Reviews of The Reserve Vineyard & Golf Club
We had our wedding here 10/01/2022. Gina (the venue coordinator) did an amazing job jumping in and taking over last minute for the previous coordinator (Kameron). We didn’t have to worry about anything due to the organization of the staff! The day was flawless and beautiful! The food was amazing, and you just can’t beat the views by the pond! I’m so happy we had our wedding here. Thank you very much to The Reserve for a perfect day!
Date of play: 9/20/22 Absolutely incredible golf experience. I'm from STL Missouri and was in town and wanted to play a round. I happened to pick the best course in the area. This is in the same league of quality and conditions as Paynes Valley, Tiger's new course in Branson Missouri. And I wanted to give a tip of the cap to Don the starter on the north course. A world class Starter / Marshall. Thanks for the great experience Don!
I photographed a wedding here and would recommend this venue to any couple that wants a timeless, elegant and modern feel. The staff was great to work with and my couple was glad they booked their venue here!
We were invited to perform for the wedding at The Reserve Vineyard and Golf Club on 09/04/21. It is absolutely beautiful place to have the wedding ceremony outside of the golf course (facing the river), and a lots of space inside for cocktail hour and reception. One of the most beautiful venues in Oregon!!!!

Was pleasantly surprised on our return visit. Seem like they updated a lot since even just a few years ago. New menu items slightly different atmosphere and gorgeous deck. Must visit while you're in the area or catching a round of golf.
This is a lovely facility. Always has been. The course (public side) is in excellent shape. The only issue is it is NOT fast playing. It's rather funny the starter tells you they expect a 4 hour round and it is not even close, try 5. If they hadn't of said anything, we never would have known, but they were so damn adamant about it that one must rate/review/write about it.
Very beautiful course. First time playing there. Definitely worth it. There are more bunkers at the reserve then all other golf courses put together. They do use white sand in all their traps if that makes a difference. Beautiful club house looks like a castle.
The location had that classing Golf course vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. Though perhaps missing a little of the emotional warmth found wanting at a golf course.
The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Clubs is among the crown jewells of my long real estate career! It took me 7 years to assemble all the land and work with the best designers and clients in the world to see this world class golf course get built. It was a place I spent some time in my youth when there were farms there and when those farmers needed to sell it was my honor to put together a project like this one! Thanks to the Park family for making The Reserve a reality. The course could have been an average golf course and made good financial sense. But it would not have been thefinest 36 hole Golf Course in the entire region if they chose that route. That is what this place is. Now add to that the clubhouse which is the most unique and incredible building in the County and the exquisite dining and decks at the Vintage Room and you have the makings of a legendary place! And this place is. For Golf, corporate events, intimate and groups meals, or just a place to go and have a glass of fantastic wine while you watch the sun set- the Reserve is the place! I frequent the Vintage room with clients and have enjoyed more golf there than most people will ever play- I am truly blessed for my efforts to have gone so far in the hands of such great people. I will always be very very proud of this one. No matter how many properties I see, the Reserve stands at the top of any of them! Many thanks to the staff and hard working people and to the Reserve for bringing so many jobs to our town and such a quality place where people can enjoy themselves!
The Reserve is a great place to spend an afternoon or morning. The course has been in great shape recently, and the staff are always accommodating. The driving range is also well-maintained and the "social distancing" is practically built-in.
If you're looking to get outside, grab some exercise and recreation, The Reserve is a great place to do that. They also have some great food options for your post-round meal and drinks.
Thank Goodness our local government has "allowed" golf courses to remain open- The Reserve is a great space to enjoy our awesome Spring/Summer/Fall weather here in Oregon. And those gems of sunny Winter days!
What a great golf course!
I played it back in September during the smoky days in Portland. That wasn’t going to stop golf!
It has to be one of the best courses in the Portland metro.
It’s two great golf courses, the north and south course. A wonderful restaurant, great bar friendly service beautiful greens lots of critters very few people. Have a wonderful happy hour burgers fries tater tot’s etc. cocktails from mai tais to absinthe wonderful place to go.
Beautiful golf course. Friendly service. Instruction is wonderful. Fabulous place for the family. Great location.
Beautiful golf course. Friendly service. Instruction is wonderful. Fabulous place for the family. Great location.
