Reviews of 1757 Golf Club
Had daughter's wedding here. Wonderful facility and staff. Myung San was very helpful in staging and decorations suggestions. Cocktail apps were amazing. Reception dinner not as good. Not for really large groups. Golfers a problem for some photo opportunities. Definitely recommend. I'd give 4.75 stars if i could.
First time playing here...great practice facilities. Course was in great shape. Greens were fast and just like most courses, people don't repair their ball marks.
Has one of the best practice facilities of any course in NOVA. Countless driving range stalls allow for practice in all weather conditions, several short game areas and a multi-tiered drive shack as well. The clubhouse has a nice restaurant and fully stocked pro shop.
The course itself does get a lot of play - but with that considered was still in good condition. Be careful as there is water on almost every hole so bring extra golf balls.
1757 Golf Club is am amazing wedding venue! I photographed a wedding there a few months ago and really loved all the photo opportunities the location provided. Here are just a few pictures from the gorgeous day!
This course is remarkable! Love it. Fun, well maintained....incredible driving range.
Let me start by saying I may love tapenade more than golf, but some places don’t make you choose! Plus for all those people who aren’t into olives, let me tell you about the cauliflower!!!
Interesting course for target golf. Very strange hole locations. Thank goodness I was playing with someone who knew where the next tee was located.
Beyond one of my favorite of my 101 courses around the US during my adventure on the USTOUR101. This course has enough water for anyone to loose a few golf balls! It’s challenging yet definitely a track that I’ll play again in the near future! Everything about this course is immaculate. The staff was a joy to experience and very accommodating! Thanks again for the opportunity to play this amazing golf course!
1757 and Rachel were amazing! The venue was beautiful, both for the ceremony and reception and portraits on the golf course. Throughout the planning process Rachel was incredibly helpful and responsive. She answered all my questions in a timely manner. The day of Rachel and her staff were amazing- they set up everything beautifully and made sure everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend 1757!
Absolutely gorgeous, had a great time at this venue. Perfect place to hold any celebratory event.
We had burgers in the banquet hall and some of the buns had mold on them. Gross! Otherwise, everything else was great.
Fun but hard course. Huge driving range. Update: started lessons here and Adam is a great teacher. The lesson facility is very nice. Love using trackman.
Some of the best food I've ever had at at a golf course
1757 is a shot makers course that will eat your lunch if you get out of position. Fairways and greens have been in decent shape all summer.
Zac from Pro Shop is always great. Always upbeat and helpful when he can even as a busy bee. I have been coming here for 6 months and at the range late hours. He made 1757 like a home instead of a corporate office for novice and veteran golfers. Quick and efficient.
I didn't remember where I lost my membership card but seeing me at the range, he told me someone found it and he dropped his tasks at hand to go grab my card at the counter, which was carefully wrapped.
Old fashioned customer service that you don't see a lot elsewhere these days. Some earlier days in summer I was here but felt less friendly. But maybe I was too new.
All the golfer communities/clubs here are nice and helpful. Great course for junior golfers to challenge themselves. Member practice areas are alway great for juniors too.
Very beautiful landscape. Excellent service from staff. Attended my cousin's wedding. I was impressed!!
My now husband and I just had our wedding here in late May and it was the best decision! Kelsey and Rachel are the absolute best!!! They respond to emails promptly, accommodate any feasible request, and make sure everything goes smoothly the weeks leading up to the big day and on the big day. Rachel set up our dream wedding space and was awesome all night long.
The space itself it GREAT! There is a separate area for cocktail hour, the reception room has a lot of space but doesn't feel like a ballroom. They have complimentary linens and centerpieces. The room itself does not need a lot of decorations because it is so beautiful. We opened up the driving range which was a HUGE hit at the wedding and 1757 provided us with a cornhole set! In addition, there is a beautiful bridal suite that our makeup and hair artists said were one of the best they have ever seen!
The combination of the venue, staff, and Rachel made our wedding an absolute dream!
It's unfortunate that this course looks to be going down hill. It's in a great location and the way the course flows is fantastic! The conditions are deteriorating and the staff is less than pleasant at times (whenever it's busy). It's an absolute shame because this use to a premier golf club and now I avoid it.
I will breakdown the review into 3 parts covering the following areas: the venue, the services, and Rachel (the wedding coordinator and events manager).
