This course probably has everything you need: water, (some) rolling hills, elevated greens, forced longs, forced doglegs, etc. The greens look very good but they are relatively slow. This would be a much better course if the greens roll much faster. Some holes are relatively straightforward and some require a little strategic planning. There are a few signature holes to make this course interesting and increase the level of challenges. As seen from the pictures, some tee boxes need some maintenance work. For a south Floridian, I am willing to play courses with plenty of elevation changes in northern Florida; however, this course still offers me plenty of fun.

I played with the $40 twilight rate which has to be possibly the best deal you'll find in all of Florida. Course is very fun to play. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were also in excellent condition. The bunkers were a bit rough, not maintained very well. The biggest issue with the course is the absolute brutal pace of play. We had a five-some walking in front of us and they played the front nine in two and a half hours. Simply getting a ranger out to enforce pace of play is all they need to do and this would be a five-star course.

Probably one of my favorite courses in the area those last 3-4 holes are so beautiful! Not to take away from the rest of the course it is such a nice course and maintained well. The carts have the best gps in a cart I have ever seen as well so that's an added bonus! Highly recommend this course

Great golf course, but very challenging! There is a lot of water hazard to avoid. The blue tees are long (6800+) and a couple of holes require 200+ drive to clear the water. I love the GPS in the carts!

I really enjoyed this golf course 🙂!! It was really wet with all of the rain that we have had and the cart path only made it difficult and tiring. I love Robert Trent Jones designs and this is a good one! There were some issues with the bunkers and a few ground under repair areas but the greens were fantastic and smooth. Get a putt on line and it will tract true. The speed of the greens were not overly fast but was perfect for most handicap golfers. I went with 5 stars but the truth would be around 4.25 to 4.5.

This is an enjoyable RTJ layout, and it plays really well. Greens are typically in good shape and roll true. Greens fees in comparison to other local tracks are very fair and you definitely get your moneys worth. Some of the fairways tend to hold water more than others but cartpath only rules come in to play for a couple of days after it rains hard, and only affects a few holes. On another note, the staff is commendable and always do a great job. To their credit, I left my rangefinder in my golf cart, and it was turned in, and I picked it up a week later. That does not happen very often.

Had a fun time at the Fox. Got a $32 deal from their website. I'd say that is a fair price The fairways and greens were in great condition. The layout has some really challenging holes. The back 9 was more fun than the front nine. There were several interesting green placements. This course winds through the middle of a housing development, but it never felt crowded, and the houses never came into play. Several big Gators on the course, they won't bug you unless you bug them, but it's good to be aware. Only saw the cart person once, but there are plenty of waterstations. Come check out Fox Hollow next time you are in south Pasco county.

Greens in excellent condition, rates are a bit high for other courses nearby. Also they seem to stack the tee times which causes back ups. Definitely a 4+ hour round in prime times. Otherwise the course is great.

I absolutely love this course - do NOT come here on a Wednesday… apparently a big group of hacks who think they own the place take the course over and play a 5+ hour round… even one of the rangers mentioned ‘I absolutely hate them’… Course could use a little water, overall will continue to be a good customer who aims to play in under 4 hours

Love the Restaurant. From breakfast to dinner, you can't go wrong. Yesterday we ordered the 2 egg breakfast and a friend had the breakfast bowl filled with cheesy sauteed peppers, onions, hash browns, sausage and perfectly cooked egg. We highly recommend the ahi tuna salad, burgers, and fried fish. The BEST coffee in the area, as well.

Beautiful location for dinner or lunch with a great view. We often forget that we have this great resource right here in our backyards. Be sure to visit if it's been a while, or if your new to the area. Try the Buffalo Chicken flat bread, it was awesome!

Staff is rude and just overall annoying. Read reviews before typing this just to make sure I wasn’t overreacting but it seems my experience is a common one. Was visiting Tampa for a bachelor/golf trip and this was our last course booked for the trip. So first off the Starter rushed us to the tee box just so we could wait to tee off. Then later was accused of playing in a 5 some not once but twice because “one of the owners called and said they saw us from their porch playing together as a 5 some” when in reality we were just watching our other groups approach on 9th green before hitting the turn. At the turn the ranger tracked us down in the restaurant to accuse us without even asking us about the situation. The most annoying part about it all was my partner and I who were ahead of the rest of our group were waiting on every single tee box and fairway to hit. We could’ve all easily played together. Course has a fun layout but over priced. Some of the slowest greens I’ve ever played and pace of play was ridiculous. 5 hour round with cart scatter shouldn’t happen.

