I booked online same day for a Brazilian wax. Yes it hurt, I wouldn't say it was any better or worse than other places, but it was definitely faster! The staff is super professional and made me feel comfortable. The rooms were clean, and the temperature was thankfully warm. I took off 1 star because some spots were missed, however they offer free touch up within 1 week so I am going to go back to get those spots.

I've been a member at this waxing salon for about a year now. I absolutely love it and recommend this place to friends all the time. Great prices, especially if you have a membership, and very high quality waxing. SO much cheaper and better than other waxing centers I have used. I usually see Taetum who is AMAZING. I've seen other ladies occasionally if I had a scheduling conflict, and I have never been disappointed. If you need waxing in SLC, look no further!

My most recent time it was honestly the worst experience ever BUT the awesome thing is after texting in some feedback about all my frustrations and the disaster that was my appointment, the management called me to make things right. They heard me out, remedied the situation, and now I feel confident to recommend their business.

I have been coming here consistently for my Brazilian waxes for a year and a half - it is truly SO GOOD. It is clean, friendly, and the best monthly self-care I can do for myself. Taetum is so sweet, personable, and always makes me laugh which is perfect while I'm on the table. She has great music taste and is always thorough - every wax I've had with her has been fantastic. Highly recommend checking them out - plus the monthly membership and student discount are a bonus!!

If its your first time they will walk you through each step and the after care. Right now my go to person is Ali and she is does a fantastic job every time. I’m giving a 3 stars for my own experience with Bianca she deserves 5 stars and for the owners response! If I could give negative stars for Lexi’s service I would! Me and my friend came in today to get Brazilian waxes, never have I ever been more appalled by a service I’ve received anywhere! I personally received great service, but Lexi who was waxing my friend was not only rude as hell but left my poor friend embarrassed and in tears. She was insensitive, had an attitude and was very rough which for a Brazilian everyone’s sensitivity is different and it can be very painful especially for your first time which it was my friends first time getting it done. I had to convince my friend for 15 minutes to go back in and even asked Bianca privately for someone else’s service to make my friend feel better about the experience. In the end we received service from Tatum! She was beyond gentle and beyond kind, she went out of her way to make my friend feel comfortable, and safe. My friend was beyond terrified after Lexi’s service, but Tatum made my friend want to come back to her again. I was in the room the whole time during the second attempt and seriously we couldn’t have received better service than from Tatum in this situation. My friend texted me tonight and told me the owner called her personally to apologize and gave her a free wax. Thank you to everyone else’s good customer service! I know Valentine’s Day can be rough because businesses are usually overwhelmed, but this girl should seriously be fired! This job isn’t for her! If you want a good experience DO NOT go to LEXI!

I have been here before to get my brows waxed, but yesterday I had my first Brazilian EVER. I had Kelli, who was awesome and talked me through the whole process. She was quick and did a great job!! I love the results and definitely want to go back. (Bonus - the whole place is super clean and Kelli was even steam mopping when I got there!)

The people are amazing, but particularly Taetum. She is excellent at making intimate waxing a comfortable experience — in addition to doing a great job. I have the membership, and I LOVE IT. It’s so convenient to have that taken care of so after my appointment I can speed out if I need to. It rarely ever takes as long as the time is marked on reservations and is always perfect. They know what they’re doing, and it makes a difference. I tell everyone considering waxing that Salt Lake Wax society IS the place. Taetum does so well it makes me a crazy advocate for not only waxing, but Salt Wax Society SPECIFICALLY. Salt Wax Society consistently does an impeccable job with an exceptional staff. I would specifically suggest Taetum! Make sure you leave appointments for me though!!

LONG REVIEW - WORTH IT IF YOU ARE A HAIRY LADY LIKE MYSELF Okay so some background: I never do reviews unless it's really good or really bad. I started getting lots of facial and body hair at a young age (10 years old) and with PCOS the facial hair is COARSE. Ok so I was searching for a better waxing place after paying an absurd amount at LunchBox that ended up tearing my facial skin and causing major break outs. I found this place and just booked for underarms because I was scared to go to another waxer for my face after the experience I had at the other company. Kendall is AMAZING! She is thorough and makes sure to get every hair. I absolutely love going to her. This weekend I have a big trip and I have had no time to wax my face myself like usual. I went to book Kendall, but she's currently not able to get scheduled so I called in and was booked with Ali. I hadn't ever had her so I was nervous, not only because I don't want my face messed up, but also because getting my face waxed is so embarrassing. I've had facial hair forever, but as a woman I hate having facial hair. It is not cute peach fuss, it's like a beard and I absolutely hate. it. Anyway, I had Ali do my facial waxing and underarm waxing today and in my 10+ years of waxing my face I have never had such an AMAZING experience! She was so thorough, kind, and a fun chat! It was the most painless experience as well. I am not sure if Salt Wax Society uses different products than other waxing facilities, or if it was just Ali's soft touch, but it did not hurt as much as usual. Best place I have ever been to and will continue to go to. They are priced reasonably and is judgement free zone! Kendall and Ali are great