The venue was beautiful and a great location for our wedding. It was close the Dulles International Airport which made it convenient for our guests flying into town. The parking at 1757 Golf Club was ample and convenient for our guests. The location is off main roads with a stoplight at its entrance which made the drive very easy. The grounds were clean and well maintained in the front and the back. The back patio was a beautiful location to have the ceremony and to have guests get some fresh air, move around, and take the party outdoors. They had nice Christmas style lighting as well as firepits. The venue itself is isolated from the rest of the golf club which made it feel private, with its own bathrooms, cocktail/bar room, entrance, and reception area. The reception area had high ceilings and windows which made it feel large and open.
The services were excellent. Our family is very decerning about food, and we received many outstanding feedback about our selections. Between the cocktail hor d'oeuvres and the dinner entrees, our guests loved them. We would recommend trying the lamb and penne pesto if possible. The wait staff was professional and courteous, before, during, and after the wedding. They kept drinks full, and tables clean all throughout the night. We recommend renting the golf ranges which is located right by the back patio. This kept our guests happy and provided for some fun moments.
Rachel was outstanding. She was our point of contact throughout the wedding. She was very professional and responsive, answering any and all of our questions. She worked with us to accommodate special requests and provided solutions that helped our families have fun and stay safe for Covid. She was there from the beginning to the end. She made it very easy for us to envision our wedding and bring it to life. Our wedding had a lot small item details to be placed on each guest table, and Rachel and her team were able to stay organized and place everything in the exact spot we envisioned them to be in. She was a pleasure to work with and are very thankful for everything above that helped make our wedding day beautiful, delicious, seamless, and special. Thank you!
I am a COVID bride (originally Oct. 2020, now Sept. 2021) and have loved working with 1757 as our venue. Rachel and Kelsey were so thoughtful, keeping us in the loop with COVID restrictions in 2020. When we made the difficult decision to postpone, their team made it so easy to switch to a new date.
Rachel is extremely detail-oriented, which is so helpful for a bride!! I am used to planning my own events and was definitely nervous to not be the one behind the scenes. She took all of our ideas and vision and made everything so beautiful - it exceeded my expectations and dreams.
I was so nervous the day of - I even asked Rachel if any bride had ever passed out before walking down the aisle - and she made me feel so calm before we began. My husband and I were able to have our own time at the sweetheart table, doing first looks around the golf course, and spending time as husband and wife. We were able to fully enjoy the reception, as Rachel had everything taken care of - bouquet toss, cake cutting, speeches, etc.
Another bonus was the driving range - if it is in your budget to rent the range during the reception, do it!! We loved giving this to our guests and heard they really enjoyed it as well.
The food at 1757 was great - we did tuna, kabobs, skewers for appetizers and the steak and salmon for dinner. I never heard anything less than "amazing" for the meals.
I loved working with Rachel, Kelsey, and everyone at 1757. Thank you so much for making our dreams come true!
The golf course can be challenging. It is a placement course.
The practice facilities are always full and can be difficult to social distance there. In addition, I am not a fan of paying an additional fee to use their chipping facilities.
The staff have always been pleasant and courteous. I cannot speak for their teaching staff.
My family and I go here often and enjoy our time. They are not an uptight golf club and I appreciate that on the many occasions that I’ve worn whatever I could fit while pregnant or dressed comfortable to deal with the kids. The staff is always sweet and they even take representation of diverse golfers and guests seriously, you’ll see all ages, races and genders playing here which is important. My fiancé Josh Jackson who is Japanese and Black has even received a tremendous amount of support, respect and a wonderful place to practice with high tech technology for his professional golf tournaments and kind drive competitions. We do not have 1 bad thing to say about 1757, even their course is beautiful with a challenge.
This was a golf only visit on 3/6/18. Staff was polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. Rental clubs ready when we arrived and were in very good condition. Starter was very helpful and welcoming. Course conditions were pretty average. Weather was cool and sunny with light breeze. Lots of divots unfilled and greens were still in winter type conditions. Interesting and tough layout. Value to price ratio a bit above average.
Driving Range has both covered and open lanes. Cost for a large basket of balls is reasonable. Except for booked events there are always tees available.
Clubhouse personnel are great.. very helpful and friendly!
