I left feeling so very taken care of. This place is more than just a laser center, it is an experience. Maria was such a sweet heart, and made sure I was comfortable at every step of the way. The actual studio is quaint (and while somewhat hard to find) is the perfect place of calm. One thing that stood out to me was that they had sunscreen for people of color. While this may seem like a small thing it made me feel seen and valued as most business only cater to fair skin tones. I have only had my first appointment but I know that I will be a long time client and I highly recommend this small business!

I saw Mari for about 9 months here for a few small areas. Wonderful to work with, always checking in on how you're feeling. You should come in with clean skin but they have sunscreen and spray deodorant you can apply for your trip home. Nice space, call it dungeon chic. Grab a chocolate on your way out!

Mill City Laser is amazing!! I started 3 months ago and I can already see impressive results. I did the back of my hairline, bikini area, underarms, and lower back. I’ve experienced laser treatments in the past elsewhere and this is BY FAR the most pain free I’ve had. I don’t regret a single dollar I’ve put towards the cause or any discomfort. Having no hair in the areas I chose was the best practical decision. I feel so much more comfortable in my own skin. Hannah the Laser technician is so fun to be around, comforting and compassionate. The location of Mill City Laser couldn’t be more convenient. The ambiance of the space is so authentic and inviting. Extremely clean and professional. I seriously couldn’t recommend this place more!

I always had Mari as my specialist, and she is so easy to talk to - makes the time fly. And she's fast - she works quickly to get the most of the time you have booked! I had started visiting Mill City Laser in 2017 after a number of other laser hair removal spas failed to show results over a number of years. Hannah and Mari are incredibly kind, welcoming, knowledgeable and WORTH EVERY PENNY. I have been extremely satisfied with my results here! I stopped a few years ago and just revisited in January 2022 for a touch up for the first time. While I can tell they are taking pandemic protocols very seriously (pre-appointment health eval, masks, etc.), I also know that the cleanliness didn't even need to change to meet that standard, as they've always been extremely clean. I cannot recommend Mill City Laser enough.

I had such a great experience here! It was my first time trying out laser hair removal, and I was able to consult beforehand to get any questions answered and my first session was so easy and comfortable. They feel very safe and welcoming for all, definitely recommend for any seeking laser for gender related reasons. I put off laser treatment of my facial hair for years. I was, in general, very nervous about the treatment overall, but as a woman of color, I have also heard horror stories about laser treatment bleaching out natural pigment. I am so glad that I put that aside and trusted Mill City Laser. It is obvious that Hannah truly cares about her clients. She completely put me at ease and took the time to explain and educate. The process for scheduling appoints is very easy. The facility is quaint and comfortable. The prices were reasonable. Can't say enough about Mill City Laser!

When I arrived, Mari greeted me kindly by name. She immediately made me feel so comfortable, and like she'd known me for quite some time. The space in Northeast is quaint and extremely clean. It's dim lit, but not too dim, and reminds me of a place I'd like to spend time reading, or just relaxing. There is absolutely nothing intimidating about the facility. Mari made sure that I was comfortable the entire duration of the procedure. She would make a pass with the laser and check if that was enough, or if I'd like to increase the intensity. She described the sensation perfectly as "Tolerable discomfort"...kinda like getting a tattoo, actually! I signed up for the Basic Membership which is 30 minutes of laser time per month. This is unique because you pay for your time, not per body-part. So if you finish with a specific area and there's time left, you can use the extra time to start a new area. This business model is so smart. Truly I cannot thank you enough for your kindness, and compassion, Mari & Hannah. I am so excited to continue my treatment with you!

I had my service with Hannah about 4 weeks ago, but I wanted to wait to see what my results looked like. I was very pleased with the hair reduction in the treated areas. I was really worried after the first couple of days but then began to notice smooth skin in the areas after 2 weeks. As a person who has been to several laser places both outside and inside of Minnesota, I have to say this is the place you should go to, especially if you have brown skin. It's very hard to find good people in Minnesota that genuinely care about brown skin, can show that they have experience, and use the gold standard for laser hair removal for darker skin. Most other places either overcharge, overbook, incorrectly use the highest setting, or just don't use the best laser. Hannah takes pride in her space. It's a very private and comfortable space that has the look and ambiance of a spa. She is very knowledgeable about all skin tones and carefully tests the area to make sure that she chooses the most appropriate setting. While the treatment was uncomfortable, it wasn't as painful as other places. She is also very patient, kind, and committed to your satisfaction. While other places charge per 15 minutes or pressure clients into purchasing a pass, Hannah has several options that fit her clients' budgets. Before I found Hannah, the only person that I would let touch my skin was a laser technician from Denver. I'm glad I was able to find someone who delivers high quality service right here in the Twin Cities. May 2021: I start going back to Mill City Laser a few months ago for a touch up. This time Mari was my laser technician, and I had a great experience with her. She's very kind and also very committed to ensuring that I get great results without compromising safety. For the people who have worked with Hannah before, I think you'll also love working with Mari.

This us a wonderful place to go. Mari has always made me feel completely comfortable whenever I go in. They really know what they're doing, are happy to answer questions, and really care about what YOU want to get out of the treatment. I'd really recommend this place if you want a lot of different areas treated...their monthly subscription method will save you a LOT of money in that regard. Seriously, I can have lower legs, underarms and navel done in a one hour session that costs as much or less than what many places charge for just lower legs. Definitely check them out if you're interested in laser.

Five stars is not even enough to recommend Mill City Laser! After 10+ years of laser hair reduction at various locations across states, I really feel I couldn't give MCL enough recognition. I started my laser reduction journey in the fall of 2017 with Hannah and feel her attention to detail, convenient location, and concern for my health and well-being is unmatched. I have also recently worked with Mari and feel Hannah couldn't have hired a better partner - I felt both comfortable and safe in treatment with both women. I am down to minimal hair growth and have never been more comfortable with wearing shorts - the black dots of follicles in pores are gone! In addition, this is a locally-owned, woman-run business. Mill City Laser has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I suffer from PCOS and USED to have mild facial hair that I would pluck which would leave sore red spots on my face. This would leave me feeling embarrassed and unconfident. Hannah and I discussed this up front and she has worked with me continuously to give me the results that I am satisfied with - free from any judgement! After we started seeing decreased facial hair, I used the rest of my appointment time to start focusing on other areas, such as, under arms, bikini and leg hair. The convenient monthly pricing model made this an easy and budget friendly route to do something extra special for myself. Hannah is the best, hands down!

For the first time in my life I didn't pack a razor or makeup on vacation, thanks to Mill City Laser. It's shocking how much better my face and neck looked after the first treatment! I've had laser before at other places, where you feel burned and snapped by a mean older brother with a rubber band, and the technician says "just a few more" and she proceeds to zap you 50 more times. THIS IS NOT MILL CITY!! Hannah is the most considerate when treating the most sensitive areas, providing constant reassurance and check-in's to make sure I'm doing okay. There aren't enough words to tell you all the good things about Mill City Laser - you just have to try it for yourself, and enjoy the freedom that comes from being hair-free!

I was one of the very first customers of MCL. It is the best thing I have done for myself ever. Their customer service is next to none, the technology is top notch and scheduling appointments is as easy as 1,2,3. I used to have bumps all over my face especially those areas that I shave regularly and I shave daily. If I fail to shave in exactly 24 hrs, I have this issue with in-grow hairs. Now, I shave once in two weeks and my face has never been smoother. If you plan on doing this procedure, go to MCL. You will be glad you did and you can thank me later.
