I went to Waxing the City for my very first Brazilian wax. The cerologist I was paired with was incredibly knowledgeable and did a fantastic job maintaining conversation with me during, I hardly even noticed she was waxing me! She gave fantastic aftercare advice. The front desk receptionist was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was nervous coming in for the first time and both her and the cerologist made the experience comfortable for me. Edit: Almost a year later, and I have since stopped going. Over the year my services became more rushed. I left with not only bits of wax and powder still on my skin, but also with patches of hair that were completely missed. For reference my first service was about 30 minutes, the ones following were 15-20 each. Paying $80+ only to go home and discover my service had been performed haphazardly was incredibly disappointing. I went back multiple times hoping it was a one time thing only for it to continue happening.

I always get Brazilians with upper leg, so it’s good to feel comfortable and and at ease with the person who is doing your service. I have liked most of the ones I have worked with but today, I was scheduled with Gillian as the previous cerologist I was with is no longer with the company. I guess it was my lucky day because she was FANTASTIC! She was so personable and professional not to mention, it was the least painful and best quality wax I have ever gotten! She took her time and did SUCH a good job! When I got home and was able to look in the mirror at the wax job, I was so surprised at how perfect it looked! I swear she got every single hair! I was happy to hear Gillian has been with the company for over 2 years and isn’t planning on leaving because I definitely want her to be my cerologist from here on out! I had a GREAT experience with Laura, she is stellar. Full leg, underarm, and Brazilian. She makes you feel so at ease and her technique is flawless. She has also done my brows, which was the most painless brow experience I’ve ever had. She followed my natural shape and even trimmed then to perfection. If any hairs are missed they go back and tweeze to ensure a beautiful finish! Friendly and helpful reception staff too! I’ve used the hydrating lip add-on, as well as a skin soothing post-wax treatment and they were both things I would tell people to try, you won’t be disappointed. 10/10. Highly recommend! I’ve tried several places in Fargo/Moorhead and always ventured away to find somewhere or someone better, you won’t find anyone better than Waxing the City and Laura!

I have been getting my eyebrows done sense i was 9 years old and i can honestly say this is the only place i trust with my brows. i have cried after seeing what other places have done to my face. I am honestly very happy with how my brows look every single time i leave and it doesn’t matter who does them. The staff is very good at what they do and they are very friendly. I have been going to Waxing the city for a couple months now. I see Kayla and she is great! My skin has always been very sensitive to waxing and I have had bad experiences elsewhere, but Waxing the City is definitely the best place I have been too! It's great that they take the extra time to make sure that they get every last hair. Also they have always been on time; even when a glitch with the online system double booked my appointment with someone else's, I still only had to wait maybe five minutes past my appointment time. Having thick, dark, unruly eyebrows, I've been to countless salons over the years and have had many waxing disasters trying to find the right 'cerologist' but never had much luck until I found Waxing In The City over a year ago- I'll never go anywhere else for a wax now. Never tore my skin!! And I leave there not even feeling like I just got waxed!! She is quick and it really doesn't hurt...I have had it done before where I hurt for 2-3 days!! Very educated and great personality. I know she would make you feel comfortable if it were your first time! You won't regret it I promise!!

As far as staff they are very friendly, place is clean. As far as service, it's like they don't listen to you. I have thicker eyebrows and every time I say please just clean them up and keep them natural, I end up walking out with pencil thin eyebrows. The last lady I went to, sweetheart yes, but the head of my brow was taken too far back and doesn't line up with the inner of my eye on my one brow. I'm allergic to make up so I can't fill them in. My eyebrows are uneven and look horrible.