Amazing facility, top quality staff who really care,
I was there for a wedding, no golf. I didn't have any issues, staff was nice. I thought everything went well and it was a nice place.
For golfers who like a challenge, a great range experience and water to the right on 14 out of 18 holes, this is your course. It is a nice track and you leave feeling like you should have shot 3 to 5 strokes better, however that slight push or fade that would have still got you birdie or par now has you fighting for bogey.
I suggest this course as a must play and then a must play again!
Had a great time. Server staff was wonderful!
Gorgeous wedding here! Staff and food were excellent! Barmaid perfect!
Beautiful course to play on and a spectacular sunset viewing location! It's a 10✨💯 to me😎 …
Really tough course. Great training facility. Really challenging layout from the tips. With easier options closer to the pin. Greens were very quick. The course was in awesome shape for as much play as it gets. Most of the other courses in the area are divoted and in bad shape but this one still plays like its early season.
Our son has been playing golf for past few years. They have great coaches both in group setting and private. Our local Dominion high school did an fundraiser event. The staff and everyone at 1757 Golf Club went above and beyond to facilitate our event.
This place is awesome! Can’t believe it’s public! Very well managed, courses are well maintained and they are challenging. They also have a double deck driving range so you can warm up before hand! If I lived closer, I would become a member and play here much more often. It’s difficult to get a tee time though so plan ahead!
Nice course but for these prices they should put some sand in their bunkers. It's no fun hitting bunker shots with one inch of sand and hard-pan clay underneath. The perfect combination for skilled bunker shots!
Practice facility is large, but the lack of access to grass is disappointing. They either want you to pre-load $1,000 onto a range key or become a full member to access grass. Considering they have two large areas of grass on the left and right sides of the range, it's stingy for a club that busy. Otherwise, the staff has always been pleasant and the range balls are decent. Mats are in good shape, not great. If you go during peak hours on weekends prepare to maybe wait a bit to get a stall. Putting green is large and is usually in good shape.
Great driving range. They have some modern swing-examining tech too. Fun summer golf camp for kids. The happy hour for adults is nice, too. Good employer of local teens. Give it a try!
This is hands down the best facility that I have seen. The driving range is terrific and if you join and become an annual member you can have access to the grass practice facility which provides all possible short and mid range practice opportunities. The course is relatively short but very challenging, and I play it regularly and never get board with it. The staff is terrific; the starters, the pros, the instructors, the cafe and restaurant staff, all make your feel very special. I would highly recommend it!
Very reasonably priced place to golf. Definitely would recommend.
Great food, great service and great atmosphere. We had hoped to make it to their beer dinner but they were sold out. Instead the dining room manager sat us outside and took care of our drinks for us. The food is simple, sandwiches, pastas, burgers, but all very well made and with quality ingredients. I will definitely be back for more.
Tight fairways, dog legs, water, deep bunkers, brush and thick rough, small island greens for 250 yard par 3s. I lose several balls playing a round here. There is noise from the highway and airport. Power transmission lines buzz overhead. There some holes that require a 5 minute cart ride to get to. When you play here, people complain about a lot (especially when they start losing balls).
The staff are friendly and that goes a long way. The driving range and restaurant are great. The course is maintained nicely. If you can hit accurate shots and don't get greedy, it is pretty course to play. All the danger and design shenanigans are visible from the tee.
So depending on who you are, who you're playing with, and how much you paid... 1757 can be a 3-star or 4-star experience.
One of my favorite courses in the DC area, very unique to the DC area with all the water hazards - I appreciate the course addressing some of my group's concerns as the course deals with an extensive amount of rain; and we look forward to going back sometime soon.
One of the best public courses around. For me this course was incredibly hard due to the water on almost every hole. Good luck.
We were here for a wedding. The view was beautiful. The fall foliage was part of the charm. There was ample room for dining and dancing. Service was good, although dessert was served without utensils. A wonderful time was had by all.
Nice course. Kept up well. Played company tournament there. It was a rainy day, and the course held up. Staff was friendly and pleasant to interact with. Course had lots of water, but isn't overly difficult for the occasional violet. 6th hole kind of nuts, though. Not a dogleg so much as a right angle. Had a great time!
