Reviews of The Links at Greystone
We had a lovely time with the family at Greystone Tubing! I believe its very well priced for the fun you have and 2 hours is more than enough to enjoy the hills. We enjoyed the kiddie hill with our youngest who’s 2 years old and our 10 year old took the big hill on his own. Thanks to their lift for the big hill it was very easy for him to go again and again without needing us for pulling the tube. Hot chocolate was delicious and perfectly hot to warm up your hands~ Waiting room where many people would go warm up in between runs. I highly recommend bringing actual snow gloves and doubling up socks and having actual snow boots along with all your winter gear. Coldest we felt was in our hands, feet/toes and face so bringing a scarf to go down the slide would be perfect!
Kids had a decent time. Staff was very friendly. Better for small kids. Paid $26 a person and hill wasn't that big. Over priced for what's offered. Kinda cool that they have a lift system to pull you up the hill though.
This is a good, clean option for winter fun. No walking up hills to tube! We had a good time here. There is a pro shop with snow gear, in case you forgot something. There also is a restaurant/pub and a snack shop. The prices were fair. I am docking 1 star for the cringy country music playing over the speakers.
The good: it's a beautiful course in a private area and they take great care of it. The greens are in great shape but also very fast and HUGE. Very challenging greens but the course itself isn't unfair, just a good challenge. GPS on the carts is always great. Hole 5 is gorgeous. It's an expensive course but probably right around what it is worth.
The bad: If you plan on going as a pair, be careful. They will pair you up with two random strangers and they don't really give you any warning that this might happen. I was taking my dad out as a father's day gift hoping it would be just me and him but then we were told when we got to the first tee that we had to wait for another pair that they were grouping us with. We actually got very lucky cause the other pair never showed.
My family of 14 went tubing & had an extremely fun time. We aged from 14-70 yrs old & we raced each other down the hill. Fun for all ages!!!
We’re from Texas and this was our first time to visit. We had a great time!! Lanes were fast yet fun!! Staff was good too!! Lots of nice New Yorkers too!!
Had a blast! Staff were very polite and helpful! Great family fun.
Drove an hour and 1/2 to play this morning! More than worth it. The course was in great shape. Overall great experience for a great price. I missed a hole in one by 2 inches, actually relieved it didn’t go in because there was not a soul in sight. I love the elevation change and the overall layout of the course. I will be going back soon! There is not a straight putt to be had on any of the greens. Staff was very friendly.
The course is in excellent shape. It's 100% worth the drive. Challenging link style course. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes are near perfect. Can't wait to play here again.
Took the kids tubing. The lift was pretty cool, and the hill seemed like it was well groomed. The facility appeared up to date and clean, and well kept. Overall it was a good experience. We Wouldn't mind visiting again. Bring boots!
Awesome course, that I would play again if in that area! Course conditions were excellent, and the layout was really fun!
Snow tubing is fun here! My son and i, my sister, niece and nephews will return to this place at some point it is a lot of fun for friends and family of all ages!
Best public course in the area, very well maintained and beautiful. Also excellent food, good bar with a great beer selection. 9 and dine on Friday and Saturday is a great deal and the BBQ food was superb.
This course is awesome. It is one of the best, if not the best, public courses in Western NY. It is always in great condition and is really fun to play. If you are traveling from Buffalo, it is absolutely worth the drive.
The snow tubing was lots of fun!! Price is a bit high for just 1 track, but they've cornered the market on this side of town so I don't fault them for making the most of it. Staff were friendly and customers were all patient while waiting in line. If you have an age gap between your kiddos, it might be tough to navigate with only one caregiver. If you're going to be split between the kiddie and regular hills, bring two adults to supervise separately.
My family had the greatest time snow tubing! The staff were great and the fact that you could ride back up the hill instead of walking sold us immediately. The food at the restaurant was AMAZING and fairly priced. 100% will go back again.
So we didn't golf. We were there for the tubing. It was a lot of fun. They can accommodate large groups of people and still follow all the guidelines so it was a nice covid time activity.
