Course is in great shape for this time of the year. We teed off around 9am but it took over 4 .5 hours to finish. There were two 3somes playing a scramble in front of us and they were very inconsiderate of their pace. The whole golf course was backed up. What a shame!

The Course is in great shape this year, The greens are also in great shape, and it is challenging. Love the layout. The cost for 18 for what you get to play on is one of the best in the region. And the Saff, Especially Angie in the pro shop are very friendly. Play it! you will like it! You will 3 putt, and you will come back.

We just recently were married on 10/16/21. We chose to have our reception at Woods Fort in the Fireside Room. Kelly was absolutely wonderful to work with from beginning to end. All of our expectations were not only just met but went above and beyond. Two weeks prior to our reception we were invited to the club for a tasting. The food was so amazing we had trouble deciding which to choose. Prior to the wedding ceremony, my wedding party and I were able to get ready in the bridal suite with breakfast sandwiches and drinks. Golf carts were available for us when we arrived allowing us to take beautiful photos on the green. While we were taking photos our guests were enjoying a cocktail hour with appetizers and a signature drink. (Love Martini) Once the reception started Kelly and the staff kept everything running smoothly. We received many compliments on dinner and Kelly was even kind enough to make Joe and I a plate to go knowing we didn't get much time to eat. We wanted an elegant atmosphere and the linens and tableware were perfect. Kelly kept in contact with the bakery and the flower shop to make sure everything was ready when our guests arrived. I highly recommend Woods Fort for any occasion. We plan on booking our company Christmas dinner there as well.

Our server every time we go is Maddie. She’s very knowledgeable about the menu- and our drinks are never empty. She’s so bubbly and always has a smile on her face! Our food is very good and we love the views to outside from the dining room.

I’ve been a weekday member at Woods Fort for six years and what a great place to play a round of golf and have a wonderful meal in their restaurant. The course is always in great shape, but it’s the fantastic staff that really brings out the joy of playing golf here. Came in for the holidays and took my father-in-law and brother-in-law to hit golf balls at the driving range! So accommodating and friendly staff. Also loved the time so much we took the family the next day to do the front 9 of the course on Christmas Eve. Not only did they ensure it happened, but Angie Colbert made everything so easy for us and made sure we had a great time. Which we most definitely did! Woods Fort Golf Club and Restaurant is a gem, located in the outskirts of Troy, Missouri. The golf course is always maintained in excellent condition. The maintenance crew take great pride in their job. Woods Fort’s greens are among the best in the Saint Louis area. The Pro-shop staff and marshals are exceptionally friendly and courteous. They make you feel at home. Jason is new Pro, he has been a great addition to the Team. Also, in the Pro-shop you will find Angie Colbert, who will always greets you with a smile and makes you feel at home. After the round of golf you can enjoy a nice beverage and delicious meal at the recently renovated bar and restaurant. Heather and her staff are as friendly as they come. It is definitely worth the drive to Woods Fort and Restaurant.

Our local Troy Republican Club held their Christmas dinner at Woods Fort Country Club. The food tasted great and their event planner was very helpful and accommodating in helping us plan a menu that pleased everyone. Club members complimented the food to me throughout the evening. THOSE SEEKING WEDDING INFORMATION, PLEASE READ!!! I am going to make this as brief as possible because no one likes to read really long reviews. However, some things I cannot simply summarize because Woods Fort did such an INCREDIBLE job! (We only held our reception here, not the ceremony, 55-65 guests). This is a review from the bride and groom: Pricing: Woods Fort pricing was by far the best around. We inquired with nearly a dozen places and visited a few and Woods Fort was BY FAR the most affordable yet, did not feel like a budget-friendly venue, but it was! We got to choose from different table layouts, stock linens, etc. There were many options for the design of the room including some décor, different colored table cloths, and multiple lengths to choose from. We stuck with all of the ‘included’ options (no upcharge) and it turned out beautifully. Also, WF got golf carts for us and our wedding party to go out onto the course that day and take pictures with our photographer, free of charge. Timeline: I proposed to my now wife on July 3rd, 2021 and we got married and held the reception at WF on September 18th, 2021. And we did not even contact Woods Fort until August 10th, 2021. YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT, in just over one month we planned with Kelly, the wedding coordinator, and the head chef, Brian, and got the banquet center ready to go. You could tell these two employees really cared about us and made us feel valued. They went above and beyond countless times to ensure that everything was EXACTLY how we wanted it. They were upfront about what was included, and what was not, and what was extra. They made time for us to schedule a tasting of the food (DEFINITELY DO THIS, WE FELT LIKE CELEBRITIES!) We were given ample time to set up for reception The Room: We booked the Fireside room and it was plenty of space for our guests (~55-65) for dinner, the toast, dancing, and celebrating. I would confidently say that you could fit 75 -90 people in this space. There was space for the food, dessert, tables for guests, the bar, and a dancefloor. Food: The food was one of the HIGHLIGHTS of the day. We were complimented by nearly every guest in attendance (seriously) to which we continued to refer them back to the Chef, Brian, to thank him for the wonderful food. Brian went above and beyond and was active throughout this process. You can tell that he is a professional man that cares about his reputation and how his kitchen operates. The proof of this can be seen in the food! YUM! He also made us a special dessert that was not included on the menu that turned out PHENOMINALLY! You can tell he loves what he does and he will not disappoint when you pick this venue! (Or if you just want to come for dinner at the restaurant). Staff: Every staff member made sure to greet us and our guests with a smile. From the people helping set up, buffet helpers/servers, and bartender. Everyone was extremely pleasant and made sure multiple times throughout the evening that everything was going well and according to our vision. Kelly was the event manager the day of and helped us from beginning to end, she even came up with the name of our signature cocktail, Jikky Juice (for Jared and Nikky). Again, we must give a big thank you to Brian and his amazing staff in the kitchen/bartender for producing such wonderful food & drink for us that night! The Day Of: Kelly ran the show during the day of the wedding. The wedding ceremony and pictures ran longer than expected at our church which pushed our time of arrival to Woods Fort back a little. Kelly was flexible and had the golf carts ready for us to take more pictures out on the course. The food was cooked perfectly and came out on time. Kelly kept an eye on our stuff during the wedding and was in constant communication with us during the day and reassured us that everything was going great. She even saved plates of food for us to enjoy later in case we didn’t get to eat as much as we would have liked to! Things just could not have gone better! 10/10 would recommend Woods Fort for ANY event!

