This boutique is absolutely adorable and the staff is very friendly. I’ve been getting waxed by Valerie for a while now and she never disappoints! Waxing (especially a Brazilian) can be a very intimidating experience but she does a great job at making you feel comfortable and relaxed. You can tell she loves what she does with the amount of time and attention to detail she puts into each appointment. She makes great conversation and is overall such a genuine person. If you are looking for a spectacular wax experience, this is the place to go!!

First of all I want to start by saying the location of this place is wonderful, and is so cute! I made an appointment for my very first wax with Valerie. The check in process was very easy and the girl greeting me was so sweet! After getting checked in, Valerie came and got me and before starting my service she asked me lots of questions and just made my overall experience so comfortable before ever getting started. During the service, Valerie made sure to explain what she was doing and stopped to check on how I was doing as well. I cannot recommend coming here and booking with Valerie enough! Not only was everyone so friendly, the service itself was just as amazing.

I love this place and the service is amazing, however I don’t care for their no show policy. I understand it can be frustrating if someone no shows, but it should not charge you $30 for that, at least it it’s your first time missing an appt.

I was looking for a good waxing place and found this lovely location. Chastity was amazing. Very personable and professional. I’ve had my eyebrows ruined so many times before that I was a little scared. But, I was very pleased with Chastity’s work. She gave me the natural clean look I wanted. It was a bit pricey for what I am used to. In Montréal, waxing services are a lot more affordable so I was really happy to catch the 50% off promotion for new clients! I recommend if you are looking to treat yourself!

Updating my review to 5 stars. As of Dec/Jan they brought back the old wax (aka the pink wax) and are keeping it because it definitely works better on certain areas of the body than their new wax. If you're getting Brazilians and you're left with patches of stubborn hair, ask for the pink wax! It's amazing! Bare Necessity, thank you so much for bringing back the old wax and for listening to your customers. I'm very happy with your services again and bought my daughter a facial. I've been coming here for awhile now and it used to be great! Ever since they switched waxes over the summer, it's left a lot to be desired. The new wax is NOT good for Brazilians and fails to remove hair in the same exact spots on a lot of women. If this isn't remedied, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. If the new wax works better for some body parts, great! Use it for that and get the old wax back for the other areas and use both. Why should I pay for a service that is sub-par when there's many other waxing businesses?

When you walk in, the lobby is very clean and well organized. They have all sorts of products you can buy for different beauty needs next to the front desk. The front desk receptionist is always friendly and helpful. The staff here are punctual with appointment times, and Rachel, who I have seen twice now, is easy to talk to and great at her profession. I have gotten my eyebrows waxed and tinted twice and each have had perfect results. Recently received a Brazilian wax from her, even though it was rough because it was my first time, she made it very bearable and even slightly fun! :) Overall the services are very affordable, and their first time customer specials are incredible.

I love this place! I have been coming here religiously for the past 2 years. Although waxing isn’t super comfortable, Rachel makes it as easy and painless as possible and actually makes me look forward to my appointments. So we can catch up on the latest gossip 😏. I am so happy with my experience. Elaine was great! She did a great job making me feel comfortable for my first Bikini and underarm wax. She had good conversation and left me feeling silly smooth all over. Everyone was pleasant on the phone and in person. The 50% off for first timers came in handy and I bought a kit for maintenance on the way out. I love that they were not pushy with products at all, they just mentioned it and I was happy to buy. The room they take you in definitely sets the mood for relaxation. The facials are SO SO legit. My skin is usually sensitive to basically anything, but their products make my skin react so nicely. I have been going to Bare Necessities since 2012 and have always received the BEST care at the FAIREST prices. I'm in a sensitive group for Covid-19, but they're safety protocol is so professional. They've got the outside the door set up with hand sanitizer, the sign asks you to wear a mask, and the last line suggests: "Get ready to be pampered." They clean the entire space every hour and are meticulous while still offering the wonderful services with all the necessary safety measures so you can relax and, if only for a little while, be pampered and "taken away." I have had appointments with Amy, the owner, and Rachel. They're professionalism and how they remember your exact needs are awesome!

Had a pretty good experience here. I called wanting 2 wax services and was told they didn't have time for both that day. As such, I went to EWC for one service and this place for the other. This was my first time getting a bikini wax, so I was not sure what to expect. The waiting area and room was really nice and well kept. During the wax, I wished the gal would have explained the process a little better and told me what she was doing while she was doing it. That would have helped ease my nerves a little bit. She was quick and efficient and did check in on my pain level, but for a first timer I was just kind of like, "wait what's going on?" This place was totally fine and cute, but if I had to choose where to go for another wax, I would probably just go to EWC.

I have had two 1hr custom facials and just had the O2 facial, which were all amazing! When trying out a new place, I like to try out different esthetician's as I've found each one has varying techniques in how they apply, massage, and execute the facial so each time I tried to book with a different one. Aubrey, Jenna & Elaine were all wonderful. The staff is polite, respectful and extremely welcoming. Their website and online booking, confirming of your appt., etc. is all run very smoothly and effectively. The facility is clean, inviting, and decorated so cute! They also run really great monthly specials, so if you go, make sure you're included in their monthly newsletter. I'm also a big fan of the product line that they use, Image Skincare - the Vital C serum is the best! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I was new to Bare Necessity, which adds even more discomfort to a bikini was. I was warmly greeted and asked to fill out the usual forms. The place is sweet, very pretty Victorian. The room is filled with peace. You feel at home. The aroma therapy is soft, spa-like, relaxing. I had 2 wax procedures done plus a back facial which was a relaxing treat. The 2 young women who performed the treatments were very good at what they did! They were kind and comforting and thorough. I really can't say enough of the whole experience. Truly a find. I love Bare Necessity Wax and Spa. Amy has a great little boutique business right in the heart of Gilbert. I've been going to Bare Necessity for over a year now and I love the fact I can book appointments on line, not to mention you can usually find an appointment that's convenient and not 6 weeks out. I'm one of those clients that just can't commit to the follow up appointment while I'm standing at the reception desk. I've also had several wax treatments, and Amy makes you feel comfortable even while exposing your naughty bits and regretting why you didn't make your appointment sooner rather than later. Over all I give Bare Necessity Wax & Spa 5 out of 5 stars, convenience, location, comfort, and atmosphere.

My husband got me the Bare Necessity signature facial as a birthday gift and it was amazing. They gave me a foot scrub, scalp and arm massage and an amazing facial. My skin looks bright and feels amazing. My aesthetician was Aubrey Papuga. She has a very calming demeanor and does a great job of mixing skin maintenance with relaxation. I've never experienced such a great blend of the two. The spa itself is very cute and does not push you to purchase products as I have experienced in the past at other spas. I will definitely be back to try other services.

After my second visit, we discovered that I have a mild allergy to normal wax and since then Amy has used a special hypo-allergenic wax that my sensitive skin appreciates. Not only does she remember, but she asks every time: did you take your allergy meds? Amy is always professional and has an excellent eye for detail. The environment of her new spa is peaceful and soothing and I always feel happy and relaxed after a visit. Her staff and her partner Jason always appreciate my busy schedule and bend over backwards to make things as quick and efficient as possible for me.
