Reviews of Lakeside Golf Course
I really enjoyed playing the best round of my life here. I’ve never played at 4200 feet before. I had to club down on every hole. The course is well maintained. The greens are small, making them a challenge.
Really nice public course! Decent price as well. Everything is still nice and green, unlike many others I have golfed on lately. Back 9 is definitely more challenging than the front, but still manageable for amateurs like myself. Super friendly (and pretty) lady at the snack bar, made us an excellent burger and tots (extra crispy), super yummy. I highly recommend the jalapeño sticky burger, don’t worry it’s not very spicy at all. Will definitely return to this course soon. Thanks for the wonderful afternoon!
This was my first time golfing at Lakeside. Beautiful course, well taken care of. It was a busy day after a few days of rain. The Marshall was very polite and made sure everyone was moving along. Stopped in for lunch. Lots to choose from on the menu. The ladies were super sweet and accommodating. The food was really really good. 👌 I chuckled, but was pleasantly surprised at the basket in the ladies bathroom that offered tampons and some hairspray! I loved that little touch. Super thoughtful. I can't wait to go back. OH! That back nine is so cool. It's a rough one from 11 to 13, but that is was makes it so much fun.
Lakeside is always accommodating for our group with young golfers. Our grandsons love to play at Lakeside and especially their summer youth program. Growing the game of golf is a high priority at Lakeside and I appreciate their willingness to let young players have fun.
Thank You !
I hate to say these things out loud because I don’t want it to change, but Lakeside is one of my favorite courses. It’s usually easy to get on, the pace of play is almost always perfect, the course is really well maintained (although a little swampy sometimes) and everyone is super friendly! Plus who can pass up perfectly crispy tater tots and a cold beer!?!
Had an excellent day of golf and the staff was outstanding. First round of golf in over 10 years so I have a lot of relearning to do. Know that this course will be my first choice to get back into the sport.
Such a great place and environment to be in. Welcoming, comfortable, and everyone is so kind and nice. Kristin at the cafe especially makes our day and takes care of us. Love golfing here.
Besides the mosquitos, this course is great! The staff is one of the bests
Great day for golf. Despite the fact it was 27 November, 45 degrees, the course was in good shape. My son and I had a blast.
When I booked my tee time the boy that helped me was super sweet! The course was nice and the restroom clean and well maintained. I did feel a little like we had other golfers on our tail early on and felt a little packed in but since it looked like it was that way for everyone it was totally fine. The few people we interacted with were kind and courteous. Only gave 4 star review because on check in for tee time the kid wasn’t very friendly when we asked about a map. We have only been here once before and weren’t sure what the setup would be
Great golf course for the price. I really like the driving range because it’s a natural grass platform that you swing from. The front and back courses are both a lot of fun. And the value is very good for what you get to do. Definitely not the best course in the world but very good bang for your buck.
Had a decent experience at Lakeside Golf Course. I used the Wasatch savings book to golf 18 holes with a cart for $14. Hard to beat that! I was also able to walk in and get on as a single right away. The course was super backed up on the front 9 due to a few groups of old folks walking and putting up 10 strokes per hole.
This is a pretty entry level golf course with wide fairways and not a lot of hazards. I saw a lot of retired folks and young kids, so be prepared to see slow play and un-repaired ball marks on greens. Also, the greens are lightning fast.
Very fun course. There are a lot of unique holes and pace of play was good. The staff in the cafe is fantastic, always helpful and kind. Negative: Tee time at 10:30, but didn’t get out until 11:00.
We love the front 9 at Lakeside! You guys are taking good care of the greens and fairways, the staff is wonderful to work with, and we always have a great time! Thanks so much👍😁 …
Get the 1/4 lb. hot dog at the turn. Went in to the clubhouse playing some of the worst golf I’ve ever played. Was shootin like tiger on the back 9 after that glorious glizzy. Great course, great hot dog.
Great course also range is Nice! played around 12:40. Was very packed for the Fourth of July weekend! The fees are good! Greens are challenging, but That’s what makes a golfer.
Nice day of Golf. Beautiful weather. Greens and fairways in good shape. Hope the weather holds and can play again this fall.
Nice hidden gem. Staff is friendly and the course is in great shape for the middle of November. 10/10 would recommend.
Always enjoy golfing there. They keep the fairways and greens in top shape. The people that work there are so friendly.
good course, usually in really good shape. tends to have a lot of slower golfers but not bad.
I had a great time at Lakeside golf course. The young man the helped us at the front desk was great to work with.
There could be better yardage markers at the tee boxes and most places have gps in the carts. But the course is nice with challenging and easier holes. I liked it.