Very friendly staff. When they served us a different meal from what we ordered, they didn't charge for that dish. Otherwise their prices are pretty high. What else to expect during a high inflation and a place which is part of a golf course. The food was good but they have very limited choice of vegetarian food.
The course for the price point was great (played the North).
We came over to Portland for a golf trip weekend and we were fortunate enough to be paired with a regular/employee (Bob) who made the round that much more enjoyable.
Everything was fantastic and I will definitely be back to try the South Course.
Beautiful course and fun playing partners and perfect fall weather. North course was a great challenge on the back 9. Always a treat to play here.
Amazing. My friend hit a hole in one, 3rd hole, 151 yard par 3, North Course!!! Wonderful setting, great course, beautiful location. Good food.
Kind of a different place with family style eating (i.e. lots of sharing), but the food was great!
Beautiful! Looking forward to a sunset on the deck next time. Sweet potato fries are very yummy! 😋🍻 …
Fun to bike over when visiting family and have breakfast overlooking the golf course! Great selection, fun servers! Beautiful course!
First class facility. Excellent greens; very quick! Played the South Course and it is long. Choosing the correct tee box is important
Gorgeous greens. We played early in the year and it was pretty horrible outside the fairway and near the pin. Bar cart lady automatically applied 20% tip to every purchase.
So I’ve played a handful of times at the Reserve on both courses and it’s an awesome setup. Best setup and value in the Portland area considering the courses are absolute quality. Ordinarily things like courses maintenance etc are just part of the deal but I played there yesterday on the North a week after aeration of the greens and honestly having to pay the full rate wasn’t great considering the condition. Again, I’m fine to play on aerated greens - I just don’t think paying full price is good when they are in that condition - we had 10 guys out there and all felt the same way. Maybe something to think about.
The Reserve is such a great place for golf! During the pandemic the staff was innovative about ways to keep the course while keeping us safe. They’re innovative about normal club operations, too! We have “The Academy” were we do club fittings and give lessons using Trackman or Gears (body motion sensors). The Academy was recently upgraded to expand the practice tee and green. It had a green side bunker and fairway bunker to sharpen your sand game. The courses are typically in fabulous shape, especially the greens! The Vintage Room restaurant was closed for the pandemic, but should reopen about May. Historically the food has been great. All that’s missing is you and three buddies.
Course is in great shape. Played North Course tonight.
Great place for breakfast. Chicken waffles are amazing.
I'm visiting from California & playing for the first time here. The South crs design is interesting & challenging. The crs was in good condition. The practice facilities were excellent. I would say this is definitely one of the best courses I have played in the Portland area.
Great place for breakfast and chill. I don't play golf though.
Beautiful course with a great variety of holes. I am not a great golfer by any stretch of the imagination and this course is challenging enough for experienced players but not so difficult that I was unable to enjoy playing here. The marshals kept pace of play reasonable and were nice to chat with. One downside for me was the new Street of Dreams homes built along the edge of the course were close enough that my slice made me likely to break some expensive windows.
Some edits. I play in a league that plays here once a week. Alternating between North and South course, front nines only. I play here because of the league, but it's not my preferred place to play. For one, $30 is an expensive 9 holes. They are nice courses as far as upkeep, challenge, etc. My other negative besides the cost is these courses are not for the weekend/high handicap golfer trying to improve. Too frustrating and too penalizing. If you are unable to play all the time (which is required to get good), play here expecting to get frustrated and defeated. And you shouldn't be learning to putt on slick slopey greens - be warned. Both course have abundant in-your-face hazards to penalize any mishit you make. We are not professional or tournament golfers here. My takeaway - there's easier, cheaper courses around to learn and practice on without being tortured. Once you get good, for me, then maybe courses like the Reserve are the next level of challenge.
Wonderful views of the golf course. Good food & service
Chicken nachos. Okay not the great. Grilled chicken cubed not shredded.
Of course, the grounds are wonderful and it's a great course to play. The design is fun for all levels but can be challenging for beginners.
I've played the course several times and participated in tournaments hosted by the reserve. I enjoy playing the course. My rating is downgraded only because the service is always slow, at times unfriendly, and there seems to be a communication problem between the club house and the people on the course. Rarely does anyone ever seem to know what's going on.
The course itself is great to play, but I can no longer recommend hosting any non-profit tournaments there.
