Was excited to see a dermatologist for the first time in my life, especially Dr. Miranda who has melanated skin like me. I appreciate she squeezed me in at the last minute. I truly trust everything she told me was accurate and that it would heal on its own because now the issue is completely gone. She answered the questions I could remember to bring up and seemed kind in doing so. However, she stood for the whole appointment, which made it feel rushed and impersonal. I felt like a number, just another appointment in her busy schedule without that touch of care or heart. It's okay to stand, just if she could've given me a minute or 2 to ensure I asked everything on my mind. There was no pause or break to breathe. It was wham, bam, and done. When the appointment was over, I remembered one more question I had for her. But it was too late, she had walked out the room speedily. This was disappointing. She gets a perfect review for accuracy and knowledge, but not such a stellar review for that personal touch from one human to another.

I would give 5 stars but the staff was a bit dry. Dr. Snitzer was efficient but she was very in and out and didn't spend as much time with me as I would have liked. I came at a good time so it was not like there were patients lined up in the waiting area when I arrived. Had an additional issue towards the end of my 10-minute visit that needed an injection and you'd think she'd take the time (or the nurse in the room) to prep a 30 second needle but they didn't. Was a bit disappointed about that being that you pay good copays to see the doctors. Would I go back, yes! She is very nice and the office is very clean.

Dr. Snitzer was professional, attentive and possesses a good bedside manner. I have gone to other dermatologists in the past, but she seemed more thorough than what I have experienced in the past. She explained what she was going to do and kept me apprised of her observations as she progressed from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. I have bragged to several people already that my appointment with Dr Powell office was probably the best doctor appointment ever. I needed to get in to see the doctor due to a burst cyst. The staff worked to get me in quickly, I had a 1:40 appointment time. Upon arrival at 1:20 I had about 10 minutes of filling out patient forms and was called to the back at about 1:38. A few minutes with the nurse (very friendly by the way) to understand my needs and she went to get the doctor. I figured here is where I wait 45 minutes, but Dr Powell was in to see me in about 3 minutes. He was also very friendly. Without getting into the gory details he resolved the cyst problem, got me a script ready and sent me on my way all fixed up. I got back to my vehicle and looked at the clock and the time was 1:59. Again probably the best doctor appointment ever.

I must say, after my last dermatologist visit (different office/different physician), I was a little pessimist about visiting another. I had a "skin tag" on my neck which had appeared out of nowhere (started off as a "pimple"). I was able to get an appointment within one week of calling PA Henderson's office. The office is conveniently located close to my home (directly on my commute to work - with free parking!). My only gripe is that they don't have a coffee/drink station in the waiting room. Anyway, PA Henderson was very attentive and spend more time with me than I anticipated. She quickly diagnosed, removed and sent the skin tag off for biopsy. I am supposed to get the results by the end of the week (visit on Monday, results by Friday) - fingers crossed! PA Henderson then spent several minutes checking out two other spots on my face which I had not complained about. She confirmed that they were not skin cancer (yes!) and gave me some ointment samples to use on them. Consider me a happy customer. P.S. I am male and 67 years old.

It is so hard to get an appointment with Dr. Powell. That is the only reason why I do not give a 5 star. Also, a very pricy dermatologist and the treatments and medications prescribed are pricy, but very worth it. My entire family comes here and we have all had our skin issues resolved. If you cannot get an appointment with Dr. Powell (which is very likley), you will have to see his PA, who is very experienced and kind. Very professional place. Highly recommend.

The office staff need training! I am desperately looking for a mailing address to write a formal complaint letter. The front transferred my call to the nurse line, and there was no greeting on the nurse line -only a robotic msg "mailbox 1234". I called the front desk back, the girl took my msg and number, said the P.A. will call me. I asked if she wanted my name? She said in a childish manner, ....I have caller ID, I can look at it. Then she started guessing at my name. I didn't understand why she couldn't just ask for my name! After they lost my referral 2x about a week ago, I decided to ask for the office manager. The front desk girl said ok, but then hung up in my face. I called back 3x, determined to speak to someone in charge. I finally did, "Chelsea", but that was not any better. These employees represent the practice of Dr David Powell and they are not doing it well.
