The course is great for beginners or people who are looking for an inexpensive place to play. Walking 9 after work for $20 can’t be beat, but if it was any more I would most likely play elsewhere. Greens are in good shape but the rest of the course needs water badly. If tee boxes, fairways and rough were irrigated this has the potential to be an awesome course, but for now it is a cheap option. Back 9 is more fun to play than the front.

First time on Sunset Ridge was fun. We are not experienced golfers so we let a couple warriors go by us. Then we settled down to earn our way through the course. Plenty of local color and clear directional markings. Terrain was challenging enough to test our skills but not to discourage our progress. We both lost an equal number of golfballs in the nearby woods and in the long grass but it was worth it to drop a new ball and learn our way to the flags nine times. Some shots flew a high arc and landed close to the pin but not often. We will definitely play here again and I don’t think we’ll get so good that we won’t want to play here. Nice neighborly course with some golf equipment treats for sale in the pro shop. Don’t tell anybody; this place is like a secret fishing hole. Can’t wait to try eighteen holes. Fall golf is very good at Sunset Ridge.

Disc golf course BADLY needs tee pads, but has potential. Nicely mowed and good use of obstacles.

Very nice staff, beginner course. However needs water and care. Not a walking course. 9th hole hardest but with some cleaning out of brush could be manageable. Tough to leave the worst hole to last, leaves a sour taste.

This course is in the best shape its been in a very long time! The greens are perfect and roll true. Cannot beat the price either. However, getting onto the course can be a challenge.. The first three holes were completely wide open yet I was required to have a tee time but there wasn't an opening until after 2:30PM? Great course but the golf course operation rules are a little funky.

Fun but very unforgiving course, Bring lots of balls!!! 9th hole is impossible even for an experienced player. A cart is a must!

I had a great round with a friend on Patriot's Day this past April. Only got t play the front 9 as the back 9 wasn't open. Love the layout of the front 9 and the hilly play which I found to be the right challenge for my skill set. Looking forward to playing throughout the summer here.

Nice little course. It would be better if the tee boxes had more grass on them. It would be easier if your feet weren't sliding around on dirt. The greens are much trickier than I expected.

We are new pickle ball players and the establishment at Sunset Ridge has been very welcoming and accommodating for us. While we were there are on several occasions, a number of people were golfing, driving, using the pool, and the tennis courts. We also ate in the club house and had a delicious meal (pub fare). For convenience and price, this place can't be beat.

Michael and his crew are great ambassadors for the state of Maine. On our trip to Nova Scotia our foursome stopped to play a round of golf while waiting for our ferry. Loved the course. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Will play again on our next trip.

This is a up and coming 9 hole with a Pro on site. The course and greens fees are beyond reasonable with pretty wide and open play. Be prepared to lose a few if you slice like I do.

I like it here. The price is fair, and it's close to home. There's only one holes which is a bummer, but they're all distinct and appropriately difficult. It's always an adventure when I come here. Now if they can just fix the driving range building

Previously known as Westerly Winds, this golf course also has some batting cages, and a mini putt as well. A good spot to take a ride away from the city, past a few farms in Gorham, Maine. About 25 minutes from Portland.

This is a nice challenging course design, fair rates and prices at the Pro shop. The only reason I cant give it 5 stars is the tee amd cart paths are not well kept. The greens play in tandem with the weather pretty well, the fairways are very nice and the course has its challenges. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful as well. Overall, its an enjoyable 9 hole course.

Swimming pool pass for $5 per person...wish they had it a little cheaper for families. Had a great time. Only wish you could pay at the pool....by credit card would be nice.
