Reviews of Tower Tee Golf
Carondelet Kitchen
Had a family fun day at the Top Tracer Bays this afternoon. There were 7 of us. Ages 10 to, well, let’s just say several times that number, and we all had a great time. The cost was very reasonable. The facility is spotless. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Been a patron of Tower Tee for a LONG time but this new facility is absolutely amazing!
Shannon Leon
Two things:
1. Yes, the new facility is nice.
2. Communication/ Customer Service not so great. We had a whole baseball team (not to mention more than a handful of other random customers) here for batting cages. The ground was completely dry however there was a huge situation trying to get clearance to open the cages after a rain. Again, let me reiterate, THE GROUND WAS COMPLETELY DRY. After 30 minutes of waiting, much advocating, and an interesting exchange before they finally opened the cages. When it was mentioned that another facility that had cages were open for us and that there was a lot of money to be made from all the people down waiting, the woman behind the counter stated that Tower Tee was making a lot of money on the driving range and would be fine. She suggested that it might be better for people to take their money to places that were open. Yikes. I don't know that this was the best repsonse to potential customers.

I was finally able to play the newly renovated Tower Tee today. And I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The driving range has two levels, stalls with shot tracers, a chipping area. The range balls are Bridgestone and feel/hit nicely. There is also a putt-putt course, but not nearly as interesting as the old one.
The pro shop is a finer one you will find anywhere around.
There is a playground for the kids and, of course the batting cages.
Now to the course itself and the reason this isn't a 5 star review...
The new course is a 9 hole course as opposed to the old 18 hole course. The greens were in excellent shape and the course overall was well manicured and a considerable upgrade from old TT. From the back tees most holes play between 75 to 100 yards. Holes 5 and 9 are longer and you would be wise to bring a longer club along just for them. The difficulty comes into play not from the course or it's excellent and well placed hazards (or the mature trees), but from the fact that the "footgolf" course plays within the same space as the golf course! There were NUMEROUS times that an errant shot from a footballer would come rolling across the greens mid-putt. Secondly, they play from the same tees as the golfers, making for some very slow play. (We played behind two groups of footballers, one was an adult foursome, and another with 6 kids and 1 adult). Additionally, it took a minute for us to determine which flags were for golf as opposed to footgolf.
Suggestion: There is a pretty large area down the hill (where the old course back nine was) that could've been used for the footballers. Right now it looks to be a bunch of weeds.
We did not indulge, but there is food and drinks available, including a "cold and frosty".
Overall I enjoyed the experience and will definitely be returning. I'm very glad you're back Tower Tee. And many thanks to the owners who rescued the course where I learned to play this beloved game.
Jason Higgins
Finally tried out the new par 3 course at Tower Tee and I had a blast! Most greens are modeled off famous courses in Ireland and Scotland including St. Andrew's. They add a level of complexity to the par 3 experience that you won't find anywhere else in St. Louis. The course is kept beautifully. My group and I enjoyed a couple beers and some football out on the large patio after our game. The driving range also looks great and they now offer the TopTracer bays to add some fun to the experience.
Kati Johnson
Can’t say enough good things about this great facility. Family friendly, but adults can have a good time, too. The course is beautifully designed and the double decker driving range is fantastic! Such a gem for St Louis, even more than before.
Corey J
Had a great time in the Top Tracer bays, and the precision putting course. Everything is pretty cheap. All the employees were very nice, and helpful. Will definitely return often.
Mike Seper
It's new and exciting. All first class all the way!!! Come on out and give them a try!!! If you're lucky I'll be picking balls on the driving range and you will see my smiling face!!! See you soon!!!
norma rufkahr
Love the new par 3 course! I played with my grandsons this morning, the course is well cared for, easy to follow signs to get from one hole to the next, and very pretty. What a pleasant way to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors. So much more than I expected!
SUE Pratt
Beautiful murals inside that our son had done. He was so talented. Very nice place to practice. Even took our 6 year old granddaughter to hit a few practice balls months ago.
William Allen
I was looking for a driving range so I looked this up wit the maps app. I am very impressed. It is a clean, friendly establishment with several levels of range choice from high level, ground level, areas that electronically evaluate your swing, and more. This is my go to practice range.
Jason H
I loved the old tower tee, took my kids there many times. The rebuilt Tower Tee is excellent, modern touches with a little nostalgia!
Update.... seems to be doing really well, workers are pleasant and they are doing a great job of keeping it looking good.
daniele ruder
Very clean facility, many activities and budget friendly :)
Mike Dauphin
First class place! What a difference from the old. Outside patio clean, mini golf course. All out side bays spacious. Batting cages back! What a "make over"!
Amanda Morrison
Was our first time visiting Tower Tee Golf since it reopened. It was very clean. The bays for the driving range were clean and very spacious. Employees that we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. My family and I enjoyed our time and had fun. We will visit again in the future.
