Reviews of Lynnhaven Golf Park
Had a very good time here today. Cheap prices, very simple and very fun. The Staff was very polite and helpful as well. Our only tiny complaint would be as the sun went down, the lighting on certain parts of the course wasn't on which made it a bit hard to see. Other than that, we had a blast and we will definitely be back.
Lynnhaven Golf Park has one mini golf course, batting cages, and a driving range. The mini golf course was okay, but some features needed repair. The batting cages and driving range were average. Everything was fine, but nothing was great or stood out. There are nicer places, but it wasn’t bad.
This a great place to start teaching your kids mini golf. We enjoyed it so much. They have 18 holes. 2 holes needed the flags and some fixing. It was $30 for the three of us. The scenery is nice; would be nice if it had some kind of shades because summer time gets hot. It has benches to sit around to wait for your partner and family. It has another area to play and practice in field. They have drinks to buy. It was very clean and very family friendly.
Very fun time with the family! I was born and raised in VB and have been going here ever since and even after I moved out of state. The grounds are well kept and staff is friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting.
This place was actually really cool! I took my kids to play some mini golf and noticed they also have a full driving range and batting cages as well. So I’ll definitely be back for a solo trip in the future. The park is very well kept and clean. And the attendant in the main office was very friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be back for a lazy Sunday!
I was here last summer for putt putt and none of the water holes worked. The greens were torn up and annoying. No flags to know where to hit the ball.
This summer is completely different! The owners must have read the comments! All the water holes work, the greens are nice. We are definitely coming back
Our family loves it here, such a fun and inventive golf course. The batting cages are a great warmup too, we had a lot of fun!
This place has great hours and the folks working are always helpful. The only thing is some stuff is starting to get run down. Since the prices are going up I would like to see some things get updated. Other than that great range
We had a great time. But when we asked to play a 2nd round they guy wanted us to pay full price. Even though all day was $8 dollars more. Sorry Lynnhaven you can do better.
Went for the batting cages: the pricing is okay, but the first two lanes I tried locked up after 1 or 2 pitches, and the pitches were super inconsistent (as in "fast" mode sometimes pitching super slow, and one of the lanes threw every third ball directly at my feet). The fellow at the counter was super nice and replaced the 2 coins from the lanes that quit.
Played the mini golf afterward, and the tunnel thing is neat and all, but that was the EASIEST mini golf round I've ever played, 2 of us got through every hole in about 20 minutes.
Very fun course and very fair pricing! I love that the holes get more complex as you go through the course
Nice place with lots to do. Family oriented. The person who waited on us was so helpful and nice!
Much better now that it’s under new ownership. They are cleaning it up and improving the putt putt
What a well maintained place. The new owners have invested good amount of money. Great place for family entertainment.
Spacious and readily available for any activity. Facilities have been updated and mini golf is fun and a bit challenging
Really fun mini-golf course! Some of the water area have a ton of rocks and it makes it hard to retrieve balls, but that still did not detract from the fun. Overall, a great experience!
This place is a great idea, for family, friends and basically anyone! My buddy and I went to the Drivers Range $10 for 60 balls each. There's a whole put put course and batting cages. Ice cream etc is over priced but if you have nothing to do I recommend this place!
Fast and Medium pitching machines constantly throw strikes, slow comes in a bit short at times. Staff was responsive to a maintenance issue and even offered me a free token when I didn't think my issue deserved one. The facility is well maintained. I look forward to heading back out with my 7-iron
Having just moved here from the premiere golf area of San Diego, I have been looking for a decent range... Let me say there are nicer places but this is ok. Having a covered range was nice. The balls are all old, cracked, and missing pieces. Other than that the facility was ok... for $15 for a medium bucket, I expected better balls. Overall might visit again.
The driving range is great for rainy weather, and the automatic tees are a game changer. Will be coming back.
Its currently under renovations, but the worste part about that is not really seeing where your golf ball is hit on the driving range. No biggie. Tee boxes are fully automatic, which is a nice feature. Putting courses look nice and batting cages are too. Good prices. Ill definately be back!
A very nice mini golf course. Well maintained even before the summer season kicks off. 6 batting cages offering different speeds of both baseballs and softballs. Didn't get a chance to check out the driving range but overall a great little fun park. Google maps led me to an entrance that didn't exist, the entrance is off Holland Rd.
