Michelle has been doing my Brazilians for 4 months now and she’s amazing! I originally went to a chain wax center for my first time and it was so horrible I almost decided to never get waxed again. A friend recommended her and the experience was nothing like when I went to that other place. She’s quick and the way she waxes you makes it very easy to handle pain wise. If you’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing, go and see Michelle!

Great experience at this wax studio! Michelle Jones is my esthetician and she is friendly, welcoming, and laid back. Since the first day I started waxing again she answered all of my questions and concerns and makes the experience comfortable every time. I'm sensitive to certain waxes. The wax products they use go on so smooth and lessen the pain. Also, Michelle is QUICK AND THOROUGH in her waxing. I have NO breakouts afterwards or other sensitivity reactions, and hair bumps are like non existent. She has also recommended me great products to help with maintenance in between appointments that I now can't live without. I love the location of the wax studio in Uptown, Minneapolis, MN (I live close by). The wax studio is clean and beautifully set giving a chic contemporary feel, and the building staff are always friendly. I have a great experience every time I go to my appointments and am so grateful to have found an esthetician that takes pride in her work and has a passion for it. Last night I met Halla for my first wax appointment since March 2020. I was anxious and a bit embarrassed! Halla instantly put me at ease. She works efficiently and uses "talk-asthesia" (like Dr. Pimple Popper!) - she uses her warm personality and conversation to distract from those intense wax moments. Also Halla noticed some underarm skin irritation and educated me about natural deodorant and offered me a product to try. I am so happy to have found Black Onyx. Thank you Halla!
