Reviews of Cedar Hills Golf Club
Went to a wedding reception for Casey and McKenna Lambert. I've never been to the Vista and it was absolutely breathtaking. The reception was from 7 until 9:00 p.m. so I was able to see the beautiful sunset and wonderful views
Solid course, A little narrow but overall good course. Had a 830 am tee time and went off on time. The only comment is in regards to previous reviews on groups being sent off the back. Which not sure if that happened to us but a group that was behind us starting was not in back of us on at the turn. Not sure if that group had lunch or something but it was something that was brought up in numerous reviews and appeared at surface level to us. Not a huge deal but also something I think is not great practice to do on a weekend or ever really. Someone in our party almost stepped directly on snake as well just off one of the fairways on the front. I want to say hole 7. Big guy, about 2 1/2 feet. No rattle but had similar markings. Perfect camo, didn't see him until the last second. He left us alone we left him alone. Nice Sunday round with the boys.
My brother and I went here one weekend when we were up visiting my wife’s family. It’s actually pretty affordable and close in proximity to the neighborhood of Cedar Hills. We went on a Friday evening and it was pretty empty I think we only saw three or four other golf carts out on the course which is really nice because we were able to take our time and practice our skills. The staff was super friendly and very informative after we had any questions. My father-in-law goes here pretty often and hasn’t had any complaints. If you were ever in the area we would definitely recommend that you stop by this course and play a couple holes before returning back home to where you normally live.
Super fun course and layout. Some of the best views of Utah valley, but occasionally the grass can get burned out in the summer. Greens roll true and are generally well taken care of. Slow play is an issue on weekends. They definitely have some of be best water coolers and sand holders anywhere in Utah.
Awesome course! The views are phenomenal. The front 9 can fool you into thinking it's an open course. The back 9 is cut into the mountainside and is tight and narrow. Greens were punched so not the best conditions for putting.
The course was in great shape. They have some great holes on this course and it was a ton of fun. I played in a tournament here and the accommodations were top notch and the club house was amazing. I would totally recommend playing here if you have an opportunity to.
Awesome course! I wish they didn’t pack the times so much, makes play super slow but if you aren’t in a rush this is course is very nice!
Gorgeous course. Some amazing holes. Especially the ultra high first hole tee box. There is some construction going on around the clubhouse, but I can’t remove stars because they’re trying to improve!
Pace of play was pretty good for a Saturday morning. Course was in great shape, greens a little slow but true. One of my favorite courses in SL/UT counties
AMAZING Track and their clubhouse is beautiful and a perfect spot to host an event or have your wedding there!!
Played a round of 18. Greens were nice and fast. Awesome fairways. Best part of my round was the double eagle on number nine. Scoring a 2 on a par five was crazy and jumping around like a lunatic made my day. I will be back to see if lightning can strike twice.
I could go on and on about this course. The price to quality value here is off the charts. This course could be a private course. Greens are fast and true, fairways are tight and well kept. Bunkers are phenomenal. Course is gettable, but also can get you. This is the best deal in Utah county by far, arguably the entire state of Utah.
Course is in good shape. It's very tight, lots of irons off tees to make sure you're in the fairways and can find the ball. Not too long at all playing from the blues. Club house is very nice and new. Nice grill area.
Favorite all around golf course in Northern Utah great elevation changes and wonderful mix of water out of bounds and dynamic play
Amazing course. The front nine are well kept, and a fun challenge. Walking the course is very physically challenging with the first hole being teed up off a cliff and the ninth hole tee box being a blind shot, but always rewarding to play a game there. They sadly don’t have push carts to rent for your clubs.
The driving range is a bit of a disappointment. They almost never pick up their balls or refill their buckets. So get there early if you want to hit the range. This is one of my favorite course due to its beauty looking down upon the valley.
Went over there a couple of times for Wedding Reception. They are great. They allow you to bring your own food. Nice size and beautiful view.
The perfect after work course! I love playing here!
This course is a fun course for the more skilled. It's got a few holes that are easy and still fun for those who play more often. Hole #1 is a fun but difficult hole! But this course is definitely worth playing! It's in my top 3 for Utah County!
One of my favorite courses in Utah. Fun open fairways with water hazards and sand traps galore. The back 9 makes you play up the mountainside with some narrow fairways for some very challenging shots. This little hidden Gem is getting more and more noticed however. Plan on booking a Tee Time at least a few days in advance.