I enjoyed the launchbox but this is NOT a good thing to do on a cold day. I was hoping to work on my swing even though it was 30 degrees out but there was only one extremely small heater in the room so I may as well have golfed outside. The tech was cool but I wish it was described better online so I did not go when it was so cold.
Professional and friendly staff. The Clubhouse is nice and clean most especially the restrooms. The course is beautiful and well kept and the range balls are New and clean. Bringing in a guest to play the course would be a memorable one. A lot of lost balls to bring home.
Rented the launchbox for an hour on Fourth of July the day before. The electronics didn't work really at all, but the space in the tee box, unlimited golf balls, shaded from the 90+ degree sun was great for the family. If the electronics had cooperated it would have been 5 star, but still was a great time that didn't feel crowded or rushed, like so many similar driving ranges. Thanks for a great holiday experience!
Tough course, challenging for every level. Lots of water. Keep it in the fairway. Course is well maintained, a bit spread out.
Nice staff. Well kept greens.
Facility is great, but rated 3 stars for the overly difficult course layout.
The course is overly difficult for the average player. Many holes don't have landing areas that leave you a reasonable shot on green ...courses can be difficult but as long as they are scenic and fun one can still enjoy the challenge. I just found this course to be hard without a ton of fun.
Have only been to play in the new Launchbox. It was a lot of fun! It is like being on TV watching how the pros hit off their tee shots. They also have games to play similar to top golf, but it is all virtual. It will give markers for reference but you have to judge it best through the screen (it will give distances). Definitely want to head back to play that again and also check out the course
Their salmon salad are delicious and great portion. That's my go-to... but the other dishes didn't disappoint as well, so far the food has been great! Atmosphere is great as well if you want a quaint place to chat with friends.
I only did the front nine, as we got rained out on the back. The course looks nice, the greens had just been aerated because it is still early in the season. The staff was very friendly. I thought the food in the restaurant was good too.
Great practice range. Balls are in good condition and the matts offer simulated fairway grass and tees. It’s a little $$ but a good experience.
4 stars for the course and 1 additional star for the really great facilities. Golf academy, driving, chipping and putting practice areas, first class clubhouse, etc. We got senior rate of only $46 on a Thursday. Course is in excellent shape and has alot of water. It is a bit above average difficulty.
I only have a limited experience with them as I'm not a member. The pro shop is quite nice though and I plan to go to do lessons maybe I'll update after that experience.
A number of us moved our memberships from another course to 1757 two years ago - an excellent choice. 1757 has one of the best practice facilities I have ever used. Besides a large number of mats on the range, annual members have access to grass practice areas, as well as two practice greens for short iron approach shots. The staff is not only remarkably supportive and very friendly, but also highly professional, towards the golfing public. The course itself is a challenge. Some consider it a short course, but it is tight, requiring the golfer to practice accurate shot making. Considering the amount of daily activity, the grounds crew does an amazing job of keeping the course in consistent very good to excellent playing condition. The restaurant, bar and cafe are a pleasure to visit; great food, friendly staff, and good prices.
The course can be difficult, which is a nice change after playing some of the easier courses in the area. The practice facility is phenomenal and Dave Ahart and Kyle Backers will go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Overall, it's a great course to play, practice, or even just to hang out and have a couple beers.
Great driving range! Affordable and the facilities are fantastic! Also, if you are looking for golf lessons Roger Hatcher is a great instructor.
Played here 4 times this year and course is in great shape. Greens are a bit slower than i thought but well maintained. Best part of this place - Tour fitting studio. Roger fit me with a set of Titleist irons and did a remarkable job. First round with the new set = 80 (2 over on the first nine). Irons were fit extremely well and Roger is a very experienced pro/fitter to get the job done right the first time. I recommend a fitting here if you are ever in the market for a new set/adjustment.
Booked a couple of booths at the LaunchBox for a company sponsored outing, price was great compared to other competitors who wanted 5x as much. Its a really nice setup with heaters, blankets and a small serving room for food and drinks. The service was excellent, the balls don’t automatically replenish themselves like TopGolf but the attendants kept the bins full. I would book this place again.
The course was in excellent condition and, as most reviewers state, the driving range is superior. The course is a bit quirky with most holes left - to - right but it is a fun course to play. Can be a bit slow sometimes as water comes into play on many holes. Higher handicap players may find it a bit challenging.