This is a great place to play. It’s pretty open so there’s less of a chance of losing balls but the course is very well maintained. The staff are especially nice and helpful if you need anything. For the price this place can’t be beat.
Fun course not impossible difficult, but difficult enough to be a true challenge and test your skills!!. Lots of water hazards on the back. Greens are healthy and fast, not too articulated but enough that it's wise to line up your putts. Had a good time, was my 1st time playing here and I will never frown at Lakeside as an option to play. Friendly staff in the proshop too.
Young cashier not friendly or helpful.
Times seemed overbooked.
Didn’t tell people which 9 to play nor call any names to start. There were teens riding on back of carts speeding around 5 to the cart. Even a single mom had 4 kids and her.it was a fiasco!!
Irene Thu 7am
I have played over 10 courses this year surrounding SLC area.....we played this course at 6am on July 8 2022.....the GREENS were soaken wet... toooooo fast on almost every hole.... the first few holes in the open fairway were not flat and smooth...they were an ocean of ski slope mogules almost like a pinball machine feel instead of flat and smooth. Also course is very tight and extra small. I think it needs to widen up by at least 50%-200% or more to feel more like the top 10% feel in the area. Course has potential, just needs a bit of some heavy equipment to fix these issues.
Fun place to play. Narrow fairways small greens, very challenging.
Mosquitoes did draw blood. Take spray to protect from them.
I wish I could give it a 4.5 star review but that's not possible on google....great course but due to being near farm land/water make sure to bring bug spray (lot of mosquitoes).
I play regularly at this course. It is fun to play there because the course is challenging, well maintained, has a great driving range and an excellent practice putting greens. There are great opportunities to participate in leagues, tournaments and receive golf lessons and participate in clinics. This is all accomplished by a dedicated staff who work hard to make the golf experience positive to all who come to the course. It has a wonderful small town family friendly welcoming atmosphere. Thank you staff, keep up the good work.
Lakeside has always accommodated me as a woman golfer. Always treated me so good, very friendly staff in the pro shop!! The course looks great today! I have never seen these fairways in poor shape and I have golfed here for many years. Great range too! Usually ride but it is a walkable course as well. Good mix of holes, 12 and 13 can challenge me. Good mix of greens as well. A super all around course. I never complain about a golfing day!
Course was in great condition. Great price on golf and concessions. Fun day.
Nice course. Friendly staff. We’re visiting from out of state, and they had everything we needed to play. Will be back soon.
Really fun course. IMO the back 9 is a bit more challenging than the front. More narrow, technical water shots forcing you to lay up drives instead of trying to smash down the middle. Lost a lot of balls, mostly my fault, but that’s what makes it fun. Really good prices too! 30$ for 18 and 16$ for a cart on weekends. Really affordable.
10/10 would recommend.
Very well maintained and a fun course to play. We appreciated the water stations throughout since it was super hot. Will definitely be back!
My husband and I flew into Utah for our 10 year anniversary and didn't think the weather would be so beautiful in November. So we were very excited to be able to play golf. We have never been to Utah and had no recommendations. We found Lakeside on Google and we were so pleased with our experience. Pro shop was very helpful and we stopped in the grille twice and each time everyone was incredibly friendly. The golf course is really fun to play and is very forgiving. I would highly recommend this course and will be playing it again next time we are in Utah. Thanks again for a wonderful experience on our special day!
Course is in very good shape with only a few exceptions. Tee boxes aren't as flat as they should be, but not terrible. Very walkable course. Good variety of tee boxes with good variation in lengths for different skills. Long grass in rough encourages keeping the ball in the mostly generous fairways (a couple holes on the back have narrow landing zones).
Great golf course. Prices are amazing. I play here weekly..
Very User Friendly Golf Pro and ALL Teamwork of Staff made a great experience, see you again…! Muchas Gracias, 😎 …
The course is in really nice condition and our round was very enjoyable. My only suggestion is to have some work done on the greens. Too many ball marks on some greens, to the blame of lazy and rude golfers. I worked as a volunteer for over 10 years at River Oaks and we used volunteers to focus on ball mark repair. Lots of good work got done for a free round of golf. We had a beautiful evening at Lakeside.
Thank you.
Nice afternoon of golf. Paired with an amazing couple the Horns that helped our round. Golf course is in great shape. Nicest Greens I have played this year. Actually all the grass areas were very nice as well.
Easy to book tee times with no prepayment required. That is very important to our 2 foursomes that play together every week. Course is in good shape with nice greens.
Will return to golf this course again.
