Reviews of Riverbend Golf Course
The course is in great shape. A couple challenging holes, but for the most part pretty wide fairways. Fast greens with lots of unforeseen breaks. The sand is pretty compact so stay outta that if you can. Awesome views of the Wasatch mountains.
Really fun course to play. The different tee boxes make it interesting, regardless of your skill level. Also, especially considering how hot and dry this year has been, the course is in phenomenal shape.
Nice place for golfing. The store has a good selection and a pretty good little shop for breakfast and lunch. Enjoyed my time being around here, it’s quite a nice facility!
I'm not much of a golfer yet, just getting started with it this year but I've played several rounds here and have always thought the course is well kept, the carts are clean and getting a Tee time is always pretty easy. My only complaint and maybe this is normal but you have to rent a cart "per person".
River Bend is one of my favorite golf courses in The Valley. The greens are well maintained. It as the perfect mixture of extremely difficult holes and ones that I can actually do OK. If you've never T off on the 10th hole and senior ball fly from a 60 yd drop onto a fairway it's worth experiencing.
I play at Riverbend more than any other local course. Love this course. Great holes and scenery. Course has been in great shape. Really appreciate how kind and helpful the crew at the club house has been. Especially Willie. Highly recommend Riverbend!
Beautiful day and a nice course. Still allot of brown patches which is to be expected with early season rounds. I would like to come back in a month and try again.
Nice views and course!
My favorite course in the valley. If you are only doing 9 try getting off the back its the more scenic side.
I like this corse a lot. Everything was well kept. Club house could use some work but always fun nevertheless.
I played a round November 5th 2021 and the course was in great condition for fall golf. Look forward to playing in 2022 and beyond.
Update October 2022 and the course was beautiful 😍 …
Very nice course! Greens were great, always have a great time here!
Loved my experience here. There are a few holes that are close to roadways without nets. That kind of made me nervous. The greens were a little rough and the cups somewhat volcanoes instead of sitting down in more. The rest is very well maintained and a fun course to play.
Great staff & a fun course to play! Greens are in good condition!
The front 9 at River bend is one of my favorite places to golf! I only gave 3 stars because they charge your card when making a tee time, so you have to ask your golf partners to pay you. It would be nice if you could reserve the tee-time on one card and then when your group checks in they could pay individually. When you have one or two tee-times it’s no big deal, but sometimes I need to book 4 to 6 tee-times. Then it becomes a chore to collect payment from 16-24 people!
Nice course overall. There were some water hazards but they were so covered in cat trails you couldn't tell they were there. Beautiful view around the valley from several holes up on the hills. But for me personally there were too many short holes on the back 9. 4 of them were short enough it was one shot with an iron and you were on the green. And MAN that greens were fast. Fun course though. Cost $17 to walk and $25 to ride a cart.
This course is super fun to play! It brings a challenge though on some of the holes. It has a really good variety of elevation and flat fairways. The pace stays pretty good at this golf course. I personally think the back 9 are easier that the front 9...but both are super fun to play!
Great course and great staff.
Course is most always in good shape. Staff is great to work with. Love playing here. FYI end of April beginning of May greens get punched and sanded. Hate to play on them but appreciate the benefits later in the season.
This is a fun course to play, there is good variety in the holes. A lot of variation in elevation and layout. There are some risk/reward holes that allows for some thought provoking shots. Only complaint is that it’s been historically crowded, but that’s due to being a really good public course. If your looking for a quick round this is not your place. Driving range is a little weird hitting off a high elevation and tough to judge distances, not useful for practice IMO or swing work, but adequate for warm up.
Good course and a great staff Adam and Diane are awesome i really enjoy playing Riverbend. Also the greens this year are the best they have ever been. Great work to the grounds crew out there as well
Love this course. Grass was a little dry, greens were a little furry but I feel they are being responsible for our drought conditions. Course still plays excellent!!
