I went here for my bday 8/19, this was my first time getting a full waxing service. I paid $89 for the waxing combo #2 underarms, lower legs and Brazilian. My skin specialist was Chelsi, she was amazing and made me feel comfortable. I definitely be going back here. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Very pleased .

I booked with Hadiyyah for my first Brazilian wax. I was very nervous and she explained everything to me step by step. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She also made great conversation to take my mind off of the wax. There was no hairs left behind which I loved because I heard of waxers leaving behind hairs and not cleaning up the area properly. 10/10 highly recommend going to her, you will not regret it. I will be coming back to her monthly for my waxes.

Hadiyyah Gray made my first wax experience so comforting, the complete opposite of the horror stories I hear of how painful and unsettling the first one is! She was patient yet still got me out quick, and her spirit and energy was extremely welcoming! Hadiyyah is absolutely aaaaaamazing!! I would always get ingrown hairs & felt like I could never get a wax but since I’ve been going to her I’ve been BALD BALD! I've been coming here for a few years, maybe four and for the most my experience has been good. However, the high turnover rate is very off-putting and makes me uncomfortable. A brazilian wax is a sensitive service that not everyone can perform and offer the same experience and expertise. I know as a business you would like to think that all of your specialist are trained the same and equal in skill but as a client who has experienced different techs, this is so not true. Not to mention when a tech leaves you don't give their upcoming or regular clients any notice or recommendations for a new tech, we are blindsided when we go to book. It's really annoying and unfair to regular customers. Retaining good staff is an issue that needs to be worked on by management in order to retain regular clients!

So I had an appointment today with Dominique who was shadowed by Tamara for a full glut and chest wax. Today was quit an experience for me. For starters, I was uncomfortable having two esthetician’s working on me. My appointment took literally 1 hour and 30 minutes. Male clients usually have thick corse hair, she started my left glute with a soft wax that wasn’t removing barely anything and ask’d Tamara to work on the right glute to speed up the process which was very concerning to me that she wasn’t able to handle the full glute, and needed a second hand. I felt extremely nervous because Dominique would use uncomforting words like “ your really hairy” “this is my first time with a client with this much hair”, “I don’t know how y’all wax, I can’t do it it’s too painful”. We all know waxing is painful but we expect the esthetician to comfort you, and I felt very uncomfortable and not at ease. Dominique also spilled the whole bowl of wax on my chest. I had them stop the wax, an hour and a half into it, and still have hair. Thankfully the manager noticed my discomfort and questioned what was going on and made me feel better about my wax disaster. Only reason they’re getting three stars is how professional the manager handled the situation.

She'll help you get thru the pain lol, and during the waxing even kind of builds a relationship with her clients. Considering this is my FIRST wax, I went ahead and got a combo. Mahogany was informative and walked me thru what I believe is everything. She cleaned me up great. What I didn’t understand was after she said she was done she left the room to let me get dressed and as I was getting myself together she knocks on the door, I shout ,”still getting dressed” she continues to walk in anyway and says “ I need to clean up my next client is here.” Though I would have understood a knock to hurry she continued to cleaned around me as I got ready. But before I even got the wax I notified the receptionist that I’d be 10 mins late. Even though I was waiting, Mahogany allowed her client to get dressed while she was at the front desk talking to the other employees and showed her how to use the scrub Spa by Claudia provides. As patient as I am, the same courtesy you gave to your previous clients I just thought it was fair and basic human decency to give it to all of your clients. Wax was fine, customer service was unprofessional. Aside from that Mahogany was cool.

Going here was my very first time. I was welcomed and treated so well. My esthetician was Nikki. She made me feel so comfortable. At no point did I feel like my body was looked at as repulsive (and I am a plus-size woman), Other than my spouse, only my physician looks down there. So, my experience has led me to be a customer for life (or as long as I decide to wax). I would certainly recommend going to this place.

Scheduling an appointment was super easy. You can call them or schedule one through their app. I saw good reviews on Nikki so decided to book with her. She was amazing. Made me feel comfortable, made the process as painless as she could. She was great. Great place for waxing. The staff are patient and kind. Will give you the option to finish a treatment another time if the pain is too much for you but when I was given the option I just chose to hold off on the area I struggled with until the others was over and it was great. If you’re new to waxing though I highly recommend buying their numbing cream.

Spa by Claudia is the only place where I get my wax. There were a few times that I was a bit frustrated with staff. One time I arrived for my appointment and my aesthetician was still servicing a client. She needed about another 10-15 minutes. I would have appreciated the receptionist giving me a call and letting me know that I didn’t need to rush or that I had extra time to spare. Especially when i am paying for parking. This happened twice before. Other small things were I book with one aesthetician and I was placed with another. I would highly recommend Nikki. She is amazing!!

Okay let me begin by saying this..I’ve been getting waxed here and there for years mostly because I’ve been trying to avoid the pain and I haven’t quite found “that one esthetician” that made me feel totally at ease! I’ve been coming to Claudia’s wax off and on for about 2 years and I’ve finally found the perfect esthetician!!!! My esthetician today was Jerry/Geri I am not sure how to spell her name but she was nothing short of amazing! she was knowledgeable, quick and painless!!! I mean seriously my full Brazilian wax was PAINLESS! I was laying there before she began like ugh look at all the pain us girls have to go through and ms Geri/Jerry turned my thought upside down because I had no pain at all ...she was done before it even began! I honestly can’t wait to come back! She educated me on the different types of waxes and I elected to choose sugaring and I’m soooo happy that I did and please believe me when I say Jerry/Geri left noooo hair behind! Ladies and gentlemen if you are looking for the perfect painless esthetician Geri/Jerry is the one to book with! I was not referred to Jerry I just called and was lucky to get squeezed in and I’m sooo glad they were able to squeeze me in with her! What an angel!!!

