight hiccup with the appointment time, Khristie did my hair. She went over and above to make up for the earlier misunderstanding. She listened to exactly what I wanted and my hair looks PERFECT. I would highly recommend this salon.

The Edge salon has a humble fun loving environment and all the ladies there from what I have seen are all so talented! The owner is so sweet and informative! Absolutely amazing customer service! Could not have asked for a better experience! Morgan was very attentive, informative, understanding, and accommodating! After having a bad experience several years ago with having layers put in my hair, I have been petrified to try again. But, my hair being so thin, the layers give my hair a little more volume. Morgan made me feel completely comfortable and talked me through the cuts that would work, what would work best, and the options I had. She was absolutely amazing and I will definitely being going back for all my haircut needs!

Let me start by saying that I am extremely picky about who I let style and even touch my hair. Up until my wedding hair trial, I literally had only let 3 people style my hair -my mom, my stylist in Chicago, and me. And to be honest, I don't even trust myself to do much with my hair except wash it, blow dry it and straighten it. After doing tons of research and reading multiple reviews, I tried out Dee with The Edge Salon and I couldn't be happier. Within minutes of sitting in the chair for my wedding hair trial consultation, she was able to describe my hair perfectly. I'm a 3b to 4a naturally curly girl that gets a relaxer once a year. I also have a ton of hair even though it is thin. She listened to my idea and looked at some of my inspiration pictures then got to work. She was amazing! Then I was passed to Scooter for my makeup trial and he knows his stuff. I left my trial so happy and excited for my wedding day! Leading up to my wedding Dee, Scooter and the rest of the team were very accommodating with all of the last minute changes and requests. They were always professional, flexible and understanding. Hands down, some of the best customer service ever! The mothers and bridesmaids all have different skin and hair types. Dee, Scooter, and the rest of the team were able to work with all 7 of us to put out a gorgeous and amazing finished product. I could go on and on about them, their awesome work, and great personalities. I have lived in Louisville for almost 14 years and have never found a salon that I was comfortable enough to trust to do my hair or makeup. Now that I have, I will definitively be a repeat customer.
