We had our wedding reception here recently, and honestly I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The team at Old Hickory Golf Club is truly amazing. The attention to detail when setting up the decor just blew me away. Michelle was really incredible - so patient, flexible, super organized, and accommodating of all our requests, even at the last minute she learned that my mom and sister were vegan and designed a special dinner just for them! We've received so many compliments from our guests saying that the food was really out of this world especially the coconut shrimp and lamb lollipops). Robin was also fantastic! She got us drinks the entire night ;) and made sure that we enjoyed ourselves. My husband and I would give Old Hickory 10 stars if we could, and would gladly pick this venue again for any other event. To Michelle and the team - you all were truly phenomenal, thank you so much for your help on this important day, and thank you for making it the wedding party of our dreams :)

The course was in better than good shape, greens were the best I have played since Myrtle Beach. Fairways were good for this time of the year. Staff was pretty much business like with the exception of the lady in the pro shop. She was very helpful.

Overall a great golf experience! Pace of play can be a little much at times, however playing in the afternoon solves that issue for the most part. The course has a great layout with a mixture of shorter and longer holes with firm fast greens. Would recommend stopping by if you are in the Woodbridge area.

This is my friend groups go to spot for golf and the course USUALLY looks amazing. But this season..ouuff.. unfortunately whoever mixed up their fertilizer ratios messed up and burned the entire course. It looks so rough right now it’s a wee bit sad to see especially when you’ve seen it in completely opposite condition. At least the greens look mostly nice, they seem to have escaped the fert burn. They def need to lower the prices during this transition period of fixing it. It’s not worth the 100/80$ price they want right now and it sucks to say that bcuz we love this course so much. Go play Potomac shores for that same price rn and it’s flawless carpet until this one recovers.

Someone needs to be commended for the current conditions of this course! Admittedly, recently it has not been up to par, but that is no longer the case. The more holes my wife and I played , the more impressed we were with our overall golf experience. The tee boxes and peripheral areas were mowed and manicured. There were no dead spots in the fairways which allows for a decent lie and approach shot to the pin. The greens were mowed, fast and true. My wife had 3 "one putts". The previously barren traps have been filled with new sand. We finished our round in approximately 3.5 hours! Standing on the tee boxes and viewing the course compared to the past few years was like night and day. The fairways were green and full. They were void of dead areas, weeds and high rough. We had an extremely fun round and will be playing here more often in the future. The entire staff should be complemented for bringing Old Hickory back to life! Congratulations.

Great staff, fun course, needs a little work here and there to match the greens keeping of Laurel Hills or Potomac Shores but you can tell they are working on it and I recommend adding to your Northern VA list of great courses. Its always less crowded than laurel hills , staff is way more friendly , course has some fun and interesting holes, so the overall experience is much better.

Such a wonderful place to have a wedding or any event. The bartenders and wait staff were superb. Classy. Elegant and down to earth. A beautiful setting with artifacts throughout the facility and you can see the beautiful golf course from the balcony. It was a cold rainy day but the portable fire place kept us warm. Planting of space to park and the bathrooms were spotless. Enjoyed the experience.

Placed in a fantastic location. The grounds are picturesque. Golfers can enjoying playing on the course. The bartenders are very creative and innovative with their drinks and the food is absolutely delicious.

Great layout, maintenance was a bit lacking for the cost. Greens are in great shape and rolling smooth. Lots of geese on the course (read goose poop) right now.

Amazing course. It’s clear the maintenance staff have been hard at work all Winter long as the course is looking great. The Pro Shop and on the course staff are super friendly and go out of their way to ensure the best experience for all. The bar and grill offer a wide variety of quality food and great beverages. Whether you’re playing, or just looking for good food and friendly atmosphere, the bar and grill are a great place to eat with friends and family any day of the week. This is a must play course in Northern, VA.

It's been over a year since I've been out to old Hickory golf course and it was unexpected experience I was very pleased with the shape of the fairways and the greens. I got on with a GolfNow Rate at reasonable price. It seems they have really Put a lot of work into the course. The traps need a lot of work but obviously in my opinion the greens and fairways are more important issues and I'm glad they addressed it. It's good to be in back and playing at old Hickory it's a nice challenging course at a reasonably good rate.

Our wedding at this venue was a dream come true. Since the day we met Michelle and took a tour of the venue we made our decision to have the wedding there. There were so many beautiful places to take pictures. Diane and Robyn were amazing and helpful staff members. They were hands on and were always ahead of the process. Diane was very helpful with the our photographer and made a lot of suggestions for the best photos spots. Although our bridesmaids room was really small and tight, my bridal team was still able to manage and we had everything we needed. We had 4 bridesmaids. Coordinating with our caterer and venue coordinator had its issues but in the end everything came together.

My daughter got married on the Old Hickory. One word... fantastic. Michelle is helpful, flexible, professional, knowledgeable, kind. The whole experience was very relax. Michelle had everything under control. The food pass our expectations. Delicious. Everybody that went to the venue said the place was beautiful and they commented the food was so good. Do not forget to order the coconut shrimp and the lamb. Just delicious.

Probably 3 1/2 stars. Tee boxes and fairways in good shape for the most part. And they FINALLY have sand in their bunkers. The greens on the front side have some bare spots that even require moving you ball to avoid an unpredictable roll sometimes. Otherwise very playable and always a challenging but fair layout

I’ve been playing this course since 2005. The layout is simply amazing as the course winds its way through the River Falls community in Woodbridge, VA. The fairways are beautiful and the greens are fast. Yes, they take “pace of play” serious. No one wants to wait on every shot. Golf at Old Hickory is meant to be played in 4 to 4.5 hours and NOT 5 to 5.5 hours. I also wish my fellow golfers would do their part by fixing their fairway divots, their ball marks on the greens and follow the cart rules of the day. I LOVE OLD HICKORY!!!