Also, the pub food and drink selection was great. It was nice to get warmed up after the fun outside. My parents to are big golfers from PA so when they come this summer we will definitely take them there and see what they think
Had our 9 year old twins birthday party here today with 7 other girls. Everything was well laid out and so well staffed. They had plenty of help getting people on the pull up the hill and safety was being followed while not “quashing” fun. With the reservations crowd control was ideal for social distancing. We did their pizza package after tubing and the staff inside was just a great. Overall worth the 40 minute drive and we will try to return this season.
Absolutely perfect day!! Staff was amazing, friendly, helpful. Number of people on hills was well controlled which made wait time minimal. We had so much fun!!! Went to restaurant after. Food & Drinks we're great!!
Great course. Quality of course is very cheap compared to other states. I will definitely play it again when I visit Rochester
Great Place, course is E course is immaculate, comma staff is amazing it's amazing. Would highly recommend experiencing Gray stone
Fantastic course. Kept in very good shape and at a reasonable price you’ll love the sprawling fairways that beautifully use the land to create a course that will challenge all levels of golfers. Greens are fantastic, I happened to play on a tournament day - they can get very tricky! Lots of fun, great staff, great course.
Unbelievable scenery and experience. If you enjoy a premier level golf course with the classiest of feels, this is the course for you. Everything from the staff to the carts to the fairways to the greens are top notch, book your tee time and enjoy, you will not be disappointed.
If you want to play a tough course that is in good shape... this is the one. Long holes, tough par 3's, small greens, huge greens. You'll see up hill, side hill as well as down hill stances to navigate your way. Oh yes, don't forget the water and sand! Very fast greens and well groomed narrow fairways keep you on your toes.
Our league played our year end tournament at Greystone. Our first trip to Rochester from the Albany area. This place is terrific. Every hole is dramatic and different with good balance of short and long holes. The golf is challenging but not impossible. The conditions were excellent. This is a must play whenever in the Rochester area.
This place is an absolute stunner of a golf course. Enough tee choices to accommodate any level of player from novice to scratch golfers alike, with top shelf amenities and turf maintenance that is second to none. You can't beat this place for the price. Do yourself a favor and go do a lap. 👍👍 …
Greystone is in great shape right now. Fairways are really nice & greens are rolling true with some speed, much better than some other local courses. A great links style course..position golf. Get out & play it while we can!
I love tubing here! So much fun going up the lift, and flying down the hill! Such a great time!
Great Sunday brunch! So much delicious food to choose from. Nice location with big windows giving a view of the golf course.
This was an exceptional time. It was busy, but the line moves along quickly. You can go down the hills individual or build a train of people and take the fast ride. It was well worth the time and not very expensive. Even getting pulled to the top was a fun ride.
My family and I had nothing but a great experience with our event at Greystone. We had a baby shower there and from the first time we visited to the time that we walked out the day of the event, it was PERFECT! Sheila was amazing to work with, open for communication and questions via text, email, and always willing to help. She was thorough with responses and suggestions and made everything EASY! The staff members that worked the day of the shower were friendly, efficient, and helped the day go by so smoothly. Would absolutely recommend!!
Great golf course! Best public track in Rochester! My opinion. Good food as well after a round. Can get a little busy due to a great place and full leagues.
Kids had a great time. We went on a pretty cold day (17° and snowing), but they stayed the whole time. At one point there were a lot of sledders but then it thinned back out. Glad we went and worth the cost!
Great links course, but also love to get food from here even when I’m not golfing! Bartenders are awesome!
This is a quality course to challenge any golfer, well kept fairways and greens are in excellent condition always. Good food and drinks in the clubhouse. Would highly recommend
Probably my favorite public track in the area. Not a bad hole on the course and some that are downright spectacular. If you like golf you owe it to yourself to play there.
This rating is for the snow tubing as I have not played the course but I look forward to it later this summer. :) It was quick and easy to register online for a time, just make sure to check your confirmation email for the waiver to complete. Fun and enjoyable, tow hook does the work to get up the hill, so no trudging up the hill. Big 🙂 for that. The reservation makes sure there's not to many people, so the waiting is minimal. We had a great time! 👍
We had a blast. Was my first time. Staff was awesome. They were helpful. The hill was nice and easy to ride.