They have done a great job improving this course and clubhouse over the years. Best burger in town
Nice place for HFC companies golf tournament.
The staff here is amazing. Friendly and accommodating! Great tournaments and everybody is welcome. The food is excellent. Very friendly people and a great value. Beer is also affordable, unlike some of the other local spots. Might be the best GC in Davis County! Good for families and golfers of all skill levels.
Love golfing the back 9 at Lakeside. Beautiful, laid back, and the perfect amount of short and long holes.
College kid who went out just to play a quick nine, only about 20 minutes away from the University of Utah campus. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Open fairways with challenging greens. Was a nice course with great prices. Any golf in February/March is good golf. Keep it up lakeside!
Lakeside is one of my favorite courses. It is kid friendly, beautiful and great for all skill levels. The staff is always friendly and I always feel welcome! This was the first course I started golfing on again after taking a 15 year hiatus while raising a family. Definitely recommend! 👍 …
This is a great place to enjoy golfing. A great course, maintained by the best grounds people (I wish they would come take care of my yard), and great personnel in the club house. The cafe is great, also, with a great menu selection. If you haven’t golfed here… you really should!!
This is a very fun golf course. All the employees seem to try to do what they can to help in every way. I have had very good experiences just walking on playing nine holes. They always make me feel welcome and appreciated. I recommend this golf course to anybody
Because of the deal I got, it was spectacular! They were professional, easy to work with and the course was in great shape. It has been awhile since I had golfed here and the improvements were noticeable. Shorter but not super easy. Well worth the time and money.
Great course. Great staff. Played today in 3:45 minutes. Good shape. Great greens.
Great course, fair green fees pricing, awesome staff all makes this course a great value.
Today was the first time playing the course. Great course with well placed hazards. Greens rolled true and we’re in good shape.
Playing here when the course was only 9-holes.
“West Bountiful Golf Course” is located in what was known to be mostly farm fields and cow pastures. So we nicknamed the course, The Cow Pasture! Far from that now. Nice homes and city upgrades has turned around the area.
AND, another 9-holes were eventually added.
The course is almost always clean and well kept. It’s also a relatively easy course to play and inexpensive comparison to other courses in the area and beyond. The driving range is one of the best, anywhere. Same little clubhouse, same little coffee shop - with huge hamburgers and other good food! Friendly people!
Competitive pricing. Well maintained fairways and greens. Good mix of 3-4 & 5 pars. Pleasant blending of trees, water features, and grass heighth. Really enjoyed my first time at your course. Will return.
Still a great place to practice BUT prices are up 20% across the board this season. Still cheaper than almost anywhere else worth playing, though.
Usually just go here to use the practice range and greens. It's not a big, or heavily designed course, but it'll do in a pinch.
I have nicknamed Lakeside my “Country Club” for the last few years. The staff call me by name and treat me great every time I go there. The course is in great shape. They have really put a lot of effort in the last couple of years to keep things nice and make improvements. The Head Pro and assistants are super nice and really helpful. Great place for a quick round.
Had a great time. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. The course was in good condition especially since it had been raining throughout the morning.
This course is in better shape than surrounding courses in Davis County. The greens are as good as any I've played. I just hope the secret doesn't get out. I also appreciate that you can make a tee time and everyone can pay when they arrive at the course.
Golfing Northern Utah in February is awesome.
Dallas and Braxton are the two top professionals at Lakeside and will help make your experience there enjoyable. Great staff.
Flat muni course, not too many trees or hazards. The greens were pretty beat up, but i played late on a Saturday afternoon. Place of play pretty slow. I paid around $20 with cart for the front nine.
We had a wonderful time at Lakeside today! The course is in great shape and the greens are very consistent. We both left the course saying we would like to come back again!!! Thanks for your good attitude and welcoming smile. Nic Nichol
Course is in great shape. Greens are rolling true and the fairways look good. Some weeds and such in the rough, but you’re going to get that at any muni. Pace of play was great, too. Walked 18 in 3 and a half hours.
Had a fine golf experience at Lakeside. First time there. Grounds folks working hard to repair wind damage. Course in very playable shape, fast true greens. Could use hole layouts on cards & on tees so newbies like my wife & I know where to place drives.
awesome little course. They have added a few more water hazards and bunkers over the years to make it a little more challenging. Course is in great shape, pro shop staff is the best around, cafe has some great food. this is my favorite course to go out with my teenage boys. easy to walk and we all have a blast on this course.
Love playing at Lakeside. Such a beautiful and well cared for public course.
