I can’t say enough good things about Jennie at Sinister! I can be very picky with my hair and she listens so well and does a fantastic job! She gave me the best cut I’ve had in years. She has also styled my hair (a vintage style page boy) and she is an absolute artist. 100% recommended!!!

As someone with waist length hair, I have struggled to find a hairstylist that makes me feel like they aren't going to just cut all of my hair off (it does happen, they can be chop happy!). I went for my first haircut since 2007 today, and the staff at Sinister Salon made me feel wonderful, safe and secure. The owner, Blake, truly understood how important someones long hair can be to their identity, and cut less than I went in expecting. My hair still reaches my hips, and I feel great about myself. I'm not an alternative person, so don't let their punk rock style scare you. This salon is truly like hanging out with your besties. Thank you Blake and Sinister Salon, I'm so happy.

Took my 14 yr old and after initial issue with a stylist (no longer there), the owner and master stylist Blake was quick, responsive and genuine. A true professional. He did everything he could to give my kid the best experience and color cut and style they've had in years! I also had a cut and style by another talented stylist who listened well and I'm very happy with it. My kid has problem thick, frizzy hair and Blake worked magic on it. This place is inclusive, fun and edgy. I definitely recommend it for those looking for alternative colors and styles.

I had the best experience with Riss! She has been doing my hair since we were fresh out of high school, and she completely transformed my hair 🥹 I feel like myself again, after just having my baby! Her energy is just beautiful, comforting, and confident. She actually listens to what I want and what I definitely don’t want, having curly hair, it’s traumatic getting haircuts. But she went beyond what I expected. I feel beautiful with my new hair. Her technique is customized to the head of hair she works on, and her color knowledge is just *chefs kiss* I travelled from New Mexico just for her to do my hair. I don’t care how far, I’ll travel for HER to do my hair anytime.

This salon plays great music and has lovely people. Although I don’t have “alternative hair,” I gave it a shot based on the reviews and am glad I did! I had my hair cut by the owner, Blake. I went from drab, extra long and heavy hair to a cut with some style and the oomph I needed, without losing all the length. I’m way happier with it and will be back! Reasonable prices and right next to a brewery.

The most amazing salon we have ever been to. Extremely reasonable for the services you get. And they know exactly what they’re doing. Attached are before and after photos of their work. So friendly, so nice, and very professional work. Fun atmosphere. They definitely pay attention to what your needs are and will evaluate before anything. Which any hair professional should be doing in the first place anyways. This is the only salon we will be going to and will send everyone their way.

Thank you to Ashlee Swan for doing such an amazing job on my hair! She took me from a mess of long, dark brunette roots and faded pink to a stunning array of purple, blue, and teal. She also helped clean up my mismatched undercuts, brought new life back to my bangs, and helped me find a more femme style. All the while she was friendly, funny, and welcoming. I have her in my schedule for future maintenance and stylings because I fully trust her to make this transwoman feel beautiful and divine. A special shout-out to the shop and staff as a whole for being one of the most welcoming and inclusive spaces I've experienced in Vegas.

Dee was amazing, she greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcomed. I booked my appointment online for a blow-dry, I think you call it blow out in the US - I wanted loose curls for my wedding day. I was a bit nervous at first as I didn’t want anything edgy, but Dee was very understanding and asked all the right questions. Dee also trimmed my hair really quickly for extra 10 dollars and helped to fix hair accessories for my special day. She is a true professional who clearly loves her job. Highly recommended.

I came in recently for a styling for my wedding that day, and was seen by Heidi. It only took her about 15 minutes to quickly do her magic and give me exactly what I was looking for. She was also incredibly sweet, and made the entire experience pleasant and fun. The salon itself had such a cool and laid back vibe, with original art, and the staff all have such cool and unique style. Will come here anytime I'm in the area visiting, even if I don't have an event!