The woman that helped my family and I was amazing, I wish more people were like her
today, the kitchen wasn't working properly, but they allowed us to being in food from outside. the experience at putt putt was fun!
Friendly staff, good facilities, I just wish everything was facing the opposite direction as you'll be staring directly into the sun whether golfing or batting, at least in the afternoon, maybe the morning isn't so bad. And the batting cages are a bit small for an adult to get some extension on their swing. I kept hitting the wall and I'm only 5'10"
Course was fun; could be better with some tidying up of the course like the giant plants that overhang some of the starting points for the holes. The water near hole 13 and 14 could be cleaned up too...looks a bit grim when you see golf balls and a putter just sitting in standing water.
It's a fun course...just a bit of sprucing up would make it 5 🌟
After reading the other reviews, I almost didn't go. But I figured that the prices looked good, and I could take a look around before even spending a cent. The parking was sufficient, though the parking lot has not been striped or paved in a while. I did not use the golf driving range, so I cannot speak to that. It was actually a busy day. I used the batting cage, and hit 400 pitches, and was there for about an hour and a half. During that time, the machines performed flawlessly. I only had to wait once for balls to load, mostly because I was hitting so many, and then the attendant was there in under a minute. The staff was polite and courteous. My family used the mini-golf, and while the "greens" were worn, and some of the water obstacles did not function, it was so very inexpensive. Bigger on value than ambiance, the park is simply showing its age overall.
Great price! Love the space for a get together! The mini golf course was very fun and a little challenging so totally worth the time spent! The vintage arcade games bring a nice feeling as well. Well maintained!
Coming back once the weather warms up more!
This place was fun for us but sadly it's not being kept up and is falling into disrepair. The trees were hanging over the paths at the edges and some of the tubes were damaged. It's a real shame because in its heyday it was fabulous. Some of the structures for the golf range are literally falling apart from rotten wood. I hope the owners will wake up and take care of the place if they want to keep it going.
The mini golf is a fun little course but is starting to get run down. The owners really need to take note. There is one hole that is so damaged the ball falls through the PVC pipe and you you have to fish it out. I give it 4 stars however because if they would just do some maintenance it would be a pretty nice place. Kind of seems like the place is at a pivotal point..
It was a great the put out cores were cool I kinda dropped the Baal in the water or sum it the holes but they got drains so I can probably get a hole in one but it was the best experience ever also the people are so nice and they got beer so go over and have a blast
Came for mini golf and had a fun time. The 18 hole mini golf is pretty new looking and alot of fun. They have alot to offer like batting cages and driving ranges too. Check them out, fun for everyone! I'd recommend!
7 bucks for 60 balls not bad. Better than that TOP Golf charging 45 for and HOUR. I just wanted to teach my son a little golf not have a party . The place is a little run down but cant beat the price.
Used the batting cage and it was alot of fun. Equipment in good working order and small selection of bats.
Customer service was helpful and knowledgeable, too.
Had a great afternoon at the Putt Putt!
$9 per person and we played about an hour. Cool obstacles and there’s a hole where you need to hit the ball into the fountain and the ball dumps out back on the green below thru a grate!! The place needs a little TLC but it’s clean and the greens aren’t broken or torn. It’s a fun place and we will be back!
Mini-golf course is your average course, nothing too exciting. No complaints about the golf range and the prices for the range aren't too bad. Batting cages are another story. Prices seem a little steep, one or two cages are often broke down, and the pitches won't be delivered in the same location consistently. I don't want to come work on my swing and have to worry about pitch location. Overall, pretty solid place.
This is a great mini golf course with unique challenges. Unlike many of the local putt putt style courses, there is a pretty good distance between the tee off and the hole. The cost is much less than most local courses. The only two negatives I found were the fact that the course has not been well maintained (overgrown trees, cracked paths, worn greens) and the hordes of mosquitoes that come out after dark.
I was surprised the establishment was larger than I anticipated. In addition to the mini golf, there is a driving range and batting cages. Some of the holes on mini golf were creative and I think over all it would be fun for a group. I will go back!
Best corn dog in Hampton roads
This place is great to bring the family, or even work on your golf skills. They have an array of batting cages from slow to fast with either softball or baseball. They have a large mini golf course with nice scenery. They also have a nice golf range.
Came here years ago and it was a top notch facility. But after my recent trip you can see that time has worn it down. Still a good place to go hit balls and work on your game. If you want Top Golf, this isnt it.