Big fan of this course. Only complaint is the grounds were a little bit wet, but it’s well maintained and the staff really tries to keep groups moving at a steady pace. Quickly becoming one of my favorites in this area.
Love this course! They have ball washers and trash cans. On top of that they have great holes and the price is not too shabby.
Great time. Well managed and friendly staff. I had a great time. Voted as a “Top Value” in the PGA Guide to Travel. This beautiful 18-hole course presents many challenges because of various water hazards and small greens. Course is short enough for the beginner to enjoy. Features a large driving range and practice green. Come enjoy the great mountain views and friendly staff.
Lakeside is a nice mid-level course. What I like about it is there are features like water positioned so you have to think about how to shoot to avoid them, but not in spots that are so hard the mid to high handicapper doesn’t have a chance. Nice rates, too.
I love Lakeside Golf Course! It is well maintained, fun to play and they don't make you pay in advance! They're very helpful and easy to work with.
What a Great day to celebrate our freedom and liberty than at Lakeside Golf coarse, nice flat course for the boys to practice on.
Not the fanciest of golf courses, yet time and time again I come back to play. Lots of shade, water and the greens putt very true. Service is good and the cafe makes a great hamburger. Great place to take newcomers and has a very large practice facility.
The last time I went things were amazing. Staff was extremely friendly. Course was well maintained. Wonderful experience. Unfortunately today I had paid online for a fee time and they got snow covering the course. The pro shop staff was extremely helpful in giving me a rain check on my account and all is well. Love this course and their staff.
Fun track with some pretty tricky holes. Played in late April and the conditions were really good for early spring golf. Will definitely add this to my regular rotation of courses to play.
Golfer friendly course. Beautiful morning and fun with fellow employees and son. Loved how green everything is. Golfers need to fix their divots on the greens. Always fun to play this course
Always enjoy the round. Greens are the best in the area, they roll true. They’ve formed them up to and made it a bit more challenging.
Lakeside is an amazing course. Always in incredible shape. Dallas and his staff are the best. If you’re looking for an inexpensive round and a great time. Call for your tee time!
This is a fun public course, good to walk if that's your thing, with enough character to challenge most recreational golfers. Putting surfaces are nice. Tasty food in the restaurant too. Wednesday afternoon/evening is men's league, so there are no public tee times then.
Favorite course of Davis County! Good for a competitive round, or taking the kids out for a quick 9. Always great conditions, and quick play. Will keep coming back for years to come!
Fantastic course! Honestly my only critique would be that the greens seemed a little torn up mostly from people not taking care of their pitch marks but for the most part absolutely great course
Should have a twilight price after 3pm I would definately come more often!!!
Lakeside has the best driving range in Utah...
It’s FLAT..... and facing EAST! and you can hit drivers! Plus nice practice greens, chipping green etc.... and easy to access from I-15.....
except
1.they don’t use high quality balls...
2.they charge $10 for 85 balls...too expensive especially because of the ball quality
3 need to implement a Range pass that is affordable....this would many more to your facility!
4 put lights on the range.... so we can come in the evenings in spring and fall....
5 stay open until 10 pm. More revenue!
Keep snack bar open late! More revenue for you also!
Beautiful local resort. Great variety of par 4/5. This was my first time playing at this location and most definitely will be back.
Devin S at the front desk was very supportive of allowing a two person party utilize a second cart due to fear of COVID19 transmission. We started at 4:30 pm and it was over 96 degrees. Rates for time of week and day was perfect We lucked out not to have a party behind us so we took our time. Best round so far this year
It’s a great little course, I just wish they had the budget to get rid of the cotton wood and Russian plumb trees. The cotton from the former and fragrance of the latter assault the allergies. Also, it would not take up much budget to get rid of dead trees. Lots of them around.
Finally, the ponds really should be cleaned up, mosquitoes and all.
Sorry to be a complainer, but they asked.
Lakeside Golf Course is a very well-run and friendly clubhouse. The junior golf program is excellent. I have had my grandchildren in it and their junior association is also excellent. Also play in the senior men's association which is a pleasure to do so. Dallas and his staff are excellent. Always willing to help. They seemed always come up with my club head covers when I lose them!
The course was well maintained. Service was friendly. Carts were clean and ready to go. I will golf here again.
Good little 18 hole course, not too complicated, not too easy, well maintained, flat and great for walking. Does tend to get a little wet/mushy in places, know by the locals as "the sponge" for a reason. Decent snack bar and club house. Well worth the price.
Great short course with fantastic practice facilities. The greens are always good and the course is healthy. In June, the course is absolutely perfect.