The Vintage Room is located in The Reserve golf course clubhouse. There is lots of outside seating both covered and uncovered. The grounds are always well kept and offer a beautiful view. Most of the food offerings are standard American cuisine items. They offer a brunch menu on Sunday and happy hour menus all days except Monday and Tuesday. There is plenty of public parking available. They can accommodate large groups.
This year my 8 year old grandson went to their Jr. Golf Camp. We wanted to expose the grandson to other sports different than what he is familiar with. So far he is loving the instructions and asked if we could sign him up again for the July and August camp. The instructor is very good and positive with the kids and I highly recommend this golf academy for your young ones. Also -- the food at the restaurant is fantastic and fairly priced.
The Reserve has different size rooms for venues of a variety of needs. One of the rooms has a big conference table and is decorated almost like the library of an estate. Up stairs can be adjusted to accommodate a large or even huge group. The catering is excellent and the portions are generous. It can be help yourself style buffet with servers for the entrées. Delicious.
Course was great, only miss 1 shot all day. Pace of play was terrible however. 5 hour round on too hot a day. Cart girl was non attentive which affected the experience but again, the golf and company was fantastic!
Food a little spendy of course but taste was very good. Didn't improve my golf though.
Recently we had our son’s Celebration of Life at the Reserve Vineyard and Golf Club. Every detail was to perfection. It overlooked the golf course and what a beautiful view.
The Breiland family wants everyone to know how wonderful this place is. The staff, the restaurant and the golf course are excellent!!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You made such a horrible day into a bearable day.
Great courses! The Reserve has two great 18 hole courses located in Hillsboro, Oregon. The clubhouse is beautiful with a nice little bar and restaurant. Pro shop is large with a good selection of golf merchandise. Putting greens areba little small but have enough room. The driving range is very well groomed,
With no mats. The North Course is a unique layout with rolling fairways and trees, with a few long carries. The South Course plays more like a links golf course and has a lot more sand and trouble around. The greens are always fabulous. I would highly recommend The Reserve Vineyard & Golf for any outing.
I absolutely love the north course. The south is very nice as well. They switch every few weeks from private to public so you can golf both. It is way overpriced most days of the week so I suggest twilight rates or using a tee time app to look for deals.
TWO stars for the rangers and I'm being generous. They're either non-existent or rude. It took us 5.5hrs to finish 18 holes in June.
Five stars for the course conditions and course design.
Great course. Not impressed with the people.
I officiated my second wedding here and they are top notch. They have 3 wedding coordinators. The staff treat you like family and the Top sirloin steak was the best I've ever had at a wedding or any buffet dinner. Fantastic venue!
Beautiful day for golf, but settled for lunch with friends in the deck. Good Reuben and Reserve salad and, surprisingly, good service. Our previous visit for a Happy Hour, not so great.
Great view of the course from the deck of restaurant. Good food, drinks and excellent service!
If u are there late definitely catch the sunset on the deck! Outstanding!
Best golf deals & choices in Portland. Two totally different courses available. Course is in great shape and greens are really taken care of - drainage is perfect.
Spring and Summer rounds will routinely take over 5 hours. The course struggled with the wet Falls and Winters in the past, but staff have done a great job preparing the course for the rains this year. The renovations to the south were very well designed and completed!
Every Friday they have prime rib for dinner! It comes with mashed potatoes and broccoli. This was so OnPoint! A great place to have a good dinner with friends. I wouldn't say it's a good place for kids. Only because it's pretty adult-friendly and there's no entertainment for them.
I could play either North or South course everyday.... if I could play both everyday I’d be even happier! Would be nice if there was a 10-20% discount for locals to make it more affordable. GolfNow serves that purpose to some degree or alternatively playing after 4pm will save some coin.
Food on patio on Thursdays in Summer is
a good situation, especially with live music.
Just wish there was more of a chipping / short game practice area near clubhouse.
So glad they are open again. Food is great. Maybe a little higher priced than similar restaurants. Food is top notch. Views are amazing. What's not to like?
Never had a bad time here. Greens run fast, but consistently fast across all 18. Tee boxes always well kept and staff is always friendly. Strongly considering a membership.
