I have been going to Waxing in the City Kailua for a few months now and I feel the need to give Rachel a shout out! My first time was not with her and it wasn’t a terrible experience but i didn’t know it could get so much better. After booking a second time and getting Rachel i have not gone to anyone else she’s great and what she does and super quick! She’s talkative in the best way possible because she really keeps you engaged in conversation and it takes your mind off of what’s really going on. I highly highly recommend any new timer’s to go to her!

This place is wonderful all around. Let’s face it, the act of waxing is not something we look forward to but the results are amazing. Treece, my cerologist, is AMAZING! She makes you feel comfortable all the way from spreading your cheeks to ripping that wax off! I have a membership, which is totally worth it. Molly is THE BEST!! Really great!! Everyone was very nice and professional. The place is really clean as well. The wax they use doesn't hurt my skin when they pull it off, which is great! Barely any redness after or acne too. I definitely recommend!

I received an email regarding a new service that Waxing the City was offering, Brow Lamination. I did my own research and thought it might be a great way to lessen my morning routine. I called, made an appointment and came in for a patch test to ensure I did not get any reaction to the product being used. On appointment day, my technician was Rachel. She was fabulous! She talked me through the process, answered my questions and allowed me to be involved in the final desired look. Now, several days later I am truly enjoying my eyebrows. Looking forward to going back in a few months.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location and this wax specialist! She is knowledgeable, keeps it real and gives a quick quality wax. This was my 3rd visit to WTC/Kailua and I was very happy with my cerologist, Rachel. She has a great personality, and makes you feel very comfortable for a service that can be quite uncomfortable. She has a nice touch and is very good at what she does! I was in and out of there within 15 minutes, and appreciate her making it so painless. I've tried other techs there and Rachel is by far my favorite because of her comforting touch and friendly personality. They have lots of products for sale there, and many of them are from local companies. If you want to try some new products, just ask your tech or the front desk, because they often run specials. Rachel didn't give me any pressure to buy a product, as some techs often do. I recommend the sugar scrubs, especially before your service. Definitely recommend visiting this location and be sure to ask for Rachel!

Went to Waxing the City for a bikini wax several times while in Kailua. The facility is a clean, beautifully decorated environment and has a spa like atmosphere. Treece made me feel very comfortable before, during, and after the waxing. I plan on joining the monthly program when I return to Kailua in November. If you haven’t tried any of their sevices Ives, I recommend this business.

Been coming here for a few months now and always appreciate how easy it is to make an appointment. Also, I believe that their proprietary wax formula is the best because it has never caused me to break out as other waxes sometimes do. Most recently I had Abby assigned to me and I enjoyed her very much. She is a recent graduate so may be a little slower than seasoned veterans -- but she is so thorough and makes sure that she does a perfect job. Definitely goes above and beyond to do it right. Loved my experience here! I was hesitant to go in given the current circumstances with COVID. But the studio was very clean. My esthetician wore not only a face mask but a face shield along with gloves. Normally I take pain meds before my waxing so that it’s more of a comfortable experience. But this time I forgot and although waxing isn’t pain free Abby made the experience very tolerable. I highly recommend Abby. She was friendly and extremely detailed in doing my waxing. I was so happy with the results that I scheduled my next visit before leaving the studio.

This place is really good! Im awful with names so i forgot the name of my waxer but she was wonderful! The wax they use was really painless. When she did my upper lip I was nervous because normaly that hurts the worst but it felt like nothing. She was really nice and talked to me like an old friend.