Excellent tubing. Pull rope up so no walking, lots of lanes, people watching lanes to make sure it's safe. All around great experience!
Lots of fun for all ages, no waiting in long lines,.friendly staff
We had our wedding there last fall and it was amazing. The views are beautiful and the food is so good. Taylor was so nice to work with. He's so patient, helpful, chill and willing to do anything and everything to make the day perfect. Highly reccomend!
Snowtubing at Greystone is definitely a great time. For $24/pp, you have 2 hours on the hill. They have everything down to a science. You do NOT have to walk up to the top of the hill unless you wanna get your step count in. They have automated hooks/lifts that drag you up the hill while you relax in your tube. Beware, at the top of the hill when you dismount, you better do it quickly, as other tubers are also dismounting and will crash into you but it's not that bad....
it really is a smooth operation. the most we waited in line to get back on the lift might have been like 10min, as they stopped the lift for a few minutes. otherwise, it moves rather quickly. the place is beautiful, especially when it's snowing and at night - underneath the hill lights. very nice!! def going back
Nice yatch club. Nice lawn space
Fantastic course with friendly, helpful staff. From the pro shop to the starters and rangers, this place is great. My favorite public course in the Rochester area, hands down.
Went to greystone for Mothers Day golf and Brunch. Timed it perfectly for Golf, as it was very Sunny in the AM and the view was beautiful! Then to Brunch. Food was Incredible. 2 of us got the the 180z Angus Poreterhouse- delicious! The pancakes were scrumptious, and the Breakfast burrito was so yummy, but our waiter/bartender Sam, was Simply the Best! Personable, professional, efficient, and had a great sense of humor, we felt like we had know him for years. Will be going back just to see Sam.
Going up and down the slopes was very fun
My new favorite course in Central NY. The course is fun to play and the conditions were excellent. The holes are well defined with a lot of elevation changes. The greens are large with some slope to them. The greens had been aerated recently which probably prompted the previous reviewers 1 star review which is ridiculous. The clubhouse is very nice as well.
Beautifully kept golf course! One of the finest in the area. Challenging but fun for players of all skill levels. Great food and drink at Stoney's after a round! Very welcoming atmosphere.
Great place to tube. Lot's of people but the lines move fast. A lot of fun for the whole family and a great place to go in the winter. Will definitely go again.
Great fun experience for the entire family!! And they have the Clubhouse for adult food and beverages as well. Would recommend to anyone😎 …
Well the course may seem expensive at first glance, there are plenty of opportunities to play for less than full price. Twilight rates and weekend rates for foursomes are fairly heavily discounted so don't let the price scare you. The course is always an excellent condition and provides a challenge that not too many other local courses in the Rochester area can give you. Why it's not link style golf per se, it's about as close as you're going to get in the area and that means that you have to hit good shots if you want to score well. come by the challenging course with very helpful staff and a pro shop full of people who always seem to enjoy doing their job and it makes for a very good experience for average or better than average golfers. If you're fairly new to the game or just really don't play very often this is probably not the course for you.
It's was great! The only draw back was how long it takes to pay for your time there and to pick up your tags.
No sand in the sand traps, pea gravel. Never any water in club washers. Every league night you wait for carts. Raised prices so things should be a bit better. Beautiful, challenging course but needs a little better upkeep. Staff is great.
Course was in excellent condition and staff was very accommodating. Starter was friendly and provided my playing partner and I a warning, "greens are very challenging" which was an understatement. From tee to green, not much room for error. Keep it in the fairway or you'll have a tough day. Get to the green and the "fun" really starts. Greens are enormous. Reaching the green in regulation doesn't mean much here. Take an extra club into the green and hope that you aren't on a side of a hill, putting downhill, uphill or any other way. What I'm trying to say is that the greens are fast and tough!