Definitely not the best golf course I've been to, but it is one of the most peaceful ones. The course is never crowded and you never feel rushed as you're playing. The prices are really good for what you're getting and it's just a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend for anyone who isn't picky about the courses they play on and who wants a good game on a tight budget!
Got yelled at for letting 2 groups go through not a fan..we have amateurs learning and we were chastised for doing the right thing. Not sure how I feel about it. People play at the pace they play. Course is great tho😁 …
I love this course, but they will not hesitate to put people in your group if you don’t have up to four. Just called to join a buddy’s reservation and they already filled the openings with another twosome. I only want my group to know I suck at golf :(
It is a fun link course. There are many obstacles that can eat your balls right away and so be aware. Fairways and sands are well maintained. Greens are very decent. Wind can be quite troublesome especially on back 9.
You can easily walk front 9 but all 18 will be tough especially at 16/17th with steep up hills.
Club house staff was friendly and very polite.
Beautiful Views
It is a little hard to find but when you do it's beautiful. The clubhouse sits at the top of the course and looks out over most the holes. The driving range it's fun to play because it's a drop off so it always feels like you're hitting farther than you do. It could use a little better upkeep but overall it's fantastic course.
The course itself is nothing special, by employees are nice and it's in good shape. I wasn't a fan of the layout too terribly much, but to each his own. Definitely not the most challenging but I support all public golf courses that make an effort and they appear to!
The staff has been great and the pricing is fair. Occasionally the sprinklers are on while we are trying to play and there is almost always standing water or swampy areas in several sections of the fairway. Overall it is a very fun course with a challenging back 9. It could however use a little more attention in the grounds keeping and sprinkler run time.
Very beautiful golf course. It is in a quiet location and is great to play. Every time I go, they do have some areas closed off for repairs and they are always the same areas. I don't know if these are problem areas or if they just haven't been able to deal with them yet (it's been more than a year). I will still continue golfing here even with the areas under repair.
It is a nice course that is well maintained. The staff is friendly and the food was good. The driving range is on a giant Hill so you can't gauge distance on it, just to warm up or practice. Quite fun actually.
I just started golfing, but I've found this course to be really enjoyable. The grill area is really nice, and the workers are really pleasant. I'm always surprised by how wet the course is early in the morning, even though it hasn't rained in a minute.
Riverbend has some really scenic views for being smack in the middle of the valley. There's a nice variety of hole layouts and rarely do layouts allow errant shots into neighboring fairways. Some of the greens could use a little better loving. The layout of holes 8/9/18 are a bit odd because you drive/walk through #10 tee.
Pace of play was good, corse was still manicured well even being in the off season. Staff was very friendly and helpful (thank you Diana). I would definitely like to play it in the summer.
This is a fun, well cared for course. It's close to home so I've started golfing here more. I had previously rated it at 2 stars because a couple years ago I golfed the front 9 with a friend on my birthday. It was really hot and I played horribly. Since then, I got some new clubs and stepped up my game. I'm also not afraid to give myself an extra mulligan or two so my scores are better. Now I think it's a pretty decent place to golf.
One of my favorite courses in the Salt Lake valley. You'll find good diversity in the course that you don't normally find elsewhere. Prices are reasonable, but tee times usually fill up quick. It's best to schedule your tee time at least a week in advance if you're going on a weekend.
Riverbend is a fun course that has always been in nice shape when I've played. May favorite holes are #'s 6, 10, 11, 13. It's nice to have your driver warmed up for that fun elevated tee shot on #10. Riverbend does have a little bit of elevation changes that make the walk a bit more of a workout than others, but not bad at all.
This is a nice relaxing course. It's not too difficult, but challenging enough to keep it interesting. The grounds are well maintained. The service was friendly at the pro shop. All in all a relaxing place for a round.
