Went there for a banquet. Food was served buffet style. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly and a good quantity was available. Room was excessively hot and I did not feel any air movement from the AC system. The large windows filling 2 walls with light drapes and no blinds or shades didn't help. A year later food the same excellent quality. Room temperature was spot on right. Outside was real cold for this area.

I attended a rehearsal this past week, and today, the wedding. The grounds were attractive. The main building was clean, organized, and provided many options for events. The decor was pleasing, neutral, and welcoming. The event set-up was lovely, and appropriate.The event supervisor, Michelle, was professional, knowledgeable, conscientious, and pleasant. I noticed her making a sincere connection with anyone with whom she spoke. All of my interactions with other staff were enjoyable and supportive. Although I did not eat any of the appetizers served, I heard positive comments from guests. I would definitely recommend The Greenbrier Country Club to friends and clients to consider for their next event venue.

Wonderful location. Aggressive course with very many tee locations depending on your handicap. The grounds are superb in terms of layout and view along the cart pads. There are number of pleasantly located water bodies and even the rough is decently raked and groomed. This is a fairly flat course, but comprable to others in the area. The course is aggressive with dog legs, narrow limited length fairways lined with trees, multiple water and sand traps, and sloping greens. The grass conditions were quite nice considering how dry the season had been. The greens were nearly perfect. The second hole, maybe because of its location to water bodies, had maybe 20 of those cobra chickens (geese) walking around plucking up fairway grass and pooping it out the cart path. Not much you can do about that except keep an eye out, and even if you happen to step in it, it really is just made of grass. The whole situation kind of reminded me of the Gopher in Caddyshack.

My husband and I attended an affair at the country club. The room was very warm in addition, it was at least 98 degrees outside. No ice was in the water on the tables. Food was okay.

Food was like school lunch. My chicken was dry and had tasteless gravy on it. Green beans and potatoes great. Deserts were store bought cookies. I would expect a chef at this place to be top knotch. Staff and servers awesome and kind.

Friend had a birthday party here, it was amazing! Staff was friendly, venue was mag, everything was so put together. Dance floor is a little small but everything was on point! Bravo! Employees all wore masks and everything was clean. Would recommend!

I came to this country club for a wedding and this was a perfect venue. The building is beautiful inside and looks very nice outside. It was clean and had nice decorative lights. There was definitely enough space for all of the guests, the food, and the dancing. The people who worked there were very helpful and respectful to our party. They were very orderly in getting us to do things in segments so that they could prepare the next part of the party. Nothing was out of place and it was a very pleasant experience.

Loved this place and staff. Ryan, gm, was great to work with. I had my wedding there this past weekend and everything turned out to be fabulous. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious especially the teriyaki chicken and salmon. The Caesar Salad had just enough dressing and the herb roasted potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The place was clean, neat and everyone is just so friendly. I will definitely return to do some more events and recommend this venue to everyone. Thank you for making my wedding a fun and memorable experience.

We held my daughter's sweet 16 party here and the staff was truly awesome! They all smiled and we're eager to help anytime we asked. They were very prompt and professional with all their service. The rates were comparable and actually cheaper then most places we checked around Chesapeake.

I attended a wedding here recently. The food was great the scenery was beautiful. However, it was an evening wedding and it was a long dark walk back from the outdoor ceremony in heels over rugged terrain. Some ground lighting would have made all the difference in the world. I felt like I was walking in a Minefield ready to twist my ankle at any moment. Also, it was the most expensive cash bar I had ever been to at a wedding.

The Greenbrier Country Club is an amazing venue for a wedding. This was an outdoor ceremony, with about 150 guests, and an upstairs reception. The service that the staff provided was very personal. They helped with planning and coordinating all of the vendor services and even set up the centerpieces and decorations. The food was amazing and some of the guests are still talking about how wonderful the chicken parmesan was. Elizabeth, Jordan, and the rest of the staff were amazing! They treated everyone like they were the most important people in the world. I would recommend them again and again.

Course is in great shape for the winter. The fairways are dormant brown, the tee boxes appropriately sized small, and the greens are green and fast .... although not as fast as the practice green. Overall, a nice facility. If only the course layout were more interesting.