Pros:
Rate is reasonable
Course is beautiful and well maintained
Staff is friendly
Cons:
No signs on holes or directions to next hole
Tight fairways
No snack bar and restaurant had LIMITED menu
I will be back and will try again and hope I play better and I'll eat before I come again.
My family and I had a blast snow tubing.
Always love the golf here, but went tubing for the first time and it was an absolute BLAST! I highly recommend checking it out
I always love this course. It is very well maintained. They now have GPS carts, which is awesome. You can even keep score on it. Very cool. The nee GPS is on new carts as well.
We had fun last year tubing. Very family friendly. Look forward to go again. Must book ahead.
I've played Greystone many times and everytime I do, I walk away satisfied and impressed. Greens are true and roll at a nice pace. Course is very well designed and has had many updates over the last few years to make it better. I love the course and try to play it whevener I'm in the Rochester area. Highly recommend
Difficult. I shoot about 100 on an average 18. Shot a 110 on my first go around here. Gorgeous conditions, fast greens and good pace of play for a 730am tee time on an 80 degree Sunday morning. Wildlife was great too... Saw a deer, fox, turtle, snake and flock of geese. GPS on the cart was clutch. Left little to be desired.
Hidden gem in Rochester. If you love golf and are in the area you are going to want to play this course. Challenging but very reasonably priced. The bar inside is nice, food is good, and it's even a great wedding venue.
Gorgeous golf course for our 4rh fundraiser for cancer research. Excellent food, and staff. Wonderful place to golf and hold any kind of benefit. We'll be back next year.
Great golf course. Understand that it's links style so it plays different and has a lot of rolling hills with high grass, where I typically play from. 🙂 …
Was amazing time with my dad.
had fun with my family however two young men at the bottom of the hill were incredibly rude to my cousins and I (they are 5 and 7) don’t hire people who act miserable please
Best public course in Monroe County by a mile! Always in impeccable shape and the scenery is beautiful! Highly recommend!!
Had a great time. No super long lines. Trails were fast. Had dinner inside.. All good..
$65. Clams.....
Worth every dime ! Nobody broke 100
Greens impossible. No gimmies
Perfect condition. Hoping to play soon.
Gold tees give us a chance.
Great golf course. Usually good pace. Very good food. Bar is great, lots of choices for beer and the bartenders are very cool. Don't ever change.
Nice experience of snowtubing.26$ per person and one can snowtube for 2hrs.Adults and kids had fun.will visit again next year.
We went to a work function with snow tubing and food and beverage. It was awesome! The staff was great and the tubing was fast!
Fun and great for little kids too.
Course is always in great condition. Layout is unique and challenging for players of all skill levels. I enjoy myself every time I get to play here.
Hands down best course around !!! From staff to course conditions. I have always had an excellent experience at Greystone. Awesome food as well
Great course! Lots of challenges. The greens are fast but true and in good shape. One of the best I've played anywhere.
Course is great, services not great. Played on weekend snackbar not open when we made the turn at 9 am. Finished 18 by 11 and never saw a beverage cart on course
The course and facilities were in great shape and well maintained. Each hole offers variety which keeps it fun even when you're not playing well. Can't wait to go back.
Snow tubing was so much fun! Great time overall and didn't even have to walk up the hill! They have a great set up!
Excellent!!
Food was good and a great wait-staff!
The bartender ,Sam ,is a master mixologist! Opens a mean beer too!
Very nice..Met with (Gary) in the proshop who gave us a good deal of infomation about the course as well as other nice courses in the area. Listed in Golf Digest as a top 20 in the State..No brainer for people visiting from Canada. Many good courses in the area as well as three new Hotels in Webster, fifteen minutes away
Beautiful course with lots of Vista's! My favorite in the Rochester area!
Went snow tubing here today. What an awesome experience. Such a great time and very friendly staff making it a fun winter outing with my family.
Snow tubing was so much fun! They have a great system in place; was fun from start to finish. We will definitely return!