Weekday rates are in line with other high-end facilities. Weekend rates a bit steep.
Have enjoyed my experiences at 1757.
I have mixed thoughts after playing here on 7/22/17. I thought the facilities, course conditions, and price were all very good for this area. It felt like the extra cost over other public courses was justified. The course itself however, is just not for me. With water on nearly ever hole, tall grass just off fairways and greens, and lots of forced carries, I simply did not enjoy myself. I don't expect every hole to be a pushover, and I welcome a challenge; but that being said a 12 handicapper doesn't want to lose 6-7 balls of the course of a round. I could see myself coming back for the practice facilities, but almost certainly not for another round.
Bit pricey but great course. Very well run and maintained. Fast greens. Water and bunkers and trees. Nice carts. Good practice facilities. Friendly staff. Play is a bit slow. Nice restaurant and snack bar.
Nice course, fantastic driving range and practice areas. Learning Academy is staffed with PGA teaching professionals that are a pleasure to work with. Haven't tried out their club fitting services, but I see lots of people getting adjustments and regripping.
The course is in great condition the starter at the first tea was wonderful however, there's a guy a starter named Walt, ... I arrived early at the golf course because I wanted to set up my golf cart however he would not allow me to have the cart until 10 minutes before the tee time oh, he had no clue or desire to meet my requirements his rule was steadfast and it would not change, and I don't really think he's doing anything good for the company, what's the difference in 10 minutes I need a cart I need to get set up so I can go golf he would not give me my cart I was trying to socially Distance by using the far driving range but there was no changing his rule not a good rule either why do I arrive 30 minutes early and have to wait to get my golf cart ridiculous
Always great for lunch. The Board Room provides a great meeting venue.
Upscale atmosphere with competitive prices for range balls and green fees, given the area. Practice facility is superbly manicured. Worth the annual membership fee if you're serious about improving your game.
I flew in for a wedding. The staff was friendly to all of us, and the area for the wedding outside was beautiful! They even had set aside space for the driving range for guests while the wedding party took photos.
Love this place. Convenient and challenging course.
always love the venue!!!
great work with Mia (Myung?), the coordinator!
Helping Photographers :)
Amazing service in general! Beautiful driving range and great location, had a 6 hour layover at Dulles and it's only 9 minutes away. Great place, great service, great prices. Special thanks to Dave at the Pro-Shop.
Beautiful golf course and easy to access.
Nice course, but if you are not a fan of narrow fareways and lots of water, this may not be the place for you. The course was beautiful and in great shape.
A lot of people go here but there are LOTS of stalls for practice and the practice green here is terrific!
We had our holiday party here. The rooms were laid out comfortably. The staff were courteous and helpful. The food was excellent (steak, salmon, potatoes, asparagus, carrots.)
Best driving range in the area. Nice putting green and practice area with real grass tees if you so desire. Golf course penalizes anyone with a slice as water lurks to the right on many holes.
Love to golf? This is the perfect place to meet your golfing needs. You will enjoy the environment and all the amenities.
I am in my second year of membership as a seven-day member at 1757 golf club. I chose to join 1757 over a more private course for a number of reasons: its convenient location, its excellent facility, and the professionalism of its management and staff. It has provided me all the advantages of a private course at much lower cost. The management is proactive, efficient, and responsive; the practice facility is unmatched in expanse, ease of use, and flexibility; the course is well maintained; the restaurant facility offers gourmet quality meals; and the staff is very courteous and professional. I have also used the services of the instructional facility for satisfying results - highly talented instructors. I am very pleased with my choice of 1757 golf course.

The Santa brunch is fantastic. Food is great, best Santa in town and you don't have to wait in line. Other events ate also great. Went to a dueling piano before and was fantastic.
Catring
Best golf course in Loudoun county by far
Beautiful course. Easy on and off. Was able to fit in 9 in the afternoon. Those water hazards are not a righty's friend
Happy hour from 4 to 7 pm Thursday with live guitar/singer - good food, drinks, entertainment, service, beautiful view from patio of driving range. And low prices, 25% off appetizers, $3 drafts, ( inc AlphaOx IPA).
Went to a friend's wedding here. The staff was friendly the set up was beautiful and the food tasted good. Hosting an event might be worth it.