Lakeside is a great quick course to play. It is one of those courses that you can jump off the freeway after work and play a quick nine holes. The course is EXTREMELY flat and not very challenging. You benefit from hitting the ball straight and if you do, you'll be rewarded.
Staff and pro shop are great to work with as well.
This is not a bad course, the fact that they charge more than Bountiful ridge to walk 9 holes is ridiculous though. I would up the rating, but they have no pins on the course at all right now, even though every other course does, and their sand is awful. If that changed, this course really wouldn't be too bad.
Grew up playing here. Wide open fairways, fun shots and a few challenging holes on the back 9. Best course in utah if you're constantly in the weeds because the fairways bleed into eachother. Staff is great, they listen and always provide help or accommodation. The range is the best in the area because it is flat and wide with a great pro for lessons. Also, TRY THE FRIES from the clubhouse!
Very fun golf course with very helpful, knowledgeable and flexible staff. We took 5 people out and one was a first-time golfer and we had a blast
I love the changes that have been made to this course over the last few years! If you haven’t played it in awhile, you need to.
Love this little course! All staff is super helpful and the course is always in great shape! The water hazards make the course a bit more challenging and pretty! Tim Kjar the Assistant Pro gave me a great lesson as well! Will for sure be back!
The staff is insanely friendly and make the whole experience super fun! The course was in amazing shape which always makes it more fun to golf!
Course is in great shape considering all the rain we've had. Staff is very friendly and efficient. We had a great day....all 7 of us. KL
The course is a great one, especially if you're local. I usually buy a bucket of balls to hit on their full driving range. The staff is friendly and the course is green!
I was frustrated about getting a text regarding the course being open on February 1st and “tee times going fast”, but then you called and no one was there to answer to make a tee time. We made one the next morning. In all honesty I think it’s great that I got a text. Dallas is doing a great job and he has grown into his job. I’m proud of him and I know that he deals with the same frustrations we all do as people who call Lakeside our home course.
Nice, straightforward course. Challenging enough but fun for kids getting started. Great views!
Was a fun corse and well maintained expecialy this late in the year. Frendly staff had a Great time. Expesily enjoyed the more challenging back 9.
Pretty nice course. Ground was hard as hell but well maintained and playable. But what can you expect in January. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely play there again.
I like the layout and the greens were in good shape. I’ve only played the front nine hoping to play the back soon. Had lunch there good service and enjoyed the meal.
The course is well cared for and fun to play. The staff is friendly. My only issue is that they consistently try to sneak in groups onto the back 9, so it usually plays slower than the front and is more crowded.
For the price, it really is amazing. Local West Bountiful residents even get a discount. I love that they offer a punch pass as well. It is a short yardage course for sure but they do a great job at maintaining it. It's come a long way over the years.
They also have one of the longest driving ranges and have some fun longest drive competitions every once in awhile.
Fun course with well maintained fairways and greens
From the very beginning of the pandemic, Lakeside Golf course has been serious about golfer and employee safety. They have continually modified and improved their practices with signage, flagstick contraptions to remove your golf ball, hand sanitizer, the reservation system and more. The staff is top-notched! The course is in good shape, especially the greens. Thank you so much for making golf at Lakeside a respite during the pandemic.
Had a great time hacking the old ball around at Lakeside. The grounds crew does a fabulous job, as always, of keeping the course in great shape. Never disappointed. I’ll be back. 👍👍👍 …
I loved it. It is a very "easy" course. Pretty flat and straight forward. Granted, I only hit the front 9, but it has a good local feel. I will go back.
I’ve only played at Lakeside a few times, but I’ve really enjoyed it every time I have. It’s a great course that’s maintained very well.
I don’t golf a ton and this course is very fun and not totally beyond my golfing ability!
Lakeside Golf Course is a fun course with plenty of challenge for most golfers. The scenery is great and the staff is helpful and friendly. A great course for a quick round.
This is my favorite new course. More affordable than the other Davis county course I've been playing. Grounds are in great shape and well watered. Friendly staff.
I love the driving range at Lakeside. It's hard to beat. This course is almost always in good shape. I've been playing here since I was a kid and it's a great track to get out and play no matter your skill level.
Had a great time. A map of the course on the score card we have been appreciated. Old-timers (over 50) leave our phone off and enjoy the game without apps or outside distractions
Handling the virus issues very well. I would like to see flag stick up with foam in the cup to prevent ball going in (like Rose Park and Eaglewood are doing).. Good job though both in the Pro Shop and out on the course conditions are surprisingly good given all the distractions. Keep it up Dallas, Timothy, and all the others keeping golf alive in West Bountiful!!
