Reviews of Pheasant Run Golf Course
Played Tuesday morning with my ladies group and cannot say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We have also played St. Ann and that course is a bit hostile and unwelcoming to women. I was on guard when I showed up here and was pleasantly surprised to be treated as a valued customer. The course is fun, pretty, and has variety.
We played under the lights for a few holes. They really don't illuminate well enough to watch well hit balls off the tee for the par holes. Definitely get a glow in the dark ball if you can.
The course is moderately well kept. What brings down its ranking is too many players abusing the course. There is too much trash and other debris on the course. It is a good course for anyone needing to get in their golf fix in a hurry.
Always busy but not a horrible course. Some difficult greens couple three triers. Very fun.
My wife and I have enjoyed this GOLF Course and their clubhouse facilities since 2012. From a beginners golf perspective, this par 3 is perfect for learning and the fees reasonable. My wife learned to play golf at this course!
In December 2018 we hosted a small wedding in the "Great Room" after my wife had admired the warmth and openness of the rear extension.
Recently we hosted a "Baby Reveal" for our daughter who was so enamored from her past experience there when she got married. Now our daughter is considering this location for her baby shower next February.
All of this to say, for smaller party's of 20 to 30, this location is more than adequate and very charming with food and beverage service as a wonderful plus.
Great and friendly staff across the board. Ive been to a lot of golf courses and none have more friendly staff from the front desk to greenskeepers than this place. The course is in a great condition. Great price for 18 holes and great quality of a course as well as fun to play.
The holes are all very short, which is fine if you're practicing your short game.
Nice, challenging par three. Plenty of water to keep it interesting.
It was a quick par 3 course. Lots of random hazards but over all pretty good course. Went when greens had just been aerated which made the short game hard. The course had lights for night golf which was cool, hard to find that. Would probably go back
Short executive course but the staff is A+ prices are great and it's really laid back great for a beginner tryna pick up golf
This is an 18 hole, executive course with 3 Par 4 holes, and 15 Par 3 holes. The course if fun to play and has lights so you can play after dark. It's not uncommon to have people teeing off at 8 pm in the summer to play 18 holes. It's a different experience.
This is an update to my previous review. I have three stars because the greens were in bad shape, but they hired a new superintendent and the greens are now in excellent condition.
I visited Sept 1, 2019. This was my first time golfing. I enjoyed it. I liked that this course did not require super long distances. I can't hit the ball that far. I think my husband described the course as a par 3 course. I liked the ponds with ducks. It was pretty with lots of green grass. I'd visit again.
Nice course, visited haven't played yet due to weather conditions
Going to play, course looks good driving around on road. Good pricing.
Great place to spend an evening with buds. Yes the waits sometimes are terrible. Yes the greens are terrible come about June... (fix your ball mark and one other please). But with the right coupon, the right 4some, it's always a fun night.
Took my daughter here for her first time on a course. She has been going to lessons for about 5 months now and this course was perfect for her to try out her new skills. We would come back for sure.
I have mixed opinions of this golf course. It was fun to play. Mainly par 3's with a few par 4's thrown in. It is not a very hard course but there is water hazards and bunkers to add to the difficulty.
The greens could be a little better, several greens had bare spots, some more than others, I included one picture. I did not think this course is worth the price they ask. You can find other courses just as nice at a lower price.
Had my son's 30th bday party there. Food was delicious a s staff was efficient and friendly.
Editing previous review. It is a fun par-3 course to play. I do believe it's priced above what it's worth but every now and again when I don't have a lot of time or want to play at night it meets the need. The staff is friendly. Course is in ok shape, staff makes an effort but it seems a lot of people don't fix their divots. Only bug to me other than price is it's tough to gauge when they are actually open at night. Just hit my first hole-in-one there so that was cool.
The group I went with had an odd experience today with someone at the course. I left a review on here and almost immediately got a call from Corey. He was unbelievable professional and polite. Although what led to review was not the best experience he was awesome and I am confident the issue will never be one again. Great course for a quick play for experanced golfers or beggingers.
Course in poor condition. Although I do understand most is from construction in various areas. However greens were chewed up. Clubhouse barely had anything to purchase as far as clothes and accessories. Did have the basics though. Employees always friendly and helpful. Can only imagine how much the pandemic hurt business that would have allowed better upkeep.