We had a lot of fun affordably. The little club house offers very little in the way of refreshments for our hot day visit. The bathrooms smelled Terrible as you walk by (and you Must walk past them to get from paying to playing). But the greens were varied and we'll kept.
So much fun at the driving range here without a requirement to purchase food.
Went for batting cage with 9yo daughter to practice her softball swing. Ended up also playing a round of mini golf. Overall a decent deal and a good way to have a fun outing with kids.
Well.. Its a driving range. I like the new automatic tee mats, but there's only 1 lefty.. The range used to look like grass but has deteriorated over the years. It's close to home so that's a plus, but it only gets my business because it's the only range around that's open in the evenings (besides Top Golf)
This place is a decent price for Batting cages. Their house equipment is a joke, bring your own bat and helmet. Expect a decent wait for the cages on the weekends, everyone and their kids are using the slow/med pitch machines.
Golf range rates are extremely good if you prepay and load up money on your ball machine card. Service at front desk has always been friendly since I started using the range regularly 6 months ago. Balls (uniformly Srixon range balls) and mats are in pretty decent condition, can also hit off grass at the right end of the range. Field that you're hitting into looks rather post-apocalyptic, but who cares as long as you have a flag to aim at and can trace ball flight. Great place to practice, rain or shine; it's the only covered range in VB I think, now that Owl Creek has closed and aside from Topgolf.
It's an affordable range with many options to hit from. Grass? Check. Mats with ball trays? Check. Mats with the auto tee system? Hell yeah! Only thing lacking is pins on the "greens" and better grass and drainage.
Great place to bring the kids batting cages have anywhere from softball to basketball it was great and the greens were good on the Putt-Putt side driving range is lit up like a football field plenty of drinks and snacks for kids enjoy it
My kids and I enjoy the mini golf and batting cages. Staff didn't make fun of me when the loaner club slipped out of my hands and ended up 15 or so yards down the driving range.
I have gone there many times and the place is just fine. When you compare LGP to the other miniature golf spots here in town, you will find that LGP is par for course. As for the batting cages, same answer. Their just fine and if they are not up to your standards you should go to a place that does only batting cages. Again, the same applies to the driving range. If your looking for a 5 star place to partake in mini-golf, batting cages or play golf in one form or another than go to a place that specializes in that particular field!
Andy was very helpful. Only place around with auto tee system. Excellent place to work on your swing...no need to move as you adjust your body and find the sweet spot.
I have told every golfer I know about this place. It is the only auto tee system in the region.
My son took me here and beat me in putt putt. They also have driving ranges and batting cages.
They have improved the driving range since my last visit... Look good guys
My softball team uses these batting cages. They are great and have really helped me improve on my batting. I wish there was a softball medium, but other than that it is awesome.
we just do the batting cages....its normally a smooth transaction....it gets pretty busy therr...the staff is always nice....dony ever buy gift cards from there though....for some reason they don't ever work.... nothing to really complain about...go and have some fun
Went for the batting cages, and the guy behind the counter was really nice. Gave us a good deal on tokens for the machine since we came back a couple times for more tokens.
Great price for the driving range nice place you can swing off the mat or bring your teen's for the grass, I would only want more coverage from the shade.
I go strictly for the batting cages. They're in good condition. One may go down here or there but the tenant typically gets it back up and running shortly and reimburses the tokens.
We did mini golf. Very nice course and clean.
Fun place, but a lot of stuff is broke. Course was very dirty and full of debris and multiple water pumps were broke, which took away from the courses.
Best Golf Range with beautiful nature view, they have Beer, food, batting cage and mini golf. feel like home, very reasonable price, way better than Topgolf
A fun, family friendly experience. 3 generations spent the afternoon taking swings in the batting cages and playing a round of putt putt golf. A driving range is also available.
Place is obviously on the older side and could use some updates but kids still love to hit balls there. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Worth a stop
Very friendly staff! Needs attention to a few details, but if you are going to have fun, you will. I will return on a regular basis. Thanks for the opportunity to enjoy Golf and batting.
Ignore the bad reviews. This place offers perfect customer service and well maintained cages, range and mini golf course.
Pretty nice put put course looks like they had brand new turf they where putting in so it's good to see a company keeping up on improvements 👍 😉 …
Best batting cages in hampton roads. Decent selection of loaner bats from fast pitch baseball to slow softball and not pricey
Mini golf was great the driving rage is pretty good. The batting cages are a little sub par.