My daughter and I absolutely love this salon. We have each gone only once, but we will continue to come here as the atmosphere is very comforting. My daughter has struggled with some self esteem issues lately. (She decided to go bald around Halloween lasy year and is now growing it out.) She started middle school this year so it been kinda rough. Sara was absolutely amazing! Gave her an amazing confidence boost! After leaving she kept expressing how much she loves her haircut and her stylist! Thank you again, Sara, you're amazing!

I absolutely love the environment, very comfortable and casual! I love going to Sara to get my hair done 🖤 I am a little awkward so it’s really nice that she can strike conversation so easily with me, especially if we are in each other’s company for several hours. She always goes the extra mile and explains to me what she’s doing and why, very informative and knowledgeable. She also makes sure I know how to take care of my hair when I go home. Recently I got a haircut that requires more maintenance, so I started looking for a local salon to frequent and I'm so happy I found this place. If you're looking for a bougie salon, this isn't it, but the vibes here are great for more alternative folks. Walking in, they're playing metal music and ask if my boyfriend and I want a drink. It legitimately felt like dropping in to hang out at a friend's workplace immediately and everyone made us feel welcome. My stylist was Kevin and he did a great job- I have an asymmetrical cut and he did a great job blending everything. This place is a considerable distance from my house, but I feel like the drive is worth it. The price is great, the vibes are impeccable, and the cut was great too. I think my only dislike was a personal and easily remedied one- I didn't like the product used to style my hair after the cut, but that's entirely personal preference and I'm sure it's a great product for other clients as it had a lot of hold. I'd definitely recommend this place, especially if you're doing something a little more creative with your hair. I'll definitely be back.

This is honestly one of the salons I’ve ever been to! Not only is there really cool people/personalities at this salon there is AMAZING WORK!! I’ve personally got the pleasure of being help by most of the staff here especially Sara, and I have LOVED my hair after every cut. The staff makes you feel so welcome! I have been going to this salon for months and do not plan on going to another from haircuts all the way to extensions and color has been nothing but great work! I really do recommend this salon!!

I’ve had my hair done by Zowie and Blake here and both times I not only felt like family in the establishment but I left feeling absolutely gorgeous! They paid attention to what I was seeking, made sure to do not only what I wanted but also what was best for my hair type, and were just all around awesome. I have super naturally wavy hair and most stylists blow dry and style my hair straight, which then interrupts my pattern. They didn’t! They worked WITH my wave pattern and were just incredible.

Everyone is amazing, we've been a few times and worked with multiple people. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Blake, the owner, has done an amazing job with the decor of the salon and always has good music for us to listen to. I went to Sinister two different times, once to get my haircut and once to get an all over dye. Sam was my stylist both times. I finally found MY salon!!! The whole salon is decorated in black and cool art and taxidermyed animals and things like that. As soon as I walked in, I felt at home. Sam was really cool and did exactly what I wanted with my haircut. I'd like to add here that I've been to several other salons in Las Vegas and I've never been treated as well as I was treated here. I came back for my all over color and the vibe was exactly the same. Services are done on time and with care. Prices are reasonable and fair. The vibe is perfect. Oh and the music is fantastic, it's like being in my own house.

I found Dee in a mom's group from Facebook, and decided to give her a shot. What a great experience! The salon is super fun and laid back. Everyone is funny and friendly. None of that catty "we don't like her", kind of stuff you find in other places. I was greeted with a smile and a prompt start time. Dee was honest about what we needed to do to achieve my color goals, and to make sure my hair stayed protected and healthy. Came in this evening for a cut/ color and let me say SAM was the best🫶, accommodating to my disability , as soon as we stepped into the salon we were offered a drink. Never have i went to a salon and actually wanted to go back. Sam talked me through the process as well explained what will and wont work for my face/hair type i love the honesty and will be coming back . And don’t get me started with all the neat gaffs, and oddities i was obsessed 10/10 recommend this salon for all my Not so normal people 🖤🌙🫶

