Great track, exceptional muni and such a value. Played the Canyon course and loved it. The front nine is fairly straight forward but the back nine is where the "Canyon" lives and makes for some challenging holes. Starting to make a Salt Lake City trip a yearly thing with my Son to try all their City courses. Love SLC golf!

I played the canyon course on a Saturday morning. It only took 3.5 hours to play 18 holes, which is unheard of, especially on a public course. The course was gorgeous and well maintained. The greens were extremely fast, however, but that just added more challenge to the course. I really enjoyed the time there.

This is a very scenic and well laid out golf course located a few miles up parleys Canyon. The temperature is sometimes 10 to 20° cooler up here when it’s unbearable down in the valley. The golf course is also open during the winter for cross country skiing and sledding and was one of the venues for the 2002 winter Olympics

Fair condition. Nice scenery. A little over crowded and slow for a Thursday afternoon. Very challenging. If you're not a good golfer bring a lot of balls.

Didn't go to Golf. Around the back side by holes 11 and 15 is a park. George Washington Park! Such a beautiful place. Mountain setting but a Park. Playground, pavilion, horse shoes, bathrooms, and nature. Dang Squirrel wouldn't hold still. Running around like he's got ADHD. Photographers paradise

Plan on donating golf balls to the surrounding trees and long grass. Wear long pants if you insist on going into the thick stuff to get them though. If you do find the fairway it is an amazing experience and you feel great getting that hard earned par.

A short drive east of Salt Lake City on I-80 tucked away in the side of the mountain is a slice of golfing heaven, with two different sets of holes. Quiet, breath taking, challenging, and yet very approachable. Your good walk will not be ruined at this well maintained and well equipped golf course.

Beautiful course with great customer service. The facility was perfect for hosting the tournament I was golfing in. The course itself and cart trails could use a little more attention, but ultimately it’s a great place to golf. I look forward to returning.

I played the Canyon course. Apparently, there are two practice greens. I warmed up on the green for the Lake course and it was a lot quicker than the greens on the Canyon course. The rough is deep and hitting the ball in there cost me strokes. The cool breeze on a hot day with the beautiful trees and mountains made for a great experience. The guy I was paired with made it even better. Steve had local knowledge and experience and was great about sharing.

Love the wildlife we encounter on this course. We saw coyotes and deer and a red tailed hawk catching one of the ground squirrels last night. Thank you for making it a great place to golf without eradicating the wildlife. The course is challenging but very scenic and fun. And the staff is always friendly and helpful. Definitely one of my favorites.

The course is gorgeous and fun to play. However, there is rarely if ever a starter and twice in the last week I've gotten bunched up for 20+ minutes waiting to tee off. Best golf cafe I've been to. The view is unbelievable and the food is amazing. It's worth visiting even if you don't golf.

This is one of the best public courses in the state without question! They offer thirty six holes (Lake and Canyons) along with a full driving range. The play is typically quick and the Pro's/Starters have been working here forever and know there stuff.

The sledding up here is incredible. We live about an hour away and come here. It can be crowded for sure but it’s worth it. Lots of space, can accommodate lots of people (TONS of people). Major tip - DONT START DOWN THE HILL WITH INFLATABLE TUBES BY THE FENCE!!! (You’ll see what I mean when you get there) I saw at least 5 tubes pop in 1 hour. It’ll wreck your day! - start to the right side of the hill by the trees. Avoid the fence! But a really really good time!

I love playing golf at this course. However their policy of not letting people especially seniors like me book a 9 hole round in the cool hours stinks. You can only book a 9 hole round after 3 p.m. The Director of Golf for the Salt Lake City course or perhaps Mayor Mendenhall should end this.

Beautiful location. All the employees were fantastic that I interacted with. I didn't actually golf, however, our group of 180 golfers had excellent feedback. I'm certain many of them will be back on their own time!

Pretty nice course in the mountains. 2 sets of 18 hole courses. Canyon course was a nice break from the norm running up the canyon. Should certainly be played by those looking to get out of the valley.

Played 18 on the lake course. The greens were well maintained and the views were incredible. I'm not the best golfer so the fairways were a bit narrow for me. The pace of play was great. We grabbed a burger for lunch afterward. The food was great and the service was incredible, despite the fact that the server was working solo and it was very busy. Can't wait to come check out the other course!

Played mid day as a single walk up. Had to rent clubs due to airline sending mine to a different city. Rentals were new ping clubs in good shape. Course was in good shape, given how dry it seems to have been. Got paired with another local single that was a great "tour" guide.

The course itself is in a beautiful area, and the views are amazing. Course was backed up, they didn’t call names for tee times, just had people line up and go when they were ready. Teed off about 20 minutes late due to this, but the pace was good after we got going. Saw deer and a coyote and a moose by the lake. Potguts are everywhere. The fairways were in pretty bad shape, but due to the drought it might just be because they are focusing on keeping the greens good with the limited water they have. Definitely worth playing a round here.

I didn't golf the course. I took my boys up for lessons with Jackson Shaver. It was a great experience. My boys really enjoyed it and he did a great job of getting them started and having a good building experience. I will continue to use him for lessons.

Little slow of a round (almost 5 hrs) and the greens were pretty poor. The rest of the course was very well maintained, and the views are always nice.

Love this place. Usually I've seen wildlife like moose there but this time only potguts. I think some people call them ground squirrels. "Lots". Lost a few golf balls but had a great time. I thank my boys for a great father's day.

Cooler temperatures than the courses in the valley in the summer. The Lake Course is my favorite. Very interesting layouts and exciting challenges.

Great golf course, but you will lose a lot of golf balls and it is very steep. Also there are many gophers everywhere on the course. The greens are really nice and course is in excellent condition. Definitely a higher-end course and its pretty big. Overall, great course IF YOU HAVE A CART.