Went for sledging in winters .. love it .. one of the best place for adults and big kids to sledge.. sorry haven't been for golfing so no review regarding that 😅 …
Nice course. Not very green for all the rain lately
Nice course. Clean and well run. They stage the tee times 10 min apart and it ran smoothly. The food at the clubhouse is surprisingly good 👍 …
Not much of a driving range or a place to practice but the course (especially the back 9) is always in good shape and fun to play
Beautiful course with views of the Wasatch Mountain Range. Moderately difficult course with long par 4s and 5s. Minimal facilities but still a good experience at a good value.
Would have given a 5 if more of my putts would have went in...
Love this course. Pretty fun track with some challenging holes that make you use all of your arsenal. Definitely a one of the better courses in the valley! Comparative to Riveroaks, but longer.
Beautiful course. A wonderful walk and lots of excercise. My score was acceptable (46). Very good views all around. I even found 2 balls, lost none.
Great course. Great speed. Can’t say anything bad about this course.
Fun local course with a good layout. The front nine is easier to walk then the back nine but can definitely walk the entire course if you want
This was my 2nd time golfing this course, the first time was when it was only a year or two old. I really like this course, the staff was very friendly and they have a ranger that does his job well. Love this course!!!
Driving golf balls with a view like this is unbeatable! Not to mention in the winter time this is one of the best places to go sledding in town if you can hike the hill more than three times. If they put a tug rope in and charged 5$ it would slay it and become the best known in town sledding hill for kids of all ages.
Nice course, varied holes, great views. Week maintained. A little local knowledge is helpful, esp. on the front. They have no drinking water on the course, better bring lots yourself.
In better shape than it has been in years past but they still stack tee times too closely. Plan on slow play on good weather days.
I think the course is fun, mostly because it's easy and I suck. It's a great priced and they don't overload the course. I can always get done with 9 in 2:15. The staff is nice and helpful.
Very accesible for a quick game. When it's windy in the area the course gets very gusty.
Don’t bother with a tee time. They’ll send people out right in front of your group. We tried playing a wide open back nine but weren’t allowed. So now I’m sitting behind a stacked tee box. Their time management is garbage.
Beautiful and well maintained course. We had a great time this morning chipping a few buckets of balls. Such a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning.
Had great time. Greens are "punched" so they were pretty bumpy & slow. Still a fun course to play.
This is a fun golf course, yet challenging. If the bunkers and greens were in better shape, ineould give it a 5 star. Great Muni course though.
Beautiful well kept course!! The driving range is in a steep hill side so it's fun, but you can really judge your distance too well.
Not a bad experience. Could have more trees. Was a pretty hot day and didnt offer much in the way of shade. Overall it is a good course to shoot a quick nine.
Have been going to riverbend since I was 14 and my experiences have only gotten better. A few days ago I left my amex gift card in the pro shop and since it didn't have my name on it they had to go through and search the transactions to find out who's card it was. They went above and beyond by putting in that extra effort for me and I got a call the next day saying they had found my card. Great service, beautiful course, affordable green fees.
Very nice course, tough course they always have nice greens. Prices are reasonable as well.
Riverbend is one of our favorite courses. It's scenic with interesting holes and the staff is friendly. The greens are well kept.
Good if you like golfing of not no but it is good so ueah gulf
Good course. Greens can be a little hit and miss. The back nine is much more interesting than the front so playb18 if you can!
It's a great course and they are doing a lot of work on it. Really nice friendly people work there.,
Enjoyable course. Very playable. Not in and out of homes. Typically in pretty good condition.
The Riverbend Golf Course is in a beautiful location in Riverton, and the course is well maintained. The pros in the shop are great too. I love this course.
This is a fun course and well kept for a city course. The price is good and they are nice when you go to pay. The food is pretty good and the course is fun to play.
Good little course. It has a nice flow with some tricky holes. It is a well maintained course and the staff is super friendly.
Love the staff here. Always happy to help and to talk to. Shout out to Adam for giving me a golf tip that really helped.
