It’s a nice track to play on. There’s some tight holes with OB on one side and the other holes fairway in the other but it’s a nice technical course for being in the middle of town. Course gets a lot of flack for maintenance by people who’ve never maintained a golf course. These guys do a good job with what they have to work with and should be recognized for it. For a city course the greens are in good shape. I would recommend playing here for anyone who wants to improve on iron striking and FW striking 👍

Green's and the tee boxes are in great shape some of the fairways are in bad shape. Overall I will play this course again

My favorite course in Wichita. A great layout with mature trees, well placed bunkers, decent length, plenty of water and nice contouring. That being said, the conditioning has not been good the last few years. The fairways are very spotty, the bunkers lack adequate drainage and now even the rough is starting to get patchy. I hope they are planning to put some well deserved money into this grand old course. The city would be crazy not to take care of a classic layout like Mac Park. This course in good shape is substantially better than any other course in the city. Add: As of 7/18, the Bermuda fairways have improved substantially and the rough is filling in. It appears they may be building a driving range on the west side. Nice things to finally see.

I golf a lot of public courses and you never know what to expect. I found the course to have a fantastic layout. Long enough from the white tees to present a challenge in distance. Reading some of the reviews I could tell it once was a private course. The greens were in good shape but the fairways definitely could use some attention. I can't grow grass in my own yard so don't ask me for advice 😀 Nice staff. Facilities need a little attention but I wasn't planning to spend hours sitting around. For the price it is a great value.

Great track. Could use some grooming. Over priced for the conditions. This would be my course if it was just a little bit better. Its not that far off. You have to strike your ball on this course. No wonder it use to be a Country Club. To hard!!!!

Great layout not the best condition but much improved from 2019...geese are mostly gone and sand in traps now in place if mud...need some fairway grass and firmer greens... clubhouse folks great.

Fairways were dead, but understandable with the current drought. Don't get a cart... They are pitiful. The brake lock didn't work on mine which made parking on hills interesting. Told the course starter and he didn't care. To summarize: Overall decent course, but crummy service.

Mac is definitely the best course around. It was in pretty bad shape for a while but they have done a great job lately getting her back into shape.

Kids took spring break camp & got golf clubs & case for attending-Wow! Took away one star cuz they should confer with a teacher & figure out how to make it more fun. It was a little lackluster for the kiddos. Need more games, contests, clever tricks to make it more fun.

Macdonald is definately the best public course in the area. One of the best courses overall. Big trees, lots of water, lots of contour, it's a beautiful place. It's in great shape now too! This grand old course is a Wichita icon for sure.

Former country club so the courses design is awesome. The grass however feels like a city-owned course. Still though, it's probably my third favorite course in the city

McDonald is a fun course, although not necessarily the best or most difficult in Wichita. The Fairways are generally not particularly long, although there is a good mix of trees, water, and sand traps to keep things interesting. While not an incredibly challenging course, there are several surprisingly difficult par 3s, namely the 9th and 12th and 17th holes, all of which include shots from elevation over water. These holes, as well as the general layout of the course, lends itself to being a course that rewards good shot placement and club selection more than pure power and distance.

BEST COURSE IN TOWN. ONE OF THE BETTER ONES I HAVE PLAYED ACROSS USA. ORIGINAL LAYOUT FOR WICHITA COUNTRY CLUB BACK IN THE 50'S. NICE CONTOUR. LOT'S OF MATURE TREES WITH PONDS AND CREEKS WEAVING AROUND FAIRWAYS AND GREENS. FLAGSHIP WICHITA MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE. A MUST PLAY.

I play the city courses on the senior pass, and have found the staff at all courses friendly and this is especially true for MacDonald I played there last week and Tom was friendly as were all.the staff. My hats to all for having to deal with us would be pro's.
