I went to this location for over a year, the wax specialist I used to see was GREAT. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the “manager” who is extremely rude and unprofessional. Last time I had an appointment they didn’t even have the courtesy to let me know the wax specialist I used to see wasn’t there. On top of that the person at the front desk again very rudely told me they had “texted me” to let me know and that my time was moved 45min earlier. Turns out they had confused me with another person with a similar name. It took for Iris to come out and realized this unprofessional woman that was trying to tell me they had “texted” me, had confused me with another one of her clients. Not a single apology for the awful experience. Thankfully my wax passes can be use at a different location. I wouldn’t recommend this location unless they start training/educating the management as well as the front desk staff on some basic customer service skills. The only reason why they had jobs is for the clientele, that they are pushing away with such unprofessionalism.

I have been to many EWC locations in the country, as I used to travel a lot for work, and Yun at the Beacon Hill location in Boston is the best esthetician I have ever worked with! She is quick, thorough, and makes the process as comfortable as possible! She is also very sweet and I enjoy coming to see her - she is now the only esthetician I like to schedule my appointments with. Thank you Yun!

Great waxers but WORST front desk staff. The check in/check out is extremely inefficient and takes forever. When you call, no one answers the phone, you are immediately put on hold and on average wait for about 5 minutes before someone answers. I missed an entire appointment once sitting in the waiting area because no one told me I needed to go upstairs for my appointment. Not sure if this is because they're understaffed but I've been coming to this location for almost 3 years and it's always the same. Try to always book online and hope you don't have to change your appointment. Anita and Mira are great though!

European Wax is highly recommended. There's no hot wax to burn your skin or cloth strips ripping your skin. Great eyebrow shape and other private areas are left smooth. The serum ensures there are no ingrown hairs.

Fantastically convenient location steps from Charles/MGH on the redline. An impersonal chain with many options for waxers so you can get an appointment same day. Online booking is convenient, but difficult to reschedule, you need to call. There's always some kind of promotion or pressure to buy a package or pre-book for next time as well, but on the plus side they let you tip via credit card, so that's appreciated.