Kris Peterson (krisp - she, her)
The newly opened Tower Tee is a beautiful facility. It’s clean, nice amenities, and a very friendly staff. It’s a great environment whether you are looking to just hit some balls, hang out with your friends who are hitting balls, or play around on the putting course. Highly recommend especially in questionable weather!
Jason Schulte
Played the course Fri night and it brought back old memories. Course played and looked great, don't remember front 9 being so hilly though. An improvement that needs to be made is walk ways and steps, along with a bench here or there, esp when busy be nice to sit on a bench while waiting to tee off or just take a breather. Last would be water on the course. Overall though it was great to play again and looked amazing!
James Tourte
Great classic batting cages at a reasonable price, machines are well maintained and adjusted. Definitely worth a stop!
Sunshine Audit
Hit a couple buckets of balls here with my friend. The new facility is very nice and clean. The par 3 was not open at the time of my visit but I look forward to playing there. I also saw that they added foot golf which I also look forward to trying. Very happy that they reopened. Staff didn’t offer much help and were not very approachable. Price for a bucket of 100 balls was $14
Todd Slawson
So excited to have Tower Tee back! I had come here for years and hated when it closed. They absolutely crushed it on bringing this back. The setup is perfect and everything looks great! Stopped by today and hit 200 balls at a great price. Looking forward to making this a common stop for my weekends.
Alyssa Renaud
We loved getting to watch the Blues game on the outdoor patio. We attended when they first opened and batting cages were free. Our group loved it, but I am not sure we would have stayed as long if we had to pay a dollar for every turn on the batting cages.
Kim K
Excellent no frills mini golf & modern driving range (and, 9 hole course- walking only). Beautiful new facility. I live in St Charles, but will definitely return to this facility.
frank t tiefenbruch
Quite different from what it was when I grew up in st louis clean friendly people watch grandson get golf lessons they had a blasted
Curtis Miller
Best practice facility and instructors in St Louis for avid golfers. And a great place for just some good old fashioned family fun. A must visit.
Jon Storey
Visited the new tower tee today. What an amazing face lift. Very inviting and homey. You could easily spend a whole day there having fun. Great job management team.
Joshua Mahler
I am glad to have Tower Tee back! Played soccer golf and it was so much fun. First time ever playing, and I plan on going back another weekend.
John hudson
This is a solid driving range, didn't expect to find it, well taken care of and basically the level of top golf but without the food and drinks. They do have tracers at each bay as well, was crushing it to the fences which were only 250 yards. Would definetly come back here again.
Mark Seebeck
Crowded. Had to hunt around for tees since there were none in the two mats we had. Putting greens were a disappointment since they are artificial. Tons of pins to shoot at with marked yardages which was great.
Stephanie Tedford
Fantastic place to go! So beautiful inside and out. The kids had so much fun and adults too. So easy. Very friendly helpful staff!
Bharat Verma
Best place to golf here in the south city! Cheap and always available!
Steve Horton
Had a great time. I like the way they set things up
Megan Herbig
Love it!!! Super fun place to get a cocktail and hit some balls.
Currahee
My child started golf classes. So far so good. I'll update as time goes with information about this place.
Megan Pohlman
This place is amazing. Food and drinks. Very clean facility with bathrooms. The driving range is top notch. Will definitely return!
Kevin Lynch
Tower Tee is sweet. Great to have this gem of a range and course as an option, and it is beautiful
Chris May
I knew the old tower tee. This is definitely, an awesome upgrade.
Mark Brouk
So happy this complex was rebuilt. The new owners did an AMAZING job, best golf secret in St. Louis!
Ben Frentzel
Super fun! We love the themed holes at the mini-golf course and that it's a full 18 holes. The driving range is nice, too. And, if you're looking for them, you may notice a whole bunch of deer that like to graze about 350-400 yards out, at the end of the range.
Sean
Top notch facility. Love the putt putt course for the kids, really professional range with good prices. Definitely my new practice facility.
Lynn S
Impressive, open to the public, family oriented, fun, golf range, fast pitch baseball & slow pitch soft ball, affordable.
Barbara Inman
It is so wonderful
casey moore
Awesome!! They really did an excellent job with the place! Looking forward to watching some Cardinals and Blues on the patio when it warms up
Tim Keeney
Really nice facility, new of course. Friendly staff. Love having a Toptracer driving range so close to home.
ItsLuis
Tower tee is one of the best places to go in St. Louis. It's so fun and all of the employees are very respectful. I have gone up there so many times and I recommend it! They have machines ranging from 30 mph to 80 mph and it's all safe. The prices are a really good deal too. If you have a passion for baseball, this is the place to go.
Dylan Miller
Most of the tee off boxes on the par 3 course are slightly worn down but is as expected with all the people who play here. And the reason for all the foot traffic? It's because of how well the course is taken care of. I come here at least once a week and have yet to have a bad experience (other than my golf game). So with that being said, I would highly recommend this place for a fun day with the family or friends.
