I don’t usually leave reviews but I have to brag about Robin! I usually go to the downtown location because that’s where I signed up for my membership last year but decided to give this location a try since it’s closer to me and I am SO GLAD I did! I’ve been getting Brazilian wax here since it was Lush Wax Boutique (something like that) and I have never had anyone do as good of a job as Robin did. She was so thorough while getting the job done in under 15 minutes and being personable on top of all of that. I will not go to anyone but her from now on. Robin, you’re amazing! :)

I have visited Libby specifically twice for service such as a brazilian and a brow wax. She always does a nice job and ensures that the waxing is quick and painless and that you are satisfied with your results before you leave. I never knew that (a) I was not taking nearly as good care of my body skin as I wanted to, (b) that taking care of myself would be so easy with the right knowledge, and that (c) Salt Wax Society would change my life and make it easy to do so WITHOUT breaking the bank!! I was honestly a little anxious to go my first time because I had poor experiences with waxing in the past, but from the moment I stepped inside I was at ease. It’s something with the way the shop is set up and the way the staff is kind and professional that helps build an aura of confidence and calm. Next thought is “oh man, this must be super expensive, yikes! I’ll never be able to maintain.” But they offer monthly plans for certain services, which has made it possible for me to keep coming! Good idea, poor execution. The salon has a trendy and appealing style to it. Booking appointments is relatively easy and the website is informative. Prices are also very appealing at first glance. After searching far and wide for a good waxing salon, I thought I had finally found it. However, I was met with disappointment. Fabric furniture in waxing rooms are coated in a layer of dust and hair. Waxing technicians look unkempt and were smoking in front of the salon when I pulled up for my appointment. And if you want your innermost thigh area or happy trail included in your Brazilian you have to pay extra - which means that their prices just about level out to nearly the same as other salons in the end. The search continues... UPDATE: The owner of the salon contacted me the day after I posted this review. She informed me that she purchased new furniture and had already replaced the items i mentioned were unclean. She also notified me that she does not allow her staff to smoke in front of the salon and she'd be speaking with the persons directly. Felicia also kindly offered me a free service. I changed my review from 2 stars to 3 because the owner is clearly invested in good costumer service.

Allison is super awesome. If you've never had a wax or are nervous, or just want great results, ask for Allison. I've been to her 3 times now. She is super quick and the wax is becoming less painful each month. I'd highly recommend this salon. They've made it comfortable, clean and friendly each time I've been. They have great retail product also. I love the few things I've purchased for brazilian wax maintenance. They also have a pretty great membership option you'll have to ask about. There's perks to having one; the membership makes maintenance easier, affordable and gives great results.

I am SUPER picky about who I let wax me, so when I was on the search for a new wax salon I did my research. I was so happy when I found Lush Wax Boutique. It was so easy to get an appointment as they have both early and late times. This is extremely important to me because I am a grad student and work full time. I usually run over on my lunch break and I am in and out in 20 min. Such a life saver! Both Allison and Katy have waxed me and both do an amazing job. I had some questions and they were both there to offer advice on things I could do and products that would help without being pushy. It was so nice just to be able to go in and have people I can trust that are trained and talented at what they do. They have great prices, with student and membership discounts which is extremely rare to find.

Update: The owner Monique and Esthetician Robin were quick to correct the issue. I appreciate them taking a personal approach to the matter to resolve my problem - I have received a full refund, and appreciate their promptness. I used to love coming here but for a company with a very strict cancellation policy, they called the day of my appointment to cancel last minute and asked me to reschedule. When I explained I couldn’t come in before 5:00pm or on another day, Ashley acted like it wasn’t really her problem. I asked to have Monique call me back to see if I could be refunded for my monthly membership for the month of august, keep in mind I have had This membership FOR YEARS. Ashley said I could email Monique and cancel my membership online. Customer service was seriously lacking and I’m incredibly disappointed in the quality and lack of professionalism. Needless to say I did email and canceled my membership and the only response I got was the automated response from canceling my membership. The best part is in order to even get the form to go through with a cancellation you have to say it’s okay for them to keep your money they charged for the membership. So I paid for services that will not be received. I find it incredibly inconsiderate of a company to place a fee on customers if they cancel within a 24 hour period, yet the company themselves can cancel on their customers and not issue a refund. I won’t be coming back, which is sad to say as I’ve supported them since before they were “salt wax society”.

