Reviews of Meadow Brook Golf Course
Easily top 5 Public Golf Courses in RI! Great layout, multiple tee boxes to choose from for different skill levels - amazing greens! I learned the owners also have Exeter - both GREAT courses - thank you for keeping them in such great shape!
Meadowbrook is always a pleasure to play. Great course conditions, challenging layout, and immaculate greens. Spectacularly long par 5 12th hole is always a challenge, but my favorite hole on the course. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially in letting you know where the 1st tee box is. Super confusing if it's your first time there. Highly recommend this course!
What an outstanding golf course. Beautiful layout that works its way through the native trees and hills. This course is meticulously maintained. Fairways were bent grass. Large greens were well protected by perfectly groomed bunkers, they rolled true on all 18. Play this course from the back and you're looking at +7,400 yards. Plenty of tee options in front of that. A very manageable 6,500 yards from the normal tees. No driving range, however. Great post round pub to eat and drink.
I really like this golf course and for a public course, it sort of feels like private course conditions. The greens are always fast, professionally designed layout, and some gorgeous views as well. Highly recommend golfing here.
I have a passion for tough courses. This course is more about choosing the correct tees to play. I remember before this course got renovated and we used to put $5 dollars in an honor box to play. It isn't the same course. The course is beautifully laid out except for the start where we need to walk a ways to get to the first tee and the practice green. The club house is small but the staff and the family that owns the course make up for the areas that are lacking.
This course could be a mega course if the right investor were to buy it and add a Club house and Event venue up by the first hole. Time will tell.
My drink of choice is a cold Stella.
Friendly staff...(rating 1-5 5being awesome) tees 4...fairways 4.5...rough 4(not to deep and consistant)greens 4( stimp8-9)...bunkers 1( haven't been raked in a month).. overall 4...lost ranger finder..not returned to proshop 😖 …
Very nice course. Lush fairways, stay out of the rough, huge manicured greens that are receptive to shots, but I'd prefer them to be a tad speedier. $44 for a senior walking n it's an easy walking course.
Absolutely one of my favorite courses in the south county area, course is in great shape right now, greens quick and true....always tell customers of mine that if they're in the area definitely worth checking out.
Nice course . Have played 2 or 3 times and will return. Good shape. We play nine holes late afternoon and moved along well. Get out before the leagues.
Beautiful landscape shaped holes. Very challenging. In great shape.
Played Sunday afternoon. 5 1/2 hours. No ranger on the course. We walked. Screwy layout, LOTS of extra walking. Rough a little long.
Off at 815 on a Sunday. 4-4.5hr round. Course in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all good. No range. Putting green is near hole 1 which is a drive from clubhouse. Tree lines but wider fairways. Played from blues and was challenging. Tips would have been even more.
Beautiful course even this late in the season. The greens are a little fast. Love the challenges with the placement of the pins...
Good sandwich lunches. Allowed guests who don't golf.
All around great links course. Challenging yardage for various handicaps. Open space, well placed traps, water. Tees, fairways and greens very well kept. Rough can be tough but keeps an errant shot in play. Great price for 18 and a walkable course. Favorite of all the Richmond area golf courses.
Great course, in great shape would definitely recommend playing here
First time playing Meadow Brook. Have looked forward to playing there for quite a while. Did not disappoint. Enjoyed the course very much. Layout (design) and condition was excellent. Top notch public course at a fair price.
Challenging but fair layout. Greens rolled true, but they are hard, so don't expect to stop your shot easily. Only complaint was lack of a ranger. Our round took 5 hours.
Love the course it's in great shape.somthing needs to be done about super slow golf .took 5 1/2 hrs. to Play 18 holes.absolutly rediculess.people are playing the blue tees.who shouldn't be. Need some rangers on the course to keep people moving and on the appropriate tees. No high handicappers on the back tees.won't be coming back anytime soon.hope they do something soon to make it more enjoyable.
The course is beautiful. Well maintained fairways some of the best tee boxs I've seen all year .the greens are almost perfect even after the long dry summer also the fastest greens I've ever played. Challenging but really fun
Always a fun course to play. Although as I grow older the course seems to get longer.
No worries though...5 sets of tee boxes ranging from 7468 yards to 5308 yards.
Beautiful course...a bit pricey but impeccable condition
Love playing here, Beautiful course, well kept up.. fairways were beautiful... Greens were hard and fast... had a fun day of New England Golf in November..
Loved this course.
The routing of the holes is great.
Just enough trouble to keep it interesting, but not enough to blow up your score.
Very walkable. Could stand to pave the pocking lawt and the cot paths.
Don't like my sass? Shouldn't have invited yaw cahzin...from. Bahston.
A beautiful course that is breathtaking!! The course is tough and long!! It can play as much as 7500 yards from the back tees, they have 5 sets of tees for all handicaps, i play from the green tees which play 6532 yards!! A golf cart is necessary for this course
Exceptional public golf course! One of the best in RI.
Huge greens, check your yardage to the flag. Medium speed right now but fairly fast in season. Easy to walk with no big elevation changes. Highly recommended.
Great value. Plays like a more expensive or exclusive course. Always in great shape. Many tee boxes to chose from. Challenging greens. Club house leaves something to be desired and hence the 4/5.