Chris Flanigan
I can only speak for the driving range, but it was well-kept and with plenty of space. They do have a limited number of drivers for use for those, like us, without their own club(s). It was fairly busy, but we both found space to drive right away. Will definitely go back!
Jacob Woelfel
Great facilities and wonderful time with family and friends.
Robert Davis
The golf course is a par 3 course. The front 9 is really short, if you are by yourself you should be able to complete it in an hour. No carts but pull carts are available for a $1 (though your only going to need 2 or 3 clubs anyway). Its a fun course for casual play. $10/per nine holes.
Rama Suresh
Started visiting the range for my 9-year old son who liked mini-golf. He now takes lessons there from Bob Gaus who teaches well at a very reasonable price. I'm crossing my fingers that my son takes to golf and doesn't quit when his game gets competitive. The course is reasonably maintained and has heated driving ranges which are important in winter.
john meschede
Good size driving range. Adequate putting green. Small pro shop. Cheap prices. Friendly staff. Lessons available. Tucked into a nice suburban area. Close to Watson road. But not too close.
Todd Farmer
$5 beers, small bar fare, totally redone and it's beautiful. Can't wait for warmer weather.
Kirstie Bischoff
It's such a shame this little place is closing. We loved the fun STL themed mini golf and having a family-friendly destination tucked away in Affton is a great asset to the community. Everyone we have spoken to here has been warm, welcoming, and helpful. Tower Tee will be greatly missed.
Joe Kenney
Very well kept and well staffed driving range and practice facilities
Ben Collins
Clean place but Bring back to old mini golf course and not this boring course
Rick Drysdale
Best range around, especially when it's chilly out with it's heated tee boxes. Nice 18 hole par 3 course. Fun putt-putt course, plus batting cages, practice greens and sand trap. A real Jewel!
Alan Ramsey
Heated Tee Boxes, 2 chipping and putting greens, 18 holes of par 3, putt putt, they have it all. Staff is friendly and prices are average. Bob Gaus, one of the Pros there is great and his fees are very affordable.
Mark Miko
Good for a quick round to work on your short game. The upkeep of the grounds is average. The par 3 course has no crowds on early mornings, even on weekends.
Chris Green
Played the front 9 with my daughter for the last time last week, played minigolf with my son last night. Great place, too bad it is closed now.
For those who don't know, the sale of the land on which Tower Tee sat is contingent on it being re-zoned for residential use. If you do not want to see more green space converted to neighborhoods, show up to the city council meetings and help make your voice heard. #savetowertee (FB)
Hashtag being used as a place holder for those of us determined to prevent the rezoning of the land.
Rich Follen
What a great improvement on the old place. Worth the wait Best practice facility in town 👍🏻👍🏻 …
Ben Draffin
Probably the most boring minigolf course I've played on. Went because it was the closest in the area, but it was not worth the drive.
The main redeeming features were that it was $5 and they allow beer on the course you can buy from the clubhouse.
Also, if you do go, watch out for the dog one. It tends to trap balls underneath the feature
bill cramer
Great value clean fun.
Jeff Robinson (J-Rob)
Amazing condition. Gorgeous day to play 18 in January in Saint Louis! What a shame that we will be losing this Saint Louis classic next summer, due to more absolutely unnecessary real estate development.
Jordan Haar
Great place if your just starting golf or wanting to work on your short game. Very good price and the course is well maintained. I'll definitely be going back!
Caroline Moss
We love playing mini golf and the batting cages! Everyone is so friendly and the grounds are always well taken care of and clean.
Ben Oberkfell
The driving range has heated tees and is reasonably priced. The mini golf course is kind of meh, but my kid still enjoys it.
Andy Cigars
Great batting cages that throw over the top to give the batter a great sense of the ball. A perfect place for a family to spend time and have some great fun.
James Dorrington
Love these guys. They are the best driving range in St Louis! The putting green alone has help me shave strokes off my game.
Eric Soto
We did the mini golf but we also like the batting cages. This place is very economical but the mini golf is very simple. The staff is nice and personable.
Brad Brown
Nicely updated. Cages were nice. Great new playground
Todd Hanse
One of the few miniature golf locations remaining. They keep their coarse in top notch condition. Great for the whole family.
Kyle Ferguson
Great place to work on your short game or hit the driving range. Course is not always in the best condition, but definitely playable and worth the cheap fees
Tony S

John Shadley
Closing Day Party was fun but sad. Gonna miss this place.
David Pleimann
Great place to get in a quick round. It's an all par 3. The front nine is a bit shorter, the back nine is a bit longer. The course is in decent shape for the price.
Seth Coffel
Amazing, has a batting range a golf course and more
Dan Yancey
It's okay, but it's always pretty crowded. Prices aren't bad for balls but I always feel rushed when I'm there like someone is waiting for their turn or for me to leave.
Hannah
I loved it! It’s a nice place.