My 5 year anniversary just past of coming here. All I can say is wow. I have loved all the updates that have been done to this business. Multi locations, bigger location and membership plans. Yes, my girls have come and gone but, that’s expected. Some grow and move on which is great. Arden is my favorite by far. These girls do their best to make you comfortable and for it to be less painful. I wouldn’t even classify it as painful more of a sting. I don’t see myself ever leaving.

I had a really great experience getting a Brazilian wax today! Avery was really friendly and the whole thing from check in to out the door was 20 minutes! I’ve had waxes that take 45 minutes so it was really nice to get all of the pain over with quickly! There was plenty of parking, which was one of my concerns going to a business downtown and not knowing exactly where the shop was. I would have liked some suggestions of after care products they carry and would have purchased them if it had been suggested. It was a great first experience overall and I’ll definitely go back!

This was definitely the best experience I’ve had with Salt City Wax! I was a little weary when I heard the news that Wendi had left, but the new Manager- Libby was 100x better, (no offense to any of the other girls that used to work there) but she took her time to get to know me and was extremely quick but also made sure to give me the best Brazilian I’ve ever had! She also explained the problems with why my skin gets irritated with the currant body exfoliants I’ve been using and showed me a much more cost effective scrub that I was able to purchase at the salon, it’s also made for sensitive skin so that was an added bonus with the size and cost! She made me feel extremely comfortable even though it was our first time meeting and obviously when your getting waxed it is a pretty personal thing but she just has a wonderful warm friendly and professional personality and skills, she kept me focused on talking about what my plans were for the weekend so I honestly didn’t even notice the little bits of pain! I was almost thinking we hadn’t even started but then before I knew it we were done and she even made sure to put on the soothing spray as well as the mask to prevent ingrown hair! I’m so happy that Libby is apart of the team of Salt City Wax and I’ll definitely be going to her every time as well as recommending her to all my friends!

To be honest. I didn’t love this place at first. I signed up for a membership with a girl I loved that was training - then she left. I was about to cancel my membership until... ROBIN! my waxing saving grace. They’ve gotten new management which also fixes a lot of issues I had with them. But dead serious. Robin is my go to lady. She’s awesome- like she has night goggles to see everything but for hair! Please keep Robin on and hold on to her tight! My one true waxing love. I will follow her to the ends of the earth for a good wax.

Allison is fantastic, have had 2 waxes now with her and she is so personable and professional. Talking with her as she works makes the time go by super quick and she is very good at making it much less painful than other waxes I've had. She is awesome at explaining What's she's doing, upkeep afterwards, and what products are the best. It was my first time going to a place like this and I was very nervous but the whole atmosphere is so relaxed. They have nice music playing and the girls are super friendly so it almost feels like a party and it takes most of the awkwardness away. The only reason i gave four stars instead of five is that there were a few spots that were missed. I was told they do free touch ups within seven days though, which is good, but it is a little inconvenient to have to go back to fix something that should have been done in the first place.

The salon itself is adorable, with tons of little knicknacks that have been added to my wishlist. They also sell some excellent aftercare products that have given me the best results in between waxes. I got my first Brazillian wax here and now I'm never going back to shaving! They leave you feeling so smooth and it lasts a long time! The first time it was honestly the most painful thing (pinpoint bleeding, redness, etc.) but the pain went away about an hour later and every time I go it's less and less painful. I usually stick with Robyn now bc she makes me feel very comfortable, but everyone there has been great so far.