I was on vacation from Indianapolis, staying in Clearwater Beach. I played this beautiful course this week and got paired with the two nicest and coolest old guys I’ve ever met. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were immaculate. The course was challenging but fair and a blast to play. The staff was very nice and the price for this treasure was unbelievably cheap and I would put this course up against some of the best I’ve played in Florida….I would play this course again and again….Highly recommend playing here if you’re ever in town you won’t be disappointed. Thanks again Fox Hollow and see you again on my next visit for sure

My son and I live in NYS and were down for a week of golf while visiting my brother that lives in that area. We came across Fox Hollow and played as one of the 6 courses we played that week and loved it. Loved t so much that we are going back for another trip in late February and this one is on our play list again. Honestly we played Saddlebrook as well that week as felt Fox Hollow to be in better shape, more enjoyable to play and the staff at FH was friendlier. Greens were immaculate and large like we are used to at Cornell’s Robert Trent Jones course, fairways super plush and manicured well. Scenery was nice a varied as well. We loved the course and staff there as well. Hoping to have another great experience and round when we go in February.

Excellent golf course. In fantastic shape , the greens are as green as can be and they putt as pure as anything around. Very challenging but fair course. Plenty of water and sand but a great layout. Plenty of sand in the traps if u hit it in there and tee boxes were in good shape as well. Pro shop and workers are all super friendly and make u feel welcome. Will definitely be back there soon. Highly recommend it. A must play !!

the course was carts "off" path, the day after a hard rain. great drainage, greens sharp, well taken care of course. i especially thought the clubhouse restaurant and bar was exceptional.. great views, food,will return to eat, even if not playing golf

So...not only a beautiful golf course, even for having bad weather for days before I played, the place was very well taken care of and is a fun track! But then I left my debit card at the bar, I live far away, fox hollow was was happy to mail me my card the next day!(after verifying it was me of course) Great experience, great service! I found Fox Hollow a very pleasant golfing experience. As others have written, the front and back nine have unique personalities - get warmed on the front as you have some water to contend with on the back. The greens were very fast and required a good read. While we played in less than 4 and a half hours, we did wait a lot so it did seem slow. Definitely worth a return visit.

Awesome but difficult course. The greens where in great condition, and you will see a lot of wildlife. The cart has GPS built in which makes finding yardage easy, but will also stop you from driving some places on the course.

Tough course. Really tough. One of the hardest courses I've ever played. Tons of water on every hole but fun to play! If you want to test yourself this is it.

Ate with eleven neighbors. Everyone was happy with the foils which was reasonably priced lounge food menu for lunch. I had ahi tuna salad. Unfortunately out was in iceberg lettuce. The tuna was good. Cooked perfectly and nicely served. Two men had beers battered fish and liked it. Chef salad looked nice but then again iceberg lettuce.

Excellent course! Great layout, great fairways, great greens! The only thing that I would do is call the pro shop and ask what the conditions are if it has been raining. The course holds water and there will be some restrictions. Overall - 5 stars!

This is a great course. One of my favorites in the entire Tampa Bay area...and not because I got a hole-in-one on 12. Just sayin. They always take incredible care of the course. It will test you and it will reward you. Great Club House...solid menu.

Pace of play of this golf course is a big problem. Need rangers or something. 5+ hours for a round of golf is unheard of. Good course but needs some policing of play.

Excellent course. Greens were true and well kept, but suuuper slow on the day we played. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Playing from the blues or the tips is not for the short hitters. (I should have played from the whites).

This place is gorgeous to say the least. My family and I come here at least once a year. We usually come for Easter or Mother's Day. The food is amazing and they have a great variety! The golf course looks amazing to play. The staff os always friendly and eager to accomidate with whatever is needed. I highly recommend coming to eat, play, or even consider getting married here. It is such a classy event space.

Fun, challenging golf course. This course will force you to place your drives carefully or experience the formidable rough. Several long par 4's will test your long irons and shot placement. A couple greens had minor areas under repair but overall the course is in excellent shape and is one of the better courses in Pasco county. The restaurant had good food but just okay service.