Had a club fitting with Roger Hatcher today. Great experience. Extremely professional. Highly recommend checking him out no matter what your skill level is! Thanks Rodger
Great way to spend an afternoon, whether you're a folder or not. Affordable prices for balls, as well as beer and food. Nice patio area with live music.
good location and good range service. i would love to have range service membership here. course is little bit tight for me but descent layout and location makes up for it.
It was a very nice evening , staff was professional and most helpful , food order was very goodJL
Really well maintained and challenging course. It makes up for its flatness and lack of elevation through course difficulty. One of my favorites in Loudoun County.
The course was nice and reasonably challenging. It is well maintained, and everyone who works there seems friendly and professional. It was a happy surprise.
This course was tougher than a lot of others I've experienced. I loved the golf. Was disappointed that the restaurant was closed. If there's a wedding, maybe make some accommodations outside for the afternoon crowd??
Affordable golf course. I would recommend experiencing the new launchpad virtual golf, very engaging. Staff was super helpful and pleasant.
I go during their happy hour ($2 draft beer) and do the driving range. Depending on the weather it can be pretty crowded. It is a really nice place.
Bull Run Financial team at the charity Golf outing today.
Short but good track. Get out of position and this course will hurt your feelings. Great practice facility and clubhouse. The food is surprisingly good.
It is a nice golf course with some challenging holes. It also have nice practice facilities.
Really helpful staff, great venue, but I was very disappointed to learn they didn't recycle. Lots of waste for such a beautiful place -- it's the only thing that gives me hesitation about going back.
Held company Christmas party here. It was an extremely nice venue. The food served was amazing. I hope we hold more gatherings here.
We love the beer dinners that they host. The food is a great compliment to the featured beers. It is always fun.
Went here for a wedding and the venue was gorgeous! I couldn't believe it! Situated on a beautiful golf course that is very well maintained!
Had a great trackman golf lesson. Very well set up. Lot of good information to build upon.
Attended a wonderful wedding there. Highly recommend it ☺️
Love this venue! Staff is always friendly and helpful..... they just need to leave plates on the table while people are eating from them!!! Literally had my plate taken mid fork to mouth!!!!
Top notch course that has a lot of golfing traffic, which affects the number of divits on the course. Great experience and I will be back to play.
Granddaughter had wedding brunch there for bridal party. The waitress was fantastic!
Very nice clubhouse and golf course. Relatively short course but fairly challenging and requires that you shape the ball both left-right and right-left.
Target golf course, bring extra balls. Easy to do business with. Good deal on the five star membership.
good golf club, friendly staff
Very friendly atmosphere. Best practice facility in the area. Course isn’t long but very challenging.
The BEST GOLF CLUB FITTING PLACE IN THE MIDDLE ATLANTIC AREA 👌 …
The course, while challenging, is in excellent condition. Helpful and friendly staff make is a nice place to play a round.
Nice course. Exceeded my ability a bit. Great place to get a round in on your way out of town with easy access to IAD
Great golf course and amazing people working always a smile and courteous attention
Beautiful place for many different activities.
Short and tight with some challenging holes. Excellent, true greens. The range is the best in the DC area, hands down.
The course is okay. I don't think it's not worth the price tag. Also, those powerline posts are a huge eye pollution.
Was in decent shape overall, not worth full price, some greens have plastic sticking up around fringe.
I've never played here, but been to the restaurant and also as an event venue. Nice place with good food.
Great place to play some golf, but a little pricey!
Course was nice. Food was not great
Facilities we're clean and well maintained. Staff was professional. Equipment was top of the line.
Challenging but very well maintained. If you can score here you can score anywhere in the dmv.
Great spot for a wedding. Friendly and professional staff. I look forward to coming back again soon.
Great course and grill. Still stacking tee times, so expect a 4:30+ round on weekends.
I play here 3 to 5 times a week. Course is in great shape.
One of the best in the area. Very challenging water in play on 14 of 18 holes.
This club hosted my wedding and they did a fantastic job. I still have people telling me about how much fun they had years later.
Nice place for practice. Very different, families can hang out and practice while ordering food/ beverages
Love the course layout because it is demanding but fair. Practice facility is the best around.
This place is great for golf lessons, but the golf course could use a bit of work.