I have wanted to play the South course since attending the Fred Meyer Challenge back in 2000. My day finally came this year, and it was a disappointment. The young man at the bag drop was great, recognizing that we had come from near his home town and making us feel welcome. Other than that, the greens had been aerated in the previous couple of weeks and had not been mowed in quite some time. The conditions were nowhere near the quality I expected or paid for. The price for two of us with a cart during twilight hours was nearly the same as the monthly fee I pay for my family membership at my home club. I had very high expectations, they were not met.
Cody and Brad, great job organizing the first tournament of the year! Blue skies and sunshine! Turf care has done an amazing job - course is amazing and Henri and the staff had delicious food! Outstanding everything! Thanks to everyone!
The food was just okay. My fish was overcooked. My wife's tacos were lacking in flavor and a little bit chewy. The view and sunset we're terrific, but the food want worth the price paid.
Skout golf group and private lessons are the main reason we support this golf course. Cole and Sebastian are amazing coaches and do really well at training all age groups to excel at the game of golf.
Pretty cool place and a fine, playable course. Pretty open for those of us that are a little wild off the tee. One of the prettiest club houses in the city. Just fun being there on a pleasant afternoon.
Play member-guest there on the North and South course and the course is in great shape. The greens were fast and they were able to hold the ball, awesome place to play golf , if I lived there I would be come a member for sure
I was excited to try the newly updated South course after a few rains because it was supposed to be great for that. Well.... not so much. The bunkers were amazing, but the rest of it is still terrible. This course just isn't cut out for anything but late spring / summer conditions. Also, pace was horrible. They really need to do something to fix that. It has been happening more and more.
Good layout, good condition for this time of year. SUPER STINGY with range balls—bring an extra $20 to buy enough balls to truly warm up. And pace of play is ATROCIOUS. It took me 5-1/2 hours to play 18 today. Marshals are absent. This is too nice and too expensive a course to have these problems.
Great golf course. Excellent greens.
I just wish that my round wouldn't take almost 6 hours.
A lot slow people.
Excellent facility, and service. Wonderful chef! Easy access. Great location. Beautiful accomodations.
Great food and awesome service for a reasonable price! If youre lucky you can get a reservation for one of their wine pairing nights that are hosted occasionally. The food and drink is excellently paired and delicous!
just played the north course. great condition. quick greens. fun layout. friendly staff. can't wait to play again. most enjoyable round of my trip.
This is a wonderful oasis in Aloha that is tucked back from TV Hwy near the intersection of Cornelius Pass. I attend several industry golf tournaments a year here. The food and service are outstanding!
Beautiful! We were there for a wedding. The waiters and waitresses were great and it was HOT! 106°F
The Vintage Room is a favorite destination for group outings. The staff is always warm and inviting and everyone goes out of their way to accommodate us. Both the food and the views are great!
Great course. Very nice amenities
Great course. The let Aloha hi school practice there
Ate lunch here. Was very good.
Had a great wedding ceremony here. Highly recommend.
The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club, rated 4-1/2 stars, is home to two top-quality championship golf courses. The highly-rated South course is an "American traditional" layout with mature stands of Oregon trees, natural terrain and numerous bunkers filled with sparkling white sand imported from Idaho.
The grounds were very pretty, but not really set up for the ones who had to use the elavator, and try to find your way threw the basement that was not entented for public passage way. The employee were very helpful and polite.
This is an outstanding golf course for better than average golfers. The greens are true and mimic the PGA tour. All new trapsxand the fairways are excellent.
I have only played the North course on multiple occasions and it is just OK I'd say. Nothing to write home about really. Other than late spring or summertime its kinda wet and sloppy. Rounds have taken too long every time out in my opinion. Isn't that what marshalls are for?
The Reserve is hands down the most well kept and beautiful course I have ever played, and it's very challenging as well!
Really nice course with some fun greens and plenty of space. Spendy and full of the kind of people you'd expect at an expensive golf course
Beautiful golf course and a nice restaurant.
The course was in great shape, the pace of play was at 4 hours. This is a wide open course, but challenging. The greens were tough to read, which made it fun!
I attended a wedding at The Reserve. Wow! Very beatiful and the service for food was great. I didn't golf so I can't speak to that, but the greens looked very well-maintained.
The public course is fun and the private course challenging. The property is beautiful with amazing views of both courses. Good food with a great service staff.
Absolutely top notch but it's way reasonable. Location and gardens make this a romantic spot. Beautiful countryside, walks with aisles of flowers. Escape a moment from the city vibe. A find.