This is THE best public golf course in Tampa, PERIOD. Jovita is close but Fox is better priced and harder layout. Conditions are always spot on, its the only course if I had to play everyday I could without getting bored.

A very nice layout, challenging course, and nice Clubhouse. We visited there in August after a strong rain. The course is very soggy and wet in places. But you can still tell that the bones of the place are quite good. I'd recommend this on you list of courses to play when staying in the area.

Its clean and well kept up. For the most part reasonable prices and the food is generally good, but nothing special. Nice view of the course. Its our local "club". if not, I wouldnt have a reason to go. I wish they would run more specials, like happy hours, 1/2 price on appetizers, better pricing on meals. Their prime rib nite is $20. At $15 it would attract attention. The staff is always great. They just need more variety.

Worked with Joey to set up a party of 16-22 for Easter brunch. He is awesome, so professional and such a pleasure to work with. He responded to my calls promptly and followed through on the requests I had. The venue was great, as was the food and service. Can't thank Joey and staff enough for making our Easter day so nice. I'm a veteran started playing at 11am first time playing at this course I was disappointed they do not offer military discount until noon this needs to be changed or you will start losing a lot of veteran clientele coming to this golf course most of us like to play in the morning first thing.

Visited Fox Hollow this week on golfing trip from UK. Very nice course, well presented. Starter was welcoming. The downside being a member of staff in the bar, extremely rude and arrogant, I would have complained directly to a supervisor, but non around. Management please check on the bar staff who are doing a disservice to your superb course.

This is my favorite golf course in the Tampa area. It's always in wonderful shape and the greens roll fast and pure. The staff in the pro shop is friendly and knowledgable, and have always made my experience very enjoyable. The club is also very accommodating for woman golfers like me. PS. Play Fox Hollow fairly frequently. Nice layout and typically in great shape. Plagued by slow play though. No rangers are deployed on course and it's obvious that too many playing here have no understanding of the concept that a groups place on the course is directly behind the group in front of them and not directly in front of the group behind them. My group is done playing Fox Hollow because of slow play and management's refusal to monitor pace of play.

Always a very clean club. We have our BNI meetings here (Shout out to Partners In Profit!) and they are very accommodating. Also, quite possibly the best coffee I've ever had, and when you are getting up for a meeting at 7:15am every week, that in itself is why the deserve 5 stars.

Lots of great golf courses available to us in Tampa Bay, but, among public and semi-private offerings, Fox Hollow has been at the top of my list for the 22 years I've been here. Golfed there regularly, and the conditions are consistently outstanding - among the best greens and overall maintenance in the area at any level of club, at any price! If you are looking for a track of the same caliber as TPC-Tampa Bay, World Woods, other semi-private courses, or private clubs in the area available only seasonally, give The Fox a try. But bring your A game. Fox Hollow provides a golf challenge for all levels of play.

I’ve played this course often - one of the better courses in the area. Up until today - every staff member encountered was friendly and showed appreciation for you playing the course. However - today I encountered “Tom” the Starter. After being MIA for about 15 minutes - “Tom” appeared on the scene. As I checked in I asked him how many groups were in front of us.... his response “I’ll call you”. I followed that up with... could you tell me if you’re running on time?... his response...”I’ll call you”. Again - I like the course - and have never encountered this type of rudeness before. With so many golf alternatives in the area - I would urge Fox Hollow to reconsider letting “Tom” interact with customers.

The Good: Great layout, great tees, fairways, greens, all in good condition, carts have GPS, sports and news on touchscreen TV. The Bad: Range is always closed. Hole #18 is always closed. Bring something to drink because you might die from dehydration before you see a cart girl......

Actually I was on the trail next door cycling beside the cow pastures and open fields and thoroughly enjoying the solitude until I came to the end of the trail. Unfortunately some idiot put a golf course at the of the trail. 5 stars for the trail, 0 stars for the grotesque waste of land that is considered a golf course.

The golf course is well maintained with a great staff and nice practice area. There is a lot of risk reward out there and you can hit every club in the bag. 18 is a great finishing hole and takes you right to the clubhouse restaurant. The restaurant and bar are great, we go when we are not playing golf as well. All glass front lets you watch the golfers come down 18 and catch a sunset if you time it right. Friendly service, great food, and a fair price.
