Played 18 holes on Jan. 2, a holiday. Because of the slow playing foursome in front of us the round took 5.5 hours. Management tried but it made no difference. The greens are slow and the course still has helicopters on several greens and tee boxes. The sand traps also have very little sand in them. If it was me I would do away with half the traps and use that sand to fill the remaining traps. The most annoying thing is the maintenance crew. They don’t work backwards so they only bother once and some just ride by you while you’re hitting.

Played here on a Sunday in September 2018 and I would visit again. As a bogie golfer I found playing from the blues challenging. The staff were friendly in the pro shop a well as snack bar / restaurant. I rented clubs and they gave me a nice set of Cleavands with 2 sleeves of Srixon balls which I thought was very nice. Some of the tee boxes were in tough shape but overall the course was in good shape, the rough is LONG and I found almost a dozen balls while looking for my shots that misses the fairway. I found the club house to be very nice even though as you pull up it doesn't look that impressive. All in all I liked my experience here. For the price, disappointed with the greens, tee boxes and no Marshall. The no Marshall made us have an over 5 hr. It has the potential to be a great course but needs some polish. COVID has nothing to do with the issues here. Many other courses in MD look great and all have Marshall’s to manage play.

Played at 2/16/22 by myself. Everything is great (great layout, hills and well maintained fairway) except that the green is little bit slow (winter time). Played at 12/17/22. The winter rate is great. The green is way too slow. Please mow or I will not come back until the spring 2023. Jian

For having record amounts of rain right before we got there, the course was in great shape. I don't know what the regular rate was but whatever we paid was a bargain. Beautiful and challenging enough course to make you work but not so much that you want to quit golf.

Unfortunately have to amend my previously 5 star review I gave a few years ago. This course has so much potential but continues to be mismanaged. 1. Last time I went it cost $119 - checking now it seems prices have returned to $99 which is a positive. However, for $119 range balls weren't even included which is embarrassing. My total bill for the round, range balls, and 1 white claw was $140 before even getting on the tee. 2. Pace of play - got out at 8 AM and somehow had the group in front of us played almost a 3 hour front 9. Saw the ranger on 5. Told him the guys in front of us were very slow. Did nothing. Saw him again on 9, asked him to please talk to the group in front of us, he continued to drive on backwards through the holes doing nothing. You can't expect people to pay 100-130, guarantee a 5+ hour round, and expect them to return. I love the layout of the course but changes need to be made to get people to return.

Course is in decent shape. Starter/marshal was terrible. Pace of play was absolutely insane (6 hours total and waiting on every single hole). Nothing was done to correct it. Greens look like people in Maryland never learned how to repair a ball mark. Lots of potential but need to make a couple of changes.

Took some business partners for a round and had a great time. Michael did a great job coordinating the round which included lunch, drinks and a closest to the pin competition. The course was beautiful (and challenging) and the staff was welcoming. I highly recommend.

Beautiful and challenging golf course in PG County right off of MD-301 South in the Beechwood community. Course has great contour and large rolling greens. If you're on the high handicap side, definitely try Silver or Red tees - you'll be glad you did!

To be fair the course is in great shape and it’s a cool layout. Pace had been an issue when I had played here before but decided to give it another chance. Today I had to leave after 9 holes because it had taken 3 hours. 5 hours for 18 holes is generally pretty egregious… this would have taken 6 if I had stayed. I don’t even know how that’s possible.

Tougher than I thought....The course is somewhat challenging but I must consider that this was my first time playing here. Winter golf on a 60 Degree day has me wanting to play here again. The fairways are in pretty good shape now and should be better once spring arrives. Can't wait!!! The staff was more than hospitable. I must say they were extremely welcoming.