Course was great, pace of play slow. Restaurant not organized. Choice of sides limited, no coin change. Didn't want to do separate bills
Wonderful course. Well laid out and maintained. Friendly staff. Had a great day.
One of If not the best course around! Absolutely gorgeous with friendly staff. My favorite hands down!
Wonderful place to play golf, not a bad hole on this course. Plenty of chances to make a great shot that keeps any golfer coming back😊 …
New carts this year with GPS. Made several improvements to the course the last few years
Went snow tubing for the first time there. Lots of fun there on a cold winter day.
Had our church golf tournament today. The course is outstanding and in great shape for early August.
Fantastic course. A little pricey but it's worth the money. Fairways are almost as nice as the greens
One of the BEST courses around. Hands down the fastest greens I've seen, good luck.
Great golf course, good driving range with targets, really friendly staff.
Really enjoyed the golf course. Great place to go a play a round
Good time, kiddie hills in front, big hills in back
My family of 6 went here for snow tubing, everyone had a great time, highly recommended!
Nice course, quite a few greens not in very good shape from ball marks and post aeration, but overall fun.
Snowtubing is great!!!
Felt weird being there to go tubing and not golf. Lol. Great time
This course rivals a TPC course I played in Tampa FL. Tampa Palms Golf course where the old Syncoast classic was played. Fantastic
Fun time for family snow tubing at night. Male sure to get your tickets ahead of time
Favorite course in the area. Great bar and restaurant and awesome that they do tubing in the winter time.
The evening we went the hills were super slick and fast!! Great family fun
Played early in the season it was in good shape for the time of year. Can't wait to play in the better weather. Very chalaging but fair.
Was there for a party. The inside was very nice and the food was good. Didn't do any golfing, was in the middle of winter.
Great course with a lot of character and perfect greens. Guys at the pro shop we’re very helpful!
An amazing links style golf experience, super course conditions, amazing new carts, and a great staff
Beautiful public course. Very well maintained. The modern clubhouse is a nice touch.
They made it much easier this year.. took out lots of heather and trees.. an easier course by 3 or 4 shots for a mid-handicap.
Great course!! A real challenge, but fair and was in perfect shape
A challenging course. Very well kept. Pro shop staff was accommodating and friendly.
Perfect night for snow tubing, they do a nice job there with friendly employees and good music
Employees enjoy their jobs..good to see..was a great time with great food
We went tubing. It was super fast and fun! Great time for sure
Course is in excellent condition. Fairways are firm and the greens are running medium-fast.
Love Greystone! Great public golf course run by awesome people!
Great experience, challenging course in very good shape.
Super great best experience in a golf course 👌 …
Beautiful place. Clean. They play music while you're snowtubing.
It was extremely fun snow tubing there and the food in the restaurant was was amazing.
Beautiful course, love the high tech golf carts
Great course. Kind of expensive but a lot of fun.
Beautiful well designed course. One of the best in WNY.
Place was very clean. Food was delicious and the wait staff was very helpful. I will go there again.
Great golf course, friendly staff with great rates
Good time snow tubing. Although, I did try hitting on this albino chick, which turned out to be a snow man.
Great course, friendly staff and good food.
The course was in wonderful shape. Could use some better signage.
Best course in Rochester. Well maintained.
Fun experience & will definitely be back this season & many more! Thank you!

Well done. Course was a little hard but very playable.

Excellent. I'd play there everyday if I could.

Great food!
Great shape😀 …
Great time!
Beautiful
Nice course.
Fast greens
Fun tubing experience. 2 hour time block was enough for our group. Nice lift to pull tubes up the hill. Pro shop lunch after tubing was good. One issue was the server forgot our daughter’s order and, though they eventually brought her her food, she basically had no time to eat. The manager was aware and said the best he could do to compensate us for the trouble was to offer one of the adults a “drink” (assuming an alcoholic drink based on his inability to offer something to our minor daughter). At midday and at the end of the meal (before driving home), I thought it an odd and inadequate offer. Must be looking for profits over customer service on a $200 lunch for 9 people (on top of $28 per person tubing fee)!