Good course with a newly built clubhouse and event center. The range is small and the fairways do get patchy. For the price you pay I wish they kept the greens and tee-boxes in better condition.
Didn't go golfing here I was looking at it for a wedding venue. Very nice place weather alert Royce but very possibly could have been. The lady was a very good helper are explaining everything. They're very serious about covid-19 cleanliness.
Great course! I only knocked off one star because of treatment we received the last time we went. After being paired up with a solo player, my buddy and I (who aren't very good) were obviously slowing him down, so he decided to just go on ahead without us, which we thought was fine.
Apparently that's really bad...?
The staff, once we were done with our 9 holes, told us that if we "ever did something like that again we wouldn't be welcome back".
Other than that, though, it was a fun course with challenging holes and beautiful scenery.
Been golfing here for years, and it really can't be beat. For one of the most reasonably-priced courses in the area, they exceed expectations with friendly staff, great maintenance, and a gorgeous view from the club house. Our only complaint is that the greens have been damaged or in poor condition quite often, but again, a course at this price won't be perfect. If you like fun golf with stunning views and fun variety, this is your course.
My appreciation for this course is more nostalgia than anything. I play here often and haven’t really grown tired of playing the same 18 holes. I definitely prefer the back nine to the front 9, but regardless the course has a wide range of difficulty from hole to hole and also comprises a drastic change of scenery over the course of a game.
Nice club with a small restaurant, open event area for receptions, good parking etc. Quite expensive as you’d imagine.
I have always loved the #1 tee here, but after playing 27 holes the other day the course has quickly become one of my favorites in the Salt Lake area. It has so much character, and the entire back 9 is unique to any other course in the area. They have done a lot to get the course in better shape than I have ever seen it. The greens roll very true, the fairways are in great shape, and the bunkers are soft and easy to hit out of. There is ice cold water in all of the coolers and the club house cafe has a great menu. To top it all off the $39 fee for 18 holes beats almost any course in the state! Great deal for an amazing course.
Great course. Beautiful views and interesting elevation changes on the holes on the back 9. Would be nice to have 150 yard markers in the fairways. Other then that, course in great condition and would recommend it.
This is a nice golf club in a relatively scenic area. I was here for a wedding reception and enjoyed my visit. I had little to no interaction with the employees here. But they seem to take the upkeep of this place seriously. Plenty of parking in the lot. A little difficult to find, but that's why we have Google Maps in the first place. Egress is not an issue at all.
UPDATE: I've played this course a lot. I truly have. I've never seen the course in this condition. It's fantastic. I spoke with Wade Doyle about it and was informed they have new equipment and a lot of water to use. It's in great shape. Awesome greens. Great tee boxes. Sweet fairways. I'm happy to say it's in awesome condition right now.
They have improved this golf course over the years. The addition with the club house is nice and feel that the course is better maintained than in years past. I’ve enjoyed the driving range as well. My sister had her wedding reception in the club house and we really enjoyed the location.
Fantastic course!! I loved the view and the course was in excellent condition, with greens that rolled true and were well kept! Every water cooler had ice cold water! Play was timely, even on a Saturday morning. The Marshalls were friendly and the scoring conditions were excellent. I will definitely play here again!
We have rented the Vista Room a number of times and have attended weddings, parties, meetings, and dinners at this venue. I can’t say enough about the picturesque location with its proximity to the scenic American Fork Canyon and Wasatch Mountains which can be viewed through the large windows on the east side of the building. The windows on the west side have exquisite views of the valley and lake. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The Vista Room has dark, rich, wood floors with a stone fire place. The visual and audio equipment worked seamlessly with our presentations. The size of the food preparation room was more than enough for our needs and has two separate entrances to the Vista Room. If preparing your own food isn’t what you are looking for, they offer a catering service through the restaurant / grill also located in the building.
Absolute favorite golf course I have ever been to. I love how beautiful it is there. Everyone on the staff treats me like family. Golf director Wade Doyle is so nice to everyone who comes in through his pro shop doors. Would suggest this to everyone. During golf season, I spend 40 minutes driving there each day and it is totally worth it. Can't say enough good things about this course.
Very clean course. The carts are very nice, GPS and score keeping enabled. You can even link your phone to the cart to play your own music
Great golf course!
This is probably top 3 golf course in Utah county.
*There are some players who park the golf cart too close to green.
(They are not handicap)
They need more marshals to those players warning though.