Was not worth 85 dollar for cart path only to many hills and long walk the course fairway are great and the green are good , but the tee boxes suck and the guy at the pros hope atn10.00 on Sunday the 13 was very rude, it will be a while before income back it a shame because the place could be great little course. But as mention again will be a while before I return if I ever done. Also with the course be ing so close to the military base you could at least give us a discount

I'm surprised to see negative reviews of this course. Maybe it was in rougher shape a couple years ago, but I've played it twice in the past couple months and it's in very good condition now. Great layout, not long but challenges golfers with position play throughout. Pace of play has been pretty good, and the staff are very professional/helpful. Highly recommended.

So I played last Sunday, and it was nothing to write home about. The course layout was nice, but the condition was subpar for the price. $93.00. The carts need updated, the fairways need patched. Interestingly there was no divot mix on the carts. I guess it wouldn't have mattered anyways seeing it was cart path only. The beverage cart person didn't even start until we were through the front. They don't accept cash for purchases, but sure do for tips. All in all, your money is better spent elsewhere.

Pretty to look at but hard to play. Beautiful course with some of the most picturesque golf holes in the area! Conditions have greatly improved over the past 12 months. Very professional and courteous staff from the pro shop to the snack bar. The only drawback was having to keep the cart in the path for the entire round. I plan on on playing there again before the season ends.

Disappointed. First the cost. Despite the course’s website that indicated the cost of the round should be $52 with a cart, they charged $99 plus tax for a round of golf in February 2022. Second, the course condition was less than expected. Bunkers had mud.

Cart path only because of the rain. Course is in really good shape. Fairways looked great and greens were true. Front desk was friendly, bag guys were very helpful with personality, and the Marshall kept the round moving. Will definitely return.

I just recently returned to play after being out of the area for a few years. Its a hilly, challenging course off the back tees. Very pretty and well-desinged! Compared to other courses in the area LPGC has taken extra effort in the maintenance of the course through COVID. It's a must play when in the area!

Entire staff is so friendly, supportive and professional from the Pro Shop, Starter, Cart Girl and all of the maintenance crew. I love this course especially when you can ride 90 degrees to your ball. I've had the food here also, need to bring Wifey over for dinner.

Love golfing here. Greens and fairway always are beautiful. It’s a quality course that definitely has difficult holes, though there are a few that even the newest golfer would enjoy. If you’re in Maryland, this is a must play!

Lake Presidential was a nice track for a first visit. They are in recovery mode since losing their greens and fairways from my understanding. The course is in great shape and the newly aerated greens will be rolling quite fast as they fill in. They were cart path only today, but it was worth it. If I lived in the area, I would be a constant customer.

Beautiful course, there are a few little areas under transition - which they are working on with sod or some such - but all in all, one of the best around. Certainly the best I've ever played on a regular basis. Not sure comments about length - I get plenty of challenge from the blues and I drive it 260-280. The tips are 7100 I think. Plus There are so many different looks to keep you twisting. bad shots get punished pretty judiciously. #8 Par 5 hard to keep it on the fairway. Super friendly staff. Absolutely Love this course. Also Re: Older reviews - this course has been under Billy Casper management for last 2 years. From what I understand, old mgmt company not so great.. if you look - everything from within the past year or so is very positive. I played once and Joined as a member; it's that good. Plus huge bonus - grass driving range! one of the few in the area.. mats don't tell you when you're hitting fat..... 5 Start golf experience.

Pro's......Nice layout, nice clubhouse, friendly staff and a grass range. Con's........round was way too long.....over 5 hours. A group of 22 went off in front of us and the starter didn't realize they all teed off together!! Yes...all 22 watched everyone tee off on the first hole. That put us 25 minutes behind right out of the gate!! The course was not in great shape. Although we hadn't had any rain for about a week the course was extremely wet in certain areas and there were 6 inch weeds growing in the fairways. Greens were average....some good some horrible. They have a grill between 9 and 10 which is nice but when we got there, they had no water, no beer and the hot dogs had just don on the grill....10 minute wait if we wanted one. The only reason we will go back is because the GM gave us a free round due to the fact we had to play behind a group of idiots. Queenstown Lakes is $74 and a 10X's better course!!