Highly recommend this salon and stylist, Ashlee Swan! I have thick hair and had it long with an undercut and had been wanting to cut it short for years but was always too afraid to take the leap. I had some bad experiences in the past with other salons, and it kind of put me off the idea. I recently moved to the vegas area and came across sinister salon online and loved their vibe and inclusivity, so I decided to give it a shot, and so happy I did! Everyone in the salon is friendly and welcoming. Ashlee does an absolutely amazing job and takes the time to listen and ensure I'm getting what I want every time. As someone who has always been a throw my hair up in a bun and call it a day type of person, Ashlee took the time to answer all my questions and recommend products. Been going to Ashlee for months now, and the cut and color are always fantastic! Honestly first time in my life, I've been excited and confident about my hair. For sure, now a lifelong client! Sam did a wonderful job on my haircut. They made sure I was comfortable with the direction of the haircut at each step and let me feel and see the length in different angles as they went. They did a great job in reminding me about using product and telling me some good ones to try that they like so I wouldn't have so many dry ends. Overall just a wonderful experience from someone coming from out of state to visit and getting to see a wicked salon with cool art all over the walls (and in the bathroom I'm told as well). Best haircut I've gotten in the USA!! I am a fan of layers and 90's flippy hair. I told Sebastian and he gave me exactly what I wanted. I've gotten the best haircuts in France and this was very close to that. Highly recommend this salon. I'm going to have to come back for my next haircut. The owner is very nice too. There is a lot of cool art on the walls. I was in Vegas for a class and this salon was within walking distance from my hotel. It's near the Strat.

As soon as I walked in I knew I was going to like it here (they had creepy art and a Life magazine edition on VAMPIRES!). Charity did a FANTASTIC job of bringing my hair back to life after I tried to bleach, color, and cut my own hair (leave that to the pros folks!) Blake worked MAGIC creating the exact color I wanted. Honestly it was a party. I will DEFINITELY be returning. Sooooo worth it just for the vibes, but the people were awesome and the prices couldn't be beat.

Came in with dyed black hair from January and brown natural roots after being told from other salons in vegas that they couldn’t give me copper hair or any shade of orange for under $800, Blake did a BEAUTIFUL job giving me the color i wanted. He told me the whole process and made sure I was comfortable and made sure my hair didn’t get damaged/broken. I found their Instagram page and was really impressed with all their work. All the stylists their do amazing work. Blake did my haircut and I cannot recommend him enough!! I would say that I am completely ecstatic with the outcome of my haircut. I have lived in Las Vegas since 2017 and have not found not one single person who can cut my type of hair. I have a crazy amount of hair and I recently did the unthinkable and decided that since I could not find someone to do my hair that I was going to do it myself. Bad idea. I completely damaged my hair and needed it cut badly. I kid you not, I must have gone to 4 different salons and called 8 to see if there was an open spot just for a haircut. NO ONE had openings. I decided to take a chance on a salon that I found via Instagram. I tell you it was worth every... single... penny. I will most definitely be a repeat customer. I have gotten so many compliments on my haircut ( that was cut by the owner ) I literally have had people approach me asking me where I got it done. Hair aside, I actually really love the vibe of the salon, its not very often you come across an establishment that embodies who you are as a person. If I could give 10 stars I would. The Owner was super nice and definitely knows what he's doing. I wish nothing but great things for this new business.