I've only come here for wedding receptions, and it seems like a nice place to have one. I'm not a super fan of receptions, but if there is something salty to eat (not just sugar, you know?) then I enjoy it. I'm not there to fill up, I just like salty things. Then, with some good friends to chat with, this is the perfect setting for a reception. The gazebo outside is really nice.
I love playing this course. The first hole has what seems like a 150' drop to the fairway. It's the most memorable 1st tee I've ever played. I also love the back 9 where 3 of the holes are up against a mountain side. I've played here over 20 times and I've always been impressed. The rates are also better than many/most of the local courses so that's another benefit. Seems like the fairways and greens are always in great shape. The views over the valley from the first hole and back 9 CANNOT be beat. I love bringing friends and family to play here.
I haven't play the coarse but I went to the driving range. It was pretty far away from the clubhouse, but it was a pretty good range
Very scenic and very fun to play. Kind of strange layout built into the mountain sides, but I liked the challenge. The greens were a bit odd a while back, very thick. I'm sure they've grown a little nicer by now. A good place to play.
The reason for the lower rating is the staff, they are not that friendly and their ability to answer the phone in the morning is horrible. I had a T time in the morning and was going to be a few minutes late so I wanted to see if that would be ok since I was driving two hours away to get there. When I arrived the manager denied the phone rang and argued with me about everything, very rude. They said they were there the whole time but obviously were not. The course is pretty nice and challenging which I like but the service and the inability to keep a good kitchen going has little to be proud of. The facility itself is pretty nice though, great for a wedding or get together of any kind and the view is spectacular.
Mid October it's an excellent time for driving through the canyons and seeing the beautiful fall colors. It's my girlfriend's birthday and we all decided to take a ride. We decided to go on to yelp.com and find a restaurant within the middle of the Alpine Loop. We found Sur Cafe. It is located in the middle of a golf course. We had no idea what we were in for. We went in each of us order something different and was pleasantly surprised at what we ordered! I had the dog leg which is a hot dog on a Toasted Bun with mayonnaise at the bottom topped with relish mustard and ketchup. Doesn't sound like much but was an excellent hot dog choice! I also had the beef empanadas. It was good, had a lot of au jus from the cooking process. But it was delicious! Nonetheless. My girlfriend had a hamburger the hamburger was made traditionally to pound it out season and then cooked up it looks fabulous. She said it was the best hamburger she's had in a long time! My girlfriend the birthday girl had the reuben sandwich! She said it was fabulous everything. It was just delicious the sandwich itself very hearty and meaty. The food made in this restaurant is made with love! You can tell by the ingredients and the outcome that is picture worthy of the food that we ate! I highly recommend taking a trip out of your way just to come up and have a hot dog! Come have a Reuben sandwich! Come have a hamburger! All of the food that we had was super yummy!
Beautiful setting and a challenging course. The view from the putting green makes it very easy to spend more time practicing your short game but makes it hard to focus on the pins.
Course is almost always in good shape and greens are well taken care of. Views are truly amazing for the price and one of my favorite in the valley. Only real complaint is that slow play is normal so 4.5 hour rounds are the average here. If they could get some Marshalls to enforce pace a little I think this would be definitely be a more popular place. First tee is deceivingly short only about 250-260 before you're in trouble from blues.
Beautiful course with some fun holes. Friendly staff. Bathrooms on the course are disgusting!!! I don't think they are ever cleaned. Pace of play is usually slower than I would like.
Had a great time playing mario kart in real life on their wii-truck things
i dunno
I dunked a basketball into my uncles diet pepsi
we played a little golf while we were here too, it was just great to know that they made a real life version of wii sports. Super cool!
Great place to golf with the better views in the Valley, food at grill was awesome as usual ...little windy this time around and seems like prices haven't gone up for 18 holes w/cart like majority of courses around since 2020
I am really impressed with everything about this course but this review is for one of the workers, I wish I had asked him for his name, but he went out of his way to help us out. So my buddies and I got there 10 minutes before they were supposed to open at 6:00 am so that we could tee off right when the Pro Shop person got there. It was 6:05 and the Pro Shop person wasn't there. One of the guys taking out golf carts saw that it was passed 6 and the Pro Shop guy wasn't there so he got on his phone, called him and told him that he was going to let us on and that we would square up with the Pro Shop after. Great attitude.