COVID Update! Staff wear masks and sanitize often. You’re encouraged to arrive just before your appointment to decrease the amount of people in the waiting area. I have enjoyed the member services and great location. Since my last review, two of my favorite ladies quit which is a bummer. Now I see Ali. I prefer the hard wax and am glad I found a place that doesn’t only use soft/strip wax. Always helpful with before and after care. Everyone I’ve seen has been respectful of my time and preferences. Recommend to my friends!

Had a great experience at Salt Wax Society today! I'm from out of town and picked this place based on reviews and glad I did! Fatima and Jenna were both awesome. Fatima did a Brazilian for me and was super fast, thorough, and made me feel comfortable. The wax they use seemed gentler than other waxes I've had before. Jenna did a fabulous job on my brows. I will definitely book again when I'm back in SLC.

How have I not written a review yet! Salt wax society is the best waxing place! Everyone I’ve talked to is very kind and helpful. Their facilities are always 100% clean and sanitary. I see Jenna White who is a absolute brow goddess!! She shapes them perfectly without over plucking, tugging weird, and is the most detailed wax I’ve ever received. I also received a underarm wax and somehow she does it with minimal pain, and they are always great! Always a great wax, they’re always punctual, sanitary, and I always have a great conversation. I would recommend salt wax society to anyone.

When visiting, Salt Wax Society you will have an amazing experience! The venue is beautiful lit, and very clean. Make sure you ask for Jenna! She is so professional,friendly and amazingly talented. Jenna White is AMAZING! I’ve been going to her for Brazilians for almost a year, I’ve had two other people do them when she was booked up and they didn’t make me feel as comfortable and it wasn’t as quick as Jenna does it! I don’t know what magic she works but she gives the most painless Brazilians. The other girls were good but if Jenna is free definitely book with her! The establishment itself is so cute! They offer DEW which is a ingrown hair serum that has changed my life, and if you sign up for a membership you get discounted products! Definitely definitely recommend! 10000 stars ⭐️

Kylee did my Brazilian wax and it was literally the most pain free Brazilian I have ever had. I used to get Brazilians regularly and then I stopped so I was fully prepared for a very painful Brazilian. I cannot express enough how comfortable Kylee made me feel and how she made it as pain free as possible. As she was doing my Brazilian I noticed her eyebrows and she told me she did them. I went back a week later and had her tint and wax my brows and she literally transformed my brows. If you choose salt wax society ask for Kylee to do your Brazilian and Brows. I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

Came as a walkin, just trying to get the feel and explore. Never choose to look at another place again or even bother. I'm sold on this place from the prices, to the environment and specifically the people. I've seen a couple of them and they are all great but Taetum takes the cake and can have all my money! Cute place! I saw an ad to be a model on instagram (in exchange for a free waxing) and I’ve been on the lookout for a new downtown waxing place since my other gal moved to Sugarhouse. I decided to try out a Brazilian. I schedule it for a Monday and when I came in the girls at the front told me they didn’t have me scheduled (some kind of mix up). It happens. To make up for the mix up, they offered me a complimentary wax (and mentioned putting it in the notes that it was free of charge) the next day which was nice of them and I decided to come in that Tuesday. Tuesday comes around and I go in and I get waxed. I like the process and their whole setup. I felt comfortable and the waxing tech was friendly. However, I was still asked to pay at the end. I was kind of irked but paid and left a tip then just left. I didn’t feel like it was worth bringing up the entire issue from the day before. Pretty disappointed 😔 Update: Since the review the owner called me and left me a nice voicemail apologizing. I appreciate the refund and will be back for sure. My waxer was nice and it was a clean and comfortable environmentd, just miscommunication which was solved.