The course is in good shape. The holes have some good variety. The fairways are reasonably wide
Greens were a little beat up. This is a tough course. Really fun though. I would recommend it to anyone who can keep the ball on the fairway.
Beautiful course and a gorgeous day with low scores ... what's not to like
It's a good public course with enough variety to be fun but not super tough. This is my favorite south valley public course.
One of my go-to courses... Not because it is anything amazing, but because it's convenient, it's semi challenging and I don't lose a dozen balls per round.
Staff is always super nice. Course is pretty well maintained most of the time and its located in a convenient spot.
Plays slow, always overbooked, not riverbends fault but noone there fixes their divots. Greens were very nice otherwise
The course is in really good shape other than one green on the back nine!
Considering how early in the season it was, the course was in great shape
Great course. Pretty wide open and not very long either.
Great course. Open fairways and greens
Pretty fun course. I'm not sure the name of the guy in the pro shop but he was a puke but other than that it was a fun course.
I like playing in the course but their greens are awful. Not maintained at all. It's sanded throughout the year.
Riverbend is always a fun golf course. It's challenging but great for all levels of golfers.
The fairways and greens are not to a professional levels. But sufficient to have a good time. Good staff!
Great golf course and a great value. Course can get a bit dry in the summer and the pace of play can lag a bit.
Great course to blow off steam. Recently booked a couple of hours with the guys at the office and had a blast!
The course is in good shape! It played true. Good views and enjoyable environment.
Great course as always with the exception of aerated greens but we have to deal with that for great greens later in the year.
Good course. Very well maintained.
Beautiful golf course at which I set a record. Most lost balls in a single round!!!
Overall decent track. Back 9 is better than the front. Staff is typically rude for the most part.
First time back at Riverbend in 10 years...what were we thinking..Great Course ..Great Shape..We will be back soon
Great course with wonderful views of the mountains, highly playable but not a pushover.
Great 👍 course, the greens today were slow and bumpi …
Course is always in great shape and staff ensures play is timely.
Great winter golf today at Riverbend. Greens weren't too bad. Great weather.
It's a really fun course. Grass was healthy and it was inexpensive. It is a forgiving course.
We call it River Wind. It's in a beautiful setting, good course, plenty hard, often windy.
It was in great shape. Good layout for all levels. Need to hit controlled drives.
Hard course, veiw awesome. Just people need to fix there diviets on the green. Other then at awsome course
Clean facilities. Some tee boxes were a little bare, but overall a good experience.
Course was in great condition. The service was exceptional. Very affordable ad well.
Great course and staff. Challenging enough to be fun for all skills
No water fountains anywhere on the course. But it's a pretty fun course!!
Greens are rough due to aeration. They should warn people before spending $50.00 for the round. Or lower the prices when they punch the greens.
Had a fun 9 holes with my brother and brother-in-law!!
Riverbend was in very good shape today. Greens were nice and course was very nice.
Awesome course for the price. The golf staff is always friendly.
Greens almost better from aeration and sand treatment ball striking was great wind was fierce
Fun, relaxing, and beautiful. It's one of my favorite courses.
Greens have kind of gone to the crapper, but overall a fun course
Good course. It is very well kept in my opinion for a public course.
I love this course. Challenging but not impossible.
Good course. Decently maintained. Good staff. Always windy.
Great experience. The guy at the cafe was very nice.
Always love this course! Sunk a 50 footer for birdie on 15!
Plays great and hazards, while avoidable, give the novice a welcomed challenge. Nicely maintained.
Well taken care of for late November. Great holes. Friendly staff.
Very average course, nothing made me want to come back. Enjoyable round
Great course! Always pretty quiet with an early tee time.
Very nice golf course.
Enjoyed playing the course.
Good course. Greens are aerated and sanded right now so they r not easy.
Nice course, can get windy at times. Great staff.
Love Riverbend! Nearly every hole presents it's own challenge and unique experience.
It was fun to play there. Even though I suck at golf
Great course. Love playing it when I come to SLC.