Beautiful scenery! Nice and quiet, courses were challenging but great. No wait, and they had bathrooms half way through which were very convenient. Will definitely go again.
Great place for a wedding. Also their golf cart guy, Nick, fantastic and fun.
Really enjoyed the course. There's only one hole on the entire course where there are houses close to play(but only a par 3 on top of that). Some of the holes are a little long from the tee to the fairway but I will be a return customer
This is one of my favorite golf courses in utah county. Maybe because I play it well, but it is fun and has challaging holes. They have competitive prices and the course is in good condition. One of my favorite things about the course is they have my favorite sandwich shop Ernies in the club house. That seals the deal for me.
It’s in good shape and played with some great young players but it was so weird I set off the alarm when I went to the pro shop like I was being tracked or something who would do that to just a nice guy like me but anyway the course was great it’s right by Matt badgers house I should of stoped and said hi just to see how that rascally guy is doing he is definitely a rascal that Matt badger I think I saw him the other day I shoulda said hi that’s kinda not nice on my part well anyway Matt hi tell dr reishman hi to and the whole crew you rascals you always doing jokes on people you know what I mean lol I’m so silly sometimes
The Grill at Cedar Hills at the golf course is awesome. The food is really good and prices are not bad at all. The side salad that came with it was awesome too. I wish I would have taken a picture of my food to post before I ate it but it was just too good.
Course is staying OK but condition is only about 8 out of 10 currently. Love the new pros proshop and club house.
(Edited) Had some issues with their rentals that they have fixed since my original review.
Nice city course to play. Generally in good shape. The natural up-and-down of the land creates for some interesting holes. Good course that will keep you on your toes.
My home course...such breathtaking views!
One of My favorite places to golf. Reasonable rates...fantastic views....super fun tee on first hole. And the course is in great shape!!!
Good course with some scenic views (like the #1 tee box). Generally well maintained. Wind can get a bit rough on a few holes.
I love this course! Some great views, with a good playing course
Gorgeous venue for weddings and parties! Watch out though, when they say you need to be out by a certain time, they mean tables and everything! We found them to be a tad pushy. BUT, the views are spectacular.
Great lil course. Fun challenging hole layouts. Some killer views. And a damn good way to hang out with my dad! I'll be back to play again!.
They tend to stack as many people in as possible. Have never had a round where I wasn't waiting 3-5 minutes to tee of every hole.
Very nice course though and reasonably priced.
Nice place to golf. The selection at the at the pro shop is limited. They did let us golf a few more holes than the nine we paid for because we had a little extra time.
Amazing views and some very hilly landscape. This course is pretty fun with some unique holes.
Fun course. Great views. Challenging but not too tight. Course is in good shape.
Great course! Always fun on the back ix being on the mountain side! Weekly Sunday tee time with this one buds
Played in a tournament there last week. Other than the greens recently being aerated, the course was in great shape. Really nice links style course.
My favorite starting hole in the state. I only wish it was a few holes into the round so I was a little more warmed up for it. My favorite holes are #1 and #6. Probably don't want to walk this course.
Super fun course! Short holes but technical. Great spot for beginners like myself to loose a lot of golf balls :)
Great course. I've played it many times, and I love the challenging Par 3's and the scenic Par 5's. Great views from all the holes on the back 9.
It was a nice place to have a wedding reception.the decorations and the food were peefect.
If you want a challenging course. Cedar hills course is the spot. Beautiful surroundings, competitive challenges, and great coustomer service and experienced help if you need a few pointers, or tips for the par 5 on the 8th hole.
Very good course. Holes 8-18 are a fantastic stretch of golf. Fast greens. Beautiful views all over the course.
My wife and I had our wedding here a month ago. It was fantastic! The staff was wonderful and the venue is beautiful. Becky & Brooke are wonderful to work with!
Difficult course with great views. A lot of elevation changes, skinny fairways, and large greens.
Well maintained fun course
Catered here today. Nice locale, perfect natural lighting.
View is beautiful! I went to a wedding so I cant say much about the course. Be prepared for lots of speed bumps, it must be a Cedar Hills thing.
Great location for a company party
Great course. Typically this course less busy than most. It allows for a steady game play without feeling rushed.
Beautiful course! Greens are just right and the fairways are looking good. Just watch for snakes this time of year!
It was a fun course mountain holes were definitely difficult if you don't focus you can start to lose a lot of balls haha.
