Tommie was an absolute sweetheart and great conversationalist who provided some of the BEST service I've ever received. There is no questioning where I will be going from now on for all my hair needs. I got a split dye and cut, my hair has never felt this good and looked this fluffy IN MY LIFE. I came here to get my hair blond and it was a fantastic experience. Tommie was phenomenal, I love my new hair. I love the service. Highly recommend to anyone. Also I do have kinky hair and they had the right products and even one I hadn't heard of. He knew how to scrunch and dry my hair. Love it.

Scheduled my appointment weeks ago and there was an oops moment which ended up working for the best. Tommie ended up doing my hair and it turned out great. I have been to salons where you tell them what you want and they just go along with it and not try and talk you through how the outcome will actually be. Kim is NOT like that, if you have a thought in mind, she will let you know if it will work out and why. I have to say I am glad I listened. So I came to a final decision and the final result was better than I had ever expected These guys actually care about the peole that come in there salon, and I am glad that I chose to come back. Not to mention with the work I had done, the price was more reasonable tohan I had expected it to be. I will definitely be coming back for sure!

I have been looking for the right hair salon for about four years now and THIS is it! Erin did my hair and not only is she personable bit she is AMAZING at her job! I love the cut and color she did. I was also so happy when I told her what I wanted and she didn't try to convince me to do something else. She listened, she cut, she colored and I loved her for it! She also did for an amazing price!

Kim is wonderful, and her salon is incredibly welcoming to everyone. She and her staff are very professional and have been vigilant about wearing masks to keep clients safe, which always makes me feel comfortable during appointments. Her creativity and expertise send me out the door super satisfied with my cut every time I visit, resulting in everyone I know showering me with compliments on my look, and has prompted other family members to go to her as well. Plus, her dog is precious. Go see Kim ;)

I was in town visiting my niece who is 28. I am from Louisville many moons ago. She wanted a different look which included shaving one side of her head. I contacted a few. But Erin was the one who worked with me. I had to reschedule several times because of our schedule. When we finally made it in there Saturday it was awesome. Erin worked with my niece every step of the way. It turned out even better than we thought! Then I had an idea I wanted mine cut and styled. 🤭 Well I am 66 yrs old Erin showed me how to deal with my thick wavy hair. I am so happy with the results. We stayed until closing and I will always remember that special Saturday night in the Highlands 🥰 Thank you!

Kim is the only hair stylist in Louisville I will go to, hands down no question about it! I’ve never walked out disappointed, and she had never steered me wrong. As someone who has dyed their hair since they were 12 years old, it’s safe to say it takes a magician to make my hair continue to look amazing and healthy! Kim does just that. She keeps me realistic with what I want my hair to do (e.g. when I walk in wanting platinum blonde every time in spite of having had very red hair within the past year) and has done excellent work gradually lightening to keep my hair looking healthy and shiny. Also, she’s incredibly affordable. I highly recommend!

Kim and the stylists at Kaleidoscope Hair Salon have been an amazing staple of the Highlands. I have ALWAYS been extremely happy with every single one of my hair cuts and highlights. I've never had a complaint. Kim can even do my daughters curly hair. I don't trust any one else. And I am always greeted with a smile. My favorite salon in the State!!!!

After a few years of searching for a new regular stylist, I found Kim. I will not go to anyone else again, period. In the last few years Kim has given me lovely blue hair, purple hair, red, and blonde. She is honest about what will and won't work well for my hair type and skin tone, and that is something I really appreciate. She wants her clients to be happy. She is receptive and listens and asks questions to make sure that I'll be happy with the final product. Aside from being a wizard with hair color, she is a genuinely good person to talk to and learn from. When I get my hair colored, I enjoy the time I spend at the salon. Before going to Kim, I don't know that I would have called a 2+ hour hair appointment fun; but it is fun with Kim and her co-workers. They are all good, quality people that have fun and take pride in their work. They have created an inclusive, welcoming, and special place. I can't recommend Kim and the ladies at Kaleidoscope enough!

First review I've ever written! Never been to a better salon. Whatever you want (especially with virgin hair) they will swing for you in ONE session. When explaining that I wanted to go from my natural medium brown color to platinum blonde with Erin, she said it'll be "one and done." My hair has NEVER looked or felt better. Go and support these women! I'm never going anywhere else.

'People do business with people, not businesses', and this is why I have loved supporting Kim and her salon for many years. It's important to trust the person who is doing your hair, whether it's something dramatic and edgy, or just a vanilla 'cut and colour'. She builds a relationship with her clients, which is one of the many reasons that they keep coming back. She has always taken great care of me (even after I moved away, but flew back twice a year especially to see her), and did my hair for my wedding. This is not a pretentious salon that will intimidate you from even walking in the door, everyone is welcoming, professional, highly trained and skilled at what they do. There is absolutely no reason to go anywhere else.

Here be the home of talented stylists, that ready to fix you up as mild, wild, messy, slick, coifed, or colored as you like. It's bright, and colorful inside. A reflection of the cheery, and warm attitude held by all that work there. It's a great place for kids too!

I had an appointment with Erin. I was all over the map about what I wanted to do with my hair. she was very patient and understanding and helped me arrive at a decision. The place was very clean, they were taking covid very seriously and I felt 100% comfortable. I had extensive work done on my hair and throughout the whole thing Erin was just in the best of spirits, she very obviously loves what she does.