The place is kind of run down. But its great for blasting a few balls to kill some time. $12 for 120 balls.
Great place to sharpen up skills and have fun with the family! The new ownership is tramsformimg the place, its looks great over there!
So much better than standing in the sun for an hour. Of course this park has grass if you want to stand in the sun.
No variety in the holes. No windmills or funny obstacles. Got a nice law enforcement discount though. Thank you. 5 stars for that.
I always come here to practice my swing or just to relax while playing mini golf. Its been my favorite driving range for many years
It is a good place but the batting cages are not included with the mini golf
Always accommodating to our need when we bring entire teams for batting practice. The kids love having outdoor batting practice
First time here. Nice golf course and not overly crowded.
Dedicated driving range is awesome because it’s lit up and heated. A couple things that really matter when you have a job and it’s winter.
Needs a little TLC and would be the best mini golf course I've been to. Small things like overgrowth on the course and pathways and a broken back door.
Great place but I recommend bring your own helmets for batting cage. Helmets are not sanitized .
Great place to hit balls and leave...no gimmick...just golf.
Family fun day! We all really enjoyed playing mini golf.
The manager during the day gave exceptional customer service and the prices are fair. I will definitely be returning.
Went to driving range on a cold cloudy day. The automatic ball feeder is fantastic, prices are cheap.
Most of the range stations had broken tees. Good enough for irons, but can't really drive on the driving range.
Under repair currently, still available, can't wait for improvements, great spot.
Fun place for the kids, just hope you don’t get caught behind a big, slow moving group on the course.
Hours of fun in one place. I enjoyed the miniature golf, the batting cage and the golf range.
driving range kinda sucks but the rates are fair and you can get good practice.
Very friendly staff! Great place to have family fun!
Simple and straight forward. Want a place to hit golf balls here it is, bonus you can hit later at night with lights.
Love coming here, super friendly staff and awesome set up.
I think it’s the best one here in Virginia compared to grand slam. Great service , good prices and great machines.
All was good except the employee wasn't so peaceful.
Went multiple times to the driving rage. There's mats and at the end of the driving range there's grass if mats aren't your thing.
Well being a employee a long time ago I must say the place could use some work. The staff is great just needs up keep.
Great fun but the miniature golf course needs some maintenance.
The batting cages are fun, unless you catch a very fast baseball to the hand.
Love this little place. Friendly staff and great mini golf course.
Great facility very peaceful have real grass to hit off of, I'll go back
Good price, adequate tees, needs work. Looks like they don't want to invest anymore in the range.
Great place to go with the family we had sooooo much fun located in Virginia Beach go and have some fun
Super fun place to take the family. But some of the course needs repairs.
A fun, inexpensive place to play putt putt. We had fun!
I've been there a couple times I don't suggest going on sundays it always packed on Sundays
Nice course, could use a little TLC. All in all it was good.
Very nice place. The staff are truly care that you have a good time.
Taking my grandson to practice hitting
Great putt putt ,batting cages and even a driving range and there's groupons for it
Great place to tune your baseball and golf swing!
Great mini golf course that avoids the crowds at the oceanfront 👍 …
This place is turning around. They've added automatic ball loader for the range mats.
Not many golf ranges left in Va Beach. This is one of the better ones.
Nice place to take your family and friends. Would like to do again.
It was great, will go again soon
Good price, nice mats, and ok grass area.
Great Customer Service and the best prices I have seen in a while.
Employee was great with the kids and the mini golf.
This place is very nice good for kids. I enjoyed it very much
Cheaper than top golf but not nearly as nice
Not as fun as shipwreck golf at ocean breeze but for the local area it was ok
Favorite place to mini golf that is close to home and never too packed.
Could use an update, but still a fun place for the family!
I've been going there for 20 years. They need an upgrade.
Peaceful while energetic its just a great place for the family to visit
Utilized the batting cage. It was fun with my family.
I was playing great golf scores with the eighteen golf course.
Used the batting cages. Inexpensive and well maintained
Automatic ball tees, but over half of them not operating. ☹
Good grass driving range. Hard to find around here
Batting cages work good. Lots of fun
Driving range and putt putt open. Batting cages still closed.
Batting cages were ok
I love this place. Been coming here for years now.