First tee off is literally off a cliff and there is a trick to it but unfortunately I cannot share that's something you will have to go and play there and learn overall very well done course
Fun interesting holes. It's all downhill after the first home then tough last hole if wind 20 miles an hour. Nice staff
Only played the driving range. don't go to the driving range in the morning, it's east facing and the sun comes up right in your eyes. Also I called and asked if they were open they said yes, I got there and the doors were locked. I had to call to get them to give me a bucket of balls. And they didn't seem too friendly about it, like I was putting them out.
Well kept and beautiful views. I would have given five stars if there hadn't been 5 players in there group ahead of us.
Really fun challenging course
Target golf course. Fairways were very dry in spots. Greens were in great shape. Fair track at a fair price.
We have a family party here every year and the clubhouse is great. The golf course is also a lot of fun.
I've only been here for wedding receptions, but it's great for it. I really liked the feel and they were great with the catering.
Not sure why this course gets high ratings. It's standard municipal fare. Gimmicky course,. It's fine, but nothing more than mid-range muni.
Enjoyed the Bible Church that meets there on Sundays at 10:30. New Hope Bible Church is a friendly, welcoming church body.
Really fun course.
Great course. There's a fun variety of holes and the views are super nice.
Well kept course that is easy for beginners
The first hole was Amazing will definitely be back to play again!
Love the course! Brian and Wade keep that thing in great shape.
Really nice. It's not fenced in. Has a few ponds and a really good view of the sunset.
Great track, course was in great shape! Great way to spend Father's Day
Nice place for a wedding however services are lacking. You will do most everything yourself. The staff seems a little superficial.
I had a work get together for my job at Jaydawgs which was so very fun. I am very happy about my job and our Thanksgiving feast!
Nice golf course nice Clubhouse Pender prices are pretty good especially if you get their buy one get one coupon which they offer quite a bit
Fun course. Great price for the views and caliber of golf. Definitely coming back
My brother and I had a fun challenging round on this beautiful course!!
This is one of the nicest courses in Utah Valley. It has great views and some memorable holes.
Visually appealing, well cared for, challenging. But I've never been to a course that didn't offer beer!?!
This is a nice public golf course. Only downside is the grill closed at 3pm.
A beautiful place for wedding celebrations. Handicapped accessable.
Took my parents from Illinois and they loved it! Great course and wonderful to play on.
Fun course, narrow fairways but still fun and a little challenging.
This place has a breathtaking view of the lake, mountains, Temple, and entire Utah valley. Amazing sunsets.
What I like about Cedar Hills is their support of the local community and local businesses. They have a great meeting area for parties.
Beautiful golf course. Beautiful day. Cedar Hills is top notch.
Great venue for a wedding or any event. Had a ring ceremony and reception for my brother there and it was a great location for the event.
Overall it's a great course, but I wish they did allow you to walk the course.
Groundskeeper Willie has done an amazing job!
The course plays long and has a variety of holes and challenges that makes it a lot of fun
Good course. Hole 10 is a bit difficult but good all in all. Good facilities for meetings and events
employees. Little too hard for the hacker I am. Great layout for good golfers.
Very nice golf course and club house. I attended for a wedding and was impressed.
The first hole is really cool. Looks like about 150 foot drop from the tee to the green.
Fantastic golf course beautiful view and a good challenge
Great atmosphere! Great view!
I was here for a wedding reception. Beautiful room and view.
Beautiful course and very reasonably priced
Honestly tons of fun, never a boring moment. Challenging at some parts but I love a challenge!
Lot of great elevation challenges. The first tee is an amazing drop off.
Good golf, good food.
Challenging course with a variety of shots. Excellent value. Great people/service
Tough course with a lot of different looks. Lots of elevations and quick greens.
Nice facilities and we'll maintained. It has a beautiful view of the valley.
I had a great sandwich. It's a little gem sitting right here in cedar hills.
Make sure that if you’re only going to play 9- that you ply the back 9.
Awesome! Best views of the valley, and golf!:) what else could you want:)
This place is beautiful! Went to a friend's wedding reception and it was awesome.
I have been here for business, weddings and it has always been a classy experience.

Clubhouse is nice. Plenty of parking. Good food.
A challenging course. Nice scenery and a good value for the price.
Super nice reception hall but we tripped a breaker. That shouldn't happen.
Really good burgers, nice vibe, great views, reasonable prices.
Okay course not too hard. Cool first shot though.
A very unique 18 holes
