Nice course. Some strange holes, but fairly challenging. GPS carts are a pain. Several glitches on fairways and cart paths, that stopped it dead. Why rent a cart that won't take you to your ball, ON THE FAIRWAY, in dry conditions. Other than the cart issues it is a well maintained municipal course

Even with the drought, fairways were green and greens in great shape. Good food at the pub as well.

Great golf course, excellent woodsy, municipal course. Medium fast, often raised, smallish greens--Black Tees can be 50 yards farther than next closest Tee. Range on premises; two practice putting greens.

This is a really great public golf course that offers 18 holes and is laid out very nicely. The staff is always helpful and run the course very well. They also have a lot of golfing events for the ladies and men’s groups. Pro shop while small offer is a fairly good range of equipment and apparel. There’s also Rachel’s On The Green which is the in-house restaurant & bar that It is very clean and very friendly.

Only have once so far but it was very nice. Carts were new with gps built in so that was a little frustrating. If you got in an area your not supposed to be in, it would either stop or go 1/4 speed. The food is good, staff is friendly. I’ll go back for sure.

Pretty great place to golf well kept greens and fairways rachels on the green, the restaurant in the clubhouse is great defenatly stop in there after your game. Pretty good junior program here too, summer camp is very worthwhile. Overall, I think Val Hallla is about as good as a public golf course gets, hence my 4 star review.

Breakfast with friends in Rachel's. Friendly atmosphere with extremely nice and accommodating wait staff. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Didn't feel rushed to leave so chitchatted for awhile. Enjoyed my mimosas. Will be back.

The setup at Valhalla is really great top shelf. Gary was terrific helping us out set up the different screens and throughout our experience up there he couldn't have been more helpful. Lunch at the restaurant was a perfect ending to a really great day thank you.

Great track, great food...I'll be joining this year. The pro Brian Bickford is a stand-up guy and a great resource for the Southern Maine golf community. Highly recommend this course.

One of my favorite Maine golf courses to shoot on. You have to make sure you shoot the huge par 5 that's about 600 yards and doglegs right, the perfect hole for a golfer with a huge slice in his swing! This golf course is also close to some family friendly walking trails managed by the town. Drop the wife and kids off at the trail for a hike, and set your clubs in the golf cart and your off!