My first time coming here as I wanted to try sugaring instead of hard wax for once. Unfortunately I didn’t get that. My esthetician/wax specialist & I were talking so I didn’t realize what she was using (hard wax) as I wasn’t in any significant pain or discomfort. It wasn’t until I was about to pay that the lady at the front desk asked me if I had gotten the sugaring, in which my reply was yes. Then my waxer, Torri, walked by & said no that was hard wax. I was disappointed in myself for not paying more attention. But I was upset that they didn’t verify & confirm with the wax specialist of what I was there for. I gave 3 stars because the waxing was fine & Torri talking to me made the appointment a breeze. But I didn’t get what I went there for. If I go back.. I’d go to Torri again. But If I wanted hard wax I honestly would’ve went elsewhere.

Naturally I was skeptical because I've never been to any wax location in the Philadelphia area. The staff was super accommodating prior to my arrival when I called and requested that I reschedule for a day earlier than my original appointment. Last night I had my first appointment with Nikki and it was awesome. She was great, personable, and super sweet. I'm so happy to have found my new wax place in my hometown and will be sure to refer my friends.

I rarely write reviews about the places I go, but this one... I HAVE TO DO THIS FOR THE DEAF COMMUNITY. Yesterday was the first day and time I finally marked off my bucket list: Getting a Brazilian wax. I’ve heard about this place from my friends who are regular customers. I got treated like a decent and beautiful customer despite my hairy appearance. I was not fully satisfied with the outcome yesterday that I called the receptionist through an interpreter. I explained my dissatisfaction and was concerned about having to pay again. She was absolutely kind and understanding. I returned today to make up. The service was amazing! I became a different & happy womxn again! I will definitely be a regular there. I will recommend going there!

I’ve been here a few times. My first waxing tech at this place was great! As time passed, she no longer worked there so I had to go to someone else & I haven’t been back since. I get waxed almost every month & have been for years so I’m very particular about the outcome. The last tech I saw at this place was horrible. The wax was very hot, which is a huge no no. The tech did not do the best job either, nowhere near it. I’m going to give it another try because I still have credit & I want to use it. I don’t have a clue which wax tech to go to at this point so that’s the hold up. I thought looking at the reviews someone would recommend a good tech here ☹️. The inside of the place is great, nice, clean, comfortable! They do serve wine, & that’s awesome. The staff is also friendly, which is another plus.

My wax lady was great!!! Really nice; friendly conversation and down to earth. My only complaint is there were some spots that were missed that I did not see until I got home. Also, Im not a fan of the baby powder because I left a little messy. I would suggest bringing baby wipes to clean up after the service. Finally, I love the price!! Most places charge $50+ for a Brazilian and you will have to be a member at The Naked Peach to pay the prices you pay here. I will be returning.

I was really pleased with the business and service rendered. I made my appointment on a busy Saturday. Upon entering I was greeted by the receptionist who got me started on my paperwork immediately and asked if I wanted a beverage. A nice gesture on a hot summer day. There was a slight wait, that did not bother me because the atmosphere was relaxing and I had time to relax my nerves lol. I was serviced by Elizabeth(hope that's correct) . She was quick and efficient, great spirit and calming during a painful service, light conversation and laughs. She did an after wax lavender treatment that really set the tone for me. I've never had that done and I hadn't had a wax in over a year. No bumps or irritation afterwards. I will be a regular now, so happy this place opened.

Ok, so this was my first time getting a Brazilian wax. My experience was great! The staff was friendly and very comforting for someone as nervous as me and I really had nothing to be nervous about. Nevertheless, the staff walked me thru the process, they was very informative about their product and how to use them. They give you free wine to ease ur nerves. I had two Lol! But the process was easy with minor discomfort. Im glad i picked Claudia to experience my first wax. Im definitely going back!

This place is AMAZING!! I just had my first session there today and had a Brazilian wax done. I had a Brazilian done once about two years ago at the European Wax Center, and let me tell you that this place is a million times better! The prices are amazing, everyone there is so sweet, and the best part.... my Brazilian bearly hurt at all!! Of coarse once you get into the intamate areas it does take your breath away abit, but everything was done so quickly that it wasnt a big deal at all! Plus my esthetician, Avia((if you see this thank you again so much!!)), was so fun and bubbly, it took away any awkwardness that I felt when the bottoms had to come off. I will DEFINITELY be coming back again when it's time for another waxing! I never want to go anywhere else!

This was my second time coming here after a friend referred me. It’s a cute little spa on Main St. in Manayunk. My esthetician’s name was Tirah I believe. She was super friendly with great conversation....how someone should be when they are about to rip the hair from between your legs. She let me know what she was about to do and because of that I felt more relaxed. The spa itself is clean but a little outdated. They have competition with the Naked Peach which is a little more popular but I would still prefer to come here. It’s easy to book and/or modify and appointment. Street parking is available.

Reasonable prices but if my tech who is karmejit leaves I think I will find somewhere else to go the other techs seem young and inexperienced and yes I've gone to others when avia and karmajit wasnt available and I hated it. #experience