Greens are perfect and the pro shop staff is professional and friendly. I like that there will be a bigger cart staging area, improvements are always nice.
Watch a golf tournament. It’s pretty. The golf carts worked. I don’t know much more than that about golf.
The course is in great shape this early in the year. It’s always a fair rate and great people managing the place.
My hometown golf course so I'm a little biased. I really enjoy playing the course. The new owners seem to be trying to make improvements. I wish they would just focus on a few small things first. Like ball wash stations and trash cans that have disappeared.
This is my favorite golf course and it is quite easy to book tee times over the phone. It is also very affordable.
I play here weekly with my Father in law. I'm somewhat of a beginner, but he has played all over the country in his time as a traveling salesman, and he tells me nobody takes care of their course any better than Lakeside. There are no hills or drop offs, it's just flat and basic, but there is plenty of water in which to lose my golf balls. The staff is friendly and so are most of the other golfers (being a public course there are not too many country club snobs, just average everyday respectable people). My favorite hole is #11, a blind par 3 where you have to hit over the reeds to make it to the green. My first time teeing off from 11 I asked "what kind of an idiot designed this hole where you can't even see the green from the tee", then I pared that hole. I don't par hole 11 every time but more often than not.
Staff is always very helpful and polite! Greens were in really good shape!
I grew up playing on this course and the other courses in Bountiful. This one has more kg a links style course, so unless you hit it in the water or over the fence, you're not going to lose your ball - making it a great place to learn. I take my kids there and they have fun as well.
Certain times of the year there can become quite the problem with bugs. Early May, there can be so many mosquitoes and may flies that it makes it difficult to play. Bring big spray and you'll have fun!
Love this place! Great staff and a fun course at a very reasonable price
I give this park three stars not because the course is bad but the location where it sits couldn't be at a worse place. There are so many misquito's that I didn't even want to finish golfing the rest of my game. Other than that it really isn't a bad course at all but if you dislike misquito's as much as I do then I would stay far from this golf course.
The staff was fantastic, I called last second they got us Tee Time . The course is maintained well. I think this is a hidden gem. Thank you
Love this golf course. Has the best range in Davis county. The course is good for beginners and well kept.
I went golfing their today! I like it the front nine is really easy but the back nine are more challenging. Plus its only 8 dollars for 9 holes its a great deal. Also very easy to walk
Booking on line is difficult to determine 9 or 18 holes. Twice, I've booked 18, but played only 9. Yesterday, the second time, I was offered only a raincheck for 9. Won't be booking on line ever again.
Birthday golf day. They treat you well and the course is in really good shape - much better than past years!
Nice golf course. 9th hole means treasure hunt for your ball through the range balls from driving range.
Excellent customer service. The course was full but play was smooth. The food was amazing as well. Thank you for a great experience.
Great course, really green. Not too challenging but enough to make you ply your best. Really nice greens
We love the course and play it a lot when we can.
We play here a bunch, it's a great course. Watch out for the golf pro's dad, he'll threaten a lifetime ban if you catch him replaying holes and then tell him if he's going to do that he needs to hurry up.
It was really awesome everything was in good condition. 10/10 recommend.
I'm not a golfer, but the cafe is TO DIE FOR!!! Incredible food. I would kill for their amazing seasoned fries and fat juicy cheeseburger any day.
Me and my friend just hit a bucket of balls at Lakeside I love their driving range and the golf course is a lot of fun as well ! If you're playing the back nine you better hit it straight !
Great little course, can walk 9 holes in about two hours or less most days. Play the back 9 if you get a choice. Bring bug spray.
Staff are always friendly and accommodating anytime we play at Lakeside GC , my wife and I play there quite often. We play our league play and recreational rounds at Lakeside .
It's a nice golf course. The staff were super friendly. Cafe had a lot of options and decent food. No GPS on carts.
This course is in great shape. We had a great round and play was good paced. I will definitely be back for more!
I liked this course and shot a 82. The bad thing is it is too easy and is too open in front. There is a couple holes that are tight but that’s it.
This is good golf 🏌️♀️! Course is well kept, staff is kind and welcoming! Golf has enough challenges to keep you coming back! …
We love Lakeside! A nice course close to home that’s very well maintained. The staff is always friendly too!
The staff at Lakeside is always Pleasant to interact with, and are doing a great job keeping the carts sanitized and maintaining social distancing. Just a beautiful course
Club House attendant professional and helpful. Pricing for golf cart rentals fair. Clean facilities. Positive and friendly attitudes.
Great place to learn! Good prices with a more flat terrain
Awesome course for families. Nice staff. Course is in good shape. Family of 12 brothers grandpa and cousins had a great time.