They have a great pro shop and restaurant. You need play golf here! Beautiful course and very clean. They even have bar cars across the course!
Good track.played south. Good shape in July, not a ton of sand traps, a bit challenging for average player
Vintage Room for dinner was delightfull... they made our Valentines dinner special. TRINA was so sweet and went above and beyond. Enjoyed our evening.
Golf course, 40 minutes away from Portland Oregon downtown, nice green field, great walking courses, beverage car services, moderate ranges, great front desk staffs and very helpful field staffs, spacious parking lot, nice natural field environment
Really well built course I usually get 90 over but shoot a 77
Difficult scramble on the North Course. Awesome clubhouse and very friendly staff. Nice enough range and well taken care of practice greens.
Excellent course for experienced golfers. Would not recommend for beginners. Lessons available. Highly recommend it for events.
Very beautiful golf club. We are planning our wedding reception here and the facilities and scenery is amazing
Nice course, greens were in good shape
What a course! Super slick greens, fairways and rough in great shape. Also the club house is pretty stunning
Great course, greens are in great condition. The staff very accommodating. Sunshine, new friends, fun times.
Course had plugged the fairways recently and made it tough. The ruff was about 4/5" high and made it very hard to find ball much less hit the ball.
Awesome course with plenty of natural obstacles like coyote and geese. A great time with great people.
Two courses. I like South more than North, but that's just me. Pretty good fairways and fast greens.
Love this place. Great golf courses and nice restaurants. Helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Great place to have a wedding, however if it is a reall, really hot day there is limited shade and their gazebo does not have fans or swamp coolers.
Good food, but the menu was limited. It's also expensive, as you might have guessed. Great for a nice dinner every once in a while.
Exactly what you would expect from a premium course - interesting layout, plush fairways and true-rolling greens. A good test at a fair price.
Beautiful venue. I didn't end up booking here, but it was a close call. The space is awesome, and their food is great.
Nice course in great shape. If your looking for an upper end course to play in the Portland area this is a good spot.
One of the best golf courses in Oregon.
Really nice, well kept fairways and greens. My father's favorite local place to golf.
Waitress was exceptional and the
Food was served hot and very
Delicious. Steaks & clams were
Both excellent.
5 star course hands down!
My absolute favorite public golf course on the west side of the Portland metro area. Great staff and beautiful venue!
This is an amazing club. Staff are well trained, course is in great shape and we love the experience.
Great Golf course, well keeped green and fairways. Very Friendly staff.
Excellent course, reccomend to all my friends.
Great layout and the course was in great shape. Very nice staff!
Beautiful place for a wedding!
Great course
Great day
Had 4 blow up holes
But the worst day golfing is better than the best day at work
Lol
Great place to sit a the deck, have a meal and watch the golfers
Best in the area no doubt , mixture of 2 fantastic courses , welcoming staff.. keep it up
Played the north side. Keep it in the fairway or bring plenty of extra balls, if it goes in the long grass you can kiss your ball goodbye.
We aren't golfers but this is our fav summertime restaurant. Great staff, food, & atmosphere- home run
The food and service was good. I'm not a golfer but the property was very nice.
The food is average, the service is good, and the golfing I don't know about as Iv only been there for functions.
2 great golf courses!
Simply marvelous!!!!!!!! Even the person that took me there was ok. He could have been more gracious and let me win.😁 …
Wonderful place for a round of golf. In first class shape
This is a great public golf course in the area with two different styles of play.
Beautiful course.. it was a pleasure golfing
Not real interesting (south course). Bag drop on one side of club house and cart return on other--both down a level. Confusing for old first-timers.
The food was great. Location is awesome can't wait to go back there with the family
Beautiful course and well maintained. One of the best in the area.
Two excellent golf courses and a really good bar and restaurant.
Nice place to practice on nice days , great golf course .
Great Food, Quiet place, Great for dates. Try to get in on their Wine Pairing Dinners.
One of the top courses in the Portland area. A super well manicured course.
Beautiful, absolutely a must-play! The customer service is excellent and the employees warm and inviting.
Nice course.... But they don't mow greens on Sunday! SAD!
This place is beautiful. We went here fir a wedding and it was perfect.
The course is always in fantastic shape and is a classy place to play.