A very short course with only a couple par fours and no par fives. It was in decent condition and we were able to play at a nice pace, with no waiting for the group ahead of us (on a Friday morning). It's good for a quick round, but as I said, it is short. I used a sand wedge off of the tee for six or seven of the holes (we played 18). I paid $15 per person, with a cart, on Golf Now and wouldn't want to spend much more than that for what you get at this course.
I accidentally hit only 3 stars the other day. The driving range is actually great, even in the rain we were having over the weekend. The putting green could use better drainage, but again, raining. I'll be practicing here every Sunday. The pitch & putt will come in very handy, and might get the 5th star.. They also have clubs you can use if you just need to go swing some & don't have your clubs in the car.
This is a great place for a quick 9 hole round. The greens are very well taken care of. The holes are fun to play with the lake on the front 9. The staff are always friendly and quick to help you. The chicken wrap at the bar is amazing!
Great for night golf. Staff can be helpful at times but usually seem like they could care less.
The last 3 times we have played we have had an issue:
-Being told we could play 18, but then told after playing 9 that they were shutting down and we could only play 14 holes (wanted to turn the lights off) and would be given a raincheck for remaining holes. There were at least 7 or 8 other groups on the front and back at this time.
-Being told we could only play 9, but when making the turn, saw 3 groups in front of us tee off at 10. When we asked if we could pay to play the last 9, we were told the registers were closed but we could pay cash....except they don't have an atm.
-There are always people cutting ahead of groups or driving back and forth through the course playing random holes. Frustrating when everyone else must be patient with fellow golfers slowing down pace of play.
Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that we can play on a summer Friday night and escape the heat of the day, I'd give this establishment a 1-star review and never return. This is also the only reason it's worth $30+ for an 18 hole executive course.
I do like the people there they are all really nice even when u leave a club on the course they help track it down as long as it is turned in 2 clubhouse they could use a little more light on the back few holes though
Greens have holes the size of quarters EVERYWHERE, every two inches apart. u can forget your putting game, it doesnt matter how good you are these holes will ruin your putting lines. Other than that course is fun but costly considering it a small part 3 course. Almost as much as a full size course with half the distance.
Par 3 course that has 3 par 4 holes I believe, maybe only 2, I forget. The price is high for what you get in my opinion. You can usually play a full 18 holes somewhere else for about the same price. But, it's a neat little course, and a good time.
Cool experience here night golfing. It can get a little crowded and the tee boxes and the greens are beyond rough, but for the money and the ability to play at night, it's still a great value. I would recommend it for a nice night out with the guys!!!
As usual, I really enjoyed playing a round today. They were busy, but we expected that on the first decent day in a while. However, one inconsiderate fellow, giving instruction to a couple young people held us up. At one time, there were four groups sitting idly while those three folks did their thing.
I’ve been there twice, and I think it’s great. Love the lights, and the course was in pretty good shape. I’m a terrible golfer but I sure have fun playing here. Great staff as well.
Nice little course used to play it all the time with my grandfather. Staff is always friendly
Decent rates. Night golf is fun but course can hold water making for some soggy areas. A few par 4's make up for the lack of length. Good for all golfers.
The nine hole regular course is in decent shape. Playing at night, it was disappointing that the most integral light(covers the main landing area on the longest hole - 7) is completely out causing lost balls group after group.
Pheasant run is an 18 hole executive course with a mix of par three and par 4 holes. Fairways were in great condition but the greens showed some heat stress. The staff from the grounds crew to the pro shop couldn't be better. Covid wise I couldnt have felt safer with the health plan they follow.
For what you are paying, this is a perfectly fine executive golf course. You have a few par fours that allow you to use a driver. There are some good hazards along the way.
The can be a little short staffed at times, but it usually doesn't interfere too much.
Awesome atmosphere, great course. The tee boxes and greens get a lot of play but I love the setup
I was here first time and new to golfing. Then I visit here every week now. Nice place for some cheap and best golf in St. Louis. The staff here is very friendly and very good in explaining stuff for first timers.
Very nice well maintained golf course highly recommended from the simple 100 yarders to the 300+ all around great golf course
It's a par 3 executive course that you will use almost every club in your bag. Slightly pricey, but with the only night course in the area.... worth it.
They have a slight goose problem, but have an awesome German Sheppard that patrols the course to keep them at bay. (he's super friendly too).
Nice relaxing round of golf. Greens are nice and staff is friendly. Forgiving for lousy golfers like myself.
Fun course to play. Greens are in rough shape on most of the course. Regardless it's a good test of your iron game.