Well kept .I also read other people's reviews. Some seem legit. Some sound like, you all, new to grow up. Sound like 2 year olds. I'm sure you will get your feelings hurt too, after reading this. My mommy is not here to wipe the tears off my face.
Usually a great place, last 3 trips were annoying,
the price keeps going up, service keeps going down, snotty millenials running the clubhouse, no field marshals, if you enjoy watching a group take 45 minutes per hole as your sunburn upgrades to third degree have at it.
Course is really shaping up lately. Tee boxes are the main thing still needing improvement. Beware of playing early on Wednesdays due to both men’s association and senior mens. We rerounded and got caught in the mess. Our back 9 took three hours
Packed course still played in under 4 hours. Greens were rolling great especially considering it’s early March.
Greens and fairways are in good condition with roughs somewhat brown. For drought conditions I was impressed. The staff was very friendly.
Dallas and his crew have done such a great job with this course, especially during COVID. Thank you for taking care of my hometown course!!
Course was in great shape and pro shop was really nice. Price was a little on the expensive side for junior rate.
so pretty! such a fun course to play
Really flat course, and fun to play when you don't have to pick bugs out your teeth and eye brows. Staff's general feel is a little on the grumpy side.
Never been before. People are wonderful there. Great prices. Nice course. Great for not having to work too hard. Just hard enough for fun
Nice little course for the price...bug spray recommended, though. The club house has surprisingly good food. Philly cheese steak was better than expected.
Course is in very good shape. Quite a few youth league players, good to see. Very scorable par 5's and friendly staff.
Been golfing here for years, and plan to for many more years! It can get a little swampy in the spring, but it's a great amateur course with a back nine that challenges the newer golfer.
The course is in great shape and is always a fun challenge. The range and practice facilities are great.
Decent course and weekend warrior friendly.
Great practice facility, personable and friendly staff, the course and greens are in great shape! Definitely a must play if you are in the Davis county area!
Very grateful that Lakeside is still letting our group pay individually.
Also, they do a great job with the greens.
Great experience as usual. Fun course and great people. if you haven't played there, check it out.
The golf course was in great shape. I've played there a couple of times and enjoyed each round of golf. I plan on playing more golf there.
Lakedizzle is the bomb y'all! Cool laid-back peeps, great practice facility to work on your spinnage out of the beach, grab some brewskies from the snack bar and have a putt-off with some of your mates. Or if you're feeling frisky, go play a quick 9 on the back and test your skillz.
I've only used the driving range. It's about 400 yards deep. There's a 300 yard marker but could use a few others for people working on their short game.
Good course for beginner/intermediate (and hacks like me who can swing a softball bat well but struggle to stay out of the water and bunkers).
Little bit of crab grass, but great course!
Lakeside feels like they built 9 then added 9 more later. My favorite holes are #6, #12, #18. This is a flat course with a bit of water and can easily be walked.
This course is 1.2 miles from my work, can't wait for summer to play everyday! It's like home!
The course was in great shape, and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Good time.
In the pro shop there were markings for social distancing and the workers were wearing masks. They were great to workout a fair solution to a misunderstanding of information given.
Great service and great staff! One of the best driving ranges in the state. Dallas and staff do a great job 👏 …
The greens are irrigated and sanded. But still not too bad and you can't beat the price 15 bucks 9 holes in a cart.
Great staff, very welcoming. Course in great shape, really enjoyed the round.
Staff are friendly & professional, and practicing good Covid-19 protocol. Course is in great shape!
We had a golf tournament for work at this course and everyone had a wonderful time. It was a great location, since we had people traveling from many locations
5 stars course in great condition. Minus 5 stars for texting me at 5am requesting this review!
Lakeside still offers a free round of golf on your birthday and Tommy Davis is a great instructor
Great course condition and great staff! I’ll definitely be back to play another 18
Great place to golf.
I found the condition of the greens & fairways to be the best they have been. The staff is friendly & accommodating. It is a great experience.
Staff is very accommodating and easy to deal with. Course is in ‘ok’ shape but getting better.
Great driving range short course, but golf is golf, still had a good time. Except for the mosquitos.
Such a fun course. Have played many across the State. Challenging but still fun.
Great place to add to your seasonal rotation. The grille is REALLY GOOD too.
Booking a Lakeside tee time was simple and quick. The software was the same as for Eaglewood. I look forward to my round!
The course is great. But, the staff make it exceptional.
The course is in very good shape and the staff is friendly and flexible.
