Each time I've gotten my hair done here, I'm always treated with such care and professionalism. My hair always looks amazing when I leave and Nikki always makes me feel welcomed! I live almost 2 hours away but the drive is worth it with the quality and handling of my hair. My hair is very thick and can be difficult to work with at times but whenever I leave here, my hair feels so light and it leaves me more satisfied then the last visit! I definitely recommend getting your hair done here

I had a very pleasant experience. The stylist, Nylan, was punctual and friendly. The establishment was very clean and felt peaceful. Both Nylan and Nikki were very knowledgeable about what my hair needed, and gave me good advice about my postpartum shedding. I got a wash, moisture treatment, and cut (was originally supposed to be a trim but I had a lot of damage), and medium sized box braids that turned out beautifully, although I’m not a fan a baby hair (but she asked, and I feel I poorly communicated). She also did it in good timing, it took about 6 hrs from start to finish. On the other hand, the price was $300 in total. $250 for medium box braids seems a bit high to me, personally, although I like that they wash your hair because most places don’t. And $50 for the moisture treatment and trim, which I felt was reasonable because I needed it badly! Sadly, I feel like my braids won’t last very long. I got them done Monday, it’s now Friday and my natural hair is starting to show at the ends on nearly every braid. Not sure if it’s my hair texture, or the fresh cut but it’s too noticeable so I might just keep it in a ponytail until it’s time to take it down. All in all, I’d still recommend them. But probably not for box braids.

Nikki is beyond professional and accommodating. I booked a last minute appointment and had the incorrect hair, she still serviced me. I also had several on the spot styling changes and she willingly made them for me. She even squeezed me in early the next day to fix what I messed up when I went home. I can’t say enough good things about my experience and will definitely continue to get styled by Nikki.

I’m new to the Louisville area and needed a stylist proficient in doing black hair. Anyone who’s ever been in that situation knows how anxiety provoking trying out a new stylist is. I was long overdue for a cut and color because of this. I finally took the leap and decided to try Nikki Washington at DLNI, and I’m soooo glad I did! Nikki took lots of time with me to understand my concerns and desires. She also helped me choose a flattering hair color. I walked in looking like a gray poodle that desperately needed grooming and came out beautifully coiffed! Nikki is not only a talented stylist and colorist she’s extremely personable too. I felt very welcomed and safe as she takes covid precautions seriously. I’m so glad I took a chance and tried Nikki’s salon. I look forward to being her client for many years.

My hair was faded and lifeless and needed a total overhaul but initially I was just looking for a quick haircut. I was able to schedule an appointment on Thursday....for Friday...one of the fastest turnaround times from a salon I’ve ever experienced and it appeased my need for almost instant gratification haha. Ended up getting an earlier time than what I’d originally expected! I get there, and the shop is so cute and well-decorated and fun to be in. There’s music and hair videos playing and the atmosphere is warm. Nikki was going to work on my hair and I’m a nervous talker and she graciously not only endured my babbling but also provided her professionalism and knowledge to help me realize a hair goal I’ve had for a while...even though that wasn’t even what I’d initially booked! TL: DR I will be going back cause wow. If you’re looking for your go-to salon, to try somewhere new or just want a job well done, this is the salon to go to.What a gem of a business and business owner. I haven’t been to an actual salon in Louisville but I was ready for better treatment of my hair. I found Nikki and we had some hiccups with scheduling due to the COVID restrictions but she managed to work me in somehow. During my appointment, I never felt judged because of the condition of my hair. She made me feel confident and was constantly saying encouraging things. I had a drastic change that I was not even considering having done. I was the last appointment of the day. I was indecisive and asked a lot of questions. But I never felt rushed or felt as if I was getting on her nerves lol.. I told her I needed help taking care of my hair and she just kept telling me she was going to help me get to wherever I wanted with my hair goals. We talked the whole time and it was just a relaxed, yet upbeat atmosphere. I keep getting soo many compliments on my hair!! I can’t wait to see how my hair transforms. This was my first time visiting this salon. The facility was nice. Nikki was very pleasant. Melissa was very welcoming. I loved the idea of the rewards program, very creative. I've never seen that before. Loved the results of my hair also, especially the haircut. Nikki was very attentive to my needs and wants. Nikki was very kind and refunded me $5 for my wait. I REALLY appreciated that. You have no idea. Very professional of her. If I had one thing to say that's I guess is not so positive would be the music. While I love music, I kinda felt that it was a bit loud and more importantly a bit offensive at times, very sexual in nature. I know, I'm old school and the music is different nowadays. Nonetheless, I wouldn't let that stop me from visiting again. I would just bring ear plugs because I had a very pleasant experience overall.

If you want someone who KNOWS hair, loves hair, and has such a strong passion for what they do, the hair factory is where it's at!!! Nicole took my damaged, broken off, "needing a miracle" hair and did a complete 180 on my hair!! I was looking in the mirror the other day at my hair and couldn't even wrap my mind around what I was seeing. I never had anyone who cared about the growth and the health of my hair. Nicole didn't just give me another "weave" to put in or another style to cover up what was damaged but she kept it real and gave me good advice about what is needed for optimal hair growth. I've never had a stylist that I feel comfortable with and trust to just sit back and let them do my hair. She's the best hands down come to the hair factory and let Mrs. Nicole work a miracle, you won't be disappointed. No more crying/worrying about my hair, trying to cover up the damage. I cannot believe I am rocking my short hair CONFIDENTLY without relying on weaves!! Plus I love the atmosphere of the shop, the music is great and the people are such a riot!! Lots of laughs and great times! There's just so much more I can say about the DLNI hair factory, but it would take literally like 5 more paragraphs lol. Nikki did my hair and my daughter’s hair today (Aug 2019). First of all being here in in Radcliff, Kentucky it is very hard to find someone to do your hair. We got a wash, condition and flat iron and I am very impressed. My daughter does not bite her tongue with her opinions and she loved her hair. We will most definitely see Nikki again. I made an appointment online for a sew-in. The owner was able to work me into the regular schedule because you have to call to actually confirm the appointment and she tried to get me done before an event I had the next day. She explained the process and recommended a place where I can purchase hair. I left another review about the place I purchased my hair. I was really appreciative of her making an exception for me and trying to get everything done on time. The braid pattern foundation was done well. The sew-in process was done quickly. They are pretty efficient on time so you won't get double booked or expect to be in the salon all day. The cost is $250 for a sew-in which I'm sure is reasonable if you are someone that can comfortably wear this style for a couple months. Unfortunately I had my hair taken down 4 days later (after my weekend event) due to the tightness and irritation to my scalp. It pulled my hair out aroujd the edges and my entire scalp was sore a few days. So i didn't get any pictures. I probably won't ever get that style again😶 Overall I was pleased with DLNI professionalism and customer service. I would recommend this stylist.