Course was just ok, could use some water
Great family environment. Never a wait to get assistance whether its advice, lessons, or equipment. Staff is top notch and the club is very affordable.
Was able to take a six and an eight-year-old and have a good time the golf fees and green fees are very reasonable golf courses in good quality condition that you would expect for that golf experience
Wonderful experience every time! The coarse is very well manicured and cared for. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next round at Pheasant Run.
People are extremely nice. Love playing this short par 3 course - the greens need some help bad though. Lots of dead spots, fungus?
If you are ever playing this course, stop in the club house for a beer and a hot dog. One of the best dogs ever, all beef and delicious! I like the back 9 the best.
Quaint course. Good for practicing your short game. Though there are a couple of wholes for good for a low number iron, or fairway wood.
Played the front nine with my father; an enjoyable course with a range of difficulties. If you'd prefer a quieter nine, do 10-18, as the front nine skim close to the main road.
We played after dark, lighted course was great and well kept.
Took almost an hour to get through 2 holes on a Wednesday night. They gave us a rain check and said it's really crowded on Wednesday and Friday nights and to come another day. Seems like they stacked tee times too close though
Quick 9 with my son. I want my ball back from this dude.
It was perfect for a beginner or if you need to practice your short irons.
A great place to play. Being a beginner it is nice to have a place to play that is reasonable and easy to get to. Staff is always friendly and the beer is cold.
I've been to the driving range & pitch n putt. Great family outing with older kids!
Good and affordable for a senior citizen!
Best practice in town. Best practice for anyone's game. Or just a good time for the whole family.
This is the best miniature golf! There is so much shade so you can go even when its hot and be comfortable.
Pretty good condition for a primarily par 3 course. Staff in the clubhouse was very accommodating after a few delays on the tee time.
A great executive golf course. Three par 4 holes, and the rest are par 3s. A fun course to play.
1. The greens are nappy
2. They don't let you fish
3. Workers are d-bags
5. Night golf is fun👍🏼 …
Always a fun course with a great staff. Would recommend to anyone looking for a executive par 3 to play.
At the family golfplex. Had a great time but the Putt Putt area is in need of repair. Loose bricks are a problem!
Had a great time. Course was very dry and didn't seem very well maintained.
A fun little par three course but it's typically just so crowded. Holes are so close it can be dangerous to miss hit!
played with my grandson today. Playing pace was good course in goog good shape
Book a tee time around 8 and play til midnight in the dark. It's awesome.
Fantastic service, good food, priced competitively. Enjoyed the 18 holes of night golf.
It was an ok golf course. I hadn't golfed 8n awhile so for starting out it was alright.
I played mini golf with my youngest grandson, and we had a great time! Fair prices and friendly staff!
Nice golf course. Looked a little rough but it was very windy and still early in the year...
Went at night for some lit, par 3 golf. It was fun and a good course for a good price.
Nice easy course. Will be back.
Good value and fun course. Not quite as well maintained as it used to be.
My grandson works there. Its a very nice course and they also have a Putt-Putt course.
Par 3 course with two par 4 holes. Carts available. Pretty flat.
Always a great time when you get to play a round of golf at night. Wish more lights were on.
Course is ok. It's a very public night course but league is fun there.
Great course, super helpful staff and instructors! Enjoy myself every time! Thanks
First time golfing really enjoyed the facility and and the people that worked there
Great experience, course was good, not bad due to late conditions of greens. Overall good visit
For this time a year, it's in pretty good shape. Very slow play on Sundays though!
Played with friends always nice staff nice course in pretty good shape
Course was in decent shape greens are in bed shape right now though.
Nice course for practicing short game, personnel are friendly and accommodating.
Greens aren't in the best shape but the ability to play later at night is a huge benefit
Nice driving range. The heated tees are lovely on cool days.
Great place for a quick round of golf that is run by nice people.
First time playing here. I was in Ofallon for work. Very nice. Great time.
Check it out!
Nice course but could use work on the greens because they are terrible
Pretty fun, the mini putput course floods when it rains though.
What a fun place. The course is in fantastic shape.
Great golf course. Excellent staff. Friendly service.
Range balls are better. Staff is always polite good time
Nice staff...we had a fun and productive day working on our irons and putting...
A fun little 2 to 3 hour escape for some good golf.
Not many clubs to choose from if renting for driving range, but decent range.
My place I golf at and where I shot the course record one magical night !
Didnt say anywhere when I booked Tee time that it was a par 3 Golf Course