A very very difficult course with one of my favorite layouts of all time, I still think that Lake Presidential is one of the most underrated golf courses in the DC Metropolitan Area. The good news about that is obviously that the course is less crowded as result. I would highly recommend this course though not without a dose of caution: it is a tough eighteen!

Course was sold in May. Currently, the course is in mediocre shape. Golfers do not repair ball marks nor do they replace their divots. Pace of play on Monday and Thursday needs to be improved, taking over 5 hours is too long

Good layout. Not good conditions. Many dead areas on the greens and the tee boxes are a disaster. Definitely not worth the $100 they’re charging on the weekends. Guess I’ll try again in a few years.

I live in the BeechTree neighborhood so this is actually my "home golf course". The staff is great! The Clubhouse food is really good (and reasonably priced). Plus, the drink selection is better than most clubhouses that I've been to. The course itself is in immaculate shape now; boxes, fairways & greens. The groundskeepers keep the layout challenging with different pin & tee locations every day. My only knock is: you don't see Rangers too often, but even when you do, they aren't hard-nosed enough to rush a slow group along... they're more like "Officer Friendly's". They drive by and they're apologetic if you're having a long round. They usually identify the culprits, but their resolution is that they gave them helpful hints on how to be "ready golfers". They need to be making them skip holes to get back in position. I've only had a few looooong rounds, and it's usually because of one group. Nobody particularly likes seeing the Ranger, but they should be throwing their weight around.

Good public golf course experience! Yes while it's expensive, it's worth the cost: friendly pro shop staff, knowledgeable PGA pros, and fun layout. It is not a municipal course! I believe that the better courses are indeed expensive; how else to discourage cheap/weak golfers and their negative outlooks

This is a nice place. Spoke with a hostess the Week of Feb 27, 2017, and she confirmed the clubhouse is undergoing a renovation. Anxious to see what's in store. The interior is very nice, and perhaps what one would expect from a country club in a gorgeous residential development.

Very nice course with very helpful and friendly golf staff. Not sure why there was no water on the course and why the cart girl left at two with people on the course. Service in the restaurant was slow and very unorganized. Food was ok. After the round sat at the bar a few minutes then told it was closed. Should have been a sign stating it closed at 730. People still on the course, wonder why they closed.

While this is a nice golf course, this is not a $75-$90 golf course, which is what they charge. For that kind of money, I expect a GPS golf cart along with an impecable course. I generally judge a golf course based on value. For me, the price doesn't match the experience. Until the price comes down, save your money.

it's a beautiful course you never seem to notice the houses the tee boxes and greens are in great shape, one particular whole you have to drive over a mile after you hit your shot which is very impressive I've never done that for as long as I've played golf, the staff is professional oh, the staff is professional and helpful and very efficient and very efficient they also have a very nice practice range

Lake Prez is in it’s Very Best condition since 2010-2011 !!!! The greens are great ,not a blemish on the fairways... I played Today!!!! Get over there. I have not seen the golf course in this great shape in many many years ... When I go back on Sunday (Father’s Day) I’m wearing my Footjoy Premier leather shoes, (Olscool) baby !!! Please always work with a sharp and experienced Realtor to result in saving YOU money, knows the process, and gets you a lower interest rate, no points and closing help :).

The course is challenging and has its flaws but the only reason I come back is for my girl Natalie! She is one of if not the best cart girl around, prompt, remembers my order from months ago and I have seen her turn an order of Gatorade into a 6-pack of bud light. She said she may not stay the summer so to management, find a way to keep her..I bring my future clients here when she works and I swear she seals the deal. NATALIE DONT LEAVE.

Overall great course. Just now taking golf seriously so we're not the fastest. Nobody yelled at us to hurry up, we let people play before us if they were fast. Nice forgiving fairways
