Sewells Point Golf Course never disappoints. Even on a dreary day the staff is still cheery and friendly. The course is fairly well maintained. The pro shop is always well stocked. They are military/veteran friendly.

Very nice public course for the price. Pretty well maintained all year around. Actually has a nice short range practice area in addition to a range. They made the most of the space they had with this course, each hole has it's own wrinkle.

I was beyond impressed today with my round. I hadn’t played this course in probably 8 years. Certainly not since it went fully public. I do not remember it being anywhere near this well maintained. The greens were immaculate, the fairways were lush and gasp…the bunkers had sand in them. If I had to nitpick I’d call out the riding rate of $52 compared to $34 to walk. That said, it’s nice to be able to walk at any time so there’s that. Tremendous work on the course guys. It surely won’t take me 8 years to come back this time.

My home course in Norfolk, great go to for military or retired military and also open to the public as well for a good price. After 3pm they do twilight green fees. Great for the value. Plays well.

Best greens in tidewater. Always in great shape. Clubhouse could be a little friendlier. Price's slightly high but not bad for the condition of course.

Good golf course. The range is conveniently located next to the lot. Only drawback about the range is no woods. The course itself is maintained well, easily walkable and a challenge to play. Prices are better than average for the location. Recommend if in the area.

My daughter has been taking lessons from Coach Dozier for 9 years, and she is only 14 years old! To say Coach Tom Dozier is an excellent teacher and friend is an understatement! He is a true professional! My son worked at Sewell’s for 3 years and could not say enough about what a wonderful boss Tom is and how hard he works to keep the course in great shape. Shaylee at the front desk is an absolute sweetheart and “golf smart,” too. We are blessed to have Sewell’s Point in Hampton Roads! Praise be to God!

Nice military golf course. Convenient that access appears accessible to public. Would probably be a good venue for a retirement ceremony (unless you need handicap accessible)

Played a tournament here the other day. It's a fun coarse. Not the most challenging but the greens were in good shape and the round was very fun. I would say I probably have played this before but don't remember it. I would go back.

I really loved the course. I was in love with the greens. They were kept in wonderful condition. The course was gorgeous. Thanks to the staff for keeping the course in such good condition.

I don't remember ever playing here but I had a great time. The course was very fun, good shape also. It was a best ball so I am not sure how many strokes over 100 I would have been on my own. I would play again.

Omg one of the best courses on this side of the tunnels. Only played nine but was immediately impressed with the way the 1st tee box looked all the way to the clubhouse. Definitely has country club vibes. If im ever back this way I will definitely return.

Had received a hawk that was entangled in the golf netting 2 wks ago. Was able to bring him back and release him back away his territory. Everyone there was very nice and helpful and glad to have the bird back!!

The course is in excellent condition. The major flaw is that they have removed the free water fountains from the golf course so you must buy drinks from their cafe. At 96 Degrees on the golf course I question their economic decision over safety. No one has ever caught covid-19 from an outdoor water fountain.

Golf course in great shape. Greens were awesome and rolled true. Excellent job done by the greenkeeper and the staff. Keep up the great work. Played the course on Sept 24th.

This course is great for golfers of all skill levels, beginners included. No houses or anything to worry about. Fairways are wide in most places. Best part is that this course drains very well. It can rain the day before and there's not much standing water the next day. The course is also in good condition as well. Love playing here. Another good point is that it is very affordable. Right now, weekday twilight rate for walking 18 is $24, and riding is $2 more. Can't beat that!

This course is the best example of a public golf course in the hampton roads area. Great staff, course is in very very reasonable shape (great greens), and its a classic donald ross layout. And the people u get paired with are always interesting and know how to play ready golf.

Very well kept course. The play is fair and open to any and all. Price is great and the grounds are kept very well. The hole sare fun to play and not too difficult a course. A must do again. Came with a group of 4 to play spent the day drinking and golfing.

Awesome grounds, well maintained and impressive. Have yet to get in a full round as I am new to Golf on an experience level. Lessons with Tom are impeccable, Im super excited to get through my 5 lessons. 1 down 4 to go. Not my first course so again grounds are immaculate. Cant wait to go through the entire course....

Sewells point is awesome. Great prices for active duty at the twilight hour. Signs for that said 1500 but we got the prices starting time at 1300. Course is really well maintained and good carts. Definitely recommend

Although I was just here to use the driving range, the Pro shop is nice and staff was friendly and dining was good as well. Driving range was decent. No woods though, short length range so only hybrid and irons allowed.

This is a nice golf course that you should check out the greens are immaculate the course has some challenges and some benefits it will challenge your skills plus you'll enjoy the time there the breakfast outsiders come there to eat breakfast you might see a MP military police if they eat there you know what's good

The course is in great shape ...greens roll true...the rough is just high enough to hide the ball. The snack bar food is great and very cheap so get there early if you want to grab a bite to eat.

Today was a very tough day to play. The gusting wind may play difficult. I found the greens very rough with weeds growing through the majority of them. This made for some extremely frustrating putting. I found the staff professional and very courteous. This was my first time playing here and I'm used to playing on courses that show the hole layout in or near the tee box.

In great condition for early summer. Challenging but fair design. Green were true with lots of character in pin locations. Very good value public course with a decent grill and pro shop.

Interesting course in good condition. Staff understand the COVID restrictions, are friendly and accommodating, unlike Heron Ridge! Will definitely play many more times.

This is a good course to play and the Army happily shares it with the community albeit at a higher price. There is nice club house and many electric carts for use if you are not walking the course. Myvgolfcskills are not the best, but the course was forgiving in its design.

Attended a function here from abroad. Nice lawn, well looked after. Great photo background. The reception area will benefit from disable access as stairs could be challenging for visitors with mobility.

Probably the course I played the most growing up in Norfolk. The poa annua grass on the greens add to the challenge. The course has changed over the years with the loss of trees making tee shots more open. A good tee shot on 11 makes the green reachable in 2.

It's a Donald Ross design, so it's a GREAT layout. It gets played a lot so the fairways are a little sparse but again it's a great round of golf that requires all shot making skills.

It's a little bit pricey for the condition, course is pretty good but the clubhouse and golf carts need to be looked at, and the restaurant was probably the least appealing, it took me a good amount of time to buy only a drink after they looked at me standing at the counter a few times

Nice place to swing the club! Being off of Terminal Blvd made it difficult to enter the premises, but doesn't take away from the course itself. Good food in the club house and has a great breakfast!

Great place my Brother and his Wife had their reception there, good food and nice spot. Need an elevator the DJ had a time lifting those speakers and the steps were a bit much for some of the older guest