I really hate to not give them a perfect review. The atmosphere and music is the BEST! Everyone was super nice including Charity who did our hair. We both got cuts, and my daughter had her roots bleached. Both our cuts were extremely crooked, and my daughters bleach job was awful. There was a brown line through her entire head. I pointed this out and she said it was the green leftover from her last hair color. It didn't look like that to me, but I digressed. Got home, and saw it was brown, not green. She didn't bring the color down far enough. I ended up fixing it myself. After spending over $160, that's pretty upsetting. I have to pay another stylist to fix the crooked cuts as well. Edit: my head is shaved on one side, my part doesn't change. The cut was done dry, so it was already styled the way I do it. It was crooked where the layers were. As for my daughter's hair, yes, it was damaged, that's why we got it cut. There was the band of new growth, green left over right under that, and then faded green on the bottom. This is how it fades. The brown line was from not bringing it down far enough. It was new growth I pointed this out before she'd finished. I appreciate you offering to fix it, but I'd already lost faith. I didn't want things to get worse. I've already had it fixed, I really did love your solon, and I wish you all the best.

I took my daughter here for a haircut and was super excited to see that they are pride/trans friendly. Zowie ended up cutting her hair. My kiddo said she felt super comfortable and that her stylist was really nice. Zowie was super excited and enthusiastic about the haircut and was all positive vibes. The best part, kid absolutely LOVES her haircut. Even her siblings gave her a thumbs up when we got home. We will definitely be back for some more fun styles.

Woke up totally hating my hair and checked out Sinister online. I was able to book a same-day appointment and duuuuuude!! I’m so fricken happy! 10/10! My stylist was Ashlee Swan and man she did me up right! I told her what I was looking for and she delivered full on. The texture is on point and my fade is juicy! I super appreciate how she talked me through some product and styling tips and I was able to run to a beauty supply store after my appointment and picked up some goodies to play with. She’s great with color and short (all hair lengths honestly) hair, manages what you need and works with you to get you to the cut that fits you. I wanted to get a stylish haircut and color before my wedding, and I only had a few hours to spend in the area. The team was able to get me in quickly and work with me to achieve a great look! I had never done the sort of coloring work before, and Heidi and the rest of the team were extremely professional in making sure I understood the risks, proper care for the dyes, and how to keep the style looking good for a long time. The decor of the salon is fantastic, with a goth punk aesthetic. The parking lot can be a bit of a mess to deal with since there are a lot of stores in the strip mall, but the entire experience is well worth the brief hassle of finding a place to park. If I'm ever in the Vegas area again wanting a stylish, professional cut, you can bet I will be going to Sinister Salon!

Shout out to Riss! My daughter and I had our hair cut by Riss last month and we are still Ooo-ing and Awe-ing over it! I went in for a volume cut due to hair thinning and my daughter went in to get her hair thinned out because it was super thick and heavy. Riss gave some ideas on different cuts to help and went to work, keeping us informed of what she was doing and why as she went along. She styled my hair at the end and was able to recommend vegan volumizing products, which I appreciated (most that I have asked in the past have no idea if products are vegan so this was a huge plus!). Now I have amazing layers that bring volume to my hair and my daughter can FINALLY wear a high pony tail! Yay! Thank you for going the extra mile to make us feel welcome, beautiful and valued! But today, I decided to switch it up and went to them since they're very LGBT-friendly and probably knew more about the style I wanted than say, Supercuts (the Hime haircut)... Sara was amazing and knew EXACTLY what a hime cut is (not many stylists understand the variances or nuances; she DID). She is the best stylist I've ever had. She was very warm, friendly, funny and I felt really relaxed around her. My haircut came out exactly how I wanted it to come out and my hair is much healthier after she did her work. She gave me advice to fix my bangs since I have a cowlick at the front of my forehead. She also gave me recommendations about hair growth and health. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it! She also works on textured hair (a stylist who knows how to work on multiple hair types is a relief). Would highly highly recommend especially if you're alt, goth, punk, LGBT, want unnatural colors, need a new look, or just want some REALLY good stylists. I cannot recommend this place enough.

This was my first salon experience and I kid you not the atmosphere here is amazing! Everyone is so welcoming. SARA did my hair and she is seriously the sweetest person ever! She made me feel so comfortable. We laughed and I highly recommend her . 5 stars over all! This salon deserves it all! They are truly amazing. Thank you Sara for my mommy make over <3