Played the lake course today and it was very nice. Course was in great shape. Wildlife was out - saw mama moose and two little moose babies. Couldn't have asked for a better place to play on a nice summer day. In some spots there is freeway noise but it only distracted me once or twice. The course can be confusing at times because signage is poor in areas - especially when you have to cross the bridge back to play the 8th hole.

Beautiful course! I came in from out of state and went to this course at the suggestion of a friend. I loved the sceney of the mountain backdrop. Course has an interesting layout and was really fun to play. Guy in the pro shop in Ute paraphernalia was amazingly rude. Maintenance crew in their Ute paraphernalia (common theme?) were irritated that we had the nerve to be on their course while they were mowing??? On two different holes mowed on the green while we were chipping on. The manic big kid managing the golf carts was aggressively driving and parking the carts with complete disregard to anyone around him. If you can get over the mean people there I definitely recommend the course.

I’ve only played this course once but it was such a pretty course that I’m sure I’ll be back soon. Located up Parley’s Canyon is nice because it gets you out of the city and you’re surrounded by beautiful mountains. It is just off of I-80 so there is a lot of traffic going up and down the canyon but it doesn’t seem to detract from the scenery as much as you would think. I wasn’t a fan of the gas powered golf carts but I got over it pretty quickly since it was better than walking. Being that it’s a county course it was still pretty affordable for 18-holes for an amateur like me.

Sledding up here in the winter is awesome. Be careful, they didn't have any of the parking lot lights on and they have metal-post fences around the greens and near the clubhouse. The hill puts you right into one of them, at speed. Start after the first group of trees on the 18th green and you should be golden.

Both the Canyon Course and the Lake Course were amazing!!! Both were in excellent shape and the wide life and scenic views can't be beat. The staff was really accommodating and very friendly. The pace of play was great, 18 holes in roughly 4.5 hours. Will definitely be returning to play these course in the future!!!

I've Only Used Their Driving Range And Putting Green. But This Is My Favorite Driving Range To Practice At. I Prefer It Because Your Hitting Off Real Grass Instead Of Turf. Also The Service From Every Employee Has Always Been Delightful.

Lake Course: Nice moderate course with a beautiful scenery. Love the look of #4 hole (over the reservoir). Canyon Course: Back 9 is tough. You can easily lose your balls and shoot high score here. A lots up & down with a beautiful scenery. You may see deer, hawk, elk and will see many ground squirrels. I noticed the club staff look down customers.

Mountain Dell is an fantastic track. We lost 3 balls in Prarie dog holes, but if you stay on the fairway it won't happen. The pro shop staff are top notch.

Great to get out of the city, the two courses give a good variety while both being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I'd recommend this to anyone from in or out of town. I prefer lake side myself.

I love early morning golf at Mountain Dell GC. Fun course, unique holes and wonderful nature. The potguts are a nuisance but the foxes and coyotes are healthy. Generally you'll see deer and/or moose. For fun you can try to run over a potgut (always unsuccessfully) with your golf cart. The restaurant is pretty good with a nice deck and a beautiful view. I'd give them 5 stars if they'd allow normal tee times again. Bring back 1 week advanced tee times and paying at the club house. The staff are much more friendly than the average public course.

Went here on the spur of the moment to get a round. The course is in superb condition. is challenging and beautiful. The staff were helpful beyond expectation. The members made me very welcome. One of the best rounds I have had. Would recommend to anyone who wants a game in SLC.

Beautiful course. Hard to keep the grounds up when there are voles everywhere. Definitely get a course map. Not super clearly marked. There's a Lake course and a Canyon course so be aware of what you're signed up for

Beautiful course! Played all 18 holes for the first time here. The scenery is to die for. We were lucky enough to see a moose lounging on the side lines of the 9th hole. The only unpleasant part of this course was the golf marshal. He was rude, irritating and full of nonsense. This dude stalked us for 3 holes and had me to the point of becoming belligerent. There was no reason to push us through when the team behind us was 10 minutes from even coming close to having to wait on us. Best part was about the 16th hole we saw a dude wandering the bush picking up rogue balls in a mechanics outfit. Closest thing I've seen yet to Bill Murray's character from Caddy Shack.

Probably the best Salt Lake City Muni course, 36 holes played as the lake course and the mountain course. Both have pretty big elevation changes over the 18 holes. Generally in excellent condition. Has a grass driving range in okay shape. Overall for the price hard to beat. Can be busy and will sometimes play slow on weekends but during the week is usually fine. Plenty of parking.

Two courses and a driving range. Lakes course is more challenging than Canyons. Both provide good views and frequent opportunities to see wildlife. Friendly staff in the pro shop. Reserve online or they can help with a tee time by phone or in the shop.

Mountain Dell golf course is one of my favorites because it’s so beautiful and in the summertime you can get away from the heat in the valley. There are some pretty tight holes so bring some extra balls unless you’re a scratch golfer

Unassuming course located in the foothills. We played the Canyon layout and while it was relatively straight, the rough was thick and there was well placed hazard to force you to think about your tee shots. Greens were slightly more difficult than average. Not the best infrastructure in terms of cart paths, facilities, etc.

Went to snowshoe, a bit too warm. Kids had a great time with their sleds. Steep hill, lots of cross country skiing terrain, snowshoeing and it's free. Drive up, take your snow equipment, get fresh air.

WASHINGTON TERRACE Great venue with tons of tables, shade and open areas. Because it is located next to a golf course, some golfers might get upset if your group is rowdy. Volleyball cement pad is falling apart and shoes are required. There is a small stream that comes through as well, so if you play volleyball, you'll we wading into the stream to get ball at least once.

They have a EV charging station here so they support the environment. I don't know how their golfing is but they've earned my business.
