I went in for a men's cut and color with Brett. I've gotten so many compliments on my long hair, and absolutely LOVE what he did with it. The subtle highlights have grown out well, and he gave me some much needed tips for taking care of my long hair, how to make a solid man-bun, and what products are best to use. My favorite stylist in the world. Cobalt is taking the safety of their team and guests seriously, and the mask policy and extra safety measures were very much appreciated!

Madison is an amazing hair stylist! She went above and beyond helping me choose a hairstyle that would look good on me and spent ample time during the haircut. She even gave me tips on different ways to style my haircut. This is my new goto place for a haircut. They really make you feel like home!

I found Lisa via a referral. Actually I stocked a woman in Home Depot during early Covid lockdown. Her hair was gorgeous so I asked her who did her hair. Anyway, I had to wait a bit to get in but once I did, I never looked back. What I love about Lisa is that she is an artist. I don't tell her what to do, she just blesses me with amazing hair each and every time I see her. Never in my life have I had so many compliments on my hair; both cut and color. If you want the most amazing hair, give her a call. Likely you will have to wait a bit to get in but she is so worth the wait. I always try to have two appointments booked out because her schedule stays full. 100% the best around!

I had a 5 alarm hair emergency while traveling on business. After carefully reviewing and considering my options online, I decided to stop in at Cobalt Hair Lab. Now, I don't normally give myself such big pats on the back but my decision to go here was on point! I know NOTHING about hair. I just knew mine was a disaster and I get nervous about articulating what I want. After a thorough consultation with Rachel and Lisa, Rachel went to work on my color and cut. She is super! Once she was done, I was a little nervous with how "dark" my hair looked (I had gone from brassy summer highlights to a warmer fall tone). Lisa said "give yourself 2 days and you'll love it." It honestly took me about 3 but she was absolutely right. Amazing work and staff. If you are a beer fan like me, there is a store next door you can check out and enjoy your purchase on the adjoining patio out back while your hair processes. If I lived closer this would be my full time salon. Actually, I may have to just fly back there one of these times!

Cobalt is class. The stylists listen. They take their time to understand your needs. It isn’t just what you say either. Aubrey, the light of my life, took a lot of time in deciding how to approach my curly hair. She felt my scalp, observed how it dried, and provided a lot of insight into how to care for it. She makes every hair going experience a dream.

Best hair cut and experience I've had in Louisville! The salon is recently opened but run by true professionals and in a super chic environment. Audrey is not only super talented and attentive to your requests, but also a super cool girl to talk to as you're getting your cut. She listened to what I wanted and immediately made me feel confident I could trust her with my hair. She also gave my tips to style my hair at home (because we all know it's never the same on your own). Bonus, she gives you an actual head massage and hot towel with your cut and wash. Plenty of street parking.

My stylist is Rachel. She’s been cutting my hair for a few years and she’s a master with men’s cuts and beard trims. She knows how to cut your hair to your face and bone structure and she simply makes it look great. She’s awesome with the clippers and with scissor cuts. She’s awesome with texturizing the top as well. I actually drive from Lexington, KY to Louisville to see Rachel. I will also give a shout out to the friendly staff and owners. They are all amazing and sweet and talented. I’m just biased towards Rachel. She’s the bomb!!!

I've been seeing Lisa for years, and I plan to keep seeing her until she either a.) retires or, b.) leaves Louisville (Lisa, if you're reading this, don't do either of those things anytime soon!!!!). She is absolutely amazing - she knows her craft inside and out, and is the best at coloring/highlighting especially. I give her a general idea of what I want and then put my faith in her hands because I know from years of experience that my hair will look AMAZING at the end of my appointment. She hears me when I want to be adventurous (locks of bright pink hair from 2015-2016) and when I want the safe usual (trim and blonde highlights) and knows how to deliver what I want in a way that will look great. I was thrilled when Lisa and Steph decided to open Cobalt Hair Lab. It's such a unique, welcoming, relaxing environment and fits in perfectly with the NuLu vibe. If Lisa is booked, don't worry - she cares deeply about her salon's reputation and only hires the best, so you will be in expert hands no matter which stylist you're paired with. I'm writing this during the COVID19 healthy-at-home period, and I cannot wait until it's safe to get my hair styled again. Book your appointment with them now because I guarantee their schedule will be PACKED once restrictions are lifted.

So glad I called and booked an appointment after walking by. One of the best experiences I have ever had at a salon. Aubry took time to really understand what I wanted and made great recommendations. The products are top quality and Aubry gives the best scalp massage on the planet...and don't even get me started with the warm towels for my neck...heaven! Lisa, the owner could not be nicer. Wow, I had a great experience. I wrongly assumed this was a salon for women so I was pleasantly surprised when it was recommended that I try it out. Not only do they do hair. They educate you and when it comes to bleaching they double check to make sure if it’s really what you want, what could happen to your hair, and tell you what it would cost. They love and respect each other and their clients. They are very kind young ladies and offer water. You could most definitely tell that they are not doing it for the money they are passionate and love what they do. Most definitely coming back frequently. Worth the drive

From her ability to allow you relaxation and the techniques perfected, the entire experience is phenomenal! The salons energy, decor, and experience is what her and Stephanie believe in. Positive energy, nature, and ingredients from the Earth. Eurfora has changed my hair and the way I take care of it. The products literally begin to biodegrade if you touch fingers inside of the bottle. So, you know the essential oils and plants inside are working their real magick. Whether you see Lisa or not, the entire staff is educated by Lisa. Who, is an international trainer for trainess within Eurfora International. She teaches trainers and travels the world doing so. No one better to learn from. Our city is blessed to have her!

This place is amazing! I’ve been here a few times and I couldn’t complain if I wanted to. Madison cuts my hair, and I always love it. At other hair places I used to be soo scared to get layers or ask for bangs, bc nobody could ever get it exactly right. But Madison gets the vision everytime! I honestly don’t know much about their products, but my hair always feels super healthy and looks shiny afterwards :) for me getting my hair cut is kinda scary bc most places have a weird vibe, but def not here! Totally an underrated spot