Not using pins in the holes was too strange for me, it ruined the round for me. Other courses use no touch pins. Ridiculous
Lakeside is a fun course. The back 9 is a good challenge. Love this place!
Fun course with well placed obstacles. Great for beginner and advanced alike.
Had a great time. Easy to get a T-time. The courses in excellent shape.
This course is great for a beginner like me and I've spent quite a few afternoons on this fun course.
If the golf cart had a windshield so that I didn't eat so many gnats I would have given another star. And if they would repave the paths so my drinks didn't spill constantly...
The Sponge is a fun (but difficult) course to play, but it's a fun challenge. One day I may complete a round without losing a ball.
Course was in great shape. Always fun to play here
This course is easy, somewhat expensive, and not all that pretty to look at. Much like my ex wife.
Well Maintained and great people in pro shop Always busy but never have to wait too long to tee off kudos to the restaurant;
Its a laid back golf course that, 15 yrs ago, was one of the less expensive ones. No membership required at that time
It was really good to get out there and shake off the rust!
Really enjoyed the staff. Friendliest course I have been on this year.
A good place to golf, my family and I enjoy the driving range and the good sized green.
Always enjoy playing Lakeside first thing in the morning when the greens are freshly cut!
Nice little public course. Greens and fairways are well taken care of.
Course is always in great shape. The staff is knowledgeable and very nice.
Great place to golf with small greens that are slightly elevated. Love playing here.
This golf course is very well maintained and has very helpful staff both in the pro shop and on the grounds.
The course is in fantastic shape and the rates are cheap! Go play!
Great time golfing and a nice course
Great course and people.
Good course but the teetimes are way too close together, super crowded.
Fun course that is well taken care of. Caters to those new to the sport and is still a great time for more experienced players
Interesting course with a challenging layout of you are new to it. I could see this becoming many locals home course!
Great flat coarse play is steady my 8 year old has no trouble playing
Very fun course. Well watered. Great staff.
Greens were great! Peace of play was steady. Solid shape
Beautiful, well maintained, and friendly service. I'll be back
My favorite golf course growing up. A very easy course with challenges that can push even the best.
Great value and a fun course for all skill levels.
The staff is very courteous. The head pro Dallas is an awesome instructor.
Not a bad golf course, but the continental breakfast and lunch needs a lot of work.
First time out today. Course and greens are in superb condition!
Great course and easy to walk.
The course was in great shape and the day was perfect!!
We always have a great experience at Lakeside! They keep it up as beautifully as a country club!
This course is in excellent shape. Fairways and greens. 👌 …
Sipped me in as a single on the back 9 without a booked ree time. The c I'll use is very well maintained. Thanks
It's great for the price and location. Not a crazy country club style course.
Good pace and clean landscape.
Great practice facility. Great course.
Greens are smooth and fast.
I don't know if they still have it, but the youth program during the summer is awesome here. I really learned to love the sport doing this.
Very green and In great shape. I didn’t have a bad lie.
Great little Golf Course friendly staff reasonable rates wonderful greens maintained very well
Super friendly staff. Course always in wonderful shape. Nice big range.
We went to the driving range here! It has good markers and opportunity for different angles to hit from and aim for!
Great golf course for anyone, including us seniors. Try the cafe! Great.....
Still a sponge but it's still early in the season. The greens are good. Beautiful course still!
So glad you guys have stayed open during these times! It’s a very much needed respite.
Great course that is very well maintained. Back 9 is pretty challenging.
Fun round. The people at the pro shop were very nice!
It moved fast for being kinda windy. Let us play off the back, course looked great as always!
Love it. Been playing since 9 was on the same side. Kelly B

Play the best round of my life. It’s a super fun course.
Not a bad course, just felt like it was a little overpriced for what it was.
What a great little municipal course with a great driving range!
The workers are always nice and the price is reasonable. Just smells and be prepared repellent if you go in the evening.
It was a fun little course but it's a little too short for me
The golf course is taken care of very well... Pro shop staff very nice
Good course and good price. The course was well kept.
Good neighborhood golf course. Can usually walk in and get a tee time
Friendly staff. Good quality cafe service. Well kept course.
Nice wide fairways with moderate to difficult greens depending on the time of day you visit.

Great golf course with great service. Excellent greens and fairways
Great golf course
Love the course and practice facilities!
Challenging layout, pace of play was good even with full line up
Love it it's a great course for amateur golfers
It looked a bit snowy for golfing. The geese love though.
Its ok not good loss power to all camp sites for several hours.

Stay away, stay far, far away. I love this course mostly because I play at a slower pace, so please stay away.
It was very easy to register and book a tee time online.