My Husband and I got married there on Saturday and when I tell you it was everything I dreamed, I truly mean it. Michelle has been so supportive the entire planning process and I never had a question go unanswered. Diane was amazing as well! She made sure Saturday went so smoothly. It was raining so the ceremony was moved from outside to the balcony which was a bit stressful to me, but like I said, it turned out perfectly. They made everything so beautiful and it was just a dream come true. I would 10/10 recommend this venue!

The course was ok. Went late in the year, so the greens were pretty ragged and the bunkers were awful, but that's to be expected anywhere in late November. For the price, you get a bucket of balls and a cart included, so can't complain about that. When things got backed up, the staff were good about moving other players along. I'd like to play here again in the spring/summer, but not in a rush to go back anytime soon.

Awesome layout and course design, but horrible conditions. Half the course is under renovation, including one of the greens so they have you putting on the fairway. It turns out, putting on the fairway was easier than dodging the divots on the greens. The course should be cheaper until they get get it repaired.

Other than being hassled by a poorly trained marshal,( we kept getting told to pick up our pace of play despite having a group in front of us that we had to wait for) had a good time, the course was in good condition. Pretty difficult as wayward shots are mostly not findable.

You will never find a better venue. Straightforward pricing (no hidden fees), professional throughout. The day of they took care of everything, even the things I didn't know I needed. They were fantastic. Diane and Michelle are the real deal. I got SO many compliments on the food and the wedding. The location was both convenient and beautiful. I want to get married again so O can hire them again.

Long course with tight fairways and well guarded greens. Usually a very nice Raspberry Trail course. Challenging and unforgiving if you're not familiar with the layout. But playable if you're not overly confident or too greedy. As of August 2018 some fairways and greens were not looking good. Not sure if it's disease or heat but it wasn't in great shape. I'm generally not a fan of courses with too many houses but this is still a pretty nice course. The staff are super nice.

This is a really fun track, but it's got two unfortunate things going for it. One is the janky driving range situation. You can't hit your long clubs, and it's really far from the clubhouse itself. The second is the conditions the course has been in all year. I know they're working on it, but it's bad. The bunkers are a wasteland. And you can't find a true roll on any of the greens. I hope to upgrade my review next year with the course in better condition.

We had the pleasure of working as photographers at Old Hickory Golf Club and we cannot say enough great things! The staff was amazing and super helpful in guiding us through a new city (we were destination photographers for this wedding). They were on top of their communication throughout the process and were prepared for the crazy weather turn we had. They treated us like family and we couldn't be more thankful. We look forward to the opportunity of working with them again and highly recommend!

Challenging design, both hilly and narrow. Five or six of the greens were in terrible condition. They had bare spots and gouges. There are places on some greens that are like trying to putt through a sea of giant divots. That's a shame because if the greens were better it would be a really nice, fun course to play.

Beautiful course. Polite staff. No golf etiquette being enforced at all. I haven't been able to get past hole 13 in the past 3 trips out. They allow groups of 5 and 6 golfers that apparently do not understand to let faster groups play through. So, the course is always backed up. And evidently it's ok for people to drive around and jump on wherever they please. Players seem to come from nowhere and jump in front of you..... It's a true shame because it is a GREAT course to play. Both fun and challenging.

This is a fun course if you play from the correct tees. Long distances from green to tee so be prepared if you're walking. The greens were burned and patchy but i think it's a result of the heat wave and excessive rain we've had. It's 4 stars if the greens are in good shape

Good morning. I had the opportunity to play 10-9-2016. I was extremely pleased not with just the golf course design, condition, and green conditions but with the extreme professionalism and friendliness of the staff and marshals. They truly made you feel comfortable before, during, and after the round. I was really impressed, after the amount of rain that fell, with the conditions of the course. The greens rolled so true. I just wish all golfers understood to repair their marks on the green. This is everywhere and seem to be a problem not just a OHGC issue. Lack of etiquette throughout US. People not being taught right before they pick up a club. Regardless if you want a great course to play for the money Old Hickory is the place and a place that will welcome you with a smile and open arms. Thank you

Tournament here every year now for I think 8 or 9 years... the course is always in great shape. The facilities, and amenities are always clean and easily accessible. Everyone is kind and professional. If you've ever played at a course that's chewed up, or the staff are unfriendly, kind of dickish, or overpriced then you will love going here.

The best course in PWC!!! The staff in the bar is awesome. Wonderful food and great selection of beer. The course is visually pleasing and is a challenge to all levels. Yes slow play happens because of golfers not playing the correct tee box or just not caring. A must play course.

Played here on 10 December for the 2nd time since last year. Not sure what happened but the course wasn’t in a good shape, especially the greens. Some were really bad. The rates were reasonable, friendly staff. I’ll give it a try next summer and hopefully it’ll be better.

I have been a member at Old Hickory for 11 years and if not for the crappy driving range I would have given the course a solid 5 rating. The course itself is always in good shape and very fun to play. Old Hickory is very challenging from the tees and the greens can be very tricky with tough pin placements. The biggest positive of Old Hickory is the staff. They have always been Incredible!! I have always felt like part of the Old Hickory family. I highly recommend you play at Old Hickory...you will enjoy your day and know that you have played one of the best public courses in Northern Virginia!!

Very good course. Many holes are beautiful, with streams, gullies, and ponds. Greens are in good shape. Only issue is that the range and range balls are not too good. But, overall, very good value.

We were there for a banquet and the staff was great. The place was beautiful inside and out. There were about a hundred and twinty people at the event and this place had plenty of parking and dining space. Large round tables that sat twelve people. The food was good and they had a bar.