We have held our annual event at Woods Fort for fundraising. The golf course, club house and staff are outstanding. Kelly has been very easy to work with. The clubhouse is newly remodeled and awesome.

I played with a foursome here over the past weekend. The greens were exceptionally fast and the pin placement was incredibly challenging. These are things that you look for when playing a course with better skilled players. Angie in the clubhouse was incredibly welcoming and made sure we understood what we were getting into and was extremely tentative to our needs as well. I look forward to playing the course again and again as the value is exponentially better than most courses in the area.

This place is absolutely outstanding! I just picked up golf again after a 10 year break and started searching for a decent course that is well maintained and moderately forgiving for beginners. I asked around the golf community and read through hundreds of reviews and I was shocked and literally over the moon to discover that the place that everyone was recommending and the place with the best reviews just so happened to be right in my own backyard, Troy, Missouri. The greens are pretty much flawless, fairways forgiving and perfect every time I’ve been there and the place is so clean, the clubhouse kids that work there are constantly going here and there on the course picking up trash or debris or fixing divots, etc. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable from what I’ve seen. There’s also a beautiful little chipping/putting green AND a nice driving range on site as well. I haven’t had the chance to try the restaurant yet but I’ve heard they’re fantastic. On top of ALL OF THAT the place is actually priced decent. I’ll most certainly be spending a lot of time at Woods Fort GC this summer. This place is an absolute hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and the next time you golf, GO HERE and you won’t regret it!

Great course, friendly people. Want to give a shout out to Angie in the pro shop. 2020 was a year and she did her job and several others. She ran the pro shop, organized tournaments, worked with the leagues, trained constant changing new staff, cleaned carts, drove the beer cart, & ran food to the patio for the wait staff. Always with a smile and keeping up with the constant change. WF would not be the same without her.

Woods Fort golf course is amazing. First let’s talk about the people keeping the course in great shape. The grounds crew is excellent and they work really hard to keep the course in shape. The pro shop staff is also awesome. A special shout out to Angie. She is knowledgeable and just as nice as can be. She is always working doing whatever you need for your round of golf. She has a way of making you feel like family, I love when she is working. Jason the Head Pro is new but he fits right in. He is very nice, always making sure you have a great experience. Our Pi Golf Group love playing at this golf course. Lots of improvements made these past 2 years. Staff are very nice and accommodating. Love the layoff of the course. We play here at least once every month. Greens fee are reasonably priced. Check it out.

Played 8/7, 9 holes in the evening. The course is in very good shape and you can see that they are putting $$ into it. New sod, new sand in bunkers, etc. The best part of the round was being greeted by Angie in the pro shop. She made our day. Super nice, professional, all with a smile. She took care of all of our needs, asked if there was anything more she could do, even asked how our round was when we were done. It's people like that, that will bring us back!! Thanks Angie!

Nice course but difficult for the beginner. Nice small restaurant, good food, full bar, nice clientele and good service. The banquet area is nice and moderately priced for larger gatherings of 100-400, I think. They serve whatever set up you're looking for example, reunions with hor d' oeuvres to full course dinners with tables and linens for a reception. All around service. They also do golf tourneys with lunch through the course and dinner served after.

Course is in great shape! There was a frost delay on holes 1 & 2 when we showed up for our morning round, so they let us play hole 18 while we waited. I’ve never had a course offer that before, which was very cool and appreciated. There was a few holes with bad pin placements, but that happens sometimes. Woods Fort is well worth the drive and is just as good, or better, than a lot of the more popular STL metro area courses.

Played Woods Fort GC yesterday. One of my top ten courses in town, but it was rough yesterday (03/13), because the greens and rough had been aireated. This is not and issue, but when i called to make a tee time no one meantioned it. They were at full rack rate ($$) too, which did not make us happy. To thier credit, i asked if we could take two carts since thier were only two of us and it was Cart Path Only. This made the round go much faster. And was appreciated. I just don't understand why courses don't warn players that the course has been aireated, and then offer a portional rate to play based on the conditions. Woods Fort is a very fun course and we'll be back. It just wasn't as fun of an experience this time out David Alderson

Greens are fast and challenging, well manicured, newly paved cart paths and staff is always friendly. This is a favorite course when time allows. Make sure to download the app for on-course gps, personal scorecard, and lots of great offers on discount tee times and events.