This is my favorite public golf course ever.
Only compliant is 5.5hrs is to long to play. Ranger would be a good idea for pace of play. Course wise is great course. Very challenging but good layout
Played on 11/22, Dan welcomed us when we arrived and the place is just great.
I will be back more often.
For late season golf it's in super condition.
And we'll be putting it on the schedule in the good weather.
Great course. Well maintained. A little pricey but still worth it. Best course in southern ri. I didnt like that we were rushed by the grounds men who kept following is even though we kept a good pace and were basically the only ones on the course
Not sure what a Michael C. Is talking about, the parking lot is not across the street, also Crystal Lake is almost 50 minutes north of Meadow Brook. That besting said this is probably one of, if not the best conditioned public courses in the state. I played Lake of Isles and it wasn’t even close to a nice as this place.
Fun course in rural Rhode Island. The fairways have many twists, turns, ups, and downs, which add interest to the round. The routing of the holes is excellent and greens rolled very true. Great price too.
Nice course. Very slow play today. Too many singles on the course. I couldn't finish the round in 4 hours. I asked a 3some if j could play they said no, I asked 2 singles if I could join they said no. I never ever seen peyoe like this. Great course.
The course itself is probably the best public in the area save perhaps Lake of Isles at Foxwoods. It's a great design with lots of variety hole to hole and large greens that are pretty fair. There are many tees to chose from that aren't just two sets of tee markers on the same tee box; each tee actually provides a significantly different experience and range from under 6K to upwards of 7.5K yds. Additionally, it's conveniently located near I95 but not so close you can hear the highway.
Downsides are that there are virtually no facilities to speak of: no range, minimal practice green, and a very measly clubhouse oddly located at the 2nd tee. There is no more than a porta-potty at the turn. Also, you cannot book a tee time online and must call, which is inexcusable this deep into the 21st century.
A weekend tee time is fairly spendy, but there are price breaks to be had early, late, and weekdays which make a round at Meadow Brook definitely worth it.
I haven’t played at Meadow Brook since right before Facebook was invented. Back then you could play for $10 and if no one was working that day, you could still use the Honor Box and get in a full 18 or more. The course had a lot of potential and the new ownership has finally taken it to the next level and beyond.
The attention to detail around the tee boxes and greens makes this Hendrick Family golf course one of the best in Rhode Island. The fairways are cut to perfection and the hazards are...well...hazardous! The course plays long and trees are in play on most holes. Bring your “A” game if you want to break 100 here. 5 stars all the way around!
The reason I said only three and not five, I will say that the grounds were very nice but the players on the course were rude obnoxious it was backed up every hole for at least 15 minutes. They're actually became a verbal argument between two groups that became very disturbing.
Great course layout and great condition!
Beautiful, somewhat challenging and diverse course. Was my second time playing and will be returning. -1 star because the ranger was a rude jerk to us after not being very clear about when to start after we had tee'd off.
Very pricey for slow play. They need to pair up singles. Rangers need to be more aware. Nice layout but way to slow. Waited 15 mins each hole to tee off.
Great course, paid $47 for 18 homes with a cart during the week after 3. If you play from the tips, it's a VERY long course. Beautiful course though.
Alot of green issues ,mold fungus, iration, it still puzzles me how a great golf course can charge all the money when they are still working on issues.
Fun to play from the tips. Great conditions for public play. Rangers tried to push pace of play with a slow group in front of us. Voucher for food after the round. I hope the RIGA does an event here soon.
Great public course. Challenging layout. Much more difficult from the blue tees. Have fun with the silver tees if you don't shoot regularly in the 80's.
Bunkers although well groomed had very little sand above the hard base. Lots of sculled shots due to bounce against the base.
Course in grat shape considering all the heat we've had.
Nice course
Coming back next week
Love the course. It's a must play !
Course is in excellent shape! Will definitely go back!
Amazing course, great layout, awesome from the tips, greens were in great shape.
Excellent food, I remcommed the burger and fries!
Creative layout and pristine maintenance of fairways and greens for a fair price. One of better public courses for value im NE
Excellent golf course, many different tees to play from. Great layout and in good condition, a must play.
Beautiful course. Played in the late fall. Greens were little bumpy and slow but still had a great time.
Best public course in Rhode Island, and a friendly staff. In great shape
Real nice course, big open fairways, nice greens. Great course design, alot of fun..
Love the layout! Big greens, nice fairways! A real treat to play. 5 tees make it fun for everyone.
Great layout and conditions were really good, played this week and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Great course, very well maintained, and pretty reasonable price for what you're getting.
Fun course! High quality. Good condition. Fun and interesting design. It's also pretty casual despite the high quality which is something I value.
Great course. It proposes a challenge with its length but it's not to bad. Wide open and beautiful
Excellent Track. You know you've play a Great Course when you've finished the round.
Beautiful course. Great greens. Best course within a 50 mile radius.
Course is great shape. Had a good round. Had fun.

Very good condition. Good grill room and bartender. PRICE at $56 is a little high for weekday .
Great place to golf and work Hendrick family are five star for sure. Public golf that plays like private.👍👍 …
Great day of golf even in the pouring rain for the first six holes!
Great condition, just wish the starter would have told us we had to be off the course before dark.
